Staff has little education about skin infections common within gyms 2. Children spread mat infections, colds, and are walking petri dishes 3. Not good spot for adult athletes who want to stay away from becoming sick or coming into contact with potential skin infections 4. Poor self defense and martial art techniques that would cause severe injury in IRL situations are taught to kids here 5. Staff admits to not cleaning as often as they should 6. Gym always has a smell 7. Staff has played Christian music on a speaker during open gym time. Some people have severe traumas regarding Christianity that must be respected and gyms are supposed to be sanctuaries for everyone to feel welcome. Playing Christian music in safe spaces is unethical as it is nonconsensual evangelism. This is a good gym for kids, mostly. Yes there are decent amenities here. I give this place a +4 for effort, a -1 for cleanliness.

At first I loved it, we got a Groupon and loved how welcoming the front desk was. I finally felt like I was seen where at another gym I just felt like they could care less if we were there or not which I didn't care for. Platinum made us feel valued and seen. Well, I noticed pretty quickly the constant turnover of coaches, every week my daughters preschool class had a new coach which was discouraging as every week I had to tell my 3yo to not let them hold her hand. My daughter has been walking on a beam for a year without help yet every week with a new coach they would treat her like a baby again. My 5 year old started moving up into the pre team track and it was exciting! I was looking forward to better form, somewhat stricter coaching etc to see her skills really blossom but... honestly it wasn't much different. My daughter would do a terrible cartwheel and they were high giving her and baby taking "great job, wow". Palm to face, this is the pre team track and that flies??? Well they wanted to love her up again, she has been 5 for barely 2 months and wanted her to be on the actual pre team. Practice twice a week which isn't bad but wait for it.... For THREE HOURS on both days, 3:30-6:30. She just turned 5 teal and her skills aren't great, she has potential but she's no Shannon Miller and she's not even close to competing so why am I going to pay $225 a month to burn her out when she's in preschool. To me, here what I see, they are suffering. They need the money, they are pushing these kids up in ranks to fill the spots but these kids are not superstars, not yet at least. They need better coaching, more consistent staff, and higher standards. Final straw was when the owners husband (who is also an owner) and was working at the gym was arrested and being investigated for sex crimes. There was not a peep from them, nothing. To me this is something that should have been addressed, even a simple email stating what was going on and what steps they were taking. Example: As some of you may know, X was recently placed in custody for a crime. We want to assure you X will not be working at the gym during, at minimum, the investigation. If you have any sosecific concerns or questions please contact us at xxx-xxx-xxxx, or myself the owner at xxx-xxx-xxxx. Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Platinum Gymnastics. One more thing that drive me crazy, the bathrooms were always dirty, they need a full paint, their shop is so sad, the waiting room is tiny and the DOOR, the door y'all! The door to get into the gym from the waiting room is a HOT MESS, everyone knows it and they don't do anything about it. We were there for 6 months and things only got worse month by month. We do think the girls were nice, very sweet! But as far as a competitive gymnastics program, keep looking y'all... this isn't the place.

An "I'm sorry" was not in his vocabulary. I'm very disappointed bc as a business owner he should have said "We're sorry that happened to you, now let's see what we can do to fix the problem." That is customer service 101. The facility is nice and brand new. Should have someone walk thru the girls bathroom midday, everyday, to see if paper towel, soap, and toilet paper needs refilling. The private lessons (1x1) are reasonably priced. I just wish it was better communication when they charge my card on file. I receive an email receipt when they charge my card, and it would be helpful if they had a line or a little space where they could add the reason for the charge.

Fast forward to now, where there is a Ninja Warrior gym I'm the area where all the has been and wanna he's can go and learn, and practice, and grow. The head coach has been on the actual show more than 10 times and I'm proud to call him and his amazing partner friends, and he has built a business around something he is passionate about. He's been a gymnastics coach since we've been young and so he's someone who loves it, not just says it, not just does it. I've seen 2 competitions here so far, multiple birthday parties, and have seen the customer experiences take place first hand. It's incredible how people feel about how well it's organized, how much care goes into everything, and mom's and dad's can trust their kids to improve, spend energy, and in a safe environment that has that cool #spiderman flare to it. There is sufficient parking, occasional good trucks, it's located right off I35, and neighboring a brewery... What more can most people ask than to have a beer and good food in the hot Texas sun while their kids run around and play next door with other kids who aren't even missing their phones or their video games! #ianofaustin approved, excellent local business for fitness activities for children and adults

They do offer tumbling classes even if you aren't on a cheer team and the pricing is very competitive with local gyms. As far as the cheer teams you have to try out around April for the season that runs the entire next basically school year so if you miss that you pretty much have that year to get ready for tryouts for the next year. I hate to give 4 stars BUT I know, or I hope, that I will get to write an update For 5 stars when they move to their NEW location in Hutto behind the Lowes. So... the 4 stars, the viewing area and entry area are so small, there are SO many kids and parents that all arrive at the same time and it's our chaos. The kids for safety reasons need to wait until their class starts to go into the gym so it's very tight, especially when one class is letting out while the other is waiting to go in. But truly has nothing to do with the quality of the program it's just a pain. There are some people that I see even bring their own chairs just so they have a place to sit. But as I stated there is a new location in the works I'm sure they have a grand plan for this issue and I look forward to updating my review when we move to their big beautiful new gym. My other reasons for 4 stars would just be the inconsistencies in the coaching staff. It seems like there are new coaches in the tumbling class every week and my daughter has to explain she knows how to do something each week so she doesn't regress. She's small so they assume she can't do something, so at water break I have to tell her to tell them to let her do it. There are a few coaches that go well above and beyond though and remember every single girl and they must have 1000 girls there. Natalie, Paige, Tour, Chamie, Bella, so many favorites.... One I feel so bad I don't know her name but she's a huge advocate for my kids to get pushed and moved into new levels. They also offer private lessons with their coaches so if your kid needs extra help with tumbling, flying skills etc the rates are very fair for that as well.

At no time was my husband or I notified of an incident occurring at the facility or during art class. Rob McDonald and Whitney Seaton both employees of the Rec facility assumed I was aware of the situation solely based on speculation that my aunt who was caring for my daughter while I was away on business had been able to get a hold of me. The first time I heard from any party was when Rob McDonald called my cell phone to tell me the outcome or determination for my daughter's enrollment in the class. Rob called and stated my daughter could no longer attend art class at their facility. Rob and Whitney did not call us as parents to inform us of the incident or to tell us that you all would need to speak to all parties involved like my daughter or the other party BEFORE coming to a decision. They spoke to the other party ONLY and decided based on that one party. Due to the other party involved being Caucasian and us being minorities this does make the situation feel race related. It does cause my husband and I to feel like there are grounds for a civil suit for discrimination. Not only did you all reprimand my daughter, but you all allowed a white entitled father to also reprimand her. You all failed my daughter and did not keep her safe. Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Dept as a whole needs new procedures and policies in place to protect other children of color from discrimination like what my daughter was subjected to. You all are at fault for how this situation was handled. Young Rembrandts and the Pflugerville Parks and Recreation facility decided based on a "she said" scenario without communicating with all parties involved and doing an actual investigation. Our daughter was traumatized and terrified by the father that approached her. Rob and Whitney continue to word things like you aren't privy to what occurred at the facility entrance and framing things as if he approached my aunt and daughter. Please do not minimize or attempt to downplay what that father did. He walked up to my 8-year-old black daughter, and he said, "Did we have a problem today?" My then terrified 8-year-old responded to him and began to explain herself. This is a situation that no child should ever find themselves in. I will not stand for any injustices. I do not recommend this facility if you are a minority.

It's definitely an aging facility that doesn't boast the latest in exercise equipment, but we have those places around. Here's what I love: $2/hour child care, and it's GOOD -- people who seem to love kids are taking care of them. $1 walking track -- you can't beat that for a walking alternative when it's too hot, cold or rainy. Finally, great programming -- the swim lessons at Gilleland Creek, gymnastics for kids -- again, taught by kind, loving and knowledgable instructors. I really feel like this is a special gem that gives me the warm "pfuzzies" about Pflugerville! :)

For myself and my fiance, the price was excellent- ~80$ a month for both of us. Today I had limited time to workout, so I went to the gym intending to use the Egym. A full circuit takes about 24 minutes, and is a decent workout. I wanted to do 8-12 reps at 80% max for a quick workout, but the machine was locked to a specific program, and I could not change the workout from the app before I started the timed loop. I asked for help from the nearby YMCA personal trainer, and specifically asked if I could change my workout settings to the above mentioned settings. He seemed annoyed that I was asking questions at all, and asked if I had done the setup sessions. I told him yes, but my account was still not letting me change my workout session. I then asked again if I could set my own program to do ~10 reps @80%. He seemed annoyed, told me that the programs were not configurable, and left with the machine on the workout selection screen. I switched to a workout program that was closer to what I wanted and did my workout in that first machine. Since the EGYM is a loop, I looked to my right and saw someone just sitting down and logging in. Im not sure how this happened, as it is supposed to be a timed loop- but the new guy had a 2 minute timer on the screen. At this point I was frustrated by the lack of help and the fact that i was going to have to sit there for 2 more minutes after wasting some 10 minutes with the staff member. I got up, cursed under my breath and started walking towards the free machines as I could set them manually and get my workout done. The staff member who had previously been annoyed with me got in my face and threatened to have me ejected for cursing a single time when no children were present. After his previous attitude for me asking him sinple questions about the EGYM machines, this seemed quite out of place. Certainly I should not have cursed out loud- but this guy getting in my face was completely unprofessional as well. I have canceled my membership and will not be coming back. I can not recommend this location as a gym unless you never need a staff member to help you.
