Came to visit New York and the food here was something out of this world 10/10 stop by and check it out !

    Bandeja paisa & Colombiana = $18.50

With the Bandeja Paisa you get grilled steak, pork rind, sausage, over easy fried egg, plaintain, corn cake, avocado, and rice & beans. The pork rind isnt as hard as the other places Ive had, which for me is a plus. Grilled steak was tender, but a bit bland. And the sausage was plesantly spiced. My favorite part was that the avocado was packed seperately so its not weirdly hot and gets mushed onto everything that would be tomorrows lunch. The only negative is lack of a salsa, and in general a bit undersalted but honestly, still great.

This is a lunch special that comes with potato salad, rice, beans, fried plantain, and soda!

This place is the best Colombian restaurant in the area! The decoration is so lovely you kind of feel as if you are in Colombia while eating here! The food here is fantastic at all times of the day! You can come here in the morning for some amazing Colombian breakfast, come in the afternoon for some great lunch specials, or come anytime for typical Colombian dishes, such as la Bandeja Paisa! The best part is you can come in anytime for a wide range of snacks! You could get empanadas, Colombian bread, Flan, Arroz con leche, Colombian candy, and so much more!

Desayuno Marinillos... so much food... took some for lunch!

Horrible food, horrible customer service . Very long waiting time for small items. Take your money and run for the hills.

Noches de Colombia is actually a chain with several locations in the tri-state area. I recently ate…read moreat the Queens location. Their locations are not fancy and are the Colombian equivalent of American diners. This means a big menu with a bakery section too. While there are better Colombian places out there, I found this place to be decent. For example, the portion size of their Bandeja Paisa was huge and everything tasted fresh. The pastries (bunuelos and pan de bono) were also good quality and fresh. If you're looking for a Colombian place to take the family that serves everything, Noches de Colombia fits the bill.

We were given an iPad each (to view the menu). When we asked for water they did not provide tapwater even though we asked for it and gave us a bottled water instead (that we had to pay for). After ordering the food it took approximately 30 minutes to arrive. The service was pretty slow. I ordered the carne asada with a side of frijoles since it only comes with white rice, sweet plantains and a potato. The meat itself was really hard to eat. It was very chewy and rough, not a good representation of Carne Asada. The white rice was just plain white rice. The potato had no seasoning on it, and the sweet plantains were super dry, which made them nasty and I couldn't even eat them. The beans had very little flavor or depth compared to other Colombian restaurants. There was no smoky or meat like savoriness, and it only had a very minimal hint of the usual aromatics. It also had a bit of a canned bean hint to it. Not very pleasant. Compared to other Colombian places I've had I would not come back to this place.

I'm not going to pretend that I am the best person to determine what an authentic Colombian experience is (never had the pleasure of visiting Colombia), but if this isn't it, I can't imagine what they're missing. The staff speaks to you in Spanish exclusively, which made me glad one of my boys is Honduran. The TVs all over the place are playing what appear to be Colombian music videos that were made in the 80s featuring old men and attractive young women. They've got buckets of Colombian beer and frosted mugs so cold that the beer turned to slush around the sides. They've got a platter called the Bandeja la Berraca that consists of rice, beans, steak, plantains, eggs, avocado salad, little corn cakes, blood sausage, other sausage (amazing), and a giant side of chicharron. Eat and drink to you're bursting, while adorable Colombian kids run around the place. And rejoice that you live in NYC, where these things can be had.
