But if you want your kid to start training in boxing with the intent of truly being able to defend him/herself, if you want a coach who isn't there to cuddle your child, but impress upon them the real skills and the real confidence that will come with it, that's the place I recommend. If you want your kid to lose the soft belly (literally and figuratively), learn boxing and appreciate the grit, sweat and determination that comes with it, give this place a call. You will not recognize your kid in a year. Or yourself, for that matter, as Siego (head trainer) trains adults too. This place is not for everyone. And that's the best thing about it.

The academy is clean, organized, and has a very welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The professors and coaches were top-notch -- extremely technical, detail-oriented, and able to teach in a way that made the techniques easy to understand and apply. What stood out most was the structure and discipline within the classes. You can tell there's a strong culture of respect, learning, and high-level instruction here. Everyone seemed focused on improving while still keeping the environment friendly and supportive for all skill levels. The location is great for anyone in East Pflugerville. Parking was easy and not overcrowded, and although the academy is tucked behind a few storefronts, it's still very accessible once you know where it is. Overall, this is an excellent place to train, learn, and grow in jiu-jitsu whether you're a beginner or experienced practitioner. Really appreciated the hospitality and welcoming environment while dropping in. Looking forward to training here again whenever I'm back in the area!

Enrolling our son here is like becoming part of another community because you'll get to know the other families and grow alongside them. Overall, FWJJ offers a welcoming family-friendly environment for everyone at reasonable prices. We are proud to be a small part of it.

Thought it might be a good option for us, so wanted to check it out. After checking in, they said the coach would be out soon and showed us where to line up. When the time came, the kids lined up and were called in, but the ninja coach never came to introduce herself, which was disappointing. After a group stretching session, they split off into their own programs. At the ninja station, there just was not much going on. I was bored just watching them repeat the same few things over and over again. The instructor was bored too as she was yawning nonstop. At one point she was literally just sitting there while the kids kind of did free play on their own. I'm not sure if they do different things each class or if it's the same but this looks like it would get boring after 3-4 sessions. Once it was over, the coach did still did not come meet nor was there any follow up on whether we want to sign up or share thoughts. For me, this program was missing a few key things I expect - safety, inclusion, and real opportunities for growth, confidence, and community. The instructor barely paid attention, the activities felt unstructured, and there was no sense of connection or purpose. So basically it's just a really expensive option to have someone unenthusiastically watch your kid for one hour. The gymnastics side looked more active and organized, so maybe that is their main focus and the ninja program is just an add-on. Either way, I was really disappointed with the Lil ninja program. Also, the facility itself felt kind of dingy. The vending machine was broken and the space did not seem super clean or well kept. Would not recommend Lil ninja based on what I saw.

For starters, the amount of knowledge they have in combat sports and self defense is immense, and when you match that with their passion for teaching, it has made such a huge impact on our family. I was so impressed I decided to also join in the kickboxing and have enjoyed the workout and skills being developed through that as well. Highly recommend!

The vibe is definitely welcoming and family-oriented (the owners' baby is often hanging out by the mats). This particular center stood out to me because they offer classes for toddlers (their Tiny Tots classes, ages 2-3). My daughter attended for a couple months until they unfortunately dropped an early time slot that worked for us (due to low attendance). It was a 20 minute class but it was filled with a variety of exercises -- climbing, crawling, jumping, kicking, catching, and much more. The classes were bookended by an intro to discipline (bowing and addressing their Sensei). I definitely saw an improvement in my daughter after multiple sessions -- her physical skills improved as did her attitude. She seemed to really enjoy it as well. We intend to return when she's a bit older. Highly recommended for kids of all ages.

Only taking one star if you decide to come in as a sole adult. There are other programs that offer a much greater variety of days/time options, and greater variety of instructors if you are a lone adult, however, if you look to enroll your child or to train alongside your child, this appears to be a very good program, perhaps the best in the area. Also, Master Schill is an honorable person who gave me a refund after sign-up, since I was looking for a bit different program at the time as a solo adult. They need help y'all. There are a bunch of 16-21 year olds running this place and we wasted tons of…read moretime and money being with this gym. At first I loved it, we got a Groupon and loved how welcoming the front desk was. I finally felt like I was seen where at another gym I just felt like they could care less if we were there or not which I didn't care for. Platinum made us feel valued and seen. Well, I noticed pretty quickly the constant turnover of coaches, every week my daughters preschool class had a new coach which was discouraging as every week I had to tell my 3yo to not let them hold her hand. My daughter has been walking on a beam for a year without help yet every week with a new coach they would treat her like a baby again. My 5 year old started moving up into the pre team track and it was exciting! I was looking forward to better form, somewhat stricter coaching etc to see her skills really blossom but... honestly it wasn't much different. My daughter would do a terrible cartwheel and they were high giving her and baby taking "great job, wow". Palm to face, this is the pre team track and that flies??? Well they wanted to love her up again, she has been 5 for barely 2 months and wanted her to be on the actual pre team. Practice twice a week which isn't bad but wait for it.... For THREE HOURS on both days, 3:30-6:30. She just turned 5 teal and her skills aren't great, she has potential but she's no Shannon Miller and she's not even close to competing so why am I going to pay $225 a month to burn her out when she's in preschool. To me, here what I see, they are suffering. They need the money, they are pushing these kids up in ranks to fill the spots but these kids are not superstars, not yet at least. They need better coaching, more consistent staff, and higher standards. Final straw was when the owners husband (who is also an owner) and was working at the gym was arrested and being investigated for sex crimes. There was not a peep from them, nothing. To me this is something that should have been addressed, even a simple email stating what was going on and what steps they were taking. Example: As some of you may know, X was recently placed in custody for a crime. We want to assure you X will not be working at the gym during, at minimum, the investigation. If you have any sosecific concerns or questions please contact us at xxx-xxx-xxxx, or myself the owner at xxx-xxx-xxxx. Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Platinum Gymnastics. One more thing that drive me crazy, the bathrooms were always dirty, they need a full paint, their shop is so sad, the waiting room is tiny and the DOOR, the door y'all! The door to get into the gym from the waiting room is a HOT MESS, everyone knows it and they don't do anything about it. We were there for 6 months and things only got worse month by month. We do think the girls were nice, very sweet! But as far as a competitive gymnastics program, keep looking y'all... this isn't the place.

That is customer service 101. The facility is nice and brand new. Should have someone walk thru the girls bathroom midday, everyday, to see if paper towel, soap, and toilet paper needs refilling.
