Sent my 3 kids there for half day camp today, they came back very unhappy. I thought they would go and play and be active. They advised me they watch minions for 2 hrs, also that the coach was strict and if they didn't listen they would sit out. Guess we won't be going there again. The front desk lady was also not the friendliest when I dropped them off. read more

I attended a party held at this location and the ladies that assisted the party did so with such warmth and professionalism. The kids had the best time and the staff were so attentive. They kept to a smooth timeline transitioning the kids from one activity to the next. Would definitely recommend this place for future birthday parties! Thank you for the great hospitality at your establishment. read more

Great coaches and staff! We feel very at home here. My daughter has learned many new skills and perfected previous ones.

We were trying to find a toddler activity for our son and came across them. We have been twice now and can say that it's fantastic! Our son loved the trampolines, and other gymnastic type activities. We will be going back each week! read more

My daughter has been at AcroTex for 7 months after spending 11 years at her previous gym. AcroTex has been life-changing for her. The coaches truly care about each gymnast... not just their gymnastics abilities but also their character. We love the smaller team where the gymnasts actually feel like they are a team and not competing against each other. The team feels like a family. I cannot say enough about the expertise of the coaches. We love that dance is a weekly part of training and that PT is available at the gym once a week. We are absolutely in love with everything about AcroTex. Our only regret is that we did not leave our previous gym sooner. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. Some instructors are just superb, and some are just horrible. It's puzzling to me how the owners of this place allow the horrible instructors stay. We were lucky enough to be able to move our daughter to a wonderful instructor's class after one lesson with a completely incompetent and uninterested in her job instructor. read more

Love this place, we looked for forever to find a gymnastics and/or tumbling place that was fun, skilled and serious when need. The staff has been available any time I've needed help and they are awesome about working with you to make up missed classes. My daughter has a very busy schedule and has been an issue at other gymnastics place. I highly recommend Acrotex! read more

We love Acrotex! Have had both kiddos in a range of classes. My oldest is on team and my youngest has done recreational classes. They both love camp days too! read more

My daughter has now been on the optionals team with AcroTex RR for over a year and LOVES this gym. We started with a big local Austin gym years ago when she was through rec and pre-team and had to relocate to Dallas where she competed with a large gym with an Elite program gym through levels 3-6. Upon returning to Austin last summer and training for 6 weeks with her old Austin gym, she had such a bad and traumatic experience that she came home and wanted to completely quit the sport that she lives for. Upon a recommendation from a friend, I was able to reach out to get a quick trial to see if we were done forever or needed a new start. She not only wanted to restart gym immediately, but has thrived, trained and competed better than ever before and found an amazing gym home which so many other "refugee" team members have also found over the last few years. Though the team is smaller than other large gyms, the coaching and choreography is EXCEPTIONAL. The pricing is in line with the other programs in the area and team practice takes place in the afternoons/evenings during the school year to allow for team members to attend public school and socialize with their peers if they choose which not all club teams encourage. They also benefit from ballet and jazz classes once a week, as well as a PT that comes on once a week to work with the team. The current owner and head coach is doing an amazing job at continually evaluating and improving the facilities and adding new training equipment. The parent club and parents are amazing and they have exciting and fun team building events throughout the year. WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE AUSTIN AREA. read more

ETA: I've changed the rating, because once management became aware my situation they refunded my money and apologized for the hassle. I'm now happy with the way situation was resolved. My daughter started here in the summer and it was fine. I don't know her summer coach's name, but she had strong control of her group and no one got hurt. You have to re-register in the fall . We couldn't get into our normal 5:45 class and opted for a 6:45 class with a new coach. She started having focus problems that she does not have during the school day or in her other extra curricula activities. I attributed this to the late hour of the class, as my daughter is only 5. Because we couldn't get into an earlier class, we dropped. I paid the month out, because it's no one's fault the class was too late. I paid for a class or so we didn't use and was fine with it. Then I got a call a spot had opened in our 5:45 class. We went to one class. She was still having focus issues. And I didn't see it so I don't know exactly what happened, but I looked down and saw my daughter limping. I went to talk to the coach and he said he didn't see it either but thought she fell on her knee. He told me he missed it because he was working with another student. And I completely understand no teacher can see everything at once. But a five year old having attention issues and a coach who is focused on something else aren't a good combination, so we canceled again. After one class. This time I asked that the fee be waived because I'm not taking responsibility for paying someone to coach my kid and it not going as smoothly as we hoped. I was told they would not cancel her until the end of the month. Forget that most places do one free class anyway. She went to one class on 9/6/17 and because of that either I let my kid go to three classes where I don't think she's safe, or I pay for 3 classes I can't use. There is a good chance I'll pay due to the extortion otherwise known as the credit system, but I'm not going to be okay with it. And I'm going to make sure other parents know my experience before choosing to deal with this company. read more

Wow ! We just had our sons 5th Birthday Party here last month. I can not rave enough about how amazing the staff was. Hope was amazing with the kids. They had free play and organized events. There is a good sized room up stairs for parties and since we had the party in a Saturday we had the whole place to ourselves! Again thank you so much for making this Birthday special and remembered for a long time for us. read more

Love their "Open Gym" days - for $6 my toddler can run around like crazy, bounce, jump, have a blast and I can chat with mama friends! Wish open gym was a bit less money then I could go more often but still is worth it! read more

We go to this location for the mom and tot class. Its the location that had the best time for us (evenings) and an opening. For the price I pay comparted to a Little Gym type place, I am happy with it. Class is 1 hour long, once a week. My little one LOVES it and loves getting to do the same equipment as the big kids. I like that there are no annoying songs or silly stuff to participate in. Her teacher is always fun and friendly, and the kids do a different combo of activities each week. We will continue to go here until she doesn't seem interested anymore, which I don't see happening anytime soon. read more

We've only done the Summer program. My boy LOVED it. This year, all of my boys want to go. Their gym looks like way more fun than the one I used when I was a kid. They have loads of trampolines, really high swings, lots of balance beams and bars, and loads of fun activities. Plus, they go an hour longer than a lot of the other camp programs I was looking at. read more

Very pleased with the staff and atmosphere of the gym. Love the Fun Fridays and the Tumble nights. Daughter enjoys every minute of it. Andrea H. read more

My children have been at Acrotex for 4 years, my daughter was on the TNT Team for 2 years. They made changes that I didn't like and I spoke out about it. I at that point did not consider going to another gym but I feel like I was being lied to, I was asked to keep quiet or my kids were going to be kicked out of the gym. At that point I felt like I was manipulated into silence. So I put my 2 week notice in for my daughter and they kicked my son off of artistic team because they said it was a conflict of interest. I called several other gyms and they said it was no problem if my kids were at different gyms, they are just mad that I took my business elsewhere. This gym is the worst of the worst, my son cried his eyes out because of that. read more

I contacted them through their website and received an email that offered a free trial class. I tried repeatedly to schedule my free trial but no one answered their phone even though I called during their office hours. I called many times and left messages every time. No one ever returned my calls. I sent an email. I finally received a call back. I was told that I could no longer receive my free class because now all the classes were filled. The lady infered that I should have contacted them earlier. I have no idea what the quality of instruction is but the organization and communication at Acrotex is hideous and immensely frustrating. read more

I signed my daughter up for the summer camp and was not impressed. I'm sure the classes are better but the camp was awful. It's basically 5 hours of just kids running wild. I understand that summer camp is NOT the same thing as a class. I did not expect them to teach my child any techniques, however I did expect it to be more organized. They literally ran around for 5 hours. There were no activities planned and the supervision is a joke. I signed her up to give my mother a break but she wasn't comfortable leaving my daughter there alone due to the lack of supervision. Definitely wont be back for summer camp. read more

Acrotex Round Rock is wonderful! We've been there for the fall semester and will be moving away soon. We'll really miss the great coaches and staff at Acrotex. They do gymnastics well for the ability of the individual. They push with the appropriate amount of encouragement and have high expectations. They really seem to care about each gymnast they teach. Can't say enough great things about them. read more

We were at Acrotex RR years ago and left due to scheduling difficulties. We recently returned and it has gotten even better!! While I was never displeased, the 'gymnasium smell' is gone, the coaches are awesome (but they always were), and my kids are improving quickly! love our gymnastics!! read more

My daughter has attended Acrotex for over a year and she LOVES it. She started as a very shy kid and now won't stop bouncing around the house and doing cart-wheels everywhere she goes. The coaches are very professional and the front desk is very helpful. We love the "Parents night out" and "Fun Fridays".... she always look forward to her lessons and the time at the GYM. We are very happy and highly recommend it. read more

My daughter enrolled in the Round Rock location last week of Sept. First they told me that she could do the Tuesday class. On Tuesday they called and said that the class was full, to go to the Thursday class. When we arrived to try it out for our free lesson I was told that there was 1 spot available and two girls trying it out. I had to make a decision right then and paid $35 registration and Oct. pymt. We were placed with a teacher who clearly did not want to be there. She paid little to no attention to my child and at one of the classes even had her little child participate in the practices even though she was not enrolled. At registration I asked to be placed on the wait list for Tuesday's class with another teacher and when I asked about it two weeks later was told that they had called me because a spot had opened up but I hadn't returned their call. I told them that at no time had I received a phone call and if I had, I would've jumped at the opportunity because I didn't feel the teacher we were assigned to was teaching my child. During another class I had dropped my child off and when I returned my child ran to me crying saying that she didn't know how to do handstands and the teacher expected her to do it. At no time did her teacher come to see why my child was crying with me. I had also asked this teacher two weeks into the classes how my child was doing. She responded with a curt "fine". No elaboration. My child has participated in dance, soccer, tennis and numerous other activities and I have never been treated the way I was treated by her. I'm sure some of the teachers at this facility care about their students but the one my child was assigned to did not. I was offered a chance to switch to another class the 2nd to the last week of Nov. but by this point my child had clearly become frustrated and wanted nothing to do with gymnastics. And this was a big change compared to how excited and enthusiastic she was when she first started. I would not recommend this facility Acrotex in Round Rock to anyone. read more
