If you are looking for a place for your kids to take dance lessons and competition dance, this is…read morenot the place. The owner is more concerned about making money instead of caring about your child's wellbeing. There was an instance at an event where the kids were performing and one of the kids went missing. Instead of owning up to it and learning from it, the owner just made excuses. When you sign up for competition dance, the owner stressed unity and teamwork. But when it came down to competition time, she splits up the group if she doesn't think the kids aren't ready. How does that promote unity and teamwork? Also she says that the fundraisers are optional but then ends up charging for it. And she offers discounts for good reviews. Guess we aren't getting a discount. On top of that, they charge for everything...EVERYTHING! If they have a "party", you have to pay to participate. They nickel and dime the crap out of you. If I could give negative stars, I would. Edit to respond to the owner... Thank you for your response, but you have your facts wrong. You did not offer us a refund. We demanded the refund. Big difference!

Dance With Me Austin caught our attention because they offer dance lessons for wheelchair users…read more They're located inside The Domain, and when we arrived, the first thing I noticed was the wall of glass windows. You can see everything from the outside, and I'll be honest, I felt a little awkward knowing people could watch us. Once inside, I noticed several couples dancing with different instructors and had a moment of nervousness, wondering if there would be enough space for us. Then we met our instructor, Johnny, and all of that disappeared. He is an absolute delight. From the start, he made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease. I quickly forgot about the windows and the other dancers. We had plenty of room, and that's entirely thanks to how Johnny guided the lesson. Even though we were doing a shorter intro session, he managed to teach us all the basics to the song we chose. Somehow, it felt incredibly intimate and personal, even in such a large, open space. We had so much fun that we've decided to continue our lessons. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for an inclusive, welcoming place with truly wonderful instructors.

The instructors are beyond talented, but what makes them so special is their kindness, patience, and the way they believe in you even when you doubt yourself. They meet you where you are, and then somehow bring out the very best in you every single time. Over the course of my journey here, I've not only learned how to dance with more skill and grace, but I've also found a community filled with joy, encouragement, and laughter. Every lesson feels like a celebration, and I always leave lighter and happier than when I came in. Dance With Me isn't just a studio it's a place where confidence, artistry, and friendships grow. I'm forever grateful for the love, passion, and family I've found here

This place has been on my radar since I took classes, including zumba, at Gold's gym. Gold's has…read moresome amazing instructors, but alas I moved less than a mile from 24 hour fitness, so I switched gyms. I didn't realize what a huge role instructors play on whether I workout or not. I couldn't get into any of the 24 hour classes. Enter Beat on the Floor. I started off with a six zumba class pass and quickly moved on to an unlimited pass. I've also managed to get one of my good friends to come with me and one of her friends and even my little niece. I love it . Instructors: Loean's zumba and piloxing knock out classes are outstanding! They are fun and really give you a tough workout. Martha's zumba classes are the best! She has the greatest music (including Bon Jovi!!) and I just can't get enough of her classes! Victor's zumba class is super high energy! My feet could barely handle it. The one class that I took with Aish was fantastic! But I haven't seen her back Dely's piloxing workout is fantastic! It's deceptively challenging, but the group in attendance was very cliquey which made me feel a little awkward. I never felt that way in any of the other classes. Everyone is so friendly and passionate about the classes they teach. It really make me want to go forever. Now the con's: Website/Facebook, class schedule, and price. Information on their website conflicts with information on Facebook (class times, classes offered, pricing). They post the schedule daily on Facebook, which is great, but when I originally started going, I was planning to go based on the schedule that was on the website. The website included classes in the morning, but those are not offered. Classes are only offered in the evening and Saturday. The website also included other classes (zumba tone and hot hula), but those are apparently not offered anymore. Which leads me to pricing. $7 drop in rate for zumba and $10 for piloxing is a little higher than I've seen at other places. $36 for six zumba class card, $50 for ten zumba classes, and $70 for one month of unlimited classes (this may have increased to $125 in the last month-conflicting info on website and Facebook, price would include some weight loss challenge and one master class). I'm okay paying $70 to take all the zumba and piloxing I can stand, but probably not more than that. Why? Because I'm limited in the classes I can take. If I can't go in the evening, I have no other options and if I can't go Saturday, no classes are offered on Sunday. Also there is only one class on Friday and two on Saturday; however, they sometimes offer these "master classes" during regularly scheduled class times which are $10 regardless of whether you have an unlimited pass. Again this reduces the number of classes I can take with my pass. Unfortunately, I won't pay $125 if that's the price increase for a new monthly pass which makes me really sad. It's a fabulous place and I'll still come, but maybe not as often.

But now that I've become a mom, and have a mom body, decided I'd try all the Pilates, core, barre you name it workouts in the vicinity of my bubble, and what better way than a quick walk from my office on the days I go into the office. I'm actually a lifetime member so I frequent my gym up north for the fantabulous child care, but pure barre was something I tried recently again with sweetgreens opening and sponsoring a workout class. I've found I absolutely love Pure Barre Define and Empower, these 2 have the core basis of the classic routine, but incorporate more weights and cardio than my prior core workouts of Classic. I am overdue for a classic trial, and taking classes with Rachel (owner) and Margaret have been absolutely lovely and fantastic, uplifting and such a highlight of my day, getting such a good workout in, and leaving just to do it all over again next week. I purchased a pack of credits and appreciate how I can get my classes, which this location can book up pretty quick if you don't book in advance, but the community is solid, and I love the classes are non judgemental, you go at your own pace, and the instructors have hands on adjustments to help you improve, and genuinely keep you here for yourself! I don't feel like I can go anywhere else and not leave high on endorphins and dying from a killer workout lol :) Finally - the fact that the music is everything I enjoy, well it 1000% makes my hour that much more enjoyable and fun. Their playlist is a bop as the kids say these days!

Holy squats! Her class is high energy, fun, and challenging! This should not be a deterrent!! Ana is a wonderful instructor; she's passionate, motivating, and keeps you on your toes. She watches all the newbies to make sure everyone is doing well. She is very interactive and will go to you mid-dance to correct your form and cheer you on. I don't think I've ever had am instructor like her. What's even more impressive (crazy), she teaches 16 classes a week and she never seems tired! I've tried her Zumba class, her 90 minute Saturday Zumba, and her Zumba toning classes and they were all fantastic. I think I'll wait to try the Insanity class until I'm sure I won't pass out. I can't really walk after the toning class, but that's how I know I had a great work out! Classes are $5 drop in rate and $45 for a 10 class punch card (the punch card never expires!). Classes are: Zumba MW 9:30am, 5:30pm, 6:45 pm; Zumba Toning TTh 9:30am and 6pm; Zumba F 9:30am; Zumba Sat 9:30-11. I don't have the schedule so I don't know when Insanity is scheduled. She dances all the time in the living room and I figured this would be right up her alley. First class started on a Friday and my little one was not pleased at all. She was the exact opposite, humiliated, embarassed more like it, and was in class with other that have been there for 2+ yrs. She did not make it through the rest of the class without crying. The instructor and the receptionist were taken back a little on how upset she was. Needless to say, she did not want to go back. I called and ask if I could be refunded the $97 and was told 'No'. She made it clear that never in the years of the business being open have they had a child in tears like that. So then why cannot we not be refunded anything. Okay, I get the $35 registration fee, but I paid in advance an additional $75 to bring my child to a class that makes her cry. I don't think so. I'm not sure if these people actually have children as they suggested I take her to another one of their classes...Oh I want to mention that they advised me only AFTER I paid that they have a free initial class coupon, but it's not on their website, they don't promote it, so it's a hit or miss. I asked nicely to be refunded at least the classes she won't be taking and was told it's not their policy. So their policy is to take your money first, and if it's just not your childs thing then screw you. Not a good way to do business in my opinion.
