We had the lumpiang Shanghai, chicken barbecue, pancit Canton, and a vegetable dish in coconut sauce. Everything came out fairly quickly and was flavorful and well prepared. I'd definitely come back for the food. Service was the weak point. Our order was taken right away, but our drinks were forgotten and no one checked on us again until we were basically finished. At one point, a street vendor even wandered into the restaurant and approached tables trying to sell baseball caps without any apparent response from the front of the house. The restaurant looks like it probably gets much livelier later in the evening. They were set up for music and advertise live performances, so 5 PM may simply have been too early to experience the place at its best. Overall, excellent Filipino food with service that could use some attention. I'd return, probably later in the evening next time.

The place has changed a bit, slightly different decor from the last time we were there. The atmosphere was more "bakya" than Kabayan (from across the street). Still nice. They kept the bar, which is good. The staff was friendly, but kind of rushed us to get our orders before the show started. They explained it would have been more difficult to take orders later. The food was really, really good. All the flavors were on point. For the appetizer, we had some Crispy Chicken Skins. It was nice and crispy, but it needed some more salt. We had the Port Belly Kare-Kare, Beef Salpicao, the Pancit Palabok, Laing and Gambas. The one that stole the show was the Bagnet. That was mind blowing! Very flavorful and I highly recommend it. Dare I say that the food was better than Kabayan. The Key Of C band rocked the whole night through. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the great music. It was such a fun-filled night. Definitely worth coming back to whether it's for the food or the music.

I highly recommend getting them with a side of rice if you need a quick meal. The sisig was not my favorite item - I found the dish to be a bit too fatty, but it was well seasoned. Unfortunately, the tocino was a bit dry. As expected, the lechon kawali and longanisa were absolutely banging, so I would highly recommend getting them! In terms of drinks - my friend thought their sago was way too sweet. The halo halo was good, but the ice is on the chunkier side. Overall, it's a pretty good spot if you are craving Filipino food.

Famous for its charcoal-grilled skewers and communal Kamayan platters, the restaurant delivers an authentic, down-to-earth dining experience. The sweet-and-savory grilled pork and chicken skewers are undisputed crowd-pleasers. They are caramelized to perfection and pair beautifully with garlic rice. The restaurant offers multi-person platters served on banana leaves. It's a great, interactive way for groups to try a variety of meats and seafood. Beyond the grill, fans frequently praise the crispy pata (fried pork knuckle), lumpia(spring rolls), and kare-kare (oxtail in peanut sauce). Widely considered one of the most reasonably priced spots for quality Filipino cuisine in the borough. The dining room is located on the second floor. It has a lively, casual atmosphere that often features loud music. While many diners highlight the friendly and humorous service, online reviews show mixed opinions about customer service, with some visitors citing occasional long wait times or abrupt interactions at the takeout counter. Still, it is a pleasant place to have a meal when opting for Filipino food.

Every so often, I crave their Sizzling Sisig and beef Bulalo. Those are basically our go-to orders, including the Ukoy and Crispy Pata. If someone wanted to try Filipino food for the first time, I would 100 percent direct them here. I've tried most of their menu, and they're all solid choices. My only wish is that they opened later! 8pm is such an early closing time, but I understand that the staff work long and hard hours all day long. The service is usually on the slower side, but I can tell they are moving as fast as they can to serve the orders. What separates Tito Rad's from the rest of the Filipino restaurants in the area are their decently priced menu items and consistent food quality. Their dining room is nice and clean, and I especially love their private room in the back with the skylight. Last time I checked, there is no additional charge to reserve the back room for a private event! Super convenient and inexpensive option if looking to host a party.

If you go with a party of 4, I highly recommend sharing the BBQ Meats sampler, the fried sampler, and some rice on the side. That said, I will absolutely be back next time I am craving Filipino food.

Amazing Filipino restaurant in NYC…read more I am visiting from out of town and I did see the video of Jordan Clarkson going over his favorite restaurants in NYC, so this was from his list. I loved it. The restaurant is located in Little Manila in NYC, so the vibes are already very Filipino which I love. This restaurant is very authentic Filipino, being in here felt like I was in the Philippines again. Everyone working here is so friendly and remind me of the Tito's and Tita's that would take care of you at the Filipino parties. I'm obviously biased being Filipino but I can say that the food was great and very well priced. The amount of food we got for what we ordered definitely had us bringing leftovers. I highly recommend the BBQ Sampler, it was only $30 and even that alone was enough to feed a family. There were so many things I wanted to try. If I lived in NYC I would probably be here too often. Anyone with kids know with a young child, things can get dicey. You won't know at any moments time when you need to stop, drop, and roll. My girl was pretty calm and great the whole time, didn't expect anything less, but as usual, Kora was CROWDED. I felt hopeless about getting a table and I cannot compete with the adults with no kids, but I decided to take a chance. I got 2 pastries and a drink to sit and enjoy. After I paid, I look behind me, and of course, no seats. But then the employee who was also the door person/greeter, saw my distress, heard my concern, and then helped me get a table outside. I expressed my concern that I wouldn't be able to hear my name for my drink, and I cannot leave my daughter outside. She insisted that she would service my table. The employee got me my drink, napkins, utensils, and told me if I needed anything else, just ask her. It's the service like this that makes me feel not limited whenever I want to go to Kora, and I am very inclined to go back when I am solo parenting.

I wouldn't recommend their matcha as it's pretty watered down, but their coffee is solid! There's a lot of seating inside and it's a pretty open space if you want to just chill. I'm giving this 3/5 stars solely because we did not have a good customer experience this time around. I didn't get their name, but the person helping us out with grabbing our pastries was pretty rude and not very helpful. We ordered two chocolate chip cookies to go and asked of we can have them in separate bags since my friend and I don't live together and we were taking them to go. He responds with "you know it's easier to carry in just one box right?" to which we explained our situation. He finally grabs two separate bags, puts the cookies in, then says "here's your two bags, enjoy" in a rude tone while giving us a smug look. My other friend came and asked for a to-go box since she ordered 3 pastries and definitely wasn't going to finish them all in one sitting. He refused to give her a to go box since he said "she's eating for here" when she clearly told him that she won't be finishing all in store and will be taking most of it to-go. After we finished dining in, she had to get back in line just to ask for a to go box since he wouldn't give her one originally. Overall, would come back for any seasonal pastries they may have, but hesitant because of the unpleasant service we received.

I was amazed with the massive portions, incredibly tender pork BBQ, and rich Kare-Kare. Despite the unassuming exterior and small four-table dining room, it offers excellent value. No questions about the authenticity of traditional plates. Diners like me love the Bulalo (beef marrow stew), crispy pata, and the tender barbecued pork. The Halo-Halo and okoy also get high marks for texture and flavor. While the flavor is spot-on, on-the-ground diner consensus on the dining room is extremely cozy (fitting only a few tables), so wait times can climb during peak hours. The menu occasionally features unexpected ingredient variations--for example, costumers agree that the Tinolang Tahong (mussels) leans closer to a ginger-heavy broth rather than being sautéed, adding a pleasant home-cooked twist. Recommendable!!

They are famous for their flan cake mix. The ones in the cooler were just alright. The flan was more of a custard texture (away from jiggly jello) which was good. However, the bottom cake layers had subtle flavors and were a bit stale. The flan tastes better when its fresh and not refrigerated though. Compared to other customer's pictures, I think the issue was that there was not much caramel sauce on the plate. there was not much liquid on the bottom of the plate so the cakes did not look moist for most of our flans. The halo halo was a bit small in size for $12 (jar is similar to a overnight oats serving size). ive seen other places price it at $8-10 for that size.
