The service was horrible the entire night. We ordered some boneless wings and the Goetta Fries which were Luke warm when we received them. Despite the place not being busy it took about 35-40 minutes to get our food. After our table was cleared by our waiter it took 30 minutes to get the check so we could leave. The building's look gave me high hopes but those were quickly dashed. First of all, the appearance of the restaurant is awesome. The fireman theme is really fun and the restaurant is spacious with a fantastic patio. The menu boasts a variety of foods and many that are compatible with my food allergies. They even have a wheel you can spin and when you spin said wheel, it lands on a shot that you can drink for $5, or so they say...when my boyfriend spun the wheel, our bill reflected that the shot was actually almost $7 so be aware. Our service was the worst I have had in a long time. The drinks came out fast but we waited over 30 minutes for our food and when it was brought out, my boyfriend ordered the quesadilla but instead was brought a flat bread. He ended up eating it because we were so tight on time but he couldn't finish it because it was so gross. I asked for my meal to come with sauce on the side because of my food allergies but that request wasn't observed either :-( no one brought us silverware or napkins so my boyfriend went behind the bar and got them for us and our waitress and the bartender watched him and seemed relieved to not have to put on the extra effort. I don't eat in the university area often but I certainly won't make it a habit of eating here! The happy hour prices were good but the rest of the experience was so sour that I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

We went here after hang over was closed for maintenance. It looks like a nice place and it has really nice atmosphere. We were greeted when we entered and were told to seat ourselves. We sit in the front and we waited at least at 5 mins before anyone came around with menus and for drinks. A waiter walked past a few times in that span and never said anything to us, no "sorry for you wait", or "I'll be right there" sort of thing. Once we got our drinks it was fine. I ordered the grilled cheese option and my partner ordered fish and chips. We waited a really long time for a food despite the place not being particularly busy at all. It must have been 30-40 mins at the least. When we did get our food, my grilled cheese had tomato inside of it despite the menu saying nothing about the inclusion. So when I said "I'm sorry but I didn't know this had tomato" our waiters response was "oh yeah. It does." Like I couldn't see it right in front of me. I stated I didn't like tomato and they mumbled they could ask the kitchen how long a new one would take, then stated more prominently that they could just give me a fork to pick it out myself. I asked him to just ask the kitchen. The second grilled cheese came out fairly quickly and was really really good!! It just sucks it took so long with no apology or update and it had to be sent back. FYI if there is an event at Bogart's, they only have a "game day menu". Which consists of five things, all overpriced for what you get. The chicken salad was a half and blah. Goetta Bacon Fries, eh. The service was incredibly slow, and they were not packed. Esp before a concert with a half menu. Last, I'm not big on beer, but my BF is and he totally passed up the $2 off craft draft, because the selection was so terrible. I've been to Ladder a couple times and it always very wild. There is no cover here. It gets pretty busy and packed on the weekends. EXPECT the typical college crowd here. I don't mind it but some may. It's not too hard to get a drink here. I remember getting this huge drink in a white styrofoam cup (can't remember the name) but it was tough to finish. A great lunch at Ladder 19. I had Chef Terri's Artichoke Salad. $10. Fabulous! But too large - I should have ordered a half salad. The good news is I'll have the leftovers for lunch tomorrow and that makes my meal only $5 plus $2 for coffee, plus tax, tip. The others in my party had sandwiches - all looked good. My first time here was for brunch one Sunday with a group of friends. Got seated immediately, staff was friendly, and the food was great! I split a captains skillet and pancake dippers with a friend, both delicious. My only complaint was that halfway through our meal the umbrella at our table flew out from the wind and almost hit my friend and knocked a bunch of our glassware over. Staff was apologetic but didn't seem to care about their umbrella's not being secure enough. The next time I came here to get brunch to go for my ride back home. I ordered a skillet which was supposed to have goetta, bacon, spinach, onions, cheese etc. When I arrived my food was just sitting out getting cold. I asked for plastic silverware and they looked at me like I had three heads. They told me they didn't have any plasticware. I don't know how you're going to offer a pick up service and have no to go silverware. I got back to my car and when I opened up the box I got a heaping pile of cold breakfast potatoes, no gotta, no bacon, nothing but some potatoes and cheese. Plus the proportion size was half of what you get when you actually dine in. Very disappointing. I would eat here again but if I want food to go I'm going to Hangover Easy. read more

We came here for Sunday brunch and were not impressed. Everything was just ok. Not terrible, but not amazing. We both ordered "skillets", which were not actually served or cooked in skillets. House made fried potato chips with meat, veggies and an egg on top. They just weren't really cohesive like skillets normally are. Also, they are not customizable. Thankfully it was on the inexpensive side and the building is really nice. We probably will not return though. read more

The food here is great. I've been to their Sunday brunch a few times now. The skillets are well thought out and very flavorful. The house salad with chicken I had last time was amazing. I have noticed that the staff here are not very attentive. I had bottomless mimosas one Sunday and I was only able to get 2 drinks over 1 hour, kind of a rip. Ladder 19 is pretty awesome. I stopped by with the girlfriend on a Saturday early afternoon, which to our surprise was during their brunch time, which was was kind of insane. Tons of college bros trying to get drunk before 12. They have a great brunch deal that included one breakfast menu item and bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary's. We weren't in the mood for breakfast, so we ended up getting other drinks and lunch food. The brunch menu is extremely limited, but we went with honey sriracha wings and the bacon goetta cheese fries. Both are delicious. The honey sriracha wings were sweet at first, but then super hot after a few. The fries were crispy. and there was a lot of bacon and goetta. The cheese and ranch was lacking though. The worst part was the portion size for $7.50 was kind of ridiculous. The service was a bit slow, but thats because it was so busy and they were understaffed. We sat at the bar and witnessed the craziness, but our bartender was awesome and handled everything well. We plan on going back for dinner to try the full menu which sounds really good. Definitely a cool place to check out, but just beware of drunk college kids. read more

After looking at Ladder 19's menu, it seemed this would be a great option. To our dismay, the regular menu is replaced by a "brunch" menu on Saturdays. My friends and I found this place via Yelp when we were looking for a fun boozy delicious brunch and were visiting for the Bunbury Festival. Ladder 19 did not disappoint! From the second you walk in, the decor in this place catches your eye. The space itself was once a former firehouse station and every nook and cranny of the restaurant is absolutely seeping with character (or should I say hook and cranny?) Ladder 19 also takes your breath away by having a large patio space where you can sit down with friends, sip on unlimited mimosas or bloody Mary's while enjoying the sunshine! The brunch deal runs from 11am to 3 pm, which is amazing in itself, and for nineteen dollars (yes, just 19!) you get a brunch entree and as many mimosas and/or bloody's that your heart can desire. Christa was our server and she was positively amazing. She never failed to refill our pitchers at the table, many times without us even mentioning that they were running low, and didn't rush us while we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals and had nothing but compliments. I had the Southwest Skillet and it was the perfect match for my many mimosas. It was absolutely delicious (a little spicy--- but hey, it's ) and a huge portion. My friends and I left a few hours after we got there feeling completely satiated and undeniably saucy. If you're in a group and want to make the most out of a Sunday Funday, don't hesitate. Only thing I may suggest is bringing a card game or playing cards, as they did not have any behind the bar. Hosted a surprise party for my boyfriend here for New Year's Eve. The owner was super accommodating and very flexible. The party was located in front area closest to the front patio, which was great due to the guests being able to order drinks directly from the bar! We had pulled chicken bbq, sliders, and Saratoga chips. There was more than enough food and my guests were raving about how delicious everything was the whole night! They also offered champagne after the ball dropped which was a great touch. We can't wait to go back to try their white chicken chili! read more

I've been to this place multiple times and normally between 11pm and closing time. I didn't order food but I did order drinks. Bartender was friendly , however the bar wasn't cleaned off and had spilled drinks on the countertop. Two of the times that I've been there , customers have spilled drinks on tables and the dance floor and no one cleaned it up. I could understand if they were super busy but the place is hardly ever packed. In general: this place is a nice venue, but not kept up. read more

Used to be Zino's and is in an old firehouse. We went for lunch on a Wednesday and were seated and accommodated right away. Only open a year now. We both had a cup of white bean chicken soup. It had a tinge of spice and was excellent - loaded with shredded chicken - the best I've ever had. I had a chicken sandwich for lunch with Code 1 hot sauce on the side. The chicken was tender and tasty. The sauce was perfect. Our waitress was very nice and attentive - as well as fast. Prices were fine. Suffice it to say it was a great experience for us. My wife, kids, parents and I (who are from California) visited here after we went to the Zoo. We came on a Thursday evening. The waiter was pretty nice. Even the owner came over and talked to us. She was really nice. The food was delicious. Its not a kid friendly place but we understood its by a college. We loved the decorations of the restaurant. It was a pleasant visit. We will definitely visit the next time we visit Ohio. read more
