Literally the worst; par for the course for Quest Diagnostics. I make an appointment days in advance and call my doctor's office to get the lab order sent over. I show up early, even in fog. I digitally check in, while walking to the waiting room from the parking lot. I get the text "you will be called soon, head to the waiting area" - Fantastic! I'm already in the waiting area. I proceed to wait for 20 minutes, my name is never called. Finally, because there is zero reception, that person has been replaced by an iPad. Sad but true. I ask the next employee who opens the door. She says, we already called you. I tell her that I have been there since checking in. She says "Well, I don't know what to tell you." and then says I can keep waiting until they can call me. I had another appointment and had to leave. This is the second time I tried to use Quest Diagnostic and had a similar experience. And the attitude is just the cherry on top. It's blood testing, not rocket science, and they just can't get it right. Oh and if you think they have a phone number or any type of way to hear from you as a customer. Forget it. What awful experiences! They send you to the wrong location. When you're where they tell you be but you're supposed to be somewhere else, they tell you it's just two blocks down. Then when you go two blocks down they send you to the back door that nobody answers and after ten minutes of ringing the doorbell, you're informed you're still at the wrong location. When you finally get to the location nobody told you about (3 miles away), they're locked for the day at 359 pm for an appointment scheduled 20 minutes before. Horrific customer service. Horrific online experience. Don't even try to get in touch via telephone. Absolutely pathetic quality of care. You're dealing with a 17-year old who doesn't even want to be there for the blood draw to begin with. Everyone is more interested in locking the doors than seeing patients. I was at the doctor and he gave me labs to be done so I noticed that Quest was just five doors down. We checked and the wait time was only five minutes. The office is big and beautiful inside. I never even had to sit down,. You check yourself in on a ipad and a nice male employee said come on back. He did the paperwork and took my blood and I was out in a flash. It was so fast and efficient. The man who took my blood was also very good and didn't leave a bruise. This will be my place to get my labs from now on. I'm giving one star because I can't give "0". I had a blood test done on 4/2/24. Didn't get results, so I called them a week later, on 4/9/24. After waiting 1 1/2 hours for Quest to answer the phone, I was told that their machine is broken and that I will not get my T3 reverse test results until after they repair their broken machine, which may happen on 4/28/24. DO NOT GO TO ANY QUEST DIAGNOSTICS LAB. You may die before you get your test results. With all the money they make from us customers, they cannot replace a broken machine or rush the repairs. I am a cash pay customer. Before my appointment for routine labs, I received an estimate for around $300. I had my labs drawn and today received my bill for $611!! I called the billing department to discuss, but they were no help and basically said rudely "too bad!" So now I am stuck with a $611 bill. Quest lies and I will never use them again. Why lie and rip off people who are cash pay customers? Dishonest company and rude customer service. read more

I made an appointment and got there 50 minutes early. As other people checked in including walk-ins, I asked if I would be seen earlier than my scheduled appointment. I was told that it would be based on who was "next in line" making me believe that I would have priority over walk-ins. I checked in before any of the walk-ins, so I figured I would be called after those who had earlier appointments. That was far from the truth. After waiting 40 minutes watching several people check-in as walk-ins and called in to get bloodwork, I asked why I was not being seen before them. The gal said it was based on the computer telling them who is next. So, if you get there much earlier than your scheduled appointment, check in as a walk-in or you will be unjustly passed over by walk-ins. Also, the manager was defensive and justifying the unfair system they have in place when I expressed my concern instead of being empathetic. read more

I have used quest for years. This is our link between UCLA and Bakersfield. The lab techs there are incredibly rude. I use quest every 3 months for my child. The orders standing or new never change. I asked the tech to double check an order. She didn't. I stepped out to confirm with our dr. When back in to ask her to check again. A second employee decided to argue and insert herself. Like a child rolled her eyes and said I was not being clear when I asked her to check the first time. Both employees were extremely disrespectful. Will not use quest again. read more

Very impressed with Arturo the young man who drew my blood last week! It was my first experience having blood drawn at this particular lab. He was very professional & I have not had my blood drawn so easily as this experience! Only one try!! Lately, other labs have had to try 2-3 times. Arturo was truly the best. I went in and realized that my lab requests weren't in the computer and he called and got them faxed over within 15 minutes. He really helped me out because I have very little time and was trying to get this done when I had a day off.
