Relaxation area: The relaxation area is in a common area not secluded from guests. It's not intimate. Gessika was perfect. My facial with her was fantastic. Wallace is my go to for massages. They have a new guy that is highly recommended, may have to try him next time! The price for services do not include gratuity but they do add on 22%. 18% goes to the person who assists you. We were running about 10 minutes late, but we called them and let them know. When we arrived, the front desk staff barely said anything to us and just whisked us back into the massage room. They barely welcomed us, they didn't ask about any focus areas or preferences, and it seems like they were not the strongest communicators. We got a very basic massage with a mix of back, legs, and arms. It was not at all a deep tissue massage. It was not relaxing. It was not worth it. I didn't feel anything at the end; like, I might as well not have gotten a massage at all. When we were done, they whisked us to the counter to pay. Again, not very friendly or communicative. There is a sign on the counter that says there is a $5 charge for paying with credit card, but thankfully they did not charge us that. The place is very barebones, like the service. They have about 6 massage rooms. We were the only ones there, and I got the impression there was only more than one staff person there because we booked in advance. I've paid much more for luxury hotel spas experiences, but honestly, Etalon is where I continue coming back. Sara L is my favorite masseuse.
