It was part Pilates/part Breathwork, and the instructor made it a very powerful experience all around. The movement portion was very challenging, but he structured it very well and knew how to add more variations to each exercise in a way that made it easy for the class to follow. I'm still sore a few days later but in the best way! And the Breathwork portion was just wonderful- so powerful I cried. Greg created a very safe container that allowed us all to release the emotions that needed to come up. The class ended with a beautiful meditation focused on the real meaning of abundance and it's one I'll continue to carry with me. Can't wait for the next one!

I always feel welcomed by the entire staff when I walk in. It never felt like there was a hierarchy of regulars, even as a first timer I got the same embrace which made it so much less intimidating. The inside space is also really nice. It's a bit out of the way for me so I don't go regularly but when I can go, it feels like a quick trip to Sedona, especially given the hill as the backdrop. The classes remain consistently intense and a fantastic workout. There's a wide range of classes offered every day, and I really appreciate the variety of instructors--you get to find your favorites over time, which makes the experience even better. The studio has a friendly vibe, and most of the spaces are clean. That said, there are usually some stray hairs on the studio floor and a persistent fly that seems to live in Studio 1 (it's become a bit of a running joke in my head). The bathrooms and locker areas, on the other hand, are always very clean and well-maintained. I also love that they provide two hours of validated parking for the nearby garage--super convenient. If I had to point out a couple of areas for improvement: I wish they cleaned the studio floors a bit more thoroughly between classes. I've started wearing socks anytime I'm not on my mat to avoid stepping on anything. I'd also love to see more studio-wide challenges. In the four months I've been attending, there's only been one (the Summer Glow Challenge in August), which was super motivating--it would be great to have more of these throughout the year. Overall, I love this studio, have an all-access membership, and plan to keep coming here for the foreseeable future!

I have been a client at Ann Arnoult's Pilates Studio since February 2010 and I couldn't be more…read morepleased with the time I've spent there. Ann's crew of skilled Pilates trainers are friendly and concerned with meeting your particular needs. I started going as a complete novice, not even sure what Pilates is. Now I know it is one of the best ways to: improve posture, build and tone muscle, lose weight, recover from injury, prevent injury (especially back), prevent or treat osteoporosis, increase flexibility and get a whole body workout. Erin Leary, my usual trainer, has been encouraging and patient with me along the way. I recommend working with her or any of the talented people at the studio. My advice if you're thinking about trying it- go for 5 sessions and get the idea of what it's about. Your body will probably be so grateful that you won't want to stop. That's what happened to me and I've lost 15 pounds, I actually have a waistline now and some pretty awesome muscles in my arms and legs. Additionally, my chronically bad posture is majorly improved as well as my general well-being. I intend to stay a client at Ann Arnoult's indefinitely because it is honestly the best thing I have ever done for my health! p.s. some people think Pilates is only for women but plenty of men go to Ann Arnoult's too!
