My son has been cheering here for 3 seasons and he has advanced teams each year starting on a Novice entry level team and moving to a Senior Elite team in only 3 seasons. He gets one on one time with the coaches and they truly value him as a person. He has learned emotional control and perseverance by being at Courage and it has truly helped him take in feed back and work harder overall. His confidence has greatly improved and he has conquered a lot of his fears that he previously had. We absolutely love Courage Cheer and Dance! Both of our daughters (ages 3 and 7) have thrived here, and it has been such a perfect fit for them. Where to even start...no Christian morals and harmful to your child's mental and emotional wellbeing. I should've known when checking out the gym the owner Justin began to slander the other cheer gym in town (Phoenix). Fast forward after team selection is done the first month was ok, rougher than expected but ok. Next thing you know the Elite 4 (not even a true elite 4 team) team coach Melissa is screaming at athletes and tearing them down. She told my daughter, for example, and another athlete to quit being stupid and get over it. Yells at the girls "I don't care if you fall on your face, do it anyway", which explains constant injuries. Matter of fact a parent told me at first practice to be careful because injuries are crazy here and they were right. Had multiple convos with owners Justin and Laura who seemed supportive and tried to help but finally Justin said "I will talk to her but it won't do any good" and he was right but they allowed her to continue to coach. Clearly they were too lazy to coach themselves (hardly even helped) and only cares about the money and not the kids. Pulled my daughter from the program because the environment Coach Melissa created was so harmful and verbally abusive and the owners did NOTHING. I unfortunately paid the entire season off upfront so when notifying them my daughter would be removed due to the harmful issue not being corrected by the coach they hired and politely stating due to the circumstances a cancel fee shouldn't be charged they declined, in fact, for the sake of peace I just let it go and wanted to just get the $500 of THOUSANDS they said they would refund and NEVER received it. Here we are over 3 months later. Yes I held off on posting reviews waiting for the final resolution but never came. I have proof of some of the complaints I made, proof of them not refunding because she "can't figure out how", and threats of them trying to slap lawyer fee on me if I dispute. We had our daughter in TAG (Zero Gravity) in Cedar Park but when we moved out to Liberty Hill we wanted to find something that was closer and since the pandemic we had to drop all her classes before. We were a little worried about her starting over and in a new place but this gym and her coaches are super amazing! It is a really chill environment and they have really been motivating our daughter to go that extra mile. The coaches are tough and sweet and overall super encouraging. She has been raving about it in her Summer camp and looks forward to going. We have been very happy with this place so far and highly recommend them! Anytime we have had a question about Naomi's skills they were very thorough and knew what she needed and what to work with her on. The only thing we were unsure of was the sign up procedures and drop off for the first time but everything is online and the website walks you through so it's really easy and to drop off you just tell the coach in the gym and they have them registered on their tablets but again super chill and welcoming environment read more

Beware of bullying amongst the athletes, coach to kids, kids to kids, and parents to parents. If you dare show concern for your child being bullied, you will get ousted by the moms and coaches. My daughter is 6 years old and we started here in the fall. She moved up to level 1 in the spring. She was told by the coach she didn't belong there because she couldn't land her walkover (which she could, but she was recovering from illness). Then we switched teams. She was physically pushed (call it assault if you want), by the head owner woman coach by being pushed in her spine while my daughter wasn't expecting it. The push was so hard my daughter ran out and we had to take a breather, and she didn't want to go back in. The other older girls on the team (one of the team mom's daughters) pushed my little girl into her "spot" even though she knew where she was going. She also got shoved, made fun of, and felt like the team didn't want her. If you want your child crying after every practice, then this is your gym. I emailed the coach about the constant bullying, she never returned my emails. She finally approached me one afternoon at practice in the hallway in front of everyone (which is not the typical place I would have chosen to chat about a private matter). She did not address the email about pushing and shoving my daughter would succumb to every practice. I addressed my concerns with the moms in a team chat and asked for help on speaking to their kids about Kindness. This backfired. They told me to say who the kids were...which I didn't want to but I did. That backfired. They said how dare I single their kid out. These people are crazy over there. Not logical, and if you don't drink their Kool-Aid you will be segregated until eventually you leave. My daughter is an amazing athlete, and it is too bad the service is so bad here that we had to leave to protect our child. NO child deserves this. The ultimate sad part is that my daughter was willing to take the abuse so she could cheer. That broke my heart (talk about a parallel to what happened to the USA gymnasts by blocking things out just because they loved their sport so much). I am sickened. If you want a gym that has a genuine care for your athlete this is NOT your gym. You are just a monthly payment to them. We finished with show offs last night and my daughter was shoved again and missed her que to start routine. This is why I am typing here to warn you of what goes on here. Be cautious. They seem friendly at first, but beware. And if you have a younger talented athlete get prepared for older girls and moms to bully your child out of that gym. There is no support for talent. Jealousy takes over and it is acceptable at this gym. We will be looking for a better gym where my daughter can blossom, feel accepted, and be coached without physical harm. It's such a shame that a place that obviously has the potential to coach winners has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I enrolled my daughter in December, showed up to our first class and had no idea what to do or where to go. Not one person helped us and when I asked where we were supposed to go, the person said, well what class are you in (in a snarky voice). In the 2 months we were members I never ONCE talked to an employee. Her first 2 classes the instructor had an assistant "helping" who basically stared at the walls and helped one smaller kid the entire time. She consistently walked past other gymnasts who were not on task or needed help. The instructor never once came out to introduce herself to us. Come to find out, she is an owner. The upstairs is a complete disaster 24/7 with kids just doing whatever they want. Honestly it's sad because we left Capital to come there and completely regret it. They do have an amazing facility, but now they just need some TLC. read more

Let me start by saying this gym is AMAZING! So are all the coaches! Lauren, Justin, Melissa, Cory etc etc! We moved here from Utah in September and my daughter (who is not a family friend) was put on an appropriate team and guess what??? SHE IS A FLYER! She works hard and is coached by some of the best! These coaches love these athletes and truly care about them while balancing structure, encouragement, strength, technique, conditioning, and instilling good sportsmanship and self discipline. Her confidence and skill are at an all time high! She has learned so much and has had such a successful season! There are so many opportunities to advance at Courage from team practice to private lessons and everything in between! I HIGHLY recommend this gym and all these loving coaches oh and let's not forget the awesome mats, equipment and pit! My daughter LOVES her Courage FAMILY! LOVE LOVE I was trained in Houston, Texas as a gymnast and a highly competitive cheerleader. I moved to Austin where I participated in cheerleading at Lake Travis High School...absolutely none of the facilities when I moved to Austin met my needs. Fast forward to ten years later where I have coached and attended most facilities and this is by far the very best facility I have ever come to know. The staff are kind. The instructors and coaches are more than qualified. These coaches and instructors don't just teach brand new skills they instill morals, values, beliefs, and challenge the children (mine included) I am proud my daughter gets to experience this atmosphere! read more

Didn't know this gym was in Liberty Hill. My kids went to an open gym on Friday night and had a blast. One of the coaches spent time working with my kids on some basic gymnastics and they loved it. They had a great family atmosphere and an even better family discount. We signed both of my daughters up and they have been loving the classes. I took my daughter to try out a class and will NEVER go back. The place was disorganized and chaotic. There was a baby running around the gym area where the kids were practicing, one of the women coaches (I believe she introduced herself as the owner) spent most of the time sitting on the floor while the kids were doing class, and several times it looked like the kids weren't even being watched. Where to begin! Ha! This place is a joke. Apparently it is ran by a married couple? The woman is the dance instructor (who cannot dance at all btw), and the man is the surly rude guy who could not hold a conversation with me without interrupting every two seconds. There was a baby running everywhere.....right where my kid was tumbling should I add....& class was stopped for her. (Professional, huh?). There were only these two coaches and 1,000 kids running around un-instructed. Nobody was learning anything! The kids looked miserable. The lady running the front desk was amazing, so I gave two stars and the facility was nice. But should I mention that the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year? Oh! And the moms upstairs talking trash loudly about other cheerleaders were a wonderful asset. My kid left crying....which was a good fit there, because there were two other kids outside crying as well. Should I mention the free childcare they provide after school? Or the free classes for their favorite students? A mom upstairs was bragging about how her kid gets free classes since she rides the bus after school to this place, and since she does team there. Only certain kids get free classes apparently! When I asked another mom about teams.....I was told that since my daughter is a flyer at her other gym, to give up hope of her flying there because apparently, the fussy moms who whine and cry are the ones whose kids get to fly. Which was obvious during the practice I watched! I would rather drive far away from home than ever go back here. We gave it a month! Worst money I've ever spent! read more
