I've met Zilla, who Ally, the owner teaches some sessions on Wednesdays and I can get my doggy cuddles while I am getting my Pilates workout on? Win win! My sister and I did the 1-month unlimited intro package for $180 and completed 20 classes, so we really got to experience the studio! Overall, we enjoyed the pace and structure of the classes. Most sessions are a slower burn with a strong focus on legs and glutes. The 45-minute format is a great sweet spot - it feels efficient and effective. Parking is also easy, with a few spots up front and a larger lot just a short walk away. That said, there are a few areas that could improve the experience: * Modifications: Instructors do a great job offering more advanced and challenging variations for experienced clients, which we appreciated, but they don't consistently provide modifications for those on the flip side. While we've seen instructors occasionally bring over balance poles or offer tweaks, this could be done much more consistently. Some students clearly struggle with certain movements, but rarely get offered alternative options like switching to forearms or adjusting spring tension. It often feels like you're either expected to push through or figure it out yourself. Including more beginner-friendly modifications would make the classes feel more inclusive and supportive. * Form corrections: Most instructors give general cues to the room, like "keep your hips square," but there's little individual feedback. It would be helpful if instructors walked around and gave personalized adjustments (with consent), especially when someone's form is clearly off or they're unsure if they're doing something right. Small, specific corrections can make a huge difference in both results and injury prevention. * Muscle engagement and intent: One class with Minjae really stood out - she explained exactly where we should be feeling the burn (outer glutes), and offered a simple adjustment (shift hips back) if we were feeling it in the wrong place (quads). That kind of clear, technical guidance helps so much in understanding how to activate the right muscles. More of this across instructors would be incredibly valuable. * Class structure: It'd be great to have some targeted classes - not every class needs to be full-body. A few sessions focused on arms/back or core would help people build a more balanced weekly routine and keep things feeling fresh. * Stretching: The cool-down at the end of class is often rushed. Adding even just 5 minutes of guided stretching would help release tension and end class on a more intentional note. * Studio space: More mirrors would be super helpful for checking and correcting form. Right now, only a few sides of the room have mirrors, which limits visibility. All that said, we truly enjoyed our month here and felt supported and challenged throughout. The instructors bring great energy, and the studio offers a solid foundation for anyone getting into Pilates. I had a very disappointing experience here, especially as a first-time client. I arrived early for my scheduled Pilates class and was completely ignored at the front desk by the instructor Min Jae who was going to give the class I had signed up for. I said Hi and she looked at me and turned around not even acknowledging me, and kept looking over her shoulder as if I was bothering by standing there. Absolutely no manners or guidance was given and the studio was not even full to say that they were busy to atleast acknowledge. The lack of basic customer service was honestly shocking. I sat there for like 15 min and still no acknowledgement even though there were only like 5 people in the studio, so I walked out. I reached out via email to express my concerns in a calm and respectful way, hoping for accountability or at least a genuine apology. Instead, the response I received felt dismissive and gaslighting. Rather than apologizing for what happened, they used language along the lines of "sorry you felt that way. They also claimed that there was "confusion" because it was a pop-up weekend and that the people at the front desk were not staff members. This explanation does not align with reality -- I confirmed their identities directly through the studio's own website, where both individuals are clearly listed as instructors/trainers (Min Jae and Stephanie M.) and I even referenced their names in my email. Despite this, they were still telling me they were not staff members. No phone call was offered, no real attempt was made to understand my experience, and no accountability was taken. Pilates studios should be welcoming, especially to new clients. Unfortunately, between the initial treatment and the way my complaint was handled afterward, I did not feel valued or respected here. I won't be returning, and I would not recommend this studio to anyone who expects basic professionalism and honesty. read more

I stopped in earlier today to inquire about a unlimited membership. I had tried calling the store, but apparently come to find out after dropping in in person today, they don't have a phone. Apparently they were in the middle of an interview. I waited at the front desk, no problem. The lady was very rude and basically was like we aren't open & we are interviewing someone right now. I said "oh im sorry i didn't know iv been trying to call & im just wondering about a membership." Older lady (Ally) then opened the door for me to leave. She gave me no callback number, no here's an email if you have any inquiries. Nothing. I work in customer service and I would have said something to the effect of " i'm so sorry unfortunately we're not open right now we're conducting an interview. However, here is a number that you can get a hold of us or an email where you can get a hold of us to inquire about that membership (or have me write down my information) again so sorry for the inconvenient timing" Definitely will not be getting a membership here extremely rude and unprofessional. Also lock the door to the studio if you're closed.. keep in mind this was around noon or 1 o'clock. Their loss I was looking to sign up for a 3 month unlimited membership. read more

So lucky that I got to experience Pure Pilates in Austin. They have the best instructors- somehow they manage to do it all. Clear instructions, upbeat but not overwhelming music, and workouts that are challenging but easily modifiable depending on your experience. My first class was SUCH A GOOD WORKOUT, in a good way; and I was hooked. I think I was sore for 3 days afterwards, which means it's working. Pure Pilates made me wish that I lived in the area so that I could go all the time! I've attended other group reformer classes and nothing lives up. I liked that the environment was super friendly and accepting. Some pilates communities can feel very superficial and focused on only one body type, but the Pure Pilates classes I attended felt very inclusive. I felt safe in the class because they limited the class size and made sure to keep air circulating- plus, at the time, they were requiring masks. Pure Pilates is a local addiction I can't get enough of. BE WARNED: Your first class will be the hardest workout of your life. Once you become a regular, your muscles will get used to being challenged! Pure Pilates essentially is a total body workout. Like all workouts, you start with a warm-up, and progress into either upper/lower body. It's amazing! Whatever you do, DON'T QUIT! Felt the need to get out and do something, so I booked this one pretty last minute on ClassPass. I'd done a few pilates classes in the past and never thought they were much of a work out, but this one (literally) took my breath away. The "megaformer" was a bit different from other reformers I'd used in the past and made it easy to get a full body workout in -- it was kind of fun too! Wouldn't necessarily recommend this for someone that's not at least moderately active, since I hit the gym a few times a week and still found myself struggling a bit (but in a good way!). Front desk staff is rude. I'm a cancer patient in treatment and take pilates classes because the studios are generally very clean. I wore my mask to my machine and midclass was having a hard time breathing so I took it off and was told to wear it or leave. I 100% understand the need for the masks in common areas and next to folks however I was distanced on my own machine and legitimately struggling to breath.. When I explained the I had a real medical reason for not wearing it (am disabled and fully vaccinated) I was told "it didnt matter" because it's a private studio. I was even going to pull up a pdf version of my note from my doctor but staff didn't care.. Not to mention all of this was occurring while while the instructor spoke into the mic mic humiliated me....To the owner, ADA rights hold true regardless of being on private property or not. read more

I have been to 4 classes here so far, one with Marcella, Olivia, and Daniel and unfortunately I can't remember the other amazing woman's name. You still are not cleaning hairs on the floor and your local discounts are nonexistent. Also why don't you have more weekend classes available?? Most people are working professionals and the weekends can have more classes added. Your last class that you offer at noon is always full so that should be a sign to add another class after it or two. It would also be nice to try to have a couple night classes on Sunday. read more

I check out studios other than my home studio all the time. I often find I like many of the other studios but rarely am utterly impressed. Pure Pilates brought it! What I like about the studio: - ample garage parking - easy and quick sign up/waiver all done on a tablet - amazing mega former machines (Pure Pilates is the only studio using this model in Austin) - Aesthetic open studio with natural light - excellent instructors with personality to boot - wonderful sound system making it easy to hear instructions during class Pure Pilates follows Sebastien Lagree's style of Pilates using his Megaformer machines. I found the machine comfortable (cushy), easy to use and ergonomic. During our workout we did arms, core, glutes and legs work all utilizing aspects of the Megaformer. I felt in control and stable while working the heck out of my muscles. The flow between movements was smooth and well instructed. The full body workout is about 45 minutes making it easy to squeeze in during the day. I am also a fan of the class times. Too often afternoon/evening classes don't start until 6pm many places. By far the best Pilates studio I have ever been to and I've been to quite a few even taking the course in college which sparked my love for it. They have excellent customer service, amazing instructors with exceptional guidance & modifications for every move, fabulous studios, every inch has always been pristine even pre-covid, great vibes/energy and just all around a lovely experience you won't regret. This is definitely not a studio for beginners. This was my first pilates class, and the instructor did not exhibit any sort of patience with me as I navigated the megaformer machine. My instructor patronized me almost the entire class by calling out my name to correct my form about 15 times, even aggressively adjusting my machine to indicate she was frustrated with me. I'm no stranger to exercise, and I know my movements were not wonky enough to be called out so many times. Very hostile environment and I will not be returning. My best advice is to do research on your instructor before scheduling a class. I appreciate that this location does a lot of promotions, but nobody should feel embarrassed after leaving a class that's supposed to empower you and make you feel stronger. read more

I LOVE Pure Pilates and I love this studio. It is such a great workout. I've been doing reformer pilates for a year now and have seen such a positive change in my body, including increased strength, endurance, cardiovascular health, etc. All the instructors are amazing - very nice, friendly, and totally kick your butt. I can't even pick a favorite because I love them all (e.g. Nicole, Chelsea, Emma, Robin, Stephanie, Rachel, etc. - sorry if I missed anyone). They switch up the work out routine frequently so you can go every day and work different parts of your body out. The studio is clean and pleasant, scheduling is easy. I have had nothing but great experiences in this studio. I had no Pilates experience when I started and have been impressed with the results. Obvious improvements in overall strength (particularly in core, glutes, and legs) and balance were noticeable after only a couple of weeks. Over additional weeks stability related to a chronic ankle injury improved. Even my "flexibility" range improved from raw carrot to raw asparagus. I am nearing 3 months of frequent sessions at Pure Pilates (Domain Location). The facilities and equipment are all excellent, but the instructors really make this place special. I have taken over 50 classes and have always had an excellent class with the Domain regulars and the substitutes from the West Campus location. I have certainly have had rough days, due to fatigue from my other activities, but I always come out of class feeling better than when I walked in. The last few minutes of class are always a challenge, but as soon as we finish stretching I feel great and know that I accomplished something during class. Everyone always have a favorite instructor and there are definite advantages with working with one or couple of different instructions on a consistent basis. When you work with the same instructor(s) on regularly they quickly learn your individual strengths and weakness and can better challenge your strengths and motivate you to work through for weak spots. Trying new instructors occasionally has the advantage of getting a fresh critique on form. Different instructors also have their own favorite movements, so you will likely work through some new movements by switching instructors. If I was limited to only doing one workout activity this would be my choice! read more

A short sharp focussed work out that always leaves me feeling achy but energised - I've been coming for about a month now and my favourite classes are with Laura and Ayesha - they always make me hurt the most the next day. Small classes, super close supervision, modifications mean its pretty accessible and I feel like I can tell the difference in my body already. I'm hooked. read more

Mega former !!! Not yo mamas Pilates class!! I was so excited to see Pure Pilates on my ClassPass list, seeing that there's not a ton (or any that I've seen!) of studios that have the reformer, or the Megaformer. I've done plenty of mat and barre pilates, and reformer only a few times. This trumps all, just saying. I attended a lovely Friday evening class with Devon. 10 machines, so book in advance to be sure you can get in. The studio is clean and simple. With a nice restroom and place for your belongings, mirrors on 3/4 of the walls allow you to constantly check your form. What I love about the reformer/Megaformer is that you are constantly using your core and abs. Everything you do requires core strength and stability to ensure stabilization on the machine. The class is broken up into upper body and lower body, hitting all those trouble zones that us women complain about. The class is 45 minutes, which is totally doable. Devon always let us know when we had 20,10, and 5 seconds left. Just enough to push yourself to your limit. I loved using the straps, ring, bar, and carousel to challenge my body in a low impact manner. I am so in love with Pilates, and Megaformer adds a new component that I love. The instructor offered adjustments, encouragement, and praise, and not in an annoying way. ClassPass only allows us 3 visits to the same studio per month, and I know I will hit 3 at this spot every time. If you're on the fence, GO for it! They will cue you and help you; it doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a pro! I love it!! read more

After my first class at Pure Pilates I have to admit, I wasn't into it. But one of my friends who goes monthly convinced me to give it another shot. I went to a class taught by Taylor and WOW. I was officially hooked. Muscles I didn't even know I had were sore the next day and day after, and yet it only motivated me to go again! My office is located at the Domain, so the 7:30-8:15am classes are perfect because I can get a workout in before work and head straight there since I am not drenched in sweat after. The studio is very clean and fresh. Small classes help too because they are able to see if you need adjustments to make sure you're doing each exercise correctly. When they learn your name the positive comments really help your self esteem as well. The price was a bit daunting at first- but when I stopped eating lunch out each week and saw amazing results, the price is worth how I feel about my body. Again- if you are on the fence, TRY it. I've been to most of the pilates places in Austin and this is by far the best I've ever experienced I went to a class with Ayesha and yes, whilst it's possibly the hardest workout you will ever have, it is absolutely amazing. Usually I find it really hard to pick up moves and to understand what I'm supposed to do, the classes are so small that the teacher has the time and patience to really help you and guide you though at your pace. Their Pilates class is a perfect low impact workout. There are no jumps or high impact cardio moves, so you don't have to worry about joint pain or injury. Although this class incorporates strength training and cardio, it's all based around your CORE. This is a fun and inviting place to go and get a nice workout. read more

I am surprised I have enough energy to write this review because I am SO SORE from this workout. I go to barre classes regularly, as well as other similar workouts, but Pure Pilates was one of the most difficult by far. They use a reformer machine for the workout and it truly makes a huge difference. The movements are simple enough- lunges, squats, etc. But on the reformer, it makes it much harder. I got a great workout and could barely walk up the stairs afterwards. The class has approximately 10 machines so you'll definitely get a more personal experience than in other workout classes. Our instructor Devyn was great; she had a lot of energy which must've been hard at 6am! She helped me a lot in fixing my form (probably doesn't bode well for me) and gave me an informative rundown before class. Parking is really convenient- either in front of the building or in the parking garage behind the studio. It's also on class pass which is a huge plus! read more

I found them through ClassPass last month and have loved taking their weekday 12-12:45 class. You get an awesome workout in (I was SO sore the day after I took my first class) but don't get too sweaty which is perfect for a lunch break workout. I have never done pilates before BUT I live in the Domain and I'm in a work out rut so I thought I'd try it. Our instructor, Tracy, was super upbeat, kept the class moving and the 45 minutes flew by. It was an awesome, hard core work out. I was worried about the exercises being to hard but you can break it down a bit if you are struggling. The facility was clean, well organized, and pretty. Very aesthetically pleasing studio - love the décor! The few classes I have taken here have been small which is nice because it offers more hand-on, direct attention. These classes are great for toning and are vey low-impact which I love because I have knee issues. I love Pilates classes using the megareformer and I have been frequenting studios all over the country. Pure Pilates has had some instructor turnover and there are a lot of new people being trained to teach. Unfortunately this means that the classes are not as great as they were. With other Pilates studios opening up in the area, they will need to step up their game. Classes need to be more challenging and the instructors need to assist their clients. So, i belong to a gym, and do yoga at a few locations around town, as well as run townlake. I decided to join Pure Pilates for a month to see what it could do for my core, because its been feeling like my week link. HOLY MOLY - what a difference it has made! I can do pushups on my toes for the first time in years. Its taught me so much about my different muscle groups. my running form has improved, i feel stronger overall. I just signed up for a second month!!! and most of all i see a difference in the mirror - both in how my posture has improved as well as definition in areas there wasn't before. The location is gorgeous, well lit and has convenient parking, that you can zip into and zip out of, unlike alot of other buildings in the Domain. it is no more than a 1 min and 30 second walk from your car to the door. there are 9 special reformer stations set up, and 1 instructor, so if you are just starting out with many of these moves, they will help adjust your form. there is plenty of time between classes to stretch out using the machines (which really helps me). The instructors are so nice, and if you are a first timer, plan on being at class 15 min early so they can help you get set up and used to being on the machine. Classes are different every time, so its always a challenge. and it kicks your BUTT in 45 minutes. there is something truly unique in the way the workout so deeply engages my muscles, its different than anything i have ever done. I am so thankful this new studio opened up, it is the perfect way to start or end my day - the hardest 45 minutes of my day but i leave feeling like I am building a solid foundation on my body each time - one class at a time. read more

This has been the most exhilarating, addictive and expensive weight loss of my entire life, but it's still (so far) cheaper than lipo and has done amazing things to my person. I started Pure Pilates in June (adding it to my regular Krav Maga classes + started dieting because damn) when I realized that I simply couldn't go outside anymore in the Austin summer weather. Just couldn't. So I found this classy little air-conditioned spot in the Domain and got to it. I bought two classes to start and was instantly addicted. Pros: extremely challenging and mentally engaging; zero impact; aerobic like whoa; made my body leaner; enhanced my balance and stability (from a baseline of being rather uncoordinated); great music; great instructors; fun to meet classmates; accommodates my short attention span with only 15-60 seconds in each movement; accessible to a diversity of fitness levels, ages, and body types (no jiggling, y'all!). Cons: expensive! now I know why rich people look so supple! and also, it was a teensy bit embarrassing when coworkers started commenting on my supposedly radical physical transformation. Uh guys, it was 10 lbs, not 50. That was a total humblebrag, but, just sayin'. In June and July I lost 1 lb per week and now it's slowed down but I'm continuing to lean out. I can do 20 pushups. After a class, nothing aches; everything feels wobbly and euphoric. It's like super hard yoga on crack. The more you do it, the harder and better it gets.
