Jungle movement has been a big win for our three littles. The classes have helped build my 4 yr and 6yrs olds confidence.

I remember coming across JM on what I swear was Yelp, but must have been google when looking for kids places to host events for our mom group, I want to say this was 2018? Anyways, I remember looking at the website and being overwhelmed but was extremely intrigued. I reached out to JM, Matt had given me awesome info, walked me through all of their memberships and such. My son made a few visits and was blown away, said it was the coolest place ever but he was a little young to take full advantage so we hadn't quite joined, just did punch cards. FF to 2019 and we booked our sons bday on their website, Josh followed up with me, asked a few questions trying to personalize it to my sons interests and got me pumped. Let's just his 6th birthday was a HIT, and not just for the kids I saw so many parents having a good time. I've been to kids parties at gyms where we were instructed that NO ADULTS were to touch any equipment or attempt any acrobatics. Not at Jungle! In fact I feel like it's encouraged (safety 3rd though of course). Well it's now 2021 and we are lifers, 4 of us have memberships (including my 39yo self), we are all obsessed!! We spend 3-5 days a week there between classes and open gym. I love that each of my kids can be doing a class while I'm doing my own class! Hey moms... ever wanted to hang from a ceiling? Jump over a wall? Bounce on a good trampoline? Then this place is for sure for you!! I'm 39 and love acting like I'm 19 again. There are so many different ages, body types, strengths and different athletic skills that anyone can jump into a class. After covid I'm pushing 180lbs, I'm slow, overweight and hadn't moved in awhile; now they've got me doing the splits, pull ups, flips all sorts of stuff. The price was hard to swallow but the more each day goes by the more I see the value. We get SO much for our money and I'm so thankful we found our "home" gym. My review is all over the place but overall if whether you are a couch potato, mom, dad, college student , retired, ex HS athlete, or a professional performer, YOU are a perfect fit for the Jungle. All are welcome, it's like a big family, plus your kids will learn so much more than how to climb a wall. Move, Learn, Adapt... join the movement! AhhOooo

I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of The Jungle Movement Academy. This place is very ambitious! For starters, the instructors teach Parkour, gymnastics, rock climbing, martial arts, archery, and all kinds of amazing adventurous things. A few of the instructors have been top competitors on American Ninja Warrior, and you can see that some of the obstacles are built specifically to train for the show. This gym is enormous! There are big trampolines, small trampolines, long trampolines, soft mats everywhere, a foam pit filled with soft cubes, a huge springy gymnastic mat with a basketball hoop. There are rings to swing on that go above the gym, salmon ladders to pull up on, running walls with rock climbing pegs on the back side of them. I tried out some of the new obstacles they are building as well, like a 20 foot Endo board (balance wheel,) that uses tractor tires for the base. All in all this was great fun for the family: me, the wife and my 3 year old. We will be back for the grand opening this Saturday, and of course when the gym officially opens in February!

I was reminded by Sergi to return a farmer's rack to its proper place, which I understand and take responsibility for. Once it was explained, I made it clear that I would follow protocol moving forward. However, what I found unnecessary was the constant follow up through text messages. Even after acknowledging the issue and agreeing to correct it, I continued to receive a second reminder. At that point, it stopped feeling like a simple clarification and started to feel like harassment. On top of that, there is a larger issue with equipment access. There is only one Smith machine, and during my workout it was occupied for an extended period by a trainer and her group. When I raised the concern, I was told by Sergi that trainers have priority because their clients pay both a training fee and a membership. As a paying visitor, that was frustrating to hear. Whether someone is a member or a guest, everyone is paying to use the facility and should have reasonable access to equipment. First come first serve is understandable, but allowing one group to dominate a single high demand machine without rotation makes it difficult for others to complete their workouts. I was told I could ask to work in, which I will do next time, but there should also be some level of awareness and courtesy from trainers and their groups when using limited equipment. Additionally, the ladies made the environment extremely loud, which made it difficult to focus and train effectively. I am more than willing to respect gym policies, but I also expect clear, respectful communication and fair access to equipment in return. Hopefully Mr. Sergi takes a closer look at both how members are addressed and how shared space is managed, because the current approach does not reflect well on the gym.

I've always had positive experiences respectful staff, professional communication, and a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was not the case at this location. Today I forgot to re-rack a curl bar. I normally always re-rack my weights, but this time I genuinely forgot. As I was walking out, an employee stopped me and said, "Hey, is this you?" referencing the curl bar. I immediately apologized and told him it was my mistake. What made the situation uncomfortable was what happened next. He pulled up camera footage and proceeded to look me up in the system, mentioning that I was visiting from California. The speed and manner in which he accessed my information felt excessive and unnecessary for what was a simple oversight that I had already taken responsibility for. There's a professional way to handle situations like this a simple reminder would have been sufficient. Instead, the interaction felt investigative and awkward. I won't be returning to this location. Thankfully, I have access to a gym at my condo complex and won't need to deal with that kind of environment again. I hope management reviews how situations like this are handled in the future, because it doesn't reflect the positive experiences I've had at other Anytime Fitness locations.

Parking is an absolute mess, especially in January/February when everyone's trying to keep those resolutions going. Signing up for classes on the app is a mystifying experience -- I try to sign up a few days early, and the app says I can't sign up yet; then I sign up just before class, and it says I'm too late. So I rarely/never sign up for classes -- this doesn't seem to be a deal-breaker. I am really into dance fitness, though, and if you ever go on a Tuesday evening and see Disney World-style lines wrapped around the building, you know that Jay is teaching "So You Think You Can't Dance." I don't know how to adequately express how wonderful these classes are. Come in whatever mood you're in, and you'll leave with a smile on your face. In my gym going experience, it was/is constantly overcrowded during those times. I signed up for Crunch to be able to take the workout classes - The only time of day where I was able to take these classes were in the evening times. The Legendary Strength class with Coach Blue was by far the most challenging and upbeat class. Highly recommend his class for anyone looking for a tough and fabulous workout! Unfortunately, I took most of my classes with Charmaine. I was really disappointed with my experience in classes led by this instructor. She was constantly off, beat and off tempo, which made it difficult to follow along - especially in a group setting where timing is important. The music was also blasting so loudly over her mic that it was hard to hear any of her cues or instructions. On top of that, Charmaine rarely demonstrated the exercise clearly, so I often wasn't sure if I was doing the movements correctly. Overall, her classes felt confusing and frustrating, I didn't feel like I was getting a safe or productive workout. In my opinion, other instructors in the gym were much better, but my experience with Charmaine as an instructor was constantly disappointing.

But if you come in and introduce the exercises to a class without knowing what muscles are targeted by what exercise, or what the exercise is called, perhaps you might still need coaching yourself. And also the class is waiting on queues to get excited and encouraged still during the whole circuit which I don't hear or see from the new coach. Will I go back? Of course!
