I was at this Filipino restaurant a good while back with a group having mostly been to the Filipino places in Woodside. The staff here is friendly and the space is plenty large enough for big groups. In terms of the food in general, I would say that it was a bit less spiced compared to some other Filipino places such as Tito Rad's or some of the spots in Woodside but that might be just regional differences or something. To drink I had a "Barley Drink" as listed on the menu for $5.99 which turned out to be made with I believe mung beans. The drink was barely sweetened with a light floral and nutty flavor and was refreshing throughout the meal helping a lot with the richness of the various dishes. Our only small plate were the Sisig Tacos for $12.99 consisting of crunchy shells filled with pork or chicken sisig topped with lemon mayo. We chose pork and it was tasty though it was greasy as the crunchy shells were a bit wet which was especially the case for the areas topped with said sisig. The the sisig itself, the bite I had was very tasty with a good mix of texture and the lemon mayo helped reduce the richness and spiciness. This was overall good and I can see why others like it. My favorite of the main dishes was something I've had before which was the Ginataang Langka for $14.99 consisting of green jackfruit with shrimp in coconut milk. I like virtually everything cooked ginataang style and this was no exception with the large pieces of jackfruit having an almost meaty texture. The small shrimp in there added some nice texture and the coconut milk wasn't too sweet or rich with a bit of heat being a particularly good version of this dish. I would recommend it heavily. My next favorite was something else I've had before which was the Inihaw Na Bangus for $19.99 or grilled boneless milkfish stuffed with onions and tomatoes which also came with a small slaw on the side. The fish was well grilled and was very tender as it should be for this type of fish with the spicy vinegar cutting through the slight fattiness. This was a very tasty version and again, I would recommend this. The unique dish I've never had before was Chami for $15.99 consisting of sauteed egg noodles with pork and vegetables which was listed as sweet and spicy. The noodles had a good chew to them and the bit of pork in them were fine with a light mixture of vegetables. In terms of flavor, it was a tad light for my liking but overall, it went nicely with the other dishes but I wouldn't recommend it as your only main and just as a dish to split. The more generic grub was a bit worse. The Adobo Chicken for $15.99 was fine. There were plenty pieces of tender chicken though I felt the dish could have used a bit more vinegar as it was a bit more salty than sour which was unfortunate. This was OK. The Crispy Pork Kare-Kare for $17.99 was alright. As per some of the other dishes, the dish was a bit less spiced than usual which didn't really work as well here as it became a bit too peanutty compared to other places. The meat in there was well portioned though I felt they were a bit chewy also. I wouldn't really recommend this much. The rest of the people ate the Sizzling Pusit for $15.99 or squid sisig with peppers, onions, and special sauce. As I'm allergic to cephalopods, I couldn't partake and the people seemed to think the flavor was good which I'm not surprised that because the pork sisig was good but they found the squid a bit too chewy. I wish they got the bangus one instead and I don't really see that as often but oh well. In terms of rice, it can be ordered individually for $3.25 though I believe most main dishes come with it and you can pay a buck more for garlic rice/sinangag. I wouldn't really recommend the latter as I found the garlic rice to be light on garlic having when I felt like just small pieces of roasted garlic in there compared to many other places also using garlic oil to flavor. The food here is different than many other Filipino places and in some ways it works, and in some ways it definitely doesn't. This is lighter grub which was odd for me to think afterwards because the first dish we had was rich and well flavored while the rest of the dishes were a bit light in terms of spices. It wasn't my personal preference but I can see why others enjoy this place and there were certainly some good dishes among everything we ordered. 3.3
A small but great spot for Filipino food. I came here with a large group for an event and they were able to hook us up to the tv so we could play a video; we then had dinner (served buffet style), and then did karaoke. The food was great, and very tasty. The staff were incredibly friendly and were able to make accommodation for someone in our group who cannot eat gluten. The staff also kinda joined us for karaoke (they were singing along with us). 11/10 recommend
This Queens Blvd. Filipino cafe serves consistently tasty and artery-clogging renditions of all the cuisines classics, along with some fusion-ey twists like the crunchy shelled "sissig tacos" appetizer. Standouts include my personal go to order of the dark, vinegar braised Bistek Pinoy, the soft falling apart tender meat sopping up the sauce like a delicious, interspersed with rings lightly fried red onion always accompanied by the houses delicious garlic rice for a slight uncharge, as well as the famed crispy deep fried pork delight known as Bicol express, the shards of well crisped pork belly tossed in a deliciously sweet and spicy sauce of coconut milk, chili and shrimp paste. Of course any Fillpino spot is going to be judged on the quality of it's lumpia, and happily the ones here are greasy crunchy perfection on the outside and unctuous fatty pork (or chicken) goodness within. A deft hand with the deep fryer is consistently indicated across the menu but particularly where the other apps are concerned, as, in addition to the previously mentioned sissig tacos and lumpias, the fired shrimp and calamari are both worth ordering. Room is pleasant with decorations and artwork referencing the archipelago nation, where most of the patrons on any given time will likely hail from, and the staff is professional and efficient. Happily, in keeping with its Queens location and the general culinary culture of the borough, prices have remained reasonable even in our increasingly inflation racked times.
I'm not an expert on Filipino food but I certainly like this place. When we walked in they seated us right away and gave us menus. Inside was small and simple with some artwork decorating the walls. My sister who has been here before ordered for us. We got lumpia, sisig, a shrimp squash dish, fish and garlic rice. Everything was tasty and seasoned perfectly. I recommend this place for good food in general.
This restaurant looks small but they've added another side to have more seating. Service was friendly. We went for lunch on a Sunday so it wasn't rushed. Food was tasty. Not sure if it was authentically flavored but we enjoyed it.
There's nothing quite like homemade Filipino food--it feels as though I'm being served by my Filipino friend's mother. The eggs and beef were cooked to perfection, and the lechon was both crispy and tender. The garlic rice is a must-try. The service was prompt and friendly. I'll definitely be returning, Lahi!
This restaurant is definitely one I would go back to for a good Filipino family meal. Everything tastes so home cooked and delicious. Seeing local Filipino customers dining in as well, assured me that this is the place to be for an authentic Filipino meal. The food was flavorful. The garlic rice is the must get and I highly recommend. No matter what dish you try, you must get an order of garlic rice. It is so worth the extra $1 for it. The rice porridge with tripe was delicious. The tripe was tender and easy to eat. The pork sinigang was tangy and savory. There were lots of vegetables. I will definitely be coming back.
Best Filipino restaurant ever! I go food shopping in Elmhurst very often and saw this place is on the way. I decided to try and this place is one of my favorite restaurant since. Food is great and server are friendly, happy and polite. The restaurant actually expands to another room and has bigger space and table. When the restaurant is busy, you will hardly see the server because they are running around doing stuff. I love Dasilog (brunch menu), Deep fried milk fish with garlic rice and fried egg. Tosilog (brunch menu), Sweet red pork with garlic rice and fried egg. Bistek Pinoy, beef sauteed with onion Sisig Bangus, chopped crispy milkfish with onion and seasoned. my favorite desserts are Halo and Leche Flan.
We've always driven past Lahi but never took the time to check it out, and I'm so glad we finally did! As a party of 4, we were seated rather quickly on a Friday evening (around 7:15pm), but the restaurant did fill up a bit shortly after. The space is a bit on the smaller side, but gives a home-y vibe. Between the 4 of us, we initially decided on the pork lumpia, chicken adobo, sisig bangus, lechon kawali, and palabok. Unfortunately, they were out of the palabok and chicken adobo, so we subbed with the adobo pork and held off on another noodle. Garlic rice is a must, and it comes with each of the entrees for an additional $1. I was honestly really pleasantly surprised by each dish. The lumpia was super crispy & tasty, and I could snack on these all day long! 12 sounds like a lot until you start eating - I could finish a plate of these myself (I think). The sisig bangus came out sizzling, and it was so fragrant! Adding the lemon in gave it that extra acidity that tied the whole dish together so well. This was really delicious, and definitely a highlight for me. Lechon kawali and adobo pork were both good, but nothing to write home about. The adobo was a little saltier than I expected, and I almost wish it had just a little more vinegar. We decided to add on two more dishes after a while, because the 4 alone didn't seem to be quite enough. After looking through some yelp reviews, we decided on the bihon and the sisig pork. The bihon was quite large portion wise, and really tasty in my opinion. It looks like such a simple dish, but the flavors are well balanced. Sisig pork was one of my faves - I enjoyed this a bit more than the sisig bangus, because I loooove the extra flavor from the fat. The staff is really kind, and they were quite apologetic when they notified us that they were out of some items. Service was paced well - we never had to wait too long for any of our dishes. Prices are reasonable - total came out to $123 after tax and tip. Overall, worth a visit, and I'd come back! Highly recommend getting a sisig and lumpia!
I've been coming to Lahi pretty often since it's conveniently close to my apartment. One of the main reasons I keep returning is the great food selection -- there's always something satisfying to enjoy. The service is consistently good, and the overall ambience is pleasant and relaxed. It's not a high-end spot, so don't expect anything fancy, but if you're after great food in a casual setting, Lahi delivers.
Very happy with the amount of milkfish and veggies they gave in this soup their kare kare also tastes great from my memory
Small little place that serves authentic filipino food. My friend and I were craving filipino food so we made the drive to queens and we weren't disappointed! Everything came out sizzling hot and full of flavor. We ordered: - BBQ Pork or Chicken - Garlic Rice - Chicken Sisig Plate Definitely recommend coming here if you've never tried filipino food or you're just in the sudden mood for it!
Came here twice! Local Filipino restaurant in Elmhurst. They have a decent selection of food & a good amount of seating as well. - The first time I went, I got the Lechon Kawali and Pork Sisig Tacos. Yhe lechon was super fatty and flavorful and went well with the rice and sauce (4.5/5). The sisig tacos were good, I felt like there was too much flavors going on though but still super tasty (4/5). - The second time I went I got the Pork Sisig Hot Plate and Chicken Adobo. The pork was good but some parts were very tender which, over time, my jaws started to hurt from chewing (3.5/5). The chicken adobo took a while to come out as well. The flavor was good but I found the chicken to be a bit dry (3/5). Overall, this place is pretty good and the prices are not bad. I would come back to try the halo halo because they ran out of the ube ice cream when I went. The food is a bit greasy but tasty!
Food is well prepared. Their sisig are both good - either pork or the fish. They make excellent crispy pata. The crispy pork in dinuguan sauce (black like squid ink) is also very good. This is true Philippine home cooking! Not greasy read more

I was eager to show Filipino food to someone who had never had it. Had to definitely get lumpia pork and lechon kawali. We also had Sisig tacos, pork because the cashier-who was also the waiter- recommended pork. Maybe we overdid it with the pork but I felt like the food was filling- but so greasy. A tip would be to order some type of veggie entree too so items may not be "too much" since I know other dishes are also fried. I may give them another try and come back for pancit or halo halo. I should say the staff seemed really nice! Yet, similar to another Yelper, I felt like I left this place wanting more. I had introduced someone to Filipino food and hoped they liked it as much I did, but this experience didn't fulfill that. read more

Filipino food is my comfort food and this place does not dissapoint! The food is on point but the only thing is that the place is tiny and service needs to improve. I went there with my bf and luckily we got seated right away. Theirs 2 servers which I think is enough since its a tiny place. We ordered letchon kawali or deep fried pork. Pritong bangus or fried milk fish. Sinigang na baboy or pork sour soup. All of this dish is delicious! The fried milk fish is my favorite above all of this 3 dishes we ordered. Its boneless and crispy on the outside and taste so good with soysauce, chili and vinegar. I'm glad to have another Filipino food around my neighborhood and hopefully their service will be better. They're not rude or anything, its just that they don't really pay attention like when we just got there and we sat then we didn't get the menu so we just got it ourselves. I know theirs a lot more to improve and I'm gonna come back for sure to eat some yummy Filipino food and hoping that time to see more progress. read more
I'm a big fan of Filipino food and I've visited many restaurants in the Woodside neighborhood so when Lahi sign "Coming Soon" appeared I immediately set a date. We visited on a Saturday for lunch to catch their lunch special. I ready wanted to like this place but was disappointed as soon as we walked in. We were there at 2pm and the place was 3/4 empty but the management put us into a side table with a tiny table. Why? Maybe she is expecting a huge crowd at 2PM? We order two lunch specials: Sisilog- the sizzling pork was not sizzling and was very dry. Rated 2/5 Tapsilog- again the meat is so dry it was hard to chew. Rated 2/5 We also ordered addition dishes from the menu: Daing- the fish was good but I did not realized this missed given us three sides with this fish dish. I found out only after reviewing other photos posted by other reviewers. How did the kitchen, waiter, and manager missed this? Rated 2/5 Lumpia- was the only enjoyable dish we had. It was fresh and hot. Rated 4/5 We were ready disappointed by the quality of the dishes; especially when the owner/manager lady was right there over seeing the operations. I may return and try the other dishes; hopeful better experience. read more
Lahi is a new Filipino restaurant and probably the only Filipino restaurant located in Elmhurst! I'm pretty happy this joint opened because with so many Filipinos living in Elmhurst, I was surprised there hasn't been a Filipino restaurant. My boyfriend and I decided to come here for "brunch" on a Sunday because we were craving Filipino food and pretty much ate everywhere else in Elmhurst. Once we got there, we were surprised by how clean the entire place was. The restaurant itself is small but enough room to walk around and get to your table. We were greeted right away and seated right away and given our menu right away. My boyfriend got the sizsling and I got the dasilong? I think that's how you spell it. Anyways, my boyfriend's dish came out first and then about 3 minutes later my dish came out. It was so delicious looking and definitely FRESH AF! The food was piping hot and I quickly devoured it because I hate cold food. I really enjoyed the garlic rice compared to other Filipino restaurants I've been too. The price and the amount of food that was given is simply worth it. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and friendly and it really feels like I'm going to my mom's house for food. I definitely recommend coming here! read more
Oh my gosh. This restaurant was delicious. My friend and I were hesitant on going in at first because it was practically empty. Boy were we wrong. After being seated more and more people started coming in and there was even a wait time shortly after! Parking can be a bit difficult in the area but that's a given for queens Blvd. My friend and I ordered way too much. We ordered off the brunch menu (served until 2pm). I believe it was the dasilog (fried fish) and pork sisig. Wasn't a fan of the fried fish. It was missing sauce or flavor but the sisig was suuuuper flavorful. Sizzling and delicious! We also ordered this noodle dish and topped it off with lumpia. Way too much for 2 people but I'll definitely be returning for more. read more

I had food here when this place opened and it was okay so i decided to try it again today via food delivery app and it was utterly disappointing. I love to support filipino restaurants i love filipino food but the food that i ordered was inedible. this is what i ordered: Grilled Pork belly - burnt and inedible it's like straight charcoal i don't get how this gets sent out like who does quality control? I work in the food industry and restaurants aren't supposed to be sending out inedible food. Mike Bihon - Also inedible because it was swimming in soy sauce looked like they accidentally pour soy sauce in it. Crispy Dinuguan - nothing on this dish taste anything or closely resembles dinuguan and it's not even crispy. You can only taste the Lechon Kawali that came in large chunks that is not crispy at all. Dinuguan supposed to have vinegar on it but the sauce of this dish is BLAND as in you cannot taste anything, the only thing that you'll taste is the pork. I'd rather order lechon kawali atleast that is crispy. It was a disastrous experience for me. read more

This was my first time trying Filipino food, so I'm not sure if I still need time to get accustomed to it before I begin to appreciate it, or if Lahi just wasn't for me. A friend and I started by splitting the fried shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were huge and meaty, and perfectly fried. A light but sturdy batter that didn't flake. It came with a sweet spicy red sauce, like a cross between sweet chili sauce and Sriracha, but not quite like either. This was our favorite item. We split two entrees, the Sisig Baboy (crispy pork belly with onions on a sizzling hot plate) and the Kare Kare (oxtail, tripe, and vegetables in a peanut stew and shrimp paste). Each came with rice, we ordered one regular white and one garlic. My friend enjoyed the Sisig, saying it reminded him a bit of pernil. The pork is crispy to the point of being gummy sometimes, sticking to my teeth. There was also a bitterness to the dish that I didn't care for. The onions and the lemon wedge helped cut through that a bit, but I wouldn't order this again. Neither of us cared for the Kare Kare. It's a truly huge portion and we had an entire takeout container of it left. I really enjoyed the tripe, it had such a unique texture, almost spongy, my tongue able to trace each crevice, and it soaked up the stew. But the oxtail was just alright, not as rich or tender as I like it. The shrimp paste (I'm not positive this is what it was, it smelled like some type of seafood paste) came on the side but didn't seem to add much to the dish. The peanut smelled strong but tasted mild. It was hearty food and generously portioned. The restaurant is small and when the sun sets it hits their big windows directly, causing them to draw the shades until it's less piercing. Music was top 40. They brought out one entree before we were done with our appetizer and tried to clear plates away before we were ready, then the other entree didn't come out for another 10 minutes. I'd come back but I'd like to try other Filipino restaurants first. read more

We had a great experience dining here! Outdoor seating felt safe - we sat by a window so there was still air flow. Service was friendly and fast. Restaurant was clean and felt safe to eat in. We ordered the lumpia for appetizer. It was pretty good, although i feel like it could have been a bit more flavorful (but i had been craving lumpia for a while so i didn't really care haha it did it's job). For the main course we ordered the pork sisig and escabeche tilapia (both come with a serving of rice). The sisig was sizzling (great for an insta boomerang might i add lol) and tasted great. I really enjoyed the escabeche, though I think the sauce could have had more flavor to it (or maybe I'm just comparing too much to my mom's cooking) but still very good. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would go back! read more

My coworkers and I decided to grab lunch to go from here. Upon picking up food, the place was 3/4 empty, and this was around 1 p.m. on a weekday. Most of us ordered from the entree menu, with one of us ordering from the Brunch menu. A few of us ordered the pork belly with rice, including me. I was starving by the time the lunch hour came around, and I dug right into it. Much my dismay, my entire pork belly portion was burnt, and had a VERY strong burnt carbon taste to it. Not just a little singed, but it was charred on the bottom. Half of it was not edible. Interestingly, the burnt pieces were turned to the bottom of the pan, so from the pictures I took, they just look like regularly grilled pieces. Also, the protein-to-rice ratio was disproportionate. There was a lot of rice compared to the small amount of pork belly, and then only a teaspoon worth of pickled veggies. The entire lunch was quite disappointing. On the other hand, another co-worker of mine got the tapsilog beef brunch special. His came with two fried eggs, garlic rice, pickled vegetables, and grilled beef. He told me that his dish was not only appetizing, but filling as well. I'd like to give this place another try, especially for the brunch special. Now if only they delivered... =( I had high expectations for this place, which is why it hurts me to write a review giving them less than 3 stars. read more

This place was so cute! I have been dying to try a Filipino restaurant and I am so glad I came here. I had the lumpia pork and then the inihaw na manok. The sauce compliments the lumpia so much that I told my friend to try it and after she put it on her noodles, haha. I wish they gave a bit more rice with the chicken but everything was amazing. I will definitely come back, thank you so much for the great food & service! read more
Was craving Filipino food and found this spot out of the blue. Their lumpia was pretty good decent, but their most impressive dish was the lechon kawali. It was fried to perfection and very crunchy. Their garlic rice was very good too. We also got their kare kare. It was very flavorful and tasty, but isn't worth the price it's listed at. Definitely would recommend getting their sunny side egg for any rice dishes. I saw some customers eating their halo halo and it looked really satisfying, but didn't get a chance to have it because we had so much to eat. Will definitely come back for it one day! read more

I've had Lahi bookmarked on my yelp for a while because I love trying new restaurants in the Elmhurst area. Lahi has been around for a while and I finally had time to stop by. I ordered their BBQ pork skewers and their fried banana dessert. The prices are pretty good and the portions were much larger than I thought it was. I basically ordered a whole meal for myself. I thought ordering skewers would be a small appetizer like at Thai restaurants but these skewers came with huge chunks of meat and a big portion of rice. I loved that it came with rice because it paired great when eating the pork. The dessert was also a great way to wrap everything up. If you're ever in a sweets mood I would say just stop by here and pick up their fried bananas. The service was pretty quick and the people who worked there were really helpful. They have a lot of other option as well that I'd like to try when I come back. There's a good amount of seats in the area and finding parking in the area isn't difficult. read more
Exactly one year today I visited this local Filipino restaurant. Actually a few months prior I met the team at the Queens International Night Market where I had their delicious sisig tacos. When I visited the restaurant I was greeted by the owner and the family who were very nice and grateful. I saw the sisig tacos on the menu which cost more than what I paid for at the Queens International Night Market, however, the portion size were much bigger. Meanwhile I tried the lechon kawali which was beautifully presented. The portion size was acceptable for the price paid and I took the leftovers home. I have had better lechon but the sauces and condiments were good. I hope to come back in about a month for the sisig tacos. read more

There was two empty four-tops at 2 pm. We asked for a four-top and insisted we take a two-top. Okay. Fine. We ordered food and the waiter realized the food we ordered will not fit on a two-top. We had to move to another table anyways that is larger. There is no way to fit 3 entrees, an appetizer, two glasses of water, utensils, etc onto a little table. We already knew that. Listen to your customer. There was two empty larger tables! The food is the important part so I ignored everything else. We ordered the Sisilog described on the menu as pork sisig in "sizzling" hot plate. It wasn't sizzling. It was good though. It was the best entree we had during this meal. Egg was perfectly runny. Tapsilog described as pan fried beef top round marinated in garlic vinegar and spiced. They forgot to say on the menu that it will be cooked until it is dry as heck. It was so dry, I could not eat it. My BF doesn't believe in waste so he ate the beef and called it beef jerky. The egg also was cooked until it was hard. I like my yolk runny. Daing is described as fried marinated boneless milkfish topped with crispy garlic...there was no crispy garlic though. That is neither here or there..the fish was fried until there was no moisture left. I have had Filipino food several times and I came to the conclusion after today that it's not for me. I am under the impression that they like to cook their meat until it is dry as heck...until there is no moisture left. Shanghai Lumpia (fried pork spring rolls) was fresh, hot, crunch but teeny weeny. I've had better from a friend's mom. Maybe it's just not for me. Other seem to like it so I would not go by my review. It is just a preference thing maybe. read more

So glad to find another Filipino restaurant in the neighborhood. This place is tiny but service is very good and food was very prompt. We ordered the sisig chicken tacos, tapsilog, tocilog, turon and Halo Halo. My favorite from the whole meal were the sisig tacos. So tasty and flavorful. It's no wonder they are known for it. The tapsilog and tocilog were okay. The tocino meat was abit too fatty and the atchara needed more salt. The turon was good and slighty different in that it was banana paste rather than banana pieces. The Halo Halo was huge and really good. Next time I come back I will try more items in the menu. read more

Came here because of the sisig baboy and was also craving for sinigang. My experience here was not completely bad but I left feeling more. Pork sinigang 3.5/5 - the soup was good. Full of flavor and I like how strong the tamarind was. But the pork pieces was so fatty and flavorless to the point that after one piece I didn't touch the rest. The garlic rice that came with it has a nice subtle flavor of garlic - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Bihon pancit 2/5 - this was a complete disappointment! Had it better somewhere else. The flavor was a little off and I felt like the noodle was a little too soggy for my taste. After a few bites, I couldn't finish it. two stars because the portion was humongous - I thought it would be a small portion judging from the other two dishes that I ordered. Sisig baboy 4/5 - this truly DID NOT DISAPPOINT! the flavor was on point and I like how crunchy the pork was and even the fatty part. But, the amount of oiliness was a little too aggressive for me - I understand it is sizzling dish but like DAMN. Overall, the food here wasn't bad but the reason I only gave 3 stars was because of the service. I felt like the moment I entered the resto to the moment I leave i wasn't welcome at all (maybe because we looked high schooler). They didn't seem like they were interested in serving us and one of the server was slightly annoyed when I asked her if my rice was garlic rice or plain white rice because I ordered garlic rice but they ended up giving me 2 white rice. But, in the end they did give me garlic rice but I was a little bummed because of that one server. read more

I have been coming here more often lately because I found a new dish that I am obsessed with, it is their Sisig Bangus (sizzling milkfish, $14.95), with rice. My husband and I love this fragrant, and filling fish dish, and always pay extra to substitute the white rice with garlic rice (no-brainer). I could probably have this once a week, or more. I normally don't order whole fish dishes because I don't like picking and digging and working for my food, so the fact that this fish is filleted (boneless), and diced with the red onions, bell peppers and other ingredients, is truly perfect for me. The serving size is just right for the two of us, and we usually order another item as well, but it varies from either going with an appetizer, or an entrée, depending on how hungry we are at the time. Their veggie dish with the shrimp paste is excellent (forgot the name of it, but of the 3-4 veggie dishes they have on the menu, that one is the only one without coconut milk, which makes it lighter). Service is always consistent and wonderful every time we go, and the food comes out pretty quickly, which is great! On the downside, still no Pancit Palabok which makes me very sad. (Lahi if you catch wind of my updated review here, please consider adding this to your menu. It's my favorite Filipino dish of all time, or, maybe second now that I have found your absolutely banging Sisig Bangus)!! read more

We came across Lahi near the end of our visit to the Queens International Night Market, so we only had enough room for one snack. So many things looked good, but we ultimately decided on the sisig tacos, which they offered in pork and chicken. It may not be the most traditional thing, but I love sisig tacos and order them whenever I see them. These were a good version of them, and I would get them again. Hopefully they will be back at the market in the future. read more

Got the BBQ pork skewers: first bite was awesome, with crisp crackling fat, tender meat. After that, though, the glaze started to taste too sweet and salty, and the meat on my 2nd skewer was a little tough and chewy. Not bad overall, just not mindblowing. Service was friendly, and I'd be willing to go back to try something different because the fish dishes looked really good. Full of flavor. All Delicious. Sisig is without egg (but I'm sure you can ask to add), not as oily as other sisig. Outdoor seating available. Street Parking available. Overall happy I found and tried this Fil spot. My first time here but I will visit again. read more
