Hey yall, I TRAVELED 30 mins outside of DC, just to come visit SPA WORLD! I contemplated between here and SPA KING which isn't too far from here! The price difference and the amenities got me!! Spa world $29 on Groupon for a 12 hour experience with 7-8 rooms, and the full spa bath area amenities super worth every dollar and min! Time goes by sooo fast when ur having a good time! Got there at 2pm, stayed till 8:30pm! Had a ball. The spa king was $100 entry for the spa amenities but it's really pretty big and nice inside there and I wish to go before my trip is over maybe or next time I come into town! Anyways, what I liked, the price and what you get, it was fairly decently clean and the people were nice! What I didn't like, they are strict lol they must had been watching me on camera cuz 2 staff came up to me to tell me put my spa clothes on and or don't talk on the phone in any of the rooms people are in, otherwise I'm happy with my first time experience! I've been coming to and loving the relaxation of Spa World since they opened--more than 15 years--and I'm incredibly disappointed by how much the prices have increased while the quality and customer service have declined. The bade pool has always been one of my favorite parts of Spa World and is normally around 95-98°F, a comfortable temperature for soaking before a Korean body scrub. Today it was hovering between 102-103°F--essentially hot-tub temperature. Even the kiddie pool was too hot. In the middle of a D.C.-area heat wave, who wants to come inside from 90+ degree weather and soak in 102-degree water? On a Sunday, the usually busy bade pool was practically empty, with people instead hovering around the ice plunge because there really wasn't a comfortable-temperature pool to use. I let the attendant know and another staff member. No change. This is especially frustrating because you're supposed to soak for about 30 minutes before a body scrub to soften the skin. I couldn't comfortably do that and had to use the showers instead. Management showed no interest in adjusting the pool temperature or otherwise addressing the problem. I was still paying the now-$150 price for my 50-minute spa special scrub. I simply asked that they refund my $25 admission because the primary facility I came to use was essentially unusable. The manager looked at me like my request was ridiculous and refused and insisted the temperature of the main pool fluctuates. (Of course it does, but NOT THAT HOT!) After more than 15 years as a loyal customer, it's astonishing that Spa World would rather lose me as a customer than address the problem or refund $25. I won't be back. read more

the sauna area was nice, everything else was alright. i won't be returning though purely because the guy at the front desk had the craziest attitude. acting like me and my family were idiots because this was our first time here and we had very basic, general questions. every single thing he said was sarcastic and just overall killed my vibe. why even work a front desk job if you clearly cannot deliver basic customer service. i wouldn't recommend this place purely based off the customer service. read more

THEY ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH OTHER LOCATIONS! Now that I have that out the way. Let's dive in. This location is very very small. I was shocked how "intimate" it is. If you're used to Atlanta amd Houston location please lower your expectations. You have to schedule service before you go in. I wasn't aware if that so please be mindful. They also take your shoes before you go back. My mind was blown. Once I got back it looks the same except the pool area is massive with cool jet powered pockets. If you forget something there is a purchase price instead of gratis. Like toothbrush, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. Interesting that you can wear swimsuits. I didn't have one because I thought they weren't allowed. I was a bit disappointed in my scrub but I think it's because it was moved up, shrle came looking for me, she was irritated, I was annoyed, she asked for a tip 5X and I kept saying "No". I did use a GroupOn and that was dope. I would definitely use again just for the 30 min massage alone. Kim was amazing! It also got moved up 15 mins. It has a traditional layout as other locations but they have 3 upstairs spaces for massages, gym, and smoking. The resturant was closed while I was there so I set up myself up for some $9 Ramen. Yeah, I know. Stupid move. I was hungry. Although, small they tossed in a few couches and chairs. There's 5 rooms with temperatures listed. I thought that was cool. May absolutely favorite was the CLAY room. Its so fun and different. I went on a Monday to avoid people but it was still pretty busy. In January 2026, I slipped and fell on a wet floor in the women's changing/restroom area at Spa World. I suffered three fractured ribs, a traumatic pneumothorax, and an elbow laceration, required emergency treatment, and spent three days in the hospital. I was unable to work, lost income, incurred significant medical expenses, and continue to experience pain more than six months later. There were no warning signs, barriers, or floor mats to alert customers to the hazard. I contacted Spa World in June, with my medical records. They acknowledged a receipt, but I have received no further response or resolution. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of adequate safety measures and the way Spa World has handled this serious incident. read more

First time checking out Spa World in Virginia. I've been to the one in Baltimore, but sadly it was permanently shut down. I read the bad reviews before going, but I'm going to base my opinion on my own experience. I like that they offer discounts for seniors. My mom's admission was $35 and mine was $45. This is definitely very affordable, and for someone who cares more about the benefits rather than aesthetics or Instagram photos, I think it's worth it. I can see why some people say the pool water smells musky. It does seem that way a bit, but honestly, I'm not sure if it's just because the water is warm. The spa treatments are pricey, but it's understandable. The staff could use some hospitality training. The girl at the front desk was nice, but the guy could definitely use some training. The food is affordable and the portions are huge. I got bibimbap for $16 and shared it with my mom, so it was definitely worth the money. I would come back again, especially on my birthday, because they have a promotion for free admission if it's your birthday. They also have a bunch of other promotions that I don't remember, but they're worth checking out. Really wish they would open one in Maryland again. read more

My updated review. So much better than my first visit. A lot has changed . So im break it done. Foremost, go on Groupon and get the deal for Spa World. Its like $26.75 . Its free if you go on your birthday! Now being in the buff is optional now ! Ok after you paid. You get a key bracelet assigned with a locker number. You get 2 lockers. One for your shoes another for your stuff. You will need to bring Flip flops, extra socks. Bring your personal items like shampoos, scrubs etc. Bring a book or headphones. Bring a swimsuit. Bring facial sheet masks etc. They sell it hear too but for $5 each. The bade pools are separate. Their are different tubs by temperature. I recommend jumping in the cold pool. It's cold at first but just do it. So many benefits when you go into cold water. Their are saunas on i could last more than 3 minutes. I would have turned into a strip of bacon. The poultice rooms... their are so many. But my favorite is the salt rooms. So many benefits. But my top pick is the red clay ball room. The Cafe has a juice bar and inside is a restaurant. I got spring rolls and I didnt like. Also there is a long wait time . Please plan accordingly. You pay for things with your numbered bracelet you'll pay at check out. Visited here for the first time with friends and it's not my favorite. One person did comment to me "don't let today be the sole judge of this place" but right now that's all I have to go on. First, it was extremely crowded. By the time we got there around 10 AM, there were no treatments available until after 6 PM. We luckily got a holiday package so each of us only ended up paying $28, which isn't bad. No sandals. Luckily I had read this online and we brought our own but if you're taking my shoes at the entrance, you should give me something for my feet. Everyone must wear their uniform. I find that kinda weird. I like that it's offered but I felt like I was in a cult. Every poultice room was packed. Like, some people were inappropriately sprawled out taking up a lot of space, but even if people were mindful of the small spaces there was not much room. No mats in the poultice area. We luckily snagged a few to share but what a weird concept. There should be more natural spaces for lounging. All of the chairs were filled every time we checked. Extremely long wait for food. We got in line at 11:15 and were told they had too many orders and everyone should come back in 30 minutes. When we did come back, we waited in line for 20 minutes and waited 30+ for our food. Items out of stock. The juice bar ran out of tapioca pearls for their boba but there was no sign so after waiting 20 additional mins in a separate line, nada. They also didn't have ice cream that was on the menu. And their "smoothies" are made with sweetened flavoring and not real fruit. The ladies working the juice bar at were not the best at customer service. Pool was packed. We couldn't even go into some pools because they were so full. I never got to use a personal jet. And it was sooo loud. Got yelled at three times. Once for taking a picture of my kids on chairs and no one else in the photo but apparently it was a no photos area? Next because I yelped loudly getting into the cold plunge pool. And then when I took more than one towel--I was grabbing one for each in our party who were showering. But let's talk about these towels--they are HAND TOWELS and you are expected to dry your whole body with them. One towel. No more. Dated facilities. Also, it's an open concept so if you aren't comfortable undressing or showering in front of others, recommend another facility. Minus the food/drink situation, we had a decent time. There were a handful of relaxing moments when I was able to find a room that wasn't packed to the brim or a pool where I got to close my eyes and breathe. I'm giving it two stars not because of poor management or anything that the business is doing wrong, but only that when I go there, sometimes I am approached by gay men who seem interested in knowing me for a sexual liaison. This is not the fault of the people who run the establishment, and I have nothing against gay culture, but I am married with children and when I go to the sauna it is for experiencing the benefit benefits of the hot and cold water and dry and wet sauna experience. For over 30 years I have been using the Korean sound system mostly in Korea where it is not a place for rendezvous's or something like that but totally mainstream with everyone welcome but not as some kind of dating site or whatever. When going to the sauna and showering numerous men observe you and I've had as I mentioned several over the period of years here and there approach me to find out if I would like to get to know them. I'm not sure if many other people have found this to be the case and hopefully not and hopefully my situation is an outlier. If other people do have similar experiences, I would recommend wearing a bathing suit going into the pools which might possibly reduce the attention that one might have otherwise. My friends and I got a good deal on Groupon and paid 24.66 per person for Spa World. We stopped by around noon this past Memorial Day and spent about 6 hours relaxing at the spa. However, I would not recommend paying Spa World for the full price. This isn't a luxury experience. It's very hole-in-the-wall, no frills but has all the basics. After checking in, we were given a wristlet key with a number on it, which we could use to access lockers and to pay for food and luxury spa treatments. We also got a set of spa clothes to wear in the common area. The clothes we got looked like they've been through a lot. There were at least 5+ holes on our shirt, and my friend pulled a long black hair out of her shirt that was definitely not hers. We spent a couple hours in the gender-segregated area, which is where all the hot tubs, steam rooms, and some of the saunas are. Nowadays, we don't have to be butt naked and can still enjoy these facilities with a swim suit. While there were a good amount of people at the spa, we found our own space without feeling too crowded. Each tub and room had a temperature sign which was nice. The common area was on the smaller side with not a whole lot of seating area. We could grab mats to lie on the ground and take a nap, but I found the mats to be old and not a good support for my back. There were several sauna rooms, but most of them were pretty full. My personal favorites were the Red Clay Ball room (which was a nice place to lay down and watch KDramas in) and the Salt room (probably because it was completely empty when I was there). We ended up getting food at the cafeteria since we were hungry after a few hours. I don't think the food is worth it at all. The pricing is extremely expensive, and the quality was lackluster. I got the SEAWEED AND BEEF SOUP for 16 and it had maybe 3 pieces of beef in there, some seaweed, then very watery and flavorless broth. Overall, it was still a relaxing experience. My friends and I made the most out of it. This is incredibly barebones for a spa, but it gets the job done. read more

I've been coming here for probably a decade now and I still love coming here. King spa is really good too but it's expensive. Make sure if you come here YOU GET THE GROUPON! The Groupon is literally held the price if you just walk in. This is the perfect spa if you are coming solo or with the same gender AND if you're comfortable being nude in the bade pool. It is totally optional to go into the bade pool but you get the best experience with the hydro therapeutic jets in the nude. The saunas are coed and you have to wear the uniform. The food is also good and reasonably priced. They definitely have upgraded their menu. I like to get the yakisoba and the sushi! Yum! The staff is really friendly and I highly recommend coming here. This remains my "go-to" place to retreat to and reward myself right after I've lined up and completed back-to-back appointments with my longtime massage clientele that's located ALL over the D.M.V. (DC/MD/VA) area. The staff is always attentive and welcoming, and their many amenities continue to contribute to the overall "escape" atmosphere that MANY of us need to indulge in on a regular basis; Had I lived in the state of Virginia, I'd surely be a regular at Spa World! Instead, I religiously use this massive Korean spa establishment as a way to end any and ALL of my trips to our nation's capital with a long-sighing-smile. I've been here so many times but it's dirtier everytime I come. 1) they don't make ladies tie up long hair in the baths so you'll often find hair in the water. 2) there are bugs in the common area and the floors are often sticky. Not sure how often they clean them. I was casually reading when I see a cockroach just walking by my mat. Gross. 3) they often run out of stuff. They didn't have any more tapioca for the bubble tea but also refused to give another replacement of topping for free. Any added services like a massage or scrub would cost money, but entry to the spa is free with a valid id on your birthday. They are separated by gender and nude optional which is very traditional in Korean spas. You do have the option to remain in a swimsuit if you choose. They provide a a matching top & bottom set, robe, slippers, and a locker with a key for your belongings. There are a handful of saunas (co-ed), as well as a gym for use. The individual gender rooms has a large heated pool with hydro jets and several smaller pools with various temps. It was an overall a fun experience but it feels more budget friendly and some of the spaces are a bit dated. read more

Bad experience! I had a gift card with a significant balance that I received a few years ago. When I visited Spa World and presented the card, I was told that they no longer accept it. This was very disappointing. In addition, the staff member who assisted me was unfriendly and rude. I am also concerned about the gift card policy. The gift card was issued by the business, but years later I was told it could no longer be used. I am not sure whether this complies with applicable gift card laws or consumer protection regulations, but it does not seem fair to customers who paid for and relied on these gift cards. Spa World is a great alternative for those who are looking for a spa experience but on a more cost effective option for a day trip. If you use groupon, it roughly totals around $25-27 dollars and that's 1/3 of the cost compared to other neighboring spa places! I went on a Saturday afternoon where I spent majority of my day there. After checking in, you get your own set of Spa Uniform ( I think it's only one size ) and your locker key. There's a shoe locker where you put your shoes in first and then you walk down the hallway to the main locker room which is where you store belongings and change out into the spa uniform/go to the hot tub section. Korean Spas tend to have separated gender hot tub sections so this is nothing new compared to other places. Nudity is an option but people wore swim trunks and that's honestly okay. What I like about the hot tubs/sauna/cold plunge sections is there is a temperature reader that explains how hot or how cold the current water is. It's good to know before you randomly jump into a section and you immediately want to get out because it's not the temperature for you. My only real complaint is just how packed it was, there's just a lot of people waiting to sit down at one of the seats with the water jets or shower heads that had pressure that could be good for a hydro massage. Perhaps I went at peak hours but your mile my wary with non busy days. If you decide to skip the hot tub section and change into your Spa Uniform, walking out leads to a Co-Ed area where it's essentially a hub to meet with everyone else and enter the various sauna rooms featuring different rocks like Clay, Amethyst, Charcoal, Mud, ect. The rooms are flat and there are benches to sit down but you can't really enjoy laying down if there's no pillow or cushion. There's also a food section where you can order drinks/desserts and a smaller section if you want to order food. The food features various Korean dishes and if you are familiar with how you get charged to your key, it's the same where you pay after checking out at the end. I did get the Dolsot Bibimbap which is Bibimbap served in a sizzling hot stone bowl, it was light and refreshing to eat. It's my go to bowl if you don't know what to get and it's just full of vegetables too as a healthy option. You do get some banchan too along side miso soup. I don't think many people mentioned this or noticed but there is a gym to the left of the food section and you have to go up stairs, so this seems like a new addition from what others have told me. Personally this is a big plus for me because I like to make use of my time and while I'm spending hours sweating in a sauna, why not also burn some calories. The machines are dated but they work. I was able to run on the elliptical for an hour and I am honestly shocked that I did not wear socks so it did hurt a bit; that's on me. I honestly was surprised at how much my experience elevated because of the gym and I hope they improve it. For a day trip, I think it's an absolute steal to go if you have the groupon deal. You get what you paid for, but Spa World does offer a lot in terms of options. If you do plan on going there, do make sure to bring your own lotion/soap/towel. Showers only have shampoo and there's not really much at the sink. The towels they give you are very small so best to bring those for a better experience. read more

First time for me at this type of experience, and may I say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Perhaps even moreso due to it being free as it was my birthday (show your id and you get free general admission, if you utilize the restaurant, massages, juicebar and other add-ons you have to pay for that). I only went to the poultice rooms and starting off, those were incredible. The other sauna areas are connected to the locker rooms and separated by gender as they are nudity optional. I will say I learned that when given the opportunity to be nude, it appears that most people will be, and very comfortably so, so fair warning. Before entering the poultice rooms you change into the uniform, which is very comfortable and available in all sizes. There were a plethora of rooms, ranging in temperatures as well as material. From the 160+ degreee red clay room to the salt room that made you feel as if you were inside of a salt lamp, or even the red clay ball floor room which made you feel like you were in a warm fun ball pit for adults, all were incredible. The entrance doors all have a window so you can see how much space there is inside before entering along with the temperature posted above. In addition to the hot rooms, there was a cold room which felt incredible after sitting gin all that heat In the center they are all connected by a common area where you can lounge in teh chairs, grab some mats and cushions and lay on teh floor, enjoy the juice bar, restaurant, go up the stairs to get massages and facials, or even just play some cards with your group. While definitely older in styling, the facilities were all incredibly well maintained, clean, and inviting, providing a sense of comfort even when sweating out every ounce of my being. There is plenty of clear signage, staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and quite helpful (I explained it was my first time and he walked me through it all). I would definitely recommend, and honestly, will likely be returning. read more

The front desk customer service at Spa World was absolutely unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. The woman assisting guests before me was polite, smiling, and thorough with non-African American customers--explaining procedures, asking for sizes, and treating them with basic courtesy. The moment it was my turn, her entire demeanor changed. Instead of professionalism, I was met with visible disdain, eye-rolling, and a dismissive attitude. No explanations. No courtesy. No respect. When I calmly corrected her on an issue, rather than addressing it professionally, she doubled down on the disrespect. To make matters worse, she was not wearing a name tag. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it, which is completely unacceptable in a customer-facing role. I then attempted to address the issue with another front desk employee--the shorter, dark-haired woman with glasses--who also refused to respond when spoken to. This experience left me feeling singled out, disrespected, and ignored. Whether this was due to poor training or something more troubling, the behavior I encountered was unprofessional and hostile. Front desk staff set the tone for any business, and Spa World's front desk failed spectacularly. I have been going to Spa World for over a decade, and I'm so sad that their current policies are ruining this once great establishment. By allowing bathing suits in the Bade pool, they have completely done away with any sense of cleanliness or calm. Many customers are going straight from the locker rooms into the pool without showering now, and the water quality is significantly bad as a result. On my last visit, for the first time ever, sitting in the Bade pool felt disgusting. Additionally, allowing swim suits is making it more like a regular indoor swimming pool, and groups of women are loudly talking in there at all times. I really miss the days when staff would politely work to keep the noise levels down, and when the customers understood the importance of thorough showering before entering the pool. I suppose management started allowing swim suits to attract a new customer base, but I'm afraid by doing so they are losing their old one. read more

I asked to use the restroom before my 1:30 scrub and I overheard the employee ask if I was allowed to use the restroom before I pay for service. After I returned from the restroom I overheard the employees giving away my 1:30 spa treatment so I asked for the manager and was told that the next appointment was at 3:30 pm. This place is fantastic. Go and spend a day and rejuvenate yourself. You need to learn how it works, but just do it. Your shoes go in the locker at the entrance. You get a uniform and a locker for inside. The wet areas are wonderful and no clothes allowed. Multiple hot tubs, cold tub, cold shower, steam and sauna. The wading area has all sorts of jets and bubbles to relax. Then in the common area there is a Korean restaurant and snack bar. Multiple treatment rooms. These are heated (or frozen) rooms with salt, charcoal, amythist and other compounda to treat your ailments. There a small fitness area, smoking room, kids room and massage treatments. I used to come here all the time, but after many visits where I noticed it was going downhill, I stopped coming. BUT I decided to give it one more try after deciding that I didn't want to drive super far to another spa to have a relaxing day. I came on a Thursday morning and noticed immediately that the entrance was very clean; the young lady at check in was pleasant. The locker room was very clean too, as was the bathroom there. Of course this is an older establishment, so it could use some upgrading. The bade area was clean and each shower had shampoo and soap. Two of the pools were closed for some reason, and the steam room was WAY too hot. I couldn't enjoy myself in there, so I had to pass on that. The main area was clean and quiet and the furniture was in good shape. The saunas could use some TLC, but they weren't horrible. I had a great time relaxing! So, I don't know what to say exactly. It was very clean. The space is huge. Everyone was very professional and nice. The Groupon made entry very affordable. The whole system is very organized. Just be aware, nudity is optional in the pools. And I'm not a prude so you do you. I wore a swimsuit. Most folks were naked. The pools were amazing. The sauna and poultice rooms very neat. I had reserved a scrub/massage. This is where things got unexpected. The massage area was right next to the pool. You and 6 friends strip down and get on your tables while the ladies in either their underwear or swim gear start to work. If you go with a friend be prepared to now be naked friends. It was a for real scrub though. And the massage was very thorough. Like I think I don't need a breast exam thorough. The hair wash was nice. So go prepared for all that and you'll be fine. read more

I've been here quite a few times through the years, I go with friends about once or twice a year. For the entry price of just the saunas and bade pools especially with a Groupon that's always available, I would give it 4 stars, but the prices of the additional services such as the massage and body scrub which I normally get has gone up so much that I'm dropping a star. For many years even last year, it was still $40-45 for a 25 mins body scrub, but today it was $75. Not sure if it's inflation or that King Spa opened and they realized they can charge more, but there definitely didn't seem to have been that much demand anymore and tables were pretty empty for a weekend, so I hope they go back down a bit! The facilities are clean, tho the decorations look a bit outdated. Definitely be prepared to spend 4 hours here to fully experience the facilities or more if you want to rest and read in the open area. All of the dry sauna rooms in the co-ed area are varying degrees and depending how often people go in and out, it can be hotter or cooler. There are water machines with ice cold water and little cups, bringing a refillable water bottle will help you stay hydrated. There's a "bar" to buy drinks like boba or shaved ice or ice cream bars. There's also a little restaurant with a decent menu and fairly good. We usually get the dolsat bibimbap and the rice gets nicely crispy at the bottom, tho the meat is weird. The bulgogi meat also seems a bit dry and lacking some sauce. You can bring clean flip flops/slippers or buy some at the front. They also sell toiletries or sheet masks or you can bring your own. The same-gender locker area has lotion and the bade pool area have shampoo. They used to have shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel but have cut back. If you haven't been to a Korean spa, take a look at their website or a lot of other reviews have covered it, so I'll skip that. Definitely worth the experience for what's covered for the entry price, but if the additional services stay at the high price, I may just go elsewhere for those! read more

I'm currently touring all the local saunas to find the best one to become a regular at. So far, I have been to Spa World twice as I bought several discounted passes on Groupon since I'm an avid sauna-goer. Facilities: This sauna is very clean. The women's locker room is cozy and exceptionally well-maintained. The bade pool is really nice and relaxing, large amount of showers, and the scrub area is set back with more privacy offered than other saunas I've visited. The women who maintain the women's locker room are CONSTANTLY cleaning and you can tell. The place is spotless. The main area has floor mats, benches, and lounge chairs by the juice bar. There is a wide variety of sauna rooms to choose from. Food: The restaurant is very good and has a variety of both healthy and delicious offerings. I have tried the Dumpling & Rice Cake Soup, Palmeni, and the Galbi platter. All were delicious and they have really good kimchi. The restaurant staff are really nice and run the place efficiently. The juice/tea bar is great and the prices aren't bad. The boba is excellent! Services: I have not tried the services here yet, but the prices are a bit high compared to other places I go. Spa World Charges $85 for a 20 minute scrub. I got a 40 minute scrub at Parkside for only $60. I think the service package prices at King Spa (literally the Four Seasons of saunas) are a better deal. I will likely utilize Spa World more for the facilities than services. Vibe: This spa gets a LOT of first-timer sauna goers. Which is fine BUT 70% of the people that come here do not understand common spa etiquette. I've never been to such a NOISY sauna in my life. I'm currently in the sauna and there's a BACHELORETTE PARTY going on. Seriously? Cool idea but not when you're disturbing the other guests. You get a lot of people talking loudly in the sauna rooms when you're trying to relax. I left the bade pool in the women's locker room earlier as people wouldn't stop loudly having personal conversations while I'm trying to soak. I had women knock into me rudely and push me out of the way to get next to her friend. It wasn't relaxing at all. It's a sauna, not a Buffalo Wild Wings FFS. Not sure why this place attracts so many rude, uncultured people with a staring problem. You can definitely tell who the avid sauna go-ers are here. Solo, noise cancelling headphones on, quiet. I've seen some of the same ones here as last time, we did "the nod". Honorable mentions: Spa World allows you to wear indoor slippers/shoes. I don't know many places that allow that. I picked up a $5 pair of slides from Lidl as my sauna shoes on my way over. It's nice having footwear especially to use when visiting the restrooms. Also this is one of the busiest spas I've seen outside of WiSpa in Los Angeles. Get here early if you want a more quiet relaxing experience because after 12:30 it gets crowded and loud. Overall: Decent, clean spa with a variety of good amenities and delicious food. Not a fan of the clientele but that's not really the sauna's fault. It's in a great shopping center with an H Mart and Tous Les Jours (I get breakfast there before the sauna, then have lunch at the sauna, and shop H Mart after--perfect day!) read more

This place is in dire need of a renovation and considering many of their services are significantly more expensive than King Spa they should be able to make it happen. But when I saw the roaches creeping around, that was the last straw for me. Will definitely not be returning again. read more

Spa World was essentially the first Korean spa in the northern Virginia area where everyone raved about going! I lived like 22 years essentially 5 minutes away from it and never went here until this past year. Each time I go, it's just been an okay experience. The experiences that were a bit better were during the weekdays when there's not that many people. On weekends, even with horrendous weather, there's masses of people that take up all the spots, friend groups laying their whole entire bodies on each of the couches instead of sharing, children running around and screaming, and so many people in the ice room that the ice starts melting. It can get overwhelming and there will be long lines/ crowds in each of the saunas and the dining area. If you go right when it opens, it's very chill and calming. If you're there during lunch time, good luck to ya buddy. Each room will be super crowded and people will tend to just talk fairly loudly to the point where you can hear it over your headphones :( So if you plan ahead and go during off-peak hours, your experience will be a lot better. I wish there was a media room/ resting room vs the lounge area, but it would be difficult to build that now with all of the crowds. read more

I have been wanting to come here since I first heard about it years ago, but never made the time until now since my sister gifted me an experience. What a treat! We started off with the poultice rooms and bounced in and out of all of them several times. The first one spoiled me, and that was the Red Clay Ball room. Stepping on the balls was a massage for the feet. Lying on the balls was transcendent! I felt like my body was pulsating all over. Wow! The Amethyst Room (which also has lots of aventurine and carnelian, was probably my second favorite. Not only are the stones beautifully and artfully arranged, but I also felt like something was actively happening with my body while in there. I think I liked the salt room, the red clay room, and the charcoal room all tied for third. What am I saying? I liked them all! The Red Clay Room is not for the faint of heart. It gets HOT in there! The ice room smelled too musty or moldy for me. I liked the cold effects, especially after baking in the others, but the smell was offputting. After a good round of the poultice rooms, we grabbed lunch. I got the bibimbap and spring rolls. Note: the spring rolls are half the size you'd expect them to be. You get 5 for $8. They're good, though. And the bibimbap was plentiful. The accoutrements were tasty, but the ingredients in the bowl itself weren't so much. I didn't realize there were condiments at the counter. I would've used them had I known. After lunch, I got a 30-minute traditional oil deep tissue massage. Not the BEST I've had, but respectably in the Top Ten. She even stood on my back. Finally, I took a quick dip into the pool. This was probably the least impressive part of the spa for me, though still pretty cool. It seemed some of the jets weren't working. And everything everyone says about being naked and not feeling weird is true. Everyone's naked, and if you're clothed, you might feel overdressed, like I did. Things I'd do differently next time: bring and wear slippers, Bring a water bottle to keep filled at their stations. I was surprised that the mats and pillows aren't cleaned with each use. With all of the sweating, it can't be sanitary. That was a little offputting for me. Overall a very nice day and a great way to treat yourself to wellness and relaxation. read more

Of the area spas, this one is fairly run down and quite small. There's no outdoor pool area, and the few saunas get overcrowded quickly. I'd recommend King Spa instead. Purchased a groupon for a value of $122. A gift for my mother back in December. The manager kept saying i have 3 months to use the voucher when IT CLEARLY HASN'T BEEN 3 MONTHS. My mom is an not tech saavy and checked her email today, only to realize it was expired yesterday. I called the place to ask if the groupon could still be honored since they are still running the same deal. I know damn well as a manager for many establishments that this is definitely doable if you care about the customers. She just kept cutting me off telling me in a condescending voice "then it's expired." I see it says expired on my groupon. But IT HASN'T BEEN NO DAMN 3 MONTHS. The math isn't mathing. Poor poor customer service. I never been there, bur my mom has anf I did it as her birthday gift. Now they are telling me i have to "pay" the difference. Which i am not making my mom pay the difference for her birthday gift. An almost $200 value decreased to only what i paid... i can understand if the offer wasn't something they had anymore. However in this case they are still running the promotion, but won't honor the damn coupon when she's literally going this Saturday. Management is horrible. read more

This is a great place to spend some time with gal pals and just relax! The morning spent at the spa was well worth it! The facility is clean and has a lot to do. Cold plunge to a warm sit in a larger whirlpool. The sauna rooms were great, I could have fallen asleep in those. Great service and a clean atmosphere. I wore my bathing suit, but there were plenty of ladies that were completely naked. So depending on your comfort level, you can dress or not accordingly. read more

Had a much better experience my second time here. Thai tea is still surprisingly buttery (but good) and I tried the restaurant food today. It's wayyyyy better than Balian Springs and King Spa. I like this place but their body scrub was brutal I got 25 minutes body scrub from spa world. The lady name Dena or Dana I don't remember. OMG she wasn't gentle she rip off my skin I told her it's hurt but she doesn't care at all. She was so fast and rushing to finish her job, I got 25 minutes body scrub but she was done in 15 minutes but thanks god she was done earlier otherwise I don't how my skin with look like afterwards. Horrible experience and never get body scrub again at spa world, the ladies can't speak any English mot even a word that is so insane. read more

very disappointed. Spa World was an amazing place to go to rejuvenate and relax but my recent experience was not at all relaxing. There were unattended kids running around the open Poultice room area, I almost got run over while on my mat. People were also talking loudly and were also talking in the poultice rooms. The open mat area used to be a place where people only whispered and the poultice room were meditative. the only voices I would hear were in the restaurant. I wish it were still that way. I don't want to cone to a spa to listen to people talk. I would go to a coffee shop if I wanted conversation. There were no staff personnel in the around to monitor what was going on. Please restore SpaWorld to the way it used to be. a beautiful place to come and restore your spirit. ill be looking elsewhere and doubt I will come back. read more
