I would give this place zero if I could. Was their tonight with my family. We ALL ordered our dinners. Their was 4 in my party. We received our dinner's, mine was a well done steak with onions and peppers. My steak was still very red and peppers and onions were crunchy and not cooked completely. I had the waitress take it back to have it finished properly. My entire family ate all their food while I sat and watched them eat there dinner's patiently waiting for my food to be returned. NEVER was it returned. We finally gave up on my food and started getting up to get our coats on to pay and leave. I asked the waitress to just take the steak off our bill. She then returned with the steak in a to go box and said the kitchen staff said I am not allowed to leave without paying for the steak!! The steak that I didn't get to eat?! I didn't get to eat dinner with my family. I had to pay for a steak that I did not get to eat!!! If my kids were home you better believe I would have left and not paid for the steak that I did not get the chance to eat. We WILL NEVER EVER go back to this steakhouse again. What a fun place to have a beer and some great bar food. While visiting friends in Oxford, their elderly father wanted to go to Big Buls as it's his favorite place. How can you go wrong with $1 Busch Light on a Monday night? We were a party of 15 and the food was served in a pretty timely manner. I had a chicken Philly sandwich on a hoagie roll w/fries. There was so much chicken that I skipped the roll so I could enjoy the rest. Had a side Caesar which was also good. Some other plates on our table were ribs, salmon, pulled pork and burgers. First time here and there was a fundraiser going on in the back and no parking. We found a spot and thought there was going to be a wait. There wasn't which was good and were seated right away. We started off with the Bavarian pretzel sticks. Since they used a German name for the pretzels one would think it would be bier cheese. Nope, it was spicy queso sauce but they were good. They deep fry the pretzels since they were a little greasy but it wasn't dry. I had the double black and blue burger. It was bigger than I thought. It was a bit dry with the Cajun seasonings and bleu cheese. The patties seem to be premade by the perfect roundness but I could be wrong if they use a burger press but the meat didn't have much taste. My wife had the loaded Italian cowboy. She said it was good and a nice size sandwich. It seems the meat didn't go to the ends as there was a good amount of bread only on each end but had a taste with the dressing and seasoning. She said the Saratoga chips were good. She needed to get a side of bbq sauce which I was surprised that didn't come with it as they would have been dry. Big Buls is a good example of the West Side Cincinnati area family friendly bar and restaurant. Like its many cousins, Big Buls is a place to have a beer or two with dinner-and the kids, grandma, heck even the in laws will feel welcome. They have a large patio area that was hosting some sort of public party (I bet it was a cornhole tournament) when we visited. But Big Buls still had plenty of seating inside for my daughter, my wife, and myself. Our waitress was amazing! She was attentive to everyone in there, checked with the chef on the spice level of my daughter's bean burger (and that was very nice- a real vegetarian option in a local eatery in a scene not noted for its vegetarian options), and made us feel right at home. The food was ok. Nothing special we found- my wife said the steak she had was cooked properly but had no seasoning (an A-1 steak sauce steak) and my hoagie was an ok hoagie. However, the prices reflected the fare. Everything was very reasonably priced (now don't you go saying I remember when a burger cost 99 cents and everything nowadays beyond that is overpriced. I am happy to have a meal at a sit down restaurant with quality table service at the $20-$25 a plate price range.) with our meals averaging about $15. Good value. The inside had a whole array of TVs with sports on, and the establishment had the volume at the perfect level for both entertainment and table conversations. Honestly subpar food. If you want to pay extremely over priced money for subpar food and drinks this is your place to go. Service is extremely terrible. The only time I've received good service was from the little Mexican(I forgot her name). She's really the only hope this place has. Also you'll never see the owner here unless she's sloppy drunk with her friends. I've never seen them actually work nor helping the extremely, already overworked staff. I've came on several busy nights because my friends tend to stroll here, but we've decided to take business elsewhere. read more

Big Buls was hopping on a Friday night. Big tables inside and out make room for large groups, sports teams and the like. Food was good starting with potato skins and salads. Sandwiches were HUGE so we got to bring home lunch for the weekend! The live music started out back at 9pm. They have both local bands (Middle Age Man Band, hint hint) as well as national acts like Scotty McQuery here in May 2018. The stage was nice with covering for the weather, but as it warms up the screens open to a huge back patio and even bigger fire pit! Check it out! read more

Our family visited here during an event. While we normally have good interactions with Big Buls staff, we were disappointed this time. Food and drinks were slow to arrive, our server very rarely checked on our party, and our server was rude several times throughout the night. Perhaps we caught the wrong server on the wrong day, but we hope service improves so we can return soon. On a different token, the food was good once it did arrive. The owners of the restaurant float around throughout the night, which is very nice so that if there is a problem it can be addressed quickly and efficiently. read more

Got in an accident here. Drunk guy hit my car while I was inside. Called the police and the servers got mad at me for it. It was overcooked, dry and tasteless; as if the meat was boiled then put on a grill, those that are military veterans that have deployed will know what this tastes like and it's not good. My boyfriend and I just stood there at the front door for about 5 mins and none of the employees acknowledged us. I had to ask the bartender if we should seat ourselves. We ordered the chili cheese fries for an appetizer which was very good. My boyfriend ordered the Philly cheesesteak. It was a very dry sandwich that was mostly bread. I ordered the ribs with green beans and onion rings. The green beans were super gross. The server wasn't surprised that I didn't like them so they must get that complaint a lot. She brought me a side of rice- bland and boring. Onion rings were great! Good mix of crunchy outer shell and flavorful inside. The ribs were a really great choice. Food is great if you can actually get a server to your table. Be ready to wait about thirty minutes for your order to arrive at the table. Serving staff is so bad it's actually easier to get up and order from the bar. If you have a bucket of beer, count on there being about three ice cubes in it. Don't count on a server to come and ask if you want a refill though. The only reason this place is worthy of stars is due to the quality of the food and the atmosphere/crowd. Good people, pretty good concerts, volleyball nights are loads of fun. Service was better when this place was still The Farm. read more

These guys really know that they are the only restaurant for a few miles because of there is a larger beer selection than menu items. The patio and stage are nice out back, however if the worst type of people did not hang out there then it would be a lot better.
