It's a big open-space studio with a professional trampoline, parkour area with a warped wall, pole area, high rigging area, and large open mat floor space for aerial, flex, acro, tumbling, and more. There are so many classes to choose from, even some during the day on weekdays. They have a great new student class pack special and many options for monthly memberships or just class packs to take classes ad hoc. SOOOOO much fun!!! I took the beginner aerial class and I had a blast. I must admit once we actually started working with the silks that I was deeply afraid of falling but the instructor and the rest of the class were so encouraging and patient as I worked through the moves. It's a great full body workout and is definitely something that you will feel the next day. Definitely something I would try again! I've now done three beginner classes: pole dance, aerial silks, and aerial sling. The people here are suuuuper nice and supportive. I love that the intro classes really don't require you to have any experience, you don't need to be super strong to start (you'll get strong as you do more), and can have any body type. They have a great new members deal at the moment of $45 for any three classes. There are so many fun options to explore. I also love that their weekend classes also are placed well for open gym hours. After my silks class, I stayed to practice for an extra hour because I was determined to nail what had been taught in the class. read more

It's always tough to move to a new studio, but Laché made my transition so easy and were welcoming at every step of the way. Their instruction is wonderful, they made it easy to assess my skill level for starting classes, and the culture there is friendly, warm, and prioritizes safety for students (kids and adults). I love going to my lyra classes here and look forward to exploring more apparatuses like pole or trapeze. Only con: I wish there were higher ceilings for aerial silks. I tried practicing during open gym time and it was quite difficult due to the length of my silks and it felt very limiting in terms of what I could safely practice as a level three, used to doing more drops/compound movements. Maybe I'm just used to having a lot of space/height, but I didn't enjoy practicing because of how limited the height was. In the meantime, I'll keep LOVING my lyra classes and maybe try some new classes in the future. Plus, it's fairly affordable *especially* compared to other studios in Austin. I love it here and really recommend their classes for aerial or cirque lovers at any level! They also offer workshops for various skills (like handstands, flexibility, etc.) and I love the variety. I've been here a handful of times and I am impressed. It's nothing like anything I've ever been to. They manage to make it feel very much like a community since it is very open and welcoming. I will say though, that this is no ordinary workout space and it is part of the charm! As another reviewer called it an alternative fitness center, and that is very accurate. Some of the classes they offer include lyra, aerial yoga, parkour, pole, silks, acro yoga, an assortment of gymnastics and I've even seen an intro to contortion class on their schedule! In addition to all these great classes for adults, they also offer kids versions of acro yoga and parkour which I think is fantastic and makes me wish a place like this existed when I was a kid. I've been to 4 acro yoga classes so far, and I have been enjoying it more and more. It feels very safe because you are put in groups of either 3 or 4 so you have spotters for safety. The extremely helpful aspect is there are two friendly, energetic and passionate instructors who go from group to group instructing step by step when trying out new poses. Not a whole lot of learning is possible without them being nearby when you've never done something before. The hard part it when the class is super full with new folks and the instructors can't multiply themselves to have one for each group! I've had the best time getting the most out of class when the group is smaller and there are less groups for them to get around to. But they do a very good job moving around to give their time to everyone. The only thing I would change is that prior to each mini warm-up we start out with a game that sometimes is or is not relevant to acro in my opinion. I feel like sometimes it takes too long and takes away from the practice part of class which is the part I'm really interested in. Lache is an awesome, supportive, and positive place to learn aerial and circus arts. There is something for everyone of every age. Lache has made a hugely positive impact on my body and life, I recommend it 1000%! I often struggle to go to regular gyms, and push myself consistently. At Lache, I'm inspired to be consistent, because I've having so much fun, and I want to see all my friends. I don't think about *needing" to go, I want to go, because I want to keep learning amazing things and am inspired by everyone there. I love coming here. The energy is always so positive, and there's a lot of freedom to what I want to do when I work out here. Classes (aerial, pole, parkour, gymnastics, trampoline...) all have passionate and enthusiastic instructors who prioritize safety as well as fun. Happy I found this alternative fitness center, I tried it for a month and I loved it, such a great workout, I tried Gymnastics, Aerial Yoga, Trampoline, Bendy and Fit. Instructors are very friendly and supportive, make you feel comfortable and safe specially your first class. Laché is an amazing space for movers of all kinds. They offer classes on everything from acro yoga to trampoline to trapeze to parkour. The instructors are masters of their crafts and they have a contagious passion for what they do. They take safety very seriously, an obvious must when it comes to this stuff. They offer instruction for kids and adults in mixed age classes which I think makes for a really awesome and unique experience for both the adults and the kiddos. While many pole studios I've come across have been femme only with rules barring anyone else, Laché is open to all and I think the demographic is closer to 50/50 than anywhere else I've trained aerials. My child and I have now taken 3 classes at Lache Movement separately. It is a small, well-designed space. Unlike other parkour and aerial places we have been it has a real intimate, community feel to it. They also have someone manning the front desk continually who is friendly and informative (I suspect others who have been to as many different places as I have know how nice that is not to be left standing there wondering what is going on). The windows and the art-work definitely make the space seem less industrial and more enjoyable to hang out in. Lache does a little bit of everything and has really good drop-in prices. My 7 yr-old loved her Mixed Aerials class that included a little parkour and the Acroyoga and Play class. The Acroyoga and Play class is the class that I have been wanting for my child. The warm-up segment had physical, imaginative improv that is great for helping kids learn to get a sense of body-language. Unlike during the Mixed Aerials Class, the Acroyoga and Play class is the only class in the gym at the time. I feel like she is going to learn a lot of great soft skills like working with other kids from the class and both verbal and non-verbal communication. She is a physical kid who wants to learn new things all the time, so the drop-in set-up of Lache is great. They have a nice variety of different classes parkour, aerials, acroyoga that we previously had been going to 4 to 5 different places all over town to take, so nice to have those all in 1 place. I also heard they may have Aerial Yoga in the future. I took a Chi Kung class that I plan to continue taking. It is really hard to find one in North Austin and especially hard to find one that does not require a long-term commitment with a teacher who communicates the moves well. The main con to Lache is part of the pro, it is a small shared space which is great for seeing what other people are doing and thinking "I want to try that," but also there is the need to share space with other classes at the same time which can be potentially distracting and requires some organizational work. It worked during my Chi Kung class fine and even my child's Mixed Aerials Class, just not sure what happens if the classes fill up. read more
