Castlehill Fitness is a gem of a gym and it's locally owned! Some of the perks: Never overcrowded,…read moreno waits for machines (and there is a lot of variety), courteous and helpful front desk staff, top notch instructors (Pilates, HITT, yoga, cycle, all types of strength classes and many more), an amazing acupuncturist on site as well as excellent massage and physical therapists. The gym is kept clean and orderly depending on what you want to focus on. The prices aren't really more expensive than other local gyms and here you will get attention and feel you are valued! Check it out- there is always some kind of special going on! Just ask.

It's a full gym offering a variety of classes, equipment, and wellness spa, the best part it has been locally owned for 22 years. Castle Hill isn't the prettiest or shiniest gym. She's funky and oddly shaped and full of good energy. As a VIP member you get unlimited group classes! Including Pilates with reformer, towers, and chairs! Plus yoga. Strength training classes. Rebounders. It's all here. I've never seen any other gym anywhere offer so much. Also, the members take care of this place, wiping down equipment, they don't use harsh chemicals either, it's essential oils so the place has a light hint of pine in the air. Also, towel service in included. Although, castle hill fitness isn't the prettiest gym, she has the most heart, I don't feel like a piece of meat in there, and it's kept clean. Def a fan of this place; the staff, and the value.

What do you need, mama?…read more Inner peace and relaxation? Practical knowledge and confidence? Just a moment to yourself? Lindsey and her team have given me all of this and so much more in the journey to motherhood. Austin Yoga Lounge is more than just a pre and post-natal yoga studio; it's a community. They offer yoga and strength classes with options for prenatal or postpartum (with and without your little one). They also offer specialized workshops for moms, partners, and little ones with different topics -- birth prep, CPR, feeding, etc... something for everyone during this season of life.

I cannot say enough good things about Lindsey snd the beautiful space she has created! I started…read moregoing to Austin Yoga lounge around 11 or 12 weeks pregnant. I was doing hot yoga around 3 to 4 times a week and some Pilates here and there, but I quickly had to change my routine as an expecting mother. And I was so blessed to find Austin Yoga lounge! I love taking the power flow classes for a bit of a challenge, and show up almost every Tuesday and Thursday to do Alex's prenatal strength. Do not be fooled, you will absolutely get a workout from these classes! Motherhood can be such an adjustment and I'm so grateful that I get to continue to move my body in a way that serves me. Beyond fitness, Austin Yoga lounge has a ton of different workshops geared towards various topics, mother's groups, and even doula services. I am a first time mom, and I live out of state and away from all my family, and Austin Yoga lounge has been my support system in my community through these past six months. If you aren't expecting mother looking for any level of support, I highly recommend you come. It truly goes beyond just a place to work out. It is a community. It is a home. It is a sisterhood!

As Yelper Hannah G perfectly put it, "With how saturated the yoga market is, it was hard for me to find a place that I connected with". For me, that place has turned out to be Sukha Yoga. Sure, Mark (co-founder) has no idea who I am--I've only taken his class once--but that single experience left a lasting impression. I attended his Saturday Bhakti Service: Flow, Meditation, and Sound, an 80 min class that collaborates an intentional vinyasa flow practice with mindfulness. For "busy" folks who struggle to slow down or are close-minded, this class (and maybe even this style of practice) might not be for you. As Mark's fists say, he certainly is a "GURU." He guides his class with intention and power, while also subtly weaving in his musical talents, playing several instruments and even singing, in a way that feels genuine and somehow not cringe. The class is structured, yet somehow freeing. Mark allows you to set your own pace during sun salutations, which feels like pure magic. The experience made me feel grounded and safe. I could have cried with how deeply content my soul felt. BONUS: If you love dogs, you'll probably find Mark's extremely well behaved mini doodle, Mai, practicing her down dog. If you don't, there's a door... NOTE: For first timers, it's located next door to Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co--easy to miss if you're not looking for it.

Finding the studio and parking was a bit difficult, but once I was inside it felt warm and inviting. There was a small waiting area with some seating which led right to the studio itself. Not huge, but cozy. The class started on time and the instructor took us through a well sequenced flow. It was powerful but far from overwhelming. The studio was supposed to be heated, but it's possible I was not near enough to an infrared light which kept me from getting a sweat in. After the class was over, the instructor invited me to join a small group for a Barton Springs plunge. Really appreciated the community building outside of class! Thanks again and I'll look forward to returning and trying out some other class styles!
