As a connoisseur of Kspas, I can tell you this place is 5 stars.. Its very chill and low key than Spa World. Very clean... same concept though. You get a shoe locker, and a regular locker. The bade pools are small. One warm and one cold tub... and yes its very cold.. A dry sauna and a steam sauna... I love that the shower areas are enclosed and more private. I was very comfortable to be in the buff than spa world and king. There are two rooms one is yellow ocher room and the other room is salt room. Both provide equal health benefits. As of today the ice room is still closed. The food is delicious. I got a large blueberry smoothie for $6!! I definitely recommend. For $30 its a deal. Day 2 of celebrating my birthday, I decided to treat myself to a much-needed self-care spa day here! There's a $30 entry fee, which gives you access to lockers, a uniform, two small hand towels, three saunas, and a relaxing lounge area. (The steam room was unfortunately down when I visited.) They also have a café and offer additional services like different types of massages for an extra fee. The bathhouses are located inside each gender-specific locker room, and you must be unclothed to use them. One of the massages (only $100) actually takes place in the bathhouse, but I wasn't able to book it because they were fully booked until 7:00 p.m. The saunas were nice, but my top three highlights were: The food! I ordered kimbap and kimchi pancakes, and both were excellent. The kimbap came with a side of miso soup that was sooo delicious! The relaxation area. Staff walk around offering hot blankets to wrap up in. I was so relaxed that I almost missed my foot massage! The foot massage. It was everything and more, and the massage therapist was hilarious! A couple of things I didn't love: they initially assigned me a very high locker (thankfully my tall cousin switched with me ), and we weren't given an overview of the layout when we arrived. Even though the place is small, a quick explanation would've been helpful. Also, I was disappointed the steam room wasn't working. Overall, this is a great spot with amazing food and relaxing vibes. I REALLY enjoyed my experience at Parkside! This is a very small, low-frills K-Spa that is more in alignment with the type of experience I like! It is a much more intimate spa than the King Spas and Spa Worlds of the area but the bang for your buck is chef's kiss. This is definitely not the type of K-Spa you go to if you're doing it for the 'Gram. You go here if you actually appreciate the experience and want to chill. There were a number of very confused/shocked folks here when I visited so I want to make a few things clear: 1) This is a more traditional K-Spa. Bathing suits are not allowed. You will have to be naked in the bathhouse area. 2) Recording in the wet areas is not allowed (and may also be discouraged in other areas). 3) This is a much smaller spa than the aforementioned. The spa, itself, is easy to miss. It sits behind L&L and Garden Social. However, lot parking is free and pretty easy. Here's what to expect: 1) Enter and pay $30 at the door. If you want treatments, pay for those, too. What I learned at my first visit: MAKE TREATMENT APPOINTMENTS AHEAD OF TIME. When I got there around 11, they were booked for scrubs for the day. Don't risk it. I think my scrub was $50-60... this is a STEAL compared to the bigger spots (which don't even do a great job). 2) You'll be given a locker key and wristband, towels, and a uniform. 3) Take off your shoes. Put them in the shoe locker. Bigger lockers corresponding to your wristband number are in the locker/changing room. Changing rooms are single-gender. 4) The wet areas, where you will get your scrubs and bathe are connected to the locker rooms. Again, you must be naked here. You also need to tie your hair up. There's one hot tub, one cold plunge, tons of showers (with soap and toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner), a wet sauna and dry sauna. The scrub tables are here, too. For God's sake, PLEASE THOROUGHLY SHOWER BEFORE YOU USE ANY OTHER WET FACILITIES. 5) You can use the other heated rooms, lounging areas, and grab food AFTER you put in your uniform. It is in the opposite direction of the bath house (there are signs). 6) You will use your wristband to purchase food and drinks and, honestly, you will want to. I enjoyed the food AND the pricing. At King Spa, the food is MEH and it's overpriced. I enjoyed it here and found the prices reasonable. The iced chais were sooooo good. The banchan was good and you get a good amount for what you pay. If you don't know/do Korean food, there's a very basic chicken teriyaki option for you, too. Anyway, I enjoyed myself. It was sooooo nice to just relax. And without being disturbed by the groups and duos taking selfies every 30 seconds and talking too loudly, I was really able to unwind. I'd def recommend! read more

I came here for my birthday and it was the perfect day! Walking in, it's so bright and airy. The staff at the front are sweet and explain everything in detail. It is a $30 entrance fee which compared to other spas in the area is significantly less expensive mainly because this is a small and intimate spa. When we were there, there were no more than 30 people. The facilities are clean and everyone, including the guest, make an effort to keep it that way. I booked a Korean body scrub for $60 and I left feeling like royalty as well as the smoothest skin of my life. Could not recommend this place anymore! read more

One thing I love about this place is that for the amenities you get the price can't be beat. I took my mom for her birthday and it was such a fun mother/daughter experience. From the different sauna options, to the delicious food in the cafe, to the nice little lounge area they had, it was such a great experience. It was great to see people truly relaxing, so much so that there were a few snorers in that lounge lol. Parkside is a great and very intimate Korean spa. It's a small opened business but the owner put a lot of thought into this facility. It's so clean and the prices are unmatched! It's so affordable! So here's the break down... 1.) You come in, pay $30 for admission (unlimited time) AND you pay for any services you may want, like a massage, body scrub ey 2.) You go into the gender specific locker room. Optional: you can go into the nude bathhouse or you can put your uniform on and go to the coed area. *Nude area: There's a really nice steam room, sauna, beach chairs to relax on, a cold plunge pool, and one jacuzzi. I'd highly recommend getting a Korean body scrub. You have your gender body scrub employee do it and they're pretty aggressive and you do it nude on the table. Your skin will be rejuvenated! Also it's so cheap here compared to other places. 3.) Sauna area: This is coed and uniforms. It's such a big space. It's very quiet and the furniture is so clean and comfy. There's a cafe and the food is reasonably priced and there's never a line so they're pretty quick. I love their bingsoo (picture attached). Also the two saunas are very nice, clean, and spacious. You can also get a massage or reflexology. I got reflexology and my massage therapist was so nice and we had great talk. Again, prices are amazing! 4.) Quite pricey for the body scrub, though, but it is the market price in the area. I would say that the body scrub was not that amazing because I had REALLY good ones elsewhere where they scrub harder, which feels deeper. Food's good too, I got the #1 Galbi Tang. The ice room hasn't been open for months. They only have 2 dry sauna rooms and 2 (hot and cold) pool/tubs in the bathing area. The main area is nice and comfy. Lots of space. I think more ppl go here if they're getting body scrub/massage. For the same entrance fee I rather just go to spa world. My key bracelet was really loose so it was a bit annoying. The food tasted home made and yummy. Cashier was sweet and nice. Only complaint was kimbap wasn't rolled well. Once u pick it up it's busted so the fillings were falling out. Worst: they handed us a $281 bill when leaving. I think they were saying whoever used my key before they're balance wasn't cleared? Very unprofessional. Took them a minute to figure it out. I am a frequent flyer as far as Korean saunas go, being from Los Angeles. I was delighted to see a smaller sauna after the sheer overwhelm of visiting King Spa days before. I typically prefer the more intimate, smaller saunas for regular use. So, I was excited to try this spot out, especially when I saw how affordable their treatments were compared to other local spots, and potentially establish my new local haunt after recently moving from the West Coast. Facility: The facility is nice, clean, modern and quiet. I typically like the saunas with the floor mats in the common area but they had, hands down, some of the BEST seating options that were both comfortable and versatile. I liked the women's locker room for the intimate setup. The pools and wet/dry sauna were nice and well maintained. They provided toiletries and even toothbrushes. Food: I did not get a chance to try Mom's Diner inside. But I did get a delicious iced matcha latte at the drink/snack counter. There seemed to get a decent selection of food and the snacks/drinks were reasonably priced. Treatments: I got the scrub/massage combo. Being a new sauna (to me) I was unsure the check-in process since every place seems to have a different methodology. I didn't get many straight answers from anyone. Nobody was around in the women's locker room to direct me where you go or check me in. I wandered around looking for a while until I finally found someone who wasn't entirely helpful or informative. I think there was a slight language barrier, which is fine and understandable. Joanne finally tracked me down for my service. Overall, the experience was good. My scrub was amazing. My massage was good too, but I did find some parts of it painful as I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and mobility issues, resulting in chronic pain issues in certain areas that are very sensitive. I mentioned that I needed to go softer and it hurt, and she apparently found that to be the most hilarious thing ever, and kept laughing. I wasn't really sure what that was about. I probably would opt for trying the foot massage next time. All in all, Joanne was very skilled (and strong-wow!) and I left feeling soft and moisturized. I did enjoy the hair wash in my service especially. My hair has been bouncy and shiny for the past few days since. The showers have insanely good water pressure, and all in all, I probably took about 6 showers from start to finish. I've never felt cleaner. Overall: For a good, affordable and well maintained facility, it's worth a visit. There are only 2 saunas in the common area, which is fine. They also provide warm blankets and throws for guests which was a nice touch. The cold sauna was out of order when I visited. You cannot get decent cell service inside, but they do offer free wifi. I will probably come back, as the facilities are really nice and the price is right. Most saunas I visit comp admission when you get an upgraded service. Parkside does not, so be prepared to pay admission plus service fee. However, the service costs are incredibly low compared to anywhere else, so it's not that bad. read more

I spent my Sunday here at Parkside with a friend to celebrate her birthday. It was both our first times visiting. We called a few days before to book our services. I got the body scrub plus and she got a private CBD oil massage. By the way, I recommend calling beforehand to book a service as there may not be any available times on the day of, especially if it's a weekend. What I loved the most about this spa is the lounge area. There was quite a number of people there on Sunday, but there was plenty of space to lounge around in without feeling too crowded. Now, for my critiques. I'm someone who frequents spas, including Korean day spas, and I can't say this has been my favorite one. It's smaller, which is fine, and I love that the entrance fee is only $30. There's not much you can do if you're not getting a service, but there are two saunas in the lounge area, a cold room that was closed, and the bath house has a sauna, steam room, a cold pool, and a warm pool. The staff outside were all pretty friendly, until I approached the ladies in the bath house who were doing the body scrubs. I scheduled my body scrub for 1:00, and online it says to arrive a half hour before, so I did just that. I let the ladies know I'm here for my 1:00 appointment, and one of the ladies pointed at the clock signaling that it's not 1:00 yet. So, I decided to enjoy the bath house amenities while I wait for my appointment. Now, the time hits 1:00 and I go back to let them know I'm ready for my appointment. I get hit with the biggest eye roll and no other acknowledgement. I'm a little confused because when I get a body scrub at other Korean day spas they are usually prompt and at least communicate with you. I understand that there may be a language barrier, but it's my first time here and no one is providing me with any direction. I see that there is another lady sitting at the side, so I join her, and she tells me that she's been mistreated by them since she got in here as well. I understand if they may be stressed, tired, or behind in schedule, but they could've at least got an English speaking worker to inform us about why there was a delay. These services are not cheap, so the least they can do is communicate with us. I didn't get started with my body scrub until 1:20. Yes, 20 mins later without anyone informing me about anything. Mind you, I'm naked, so I just can't go to the front desk to complain lol. Anyways, back to the scrub. I got the body scrub plus massage, and I've definitely had better elsewhere. The lady servicing me was very friendly and I made sure to give her a good tip, but I can't say this was truly worth the money. In fact, the massage kind of hurt. I wish the scrub was harsher and the massage was less tense. My favorite part of the service was the hair wash. I felt clean from top to bottom. When I got out, I found out that my friend also had a late start to her private massage. No one communicated with her either. That just isn't very professional. Now, regarding the restaurant cafe. They don't have an extensive menu but they do have quite a lot of drinks. For my food, I ordered rice cakes and fish cakes in a spicy sauce, which was pretty good. For my drink, I ordered the Korean rice punch, which I did not like. Maybe it's an acquired taste, but I wasn't able to finish it. I should've got an ade. You usually can't go wrong with that. Will I visit again? Maybe? For a newer spa, I don't expect there to be mold on the A/C vents, which I saw in the bath house. I have been a loyal customer of this Korean spa and sauna since it opened and recently started bringing my 15-year-old daughter. Until this visit, I had never experienced anything remotely close to what happened that day. From the moment we arrived, the experience was uncomfortable and disappointing. The steam room was barely warm and clearly not functioning properly, and the entire facility felt freezing, as if the heat was turned down extremely low. The main reason I visit this spa is for the steam room, so I politely asked a woman working there if she could please check it or turn it up. She told me she was the manager. Instead of checking the issue or offering help, she immediately became defensive and accused me of scrubbing inside the steam room, which I was not doing. I was only holding scrub gloves because I was heading to the shower. Several other customers were also saying the steam room was not working, yet she refused to even look into it. Things escalated further when she entered the shower area and confronted my daughter, telling her she was not allowed to wear slippers. I calmly explained that my daughter has very sensitive feet, and the slippers are clean water shoes she only wears there to protect her feet from the rough mat material. Instead of listening or showing understanding, the manager continued to harass us. As we were leaving, we saw this same woman standing at the front desk with a man, pointing at us and talking about us. She then stopped us and told us not to come back, and the man also joined in and said the same thing. We were publicly humiliated and treated with complete disrespect. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it and repeatedly told us to leave instead. There was no accountability, no professionalism, and no willingness to address the situation properly. I have never experienced harassment like this, especially toward a minor. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic customer service was shocking. No attempt was made to resolve the issue--only accusations, hostility, and embarrassment. I am not someone who normally writes reviews, but I feel obligated to speak up so others are aware. No customer--especially a child--should ever be treated the way my daughter and I were treated. This experience was enough for us to decide that we will never return. Zero customer service. I've been wanting to go to a Korean spa for about 5 years now, and for whatever reason, I haven't found the time LOL But this Friday, after a stressful and busy month, I decided to take off work and go to Parkside! There are two other well-known Korean spas in the area - King Spa and Spa World, but I decided to go here because I thought it would be more chill, and I'm so glad I was right! When you first come in, you check in at the counter and pay the entry fee ($30). You can also book a treatment at this time (which I highly recommend). I knew that I was going to do a body scrub because it is a staple treatment at Korean spas, and I wanted to try the experience. I decided to book the Korean Body Scrub and Massage Deluxe ($130 and 90 minute treatment) since I needed a massage! After paying, you are given a numbered wrist band that unlocks your assigned shoe locker. After taking off and storing your shoes in the main lobby, you go into the women's locker room, where you are given a towel and "uniform" to change into later. The next step is to take off alll your clothes and store everything , including the uniform, in your locker. Then, you go to the showers. I knew I was supposed to shower and wash my body, but I wasn't entirely sure about my hair, so out of an abundance of caution, I did a quick wash of my hair too. The staff was very friendly. They could tell it was my first time, so they tried to make sure to point me to the right next step and explain what to do. With that being said, I am trying to give a very detailed review for other people who are entirely new to the culture, so they will know what to expect (and be able to do the appropriate things). Basically, between each step for me, I just walked to my next "station" and hoped someone would just tell me what to do (which they did lol) So, the next step was to use the sauna or spa. There was a dry sauna, steam sauna, and two pools (hot tubs). The woman who was helping me suggested I use the steam sauna, so I did, and it was super relaxing! Basically, after steaming there for as long as I felt, I came out and then just sat in one of the pools until someone came and got me for my treatment. For the treatment, as a reminder, you are entirely nude. We started face down, then face up, and then lying on each side for the body scrub, which was not oily or foamy - it was just a clean-feeling scrub The body scrub was THOROUGH, especially since it was done with exfoliating gloves in addition to the scrub itself (at least I think they were either gloves or an exfoliating wash cloth). I actually had bits of dead skin everywhere lol I was sent back to rinse off after the scrub and then came back to get another scrub, which was this time a foaming scrub. She also scrubbed my face with a cleanser, including scrubbing my jaw. It felt sooo good, and I felt like she was doing some lymphatic drainage techniques with the face scrub. Then it was back to the showers lol to rinse off all the soap and face scrub. After the shower, we did my massage. There were two sort of phases. The first was more deep tissue and targeted to my shoulders (She asked before if I was having any issues, and I told her my shoulders were tight, so she focused on those for the first part of the massage). She applied body oil for the second phase of the massage, which was more like a Swedish-style massage. Then, after washing my hair and wiping off the body oil, she applied hot rice milk all over my body (including letting my splash some over my face). The final step was to rinse off once more but without any soap (otherwise the moisturizing effects of the rice milk will be lost)! Overall, it was a great experience, and my therapist, Michelle was very nice. I'm a dancer, so I did ask to tell her to leave my foot calluses lol (but, I think they would be largely removed unless you specifically asked for them to be left as I I did). After my treatment, I got dressed in the uniform, which is basically a t-shirt and shorts (they were soft, so I was happy about that), and then I blow-dried my hair a bit (they had amenities in the locker room), so it wasn't sopping wet, and then I went to the common area! There are two dry saunas in the common area, a cafe, and a restaurant (Mom's Diner). I got a cup of tea and some kimbap, both of which were very comforting and tasty, and the portions were big! I relaxed in the saunas a bit and then just lounged around in the common area. There were a lot of place to lie down, and there were blankets sitting in a basket. As a final point, you do not need your wallet in the facility. You can unlock you lockers by simply tapping your wrist band to them, and you just provide your locker number when ordering food - and, you can add tip for your service when you check out at the end of the day. Overall, this was suchhh a fun and relaxing experience - and I will definitely be back! read more

Okay if you have never been before know that there is not a whole lot of direction and the person at the front and the person doing your service may not have English as their first language and there might be confusion If you don't listen to the explanation I'm gonna call out for you. I struggled so you don't have to. They will give you a bracelet with a key and there is a key fob on it. It looks just like a number be advised it is a key fob. First, stop and put your shoes in the locker. You will need the key and it will correspond with the number on your bracelet. There are no shoes worn in the facility. Lock your shoes and head to the locker room. Find the locker with the number on your wristlet. The circle part is a key fob and hold it to the locker and it will open it. You will have a uniform for the common areas and for your service you will be naked. The towels they provide are like hand towels so if you want to cover up in the sauna or steam room you need to bring your own full size. I was not prepared for that. With that being said I was comfortable because everyone is naked and so professional and all the women are just there doing their own thing. I was the only non Korean there. No one cares. Just follow the rules and be polite and you're golden. Shower prior to entering the steam room, sauna, or the pools. They will call for you when it is your turn. I got the Korean scrub and it was awesome. It was so much more thorough than any hammam I have ever been to. I loved the communal salt rooms. I also liked just relaxing on the couches after. Very relaxing experience. I got the body scrub. If you've never gotten a Korean body scrub, cross it off your bucket list. The old man scrubbed my body, crawled on my back and the outcome was feeling relaxed and amazing. The place is very clean and modern looking. You go in, and there's a shoe locker and then given a locker for your clothes. They give you an outfit for the co-ed areas. There are separated areas, then a co-ed area. Speaking just for the men's side, it's nice but small. When I went there were only a few people there, so it was nice. There's one hot bath, one cold bath then two saunas. I only did the bath before the scrub. I didn't see any lewd behavior here, but I did see what appeared to be a couple cuddling. It was all very PG, but its also like, we're in a small tub, naked with strangers....some decorum would be nice. I think the staff should regulate that more. My best bet for this place would be to go off peak hours. Less people and overall less nonsense, probably. But it really is a nice place to just relax. Get the body scrub! I came here on a Monday to work remotely and relax with a friend. It's a nice and clean facility with locker rooms, multiple saunas, cold plunge and a warm bath. Since it was a weekday, it wasn't too crowded or noisy and there's a cafe and restaurant on site so we stayed the whole day. We split the bibimbap and galbi tang, both were really yummy! I also got an hour long deep tissue massage and my muscles were much more relaxed after. One of the smaller Korean spas in the DMV, Parkside checks the boxes for me in a Korean spa. The women's locker rooms have a sauna, steam, and two pools- one hot and cold tub along with showers. They are more traditional than King or Spa World, meaning no bathing suits in the pool areas. I recommend the Korean scrub and massage. It's an aggressive scrub that left my skin so smooth. The massage was intense but worth it, my muscles were so relaxed when I left. The women for the most part speak little English but they're generally nice and helpful. If you're looking for a No frills Korean Day Spa, this is it. Weekday Wednesday visit, here we go: 2 Poultice Rooms (the ice room wasn't working when we visited). Small bade pools (one cold and one hot in the women's). Common area is large and spacious. Limited amount of services: I didn't see any massages, just body scrubs. Food there were about half a dozen items on the menu- ramen, kimbop, bulgogi, etc. We did not try anything to eat and opted to just leave early and eat elsewhere. Hair bar (entrance of Parkside) was open, but the nail place was closed and there was a "now hiring" posting there. If we're looking at comparing it to the other two Korean Day Spas in the area, I would say it is new for sure but smaller than the other two spaces. Place is new and modern. *Part 4 Finale* 8/31/23 The snack place called Mom's Dinner was closed on Tuesday. The other area was empty of staff, but if I had wanted something, help would have come. Since I did not lay down on and table for a body scrub or have the technician touch my body to start a scrubbing/massage, I was able to request a refund. I suspect some staff members weren't happy about doing the refund, but they did give back the $60 in cash. I heard one lady employee say something and the tone sounded hostile in her native tongue. Whether her comment was directed at me while talking to the Manager Mr. Hogan, I can't not say for sure. Nevertheless, this place was okay, but I have nothing to compare it to except Hani Joa Day Spa/Zen Heaven Day Spa. Both of these places are now permanently closed. I also can't compare the two because I didn't get the body scrub which is primarily what males get at Hani Joa Day Spa. Oh yeah, and about ten minutes in the sauna before the scrub/massage. So I won't count those businesses. I left the places and completely forgot about the key band I was wearing. As I was starting to head home, I remembered I was still wearing the arm band. I turn back around and returned the key. Mr. Hogan seemed pleased that I return the key after we both had forgotten it. Update: 8/16/23 The next day after cleaning my feet from the day before, my feet felt like they were burning while at work. I ended up buying antifungal foot spray to help eradicated any possible foot infections. If I ever go back to Parkside Spa&Sauna, you can rest assured I will be wearing foot gear regardless of the rules. In the mean time I give this place four stars, but advised, YOU SHOULD take precautions if you do come here. 8/21/23 Oh, and the guy that would have been doing my body, hopefully he will be there the next time I come back. I know I want the experience of the body scrub and/or a massage... maybe both. This is what will probably bring me back for another go at Parkside Spa&Sauna. This place is a secret gem. Always clean and much less crowded than other spas in the DMV. Although I do recommend visiting on a weekday. There aren't too many saunas if that's what you're looking for. But they have the Korean body scrubs here and the ladies always do an amazing job. This is a brand new Korean spa behind the K Market and Taco Ssam in Annandale. I went last week around 8 pm while they have a grand opening promotion until the end of May for an admission fee of $30/person. We asked the man at the front desk if the cafe was still open. He nodded yes, but unfortunately, once we got inside, the cafe was closed. I'm not sure if he just didn't understand what we were asking or he didn't know. The lady behind the counter was nice enough to still make an iced misugaru latte (3/5), but we were really looking forward to the food. Nonetheless, once you enter they give you a key and you place your shoes in a locker. The locker rooms, right beyond the check-in desk, are where you change into the provided spa clothes. The electronic bracelet you also receive at the front desk is to open and close your locker. The common area is quite large with many sofas and mats to lay down. However, there are only two hot rooms at ~162-165 degrees (the ice room is not open yet). For the pools inside the locker rooms, you have to shower and remove all your clothes before you go in. Overall, the common area, hot rooms, bathroom, and cypress sauna room are very clean, however, for just having the 2 hot rooms and 1 ice room I'm not sure it is worth the full admission price ($40). read more

A cold plunge and warm pool, a steam sauna and regular sauna, and an assortment of different temperature rooms with different benefits. I would not recommend this spa at all. The staff here is extremely inappropriate. I arrived for my first visit to this particular spa around 12:30pm. My first issue is the woman employees inside of the women's locker room stare at you while you are naked. Also there is a sign clear as day, that says "No cellphones allowed). The employee had her cellphone pointed in my vicinity while I was naked. That is highly inappropriate. In addition,I requested a 60min relaxing massage. The gentleman at the front desk asked if I'd be ok with a male masseuse (that was the only person available, and I was pressed for time) So I said sure. (Thinking I've had a few male masseuse at other spa's, and felt comfortable, so this should be fine.) Well I was wrong. The male masseuse was rough (not a soothing massage) and made me uncomfortable during the service. He asked me if I was married?/ Focused on massaging my glutes for an unnecessary extended amount of time./ At one point he squeezed my thighs and moved his hand to close to my front private. I pushed his hand away and told him to stop. I went into survival mode/ shock. I left feeling super uncomfortable and in disbelief that this happened. I made the manager aware of my horrible experience. He was very nonchalant and gave no apology etc. I told him I will never return, but wanted to make him aware of the inappropriate mishandling of customers. He didn't care. This was my first time visiting this spa. I usually go to Sunday Spa every 3-4 months and have been to several other spas in Virginia. A friend recommended this place, so I decided to give it a try. I booked a 90-minute body scrub and massage for $180, including the admission fee. I arrived at 9:15 a.m., and the receptionist informed me that my service would start around 9:45 a.m. The facility is clean and spacious, but nothing particularly special compared to other spas. The hot pool and steam room were just okay. Once the scrub began, I noticed the therapist was not scrubbing my entire body. I tried to tell her to be more thorough, but she ignored me and instead started chatting with her coworkers. By 10:00 a.m., she abruptly told me she was done and directed me to take a shower. I pointed out that my back was still itchy and my neck hadn't been scrubbed, reminding her that I had paid for a 90-minute service and there was no need to rush. However, she dismissed my concerns and kept telling me to "relax." The massage that followed was just okay, but it was quite painful. Despite paying for 90 minutes of service, I was finished in under an hour. Overall, my experience was very disappointing. I will never return and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If I could give it zero stars instead of one, I would. read more

We'll, before going be sure to read and understand bath house'. Received a gift certificate from my kids for Mother's Day so was going. I arrived, was handed an uniform and bracelet fob n key. First, you put your shoes in the front locker. Then proceed to your gender locker room, get naked and take shower, then proceed to saunas-hot pool, cold pool, dry sauna or steam shower. I decided upon the hot pool-no bubbles like a jacuzzi just bearable water. Felt good until I noticed hair floating around n needing to get out. Have to shower again. Cold pool couldn't bare a complete foot, so dry sauna I was in maybe 5 minutes. I read all the warnings n signs inside before leaving. Since the hair incident and thinking about sanitary decided not to sit anywhere. Next, steam sauna -good but much warmer and had to catch my breathe too steamy n hot. I lasted maybe 5 minutes. Now it's 11:20 and my oils were brought in. I was sitting on the tile area 'naked' and waiting my turn. This is not your " massage envy" massage with towels, nope in the bath house is where everything is. All showers, saunas and massage tables. You must accept being naked or this is not your place. I'm not your average petite woman, but others inside explained or showed what you do. Massage-I've never been in pain , like I was yesterday. The lady had found knots and was pushing, kneading and applying pressure on legs, thighs, calves, arms and back. I started to think they weren't knots of tension or muscle but fat deposits ( so applying this pressure or pain) was not going to solve it. She needed to stop. She used 3 different oils and pressure tools (ball, rolling pin and scraper-at least that's what each felt like)., hot towels, cold face mask & scalp wash/massage (my favorite). After the hour long painful massage, take another shower 3x wash ups-covered in oil that beads off any water. Dry off ( wash cloth size towels) and proceed into locker area to put on uniform. Told to go get tea/coffee in cafe-no shoes required but I wore my socks. I got an expresso n ice cream, relaxed in large couch, mat tv area. There are lounge chairs, mats, 10-12 long couches and 2other saunas. Relaxed 30 minutes and then got dressed, put towels n uniform in bins, got shoes, paid for coffee and left. Whole experience: arrived 10:40-2:00 $130 Grand opening admission fee $30 doesn't go towards any services( bath house usage)? Not sure if I'd recommend, but it's definitely an experience. read more

I had an extremely uncomfortable experience at this spa where they gave me a blue "boys" key and they wouldnt exchange it or let me go in the womens area and all the other patrons stared and whispered at me while the staff refunded me in an angry huff because "my ID says male." I only drove out to this spa because their website says they respect the gender identity of patrons. I am uncomfortable bathing with men because they stare at my breasts or sexually harass me. read more

The spa was very nice and clean and the staff was friendly. This is a very nice getaway to relax if you live in the area. For a full day pass it's only $30 which is amazing for a quick self care day. If you don't like being nude in the steam room area this spa may not be as relaxing for you. They do have treatments you can get like massages and scrubs. This place is phenomenal. I was one of the first people there and I was greeted and welcomed immediately. I was a bit confused on what to do and with a language barrier, I fumbled around and found my way. This place is VERY clean and a towel out of place was attended to immediately. I loved the silence...free of talking!! The music was low and soothing. My attendant asked twice during my service if I felt ok. Prepare yourself to be pushed and guided without verbal prompting due to the language barrier. For those who have had less diverse experiences this may be seen as rude but in my opinion was not. Just simply belong you receive a good service. I had a body scrub and massage..my body has never felt this clean in my whole life!! The massage was hard but o figured,the woman worked to scrub the pain from my ancestors off my skin so it'll be just fine if she massages me according to her ancestors. Been to other spas with constant loud chatter and people with just general bad etiquette, so this place tops for ambiance and environment. Lisa did my scrub and she was awesome. I went here 5/7/22 during their grand opening. It was a rainy day and thus perfect for a spa day. The admission was $30 and that includes the spa clothes they give you, a key for your locker, towels, a gender specific bath room, and a neutral area for lounging, eating, and two hot rooms. They were still working on getting the cold room ready. When you check in, they give you a key with a number of your locker for the day. This is a no shoe place. You have to remove your shoes at the entrance before you go into the locker room. Your wrist bracelet has an electronic sensor that opens and locks your locker. You have to change into the spa attire to go into the general area. They have a cafe and a cafeteria. The bathing area has two small pools, one hot and one cold. You need to remove all clothes before you go in and you should shower before you go in. There is a steam room and a cypress wood sauna room. They offer body scrub, body and foot massage here as well. The location is not well known yet, but it's where k market is. There are plenty in of parking up front. read more

Not to mention the yummy homemade Korean food at the diner and the drinks at the cafe~ I tried the iced misugaru latte that they had and I was surprised by how good it was!
