Where do I begin? I had never taken a dance lesson except disco dancing in college in the 70's so I count this as a first. I happened to see DWM ads for an intro class so decided to check it out. Adama met me at the front with a very welcoming, friendly greeting. She introduced my intro dance instructor and I was immediately put at ease with her smile and down-to-earth approach to explaining the class, the studio and what to expect. Amanda, A1as I now call her, is the sweetest professional dancer I could be lucky enough to have as my first dance instructor. I have been taking lessons with A1 for nine months and I can guarantee that the main, number one reason I have continued is...A1. She, however, is not the only reason. The studio is actually a family of wonderful people who happen to be excellent dance instructors. Jhinuk is an instructor who knows her stuff. She can teach any dance and you will learn in a fun, no pressure, class. The guys, Johnny, Eyne, Diego and Vlad are all so good, so patient, and so nice to all their students. I watch the instructors and how they interact with their students. It's amazing to me how much they care about their students, each other and the studio. Adama, Ana, and Nisa are so helpful and friendly that I can't help but want to visit with them when I walk in. They run the front and are always willing to help. They are all extremely professional, fun and now I understand why so many students have been coming here for years. It's more than a place to learn to dance. It's a place where you become part of the family. Now back to A1. She's been my instructor since the beginning. She is the best instructor anyone could hope to have but she is much more than that. She has to be one of the sweetest, nicest, funniest, kind-hearted, patient people on the planet. I've never seen her get upset, annoyed or short with anyone...and she's had plenty of opportunities with me. I can't say enough positive things about her. Hear me out... she's the BEST! I brought my daughter who doubted my opinion, to one class recently and she has not stopped talking about the class and A1. She said, "Now, I understand why you go!" She loved the class and instantly loved A1. If you are considering taking dance lessons, go to Dance With Me and take an intro class. You'll be impressed and amazed! read more

From the very beginning the team of Dance with Me has been professional, responsive, and friendly in all our communications via phone, text, and email. Deborah and Kelly were especially kind and patient with me and my million questions. When I did finally take the plunge and sign up for my introductory class I was amazed at my experience! Every single team member that came within a 10 foot radius introduced themselves with a friendly hello, their name, and a warm handshake. When you enter into a new activity, especially one so physical, it brings up a lot of vulnerability. The friendliness of the team at Dance with Me calmed my nerves and invited me into their world. What a beautiful world it is! The ballroom is clean, decadent, and spacious. The sound system is not too loud so you can easily hear your instructor while still (attempting) to sink into the rhythm. My instructor, Johnny, was SUPER kind, professional, and empathetic. He began our session with an initial consultation about why I was there and what I hoped to learn. He is a true coach! Throughout the instruction he would connect what we were working on back to my core reasons for signing up in the first place...so that I could build confidence to attend dance events throughout the rest of the city, alone. It was because of his ability to communicate a long term plan to build that skill base and confidence that I did not hesitate to sign up for a private lessons with him and subsequent group dance classes. Ballroom at its best! Dance With Me - Austin's studio is absolutely stunning and in a great location at The Domain!! It's a very warm and inviting space as well as the welcoming staff. Deb greeted me at the front desk and took the time to explain everything they have to offer; from private lessons to group classes / social parties, as well as opportunities to perform and compete. I scheduled my introductory lesson with Tiago and was not disappointed. We went over the various dances and styles I was interested in learning, and what my goals were. He is a thorough teacher with an incredible amount of dance knowledge, but also makes it his priority to make sure you are having fun. This studio truly caters to the individual. ALL of the instructors here are extremely talented and gives each student the personal attention needed and they work with you at your pace. They are able to accommodate all skill levels from the person who has never danced before (but always wanted to!), to those who have an extensive dance background. My wife and I went to Dance With Me Austin to learn our first dance. We love to dance, but are terrible at it. We are the type of people to accidentally step all over each other's toes whenever we attempt to step out onto the dance floor, so we were in desperate need of instruction. We were assigned Emma. She was very friendly and good at building up our confidence, but that was not what set her apart. Rather, It was her amazing creativity. Like a magician casting a spell, she was able perfectly stream together mesmerizing twists and twirls, playful lifts and intimate moments seemingly out of thin air.The final product was version of the dance that was both beautiful and personal. The fact that she was able to patiently coach a bunch of monkeys like my wife and me to be able to successfully perform it in front of all our friends and family is even more impressive! It was a truly magical moment for us that we will never forget. My wife and I look forwards to doing this dance together again during our future anniversaries. I wanted to learn a new skill that was more social and outgoing compared to my more introverted-inclined hobbies, and took a chance with Dance with Me Austin. After taking their introductory 1 on 1 lesson, I signed up for the Foundational program, and 8-ish months later, am currently in their Bronze program! Though I don't have time to attend their group classes due to my odd work hours, Amanda has been a phenomenal instructor. Despite the harshness I place on myself when I don't do things perfectly, she has been amazingly supportive, and absolutely helped me grow as a dancer and an individual. She is incredibly well-versed in her craft, with a genuine passion for it that she wears on her sleeve. I've become immensely more confident, both in my dance abilities and myself in general, thanks to her teaching. This studio is a fantastic addition to the Austin dance scene. The studio welcomes you and makes you feel like family from the moment you walk through the door. For someone who has danced for a while or enjoys competitive ballroom dance, the level of instruction is outstanding. For those who are interested in social dancing or even those who have been intimidated to try dance classes, you could not find a more encouraging and welcoming place. I completely agree with the previous reviewers. The studio works hard to cater to each person. My dance lessons with Tiago are one of the highlights of my week. He is a great teacher, terrific dancer and talented choreographer who is always thinking about what movement will make you look best. I am a competitive ballroom dancer and recently started dancing again when the Dance With Me studio opened this past November. I have such a renewed love of dancing because of the fabulous instructors there! I take private lessons from Tiago and Adriana, and not only has my ballroom dancing truly taken on a new level, but I have gained more passion, confidence and creativity for dance. The studio itself is not only beautiful (hardwood floors and chandeliers just make you want to dance!), it is also run very professionally and FRIENDLY...I feel so welcome every time I walk into the studio. They send me reminders of my lessons and always work with me on scheduling (I travel a lot so I don't have a "fixed" lesson time). Taking lessons at Dance With Me has changed my life! I now take at least three classes per week and attend competitions, which I never thought I would do. I've had multiple teachers at this studio, and they're all amazing. The studio is my home away from home and my happy place. I would give 100 out of 5 stars if the app let me. Dance with me is not just a regular dance studio, it is home to some amazing people from every corner of the world whose hearts beat a little faster when the music comes on. Their door is wide open to everyone to join the dance family regardless of your level. What a fun place! Awesome dance studio in the heart of rock rose street. I am enjoying taking the group classes, especially with all you can membership. There is a huge variety of classes from salsa, waltz to hip hop. And with the instructors breaking it down and making it fun, its wonderful. I feel like I am learning a lot, and I had no prior dance experience. Not to mention the dance party on Wednesdays that are bumping and with some cheese and wine, its really fun dance social event. This is the place to be if you are a beginner or professional dancer wanting to improve your skills, Johnny and Adriana are excellent teachers, Tiago is always there to give you hints on how to improve, Debora and Kelly at the front make everything so easy when you start and have all these questions and they always have a smile on their face when you come in! It's a great workout and I always have a blast when I come in for my lessons. I wanted to improve my very basic salsa skills, but now I am dancing a little bit of everything! The team at Dance With Me is the nicest group of people you ask to work with; everyone there is so warm and welcoming. Their introductory sessions are amazing, the atmosphere is so fun, and every dance you want to learn is broken down so well. I have been to private classes here for more than a month now. As an introverted guy, I was afraid to dance and never imagine seeing myself on the dance floor. Dance With Me made me feel that dancing is fun and can be learned in a short amount of time. Within a month, I have learned Argentine Tango, Kizomba, and Bachata. Adriana is a great teacher. She taught me things such as the basics of the dance and how to lead my dance partner. Tiago, the manager, is a good observer and was able to spotted things that I can improve instantly. Five stars all around from the quality of instructors, the friendly, warm and welcoming staff, gorgeous facility, down to the cleanliness of the restrooms. I absolutely recommend coming out to try a lesson- beginners with no dance experience are made to feel so comfortable, and the instructors are so talented you will learn very quickly. The selection of classes offered, along with the way they break down and teach the lessons are easy enough for beginners while still challenging the veteran dancer. AMAZING! I have no background or knowledge of dance at all. And yet, I learned 4 dances from my intro class. It's a beautiful studio that is also super friendly. I was so nervous at first, but Jason the instructor put me at ease right away. The instructors are very passionate yet approachable in their way of teaching, so that even newbies like myself can follow along. I highly recommend this studio for anyone who wants to learn more about ballroom dancing.
