All of them were strong teachers in different ways. I felt so great, that for Christmas, I gave a set of classes to my husband, along with a pair of Pilates socks. Ha. Let's just say that this was not on his wish list. :-) But after one class, he was hooked. And we have been taking classes together ever since. Then when the pandemic hit, PCA turned on a dime, and in no time began to offer virtual classes. And we LOVE them. Because they work even better for our work schedules, we were able to sign up for 3x a week. We take one at 9am, one at 7am, and one at noon. We take classes from 3 different teachers, Ivy, Pia and Marcos, and each is excellent in a different way. So we feel like we are receiving a well-rounded movement regimen every week. She took it easy on me (for now) and tailored the workout just to what I needed that day - easy on the legs, hard on the abs. It's great to have an instructor who's flexible, not sticking to the same routine and will create the workout around what you need that day. The facility is in a good location, easy to get to, easy to park at and all of her equipment is in great shape (hah). Cameron is lots of fun, energetic, easy going, but will still give you a good, hard workout - I HIGHLY recommend her!!

Ann's crew of skilled Pilates trainers are friendly and concerned with meeting your particular needs. I started going as a complete novice, not even sure what Pilates is. Now I know it is one of the best ways to: improve posture, build and tone muscle, lose weight, recover from injury, prevent injury (especially back), prevent or treat osteoporosis, increase flexibility and get a whole body workout. Erin Leary, my usual trainer, has been encouraging and patient with me along the way. I recommend working with her or any of the talented people at the studio. My advice if you're thinking about trying it- go for 5 sessions and get the idea of what it's about. Your body will probably be so grateful that you won't want to stop. That's what happened to me and I've lost 15 pounds, I actually have a waistline now and some pretty awesome muscles in my arms and legs. Additionally, my chronically bad posture is majorly improved as well as my general well-being. I usually do doubles and buy a 10 class card to save a little money. I see Gabel on Mondays and Anne on Friday's and I absolutely love how balanced, taller and more fit I feel after every session. Their knowledge of the body and attention to detail shows in each session . I work out hard without injury and always feel leaner and stronger . A great studio with awesome trainers !

I first heard about Mauro Pilates by browsing through Bettysport's calendar and noticing they…read moreoffered free 'Bi-lates' on Tues and Thurs mornings offered by Liana. I finally got the will power to wake up early and get in a morning workout before heading off to work. I remember my abs being sore for a week after attending class twice that week. I have tried barre, running, p90x, & other various workout dvds, but nothing came close to toning my full body in that short amount of time like pilates did. I lost one dress size in a month just by attending class twice a week. I just love that my clothes are fitting the way they're supposed to. No more sucking it in or doing lunges just to get my jeans up past my thighs and zipped up. I can finally say bye-bye to my mini muffin top and I have never been happier. Liana is great at creating and modifying workouts to fit your needs, goals, and skill level. Don't think that you will get bored after a few weeks like with most workout routines. She will have new workouts to show you in no time so always expect a different challenge every time you attend class. I am not the most flexible person in the world, but Liana helps modify the moves for me so that I am in a comfortable position and not straining my lower back. She also corrects your body position/alignment if you are slightly off so that you are getting the full benefits of the workout. I am a firm believer that your results will depend on the amount of effort and time spent on exercising. One of the first things Liana told me when I walked in was 'I like high reps.' I smiled and thought to myself, 'This is going to get interesting.' Finally, someone who will challenge me and motivate to push me harder.
