I was able to do my first dead hang here so definitely a core memory for me. F45 is known to be tough but if you want to really get into strength training, this is your spot. It can seem intimidating (at least it did to me), but once you start, it's really a great full body workout. For me, the timings did not work with my schedule but I recommend this location.

I walked into Heroes CrossFit and after watching the last 20 minutes of a workout, I was convinced I would go to the my first class, (not get rich) and die trying to survive that hour. Here I am, almost 2 months after that and I can proudly say I survive on a daily basis and I can't get enough! SO, If you're thinking about joining, do yourself a favor and give it a try! COACHES: Hands down, they're some of the most amazing people you'll meet, they've proved me I'm capable of more things than I give myself credit for. Every day I learn something from them and EVERY DAY they make me walk out feeling accomplished and proud of myself. ATMOSPHERE: I honestly felt welcomed since I first stepped in. Everyone is very friendly and wearing a smile on their faces (even at 5 am...). The team spirit between athletes is wonderful and as someone who finishes last on a 99% of the time, I am probably the one who gets most high fives and cheers! -wink- BEGGINERS: Even if you've never worked out in your life, don't let it stop you. They have an "Elements Program" which are three one-hour classes and basically get you through CrossFit movements and methodology. 1 Year Review: I avoided CrossFit because I didn't want to get injured or be around a bunch of…read more"brohs". Blind luck brought me to UpReach. In the past year I have HEALED a lifetime of untreated injuries from going there. I'm no longer in constant pain every time I move, use stairs, or even stand up after a period of sitting. I've dramatically increased my range of motion as well, and learned how to do things I'd never thought possible. My overall fitness level is phenomenal. Coaching: I can't emphasize enough the value of the coaching, especially as I have tried out a couple dozen other CrossFit gyms. The coaches here have a well thought out warm-up and cool-down, including mobility and accessory work. They also explain the "why" of it. There is careful instruction and demonstration for each movement of the workout from the best of the best of the best coaches. During workouts there is constant attention and coaching to both increase performance and eliminate the risk of injury. Ownership: The gym transitioned owners about 11 months ago. Every aspect of the gym has improved in that timeframe. Facilities, programs, and culture literally improve daily. The owner actually cares about the outcomes of the members and isn't just there to maximize profits, but instead focuses on the well-being of the members. The members are also really fantastic humans and have become the foundation of my social circle in and out of the gym. This is an incredibly inclusive community that will accept people wherever they are in life. Finding this gym has been the best thing that has happened to me since coming to Austin 6 years ago.

This is Woodward CrossFit's secondary location, opened fairly recently. I attended a specialty…read moregymnastic seminar hosted by one of the Trainers and athletes, Justin. First, the obvious: this is a small gym. Ok, tiny. It is located in a strip mall, and is about the size of a two-car garage, but stretched narrowly. However, the space was efficiently laid out, and had all the necessary equipment for the number of people it could comfortable host. The seminar was very reasonably priced and expertly staffed. I'm a former competitive gymnast myself, with three years of CrossFit under my belt, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn some new coaching cues and even a new trick of my own! Whether this is meant to be a satellite version of Woodward, or a stand alone, it appears to be successful. WWII would be a great place to work out with a small community of supportive folks. They occasionally have free workouts, I would just remind folks to actively seek out modifications/scaling since they can be pretty tough. Ps. When I came in there was only one other there. Wihtin the hour it did fill up. Everyone was courteous of each other, as it should be. It's a clean gym but I wish they had the hand whipes instead of a cleaner bottle and a wash cloth to clean after your use. Worth the work.

The Anytime Fitness at 620 and 2222 in Austin is administratively awful. I cancelled my membership…read moreon November 17 2025, but kept being chased for payment. I phoned the branch and again was told the membership would be cancelled in their system. I since spoke to 3 AB Fitness representatives who told me they would have the account cancelled. It is now end April 2026, I have a debt collector after me, and my account apparently still isn't cancelled. The parent/collections part of Anytime, AB Fitness, now tell me they cannot cancel, it has to be the branch. Noone is ever in the office at this branch. I'm genuinely in despair how to solve the problem of their incompetence, for which I'm the only one paying the penalty. Avoid joining this branch like the plague!!!
