It was really good, incorporating the use of weights and a lot of glute, back and ab work! The class itself was challenging but 2000s R&B/hip hop kept me going! The music choice was lively and perfect for Pilates! The studio is very modern and playful, the low lighting really set the tone, even the equipment is fun & playful! I have been a client at Ann Arnoult's Pilates Studio since February 2010 and I couldn't be more…read morepleased with the time I've spent there. Ann's crew of skilled Pilates trainers are friendly and concerned with meeting your particular needs. I started going as a complete novice, not even sure what Pilates is. Now I know it is one of the best ways to: improve posture, build and tone muscle, lose weight, recover from injury, prevent injury (especially back), prevent or treat osteoporosis, increase flexibility and get a whole body workout. Erin Leary, my usual trainer, has been encouraging and patient with me along the way. I recommend working with her or any of the talented people at the studio. My advice if you're thinking about trying it- go for 5 sessions and get the idea of what it's about. Your body will probably be so grateful that you won't want to stop. That's what happened to me and I've lost 15 pounds, I actually have a waistline now and some pretty awesome muscles in my arms and legs. Additionally, my chronically bad posture is majorly improved as well as my general well-being. I intend to stay a client at Ann Arnoult's indefinitely because it is honestly the best thing I have ever done for my health! p.s. some people think Pilates is only for women but plenty of men go to Ann Arnoult's too!

I love Blackbird!…read more Brenda and Marlo make a great team! They really care about your progress and find ways to help you reach your goals. I messed up my knee a few years back (working out with a trainer) and was scared to get back on the workout horse. I was looking for a trainer that would work with me to build strength in my knee and get me over my fear of pushing myself. I read all the reviews out there and found that Blackbird had what I was looking for. I get to workout with Brenda and she is a total badass. She always starts by asking if anything is bothering me (i.e. my knee, my back, my attitude) and works around them to totally kick my butt. It's the best thing I do for myself all week. If you are intimidated, don't be. Just come in and see.

His thoughtfulness and deep knowledge made every session feel safe, effective, and motivating. As someone who used to skip workouts, I now genuinely look forward to them. We're now fitter and stronger than ever -- and that's entirely thanks to Evan's guidance. If you're looking for a smart, kind, and adaptable trainer who truly listens, Evan is the one.

Erin Leary is AMAZING. As a long time pilates student, I have had several instructors and Erin has…read morebeen the best ever! 2 important points: 1) I was in a pretty severe car accident and she was so great during that time. I took initial time off to rest and heal but when it was time to reengage my body I realized that it was going to be a LOT harder than I thought. I was so frustrated, at first. Erin remained patient with me and really worked with me to address the concerns I had about re-injuring myself but still wanting to make progress. She helped me emotionally and physically. 2) Pre-natal! When I found out I was pregnant, I was really excited but worried about how I was going to be able to keep up with pilates. I had severe lower back/sciatic nerve pain throughout the pregnancy (plus lingering injury from previous car accident!) and she helped me modify every exercise to fit my needs. She even did research outside of our appointments into various exercises and ways to keep me comfortable while moving forward. Erin's encouragement, patience, discipline, experience and kindness are above and beyond what you will find in any instructor. She is a diamond and I am lucky that I found her! Thank you, Erin, for all of your amazing help! I could not have done it without you!

I've been taking Pilates for 8-9 years now and I've worked with a number of different instructors. Working with Erin has been great. I've added strength and flexibility. She's also helped me recover from some sporting injuries. I appreciate that over the 4-5 years working with her, as my instructor, that she has continued to study and add to her knowledge and skill. I've seen her work wonders with many people that previously had injuries or physical limitations that needed rehabilitation or special care. She's simply exceptional. If you have an interest in Pilates, I recommend her highly.

First time at Prana Wellness Club and I absolutely fell in love with this place!…read more I came on a Sunday morning for a Pilates class. The space is beautiful, warm and feels SO relaxing, you can tell they put so much thought into every little detail. The Pilates studio itself is nice and everyone I interacted with was super friendly. Parking can be a little tricky, especially during busy times or rush hours. There are a few spots right in front of the wellness center, but they fill up quickly. You can also park on the street or by the café next door, which is really good too, by the way! Such a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. I'll definitely be back!

The space is beautifully designed and so aesthetic. The parking lot is small though so I recommend coming early to snag a spot. The Pilates Reformer class only has about 7 reformers which makes for a really intimate setting. Maria was easy to follow and walked us through everything you can do with the machine, including equipment I had never seen before. While it was a great introduction to the reformer, the intensity was a bit lacking. We all walked out feeling like the class was too easy. My suggestion would be to let students know they can increase resistance with the different color springs or offer modifications for different levels so everyone gets a more personalized challenge.
