Needed to make a trip downtown to Quest Imaging, I got right in with no appointment for a EKG and bloodwork. It was 11:15 I was greeted as i entered comfortable small waiting awith TV Called back by William who drew my blood in a clean draw station no pain he was smooth. I then went down the hall where Christeen greeted me, she set me up for my EKG , very friendly and professional. were done in 10 minutes I was only at Quest 20 minutes before I was headed back to my car. Fantastic experience. Quest Imagine has hours past those that are posted and while it may not always be the case, it was for me. And boy did I appreciate that. Not having to take off work for a scan was a real treat. When I arrived after 5pm it was empty sans one employee who checked me in. This place was very nice. The young lady at the reception desk was not as friendly as could be and was very robotic. Asked for id and insurance card immediately and just said have a seat. I had questions because I had never been here but it didn't seem like she wanted to answer any. She continued the same with every person that came in after me. Needs more customer service for sure. Aside from that everyone else in the facility was great especially the nurse that did my IV. She explained everything very patiently and was great. read more

Scheduling does not return multiple calls for appointments, even when you stop in in-person and they take your information and tell you they will call you by the end of the day or tomorrow at the latest. This has happened to me twice within 3 months, causing me to have to reschedule two separate doctor's appointments, thus delaying two separate diagnoses. read more

Needed a STAT MRI, I have several implants and have had MRI's there before. But now if you have implants they want a doctors clearance even though I've had MRI's before with the implants at QUEST. They say their rules have changed, I gave them the model numbers and serial numbers for my implants to prove they are MRI safe but that's not good enough. I should have just went to UCLA to begin with. So it's road trip time. At least if you go to UCLA, USC or Cedar Sinai, they will treat you like a customer instead of giving you attitude. QUEST makes it worth the drive over the mountain. QUEST's scheduling department needs to be sent to CHARM SCHOOL or just jump in a lake but probably both. read more

This facility is the worst experience I have ever had to deal with!!! I have been there 2 years ago and further back from that date for imaging and they were great!!! NOW, YOU CAN NOT SPEAK TO ANYONE AND GET AN APPOINTMENT!! Even their on line appointments jerk you around. I just do not understand what the hell they are doing NOT taking calls. I tried for 2 + weeks and had my Cardiologist office call and ask why I have not gone for my calcium imaging. Don't waste your time folks, I think they switched to D.E.I. ways of doing things. read more

I was sent here by my doctor for a chest X-ray and CT scan. He had stat written on the orders. They were going to do my X-ray and I had figured I was going to have to schedule my CT scan. They were able to do both the same day but said I would have to wait for awhile for the scan. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Walked in to have my right hand x rayed. Receptionist was pleasant and efficient. Process was the same as other Quest offices. Reception, registration, procedure. Registration was comprehensive even though I have been there before and my PC is an Adventist doc. Registration staff walked me to the x-ray waiting room. Short wait for the X-ray tech. From there I was taken back for my exams and again did not have to wait. Both the young lady registering me and the techs were very friendly and made me feel quite comfortable. My doctor ordered an ASAP ultrasound and subsequent needle fluid removal. I received a call from Quest within 30 minutes of seeing my doctor at 2 pm. The woman on the phone said there were no appointments available until a week later, July 19th! I said I need this done either today or tomorrow. The doctor order said ASAP. To which she responds, that is as soon as we can get you in. Ridiculous! Won't be using them anymore. Called my doctor and told them. I have not heard back. Told Quest to forget it. read more

This year I had an abnormal test and they were very professional and empathetic when calling to schedule a follow up test. My appointment vs actual mammogram was over an hour late. Another lady had been waiting almost 2 hrs. These delays occurred after we were in the back waiting room & in our gowns!! Nice, new, clean facilities greet you at Quest Imaging downtown. Soothing wall colors as well as decor calm the anxious mind. Their location is across the street from San Joaquin Community Hospital. It's in the left building on the ground floor to your left when you walk in. There was plenty of parking close to the building too, which is a plus on a 100* Bakersfield summer day. The staff members were all very nice and helpful. The woman who did an ultrasound on my thyroid was gentle and thorough. If you have to undress for your imaging there is a male and female locker room and then waiting room for you. If I need imaging done in the future, I will request to come to this Quest. The only thing I have to compare it to is Kern Radiology, and without a doubt, next time I'll choose Quest. read more
