Literally the worst; par for the course for Quest Diagnostics. I make an appointment days in…read moreadvance and call my doctor's office to get the lab order sent over. I show up early, even in fog. I digitally check in, while walking to the waiting room from the parking lot. I get the text "you will be called soon, head to the waiting area" - Fantastic! I'm already in the waiting area. I proceed to wait for 20 minutes, my name is never called. Finally, because there is zero reception, that person has been replaced by an iPad. Sad but true. I ask the next employee who opens the door. She says, we already called you. I tell her that I have been there since checking in. She says "Well, I don't know what to tell you." and then says I can keep waiting until they can call me. I had another appointment and had to leave. This is the second time I tried to use Quest Diagnostic and had a similar experience. And the attitude is just the cherry on top. It's blood testing, not rocket science, and they just can't get it right. Oh and if you think they have a phone number or any type of way to hear from you as a customer. Forget it. They don't.

Shirley was behaving like the mean boss of her playpen today and had an immature, combative and aggressive attitude with the patients. Instead of welcoming me into the lab, Shirley looks at me with disgust, as if I were an alien from another planet, handing her lab work orders from outer space. She barks at me to "have a seat" several times while I am talking to her and after having a seat, she calls me back up and tells me that I am now allowed to approach her. She insolently asks for my address, and informs me that if I want to pay cash, then I would have to tend the exact amount because they "do not have monies here". I leave to get the exact change from a nearby grocery store and upon my return, Shirley jumps out of her desk, as if the bubonic plague had just entered the room, then gets replaced by Diana. Diana was mildly nice, considering what rumors Shirley had already spread about me. She checks me in, draws my blood, and as I am leaving the lab, I see Shirley partially blocking the doorway, and, of course shows no intention of moving to let me pass by with ease, nor does she thank me for my business, which keeps her playpen running.

It has been over a week so I called to check on my status. I ended up with a male on the phone who wanted to give me the bums rush and seemed irritated. I waited a bit and called back where I received courteous help from a female staff who was polite and helped me through the process.It feels like a government contracted agency that is just their to collect tax dollars. Friendly lady checked us in she required birth certificate drivers license or a passport. We were called back by Loren after 5 minutes. My wife was first Loren asked a few questions as she entered all her information on a screen that we were able to follow. Loren entered all our information, finger prints and a picture were taken. Loren was friendly very proficient she completed my wife's application in 10 minutes. I was next she finished just as fast no paperwork everything was completed on a keyboard and screen. There is a $78 charge for each application we should hear back within a week after a background check. The time and hassle we saved was worth it. It was easy process especially with Loren she was very pleasant and knows her job well
