So, it seems I'm the one of the few giving Labcorp a 5-star review here, and I'm fully aware I might be in the minority, but hear me out! Long story short, my endocrinologist sent me here for another round of bloodwork because apparently, some key results were mysteriously missing from my last lab report. Where did you guys hide my A1C results? Is A1C trafficking becoming a thing now? Who knows, but it was crucial for my diabetes screening, so here I am at Labcorp--Huntington Dr., Arcadia--ready for my vampire session. Now, I know this location gets a lot of hate, but let me just say, my experience was surprisingly smooth. For context, I'm in cancer remission and also dealing with diabetes, and trying to survive life without my thyroid (fun times, right?..not...lol). Anyway, Made an appointment, went there bright and early, I was greeted by a young gentleman at the counter who quickly confirmed my paperwork and got me set up. No more than 5 minutes later, just when my bum is getting warmed up and comfortable--- boom--tech comes out and calls my full name. (Me: What did I do now?) After a few chit-chats about the weather and how many vials of blood she's drained since the crack of dawn, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Total pro move. Two vials of blood later, I was done and back to my day, leaving behind a small portion of my soul, trapped in two rinky-dink vials Look, I get the frustration from other reviews, but for me, everything went off without a hitch, and I have to give credit where it's due. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the whole process feel a lot less dreadful. Would I be back? Probably, as long as the same awesome people are working there. Fingers crossed! P.S. Parking here is amazing--they've got a huge lot! Unlike those LA Labcorp locations where parking is basically a game of "find the needle in the haystack." The parking lot for this building is huge and can be confusing, with so many buildings that it's easy to lose your bearings. I actually called the office to make sure I wouldn't get lost, and the receptionist who answered was incredibly sweet and reassuring. She even tried to help guide me to the right place. The office is located on the third floor in Suite 303. Once you walk in, you simply check in if you have an appointment and then take a seat. I waited about 15 minutes before being called, which wasn't bad. The person who did my blood work was very kind and gentle. The facility itself is quite cold, so I recommend bringing a jacket. Other than that, the whole process was smooth and easy, and my results came back within a day. I really appreciate that you can check your results online and that they provide clear explanations for each value with a color-coded sliding scale--it makes everything very easy to understand. Overall, this location is so much better than the one in Alhambra, which was always a mess. From now on, I'll definitely be coming here instead. read more

I usually am very understanding when it comes to healthcare workers because I am one myself. I had an appointment at 12:15pm (during my lunch break) I come in 10 mins late which there's a grace period and there was two people in front of me. The guy at the very front literally took at least 12 mins talking to the lady at the front with glasses and when it was my turn she turned me away which was unfair to me because yes I was late, but she was helping the guy for 12 more mins and she then said I need to reschedule, wait 3hrs, or go to West Covina which is 35 mins away. Horrible customer service! I would never turn away a patient the way she did. There's ways in speaking to a patient. She could've definitely handled it differently. read more

I had an excellent experience here. Front desk staff Deedee and another gentleman were very professional. Also super patient with customers . Wait was very reasonable. People start acting all impatient waiting only 10mins, chill out people! Especially if you're a walk-in, don't expect to be taken in right away. Making an appointment online beforehand helps. Oh, and either having your lab orders with you or faxed to the correct labcorp location by your doctor's office beforehand really helps too. They obviously can't draw your blood without the orders. My phlebotomist Heidi was AMAZING. I'm a hard stick and she poked me once and got it immediately, like no big deal. I was very impressed. Would definitely come back if I ever need to again. I had an appointment for 11:45, checked in at 11:40 and wasn't seen until a little after 1pm. When I complained about the wait time I was told "45 minutes isn't bad." I saw the phlebotomist for less than 5 minutes and appointments are scheduled 15 minutes apart, so I don't understand why such a long wait. My doctor ordered a bunch of tests and the lab took a substantial amount of blood from me. Imagine my shock when I am told by my doctor and a customer service rep of Labcorp that they cannot locate my blood work results. I don't understand how that can even happen but beware before coming to this Labcorp. Came here to get several blood tests. The parking lot is pretty huge but was still packed as this location is shared with a lot of other medical departments such as Huntington Breast Center. Once I arrived, the place was super crowded as there's a lot of people that do walk-ins. Thankfully, I scheduled an appointment in advance so I was able to get my blood work done exactly at 12:30 pm (time of my scheduled appointment) While I was able to get my blood test on time, the whole procedure went horribly and I was bruised. The technician told me to squeeze the heat pack so the blood can flow but didn't say how tightly I should squeeze. I ended up having a really visible bruised arm and have had it for a couple of days now. I've been to other blood test places in the past and this has not happened before. Overall, I wish the information for how tightly I should squeeze/how to best prepare for blood test was communicated to me prior so I know what to expect. Every time I come here, the facility is severely overbooked. Waiting times are almost always absurd. The tiny waiting room has a few seats but several people are left standing around in the cramped room. If you have an 11:15am appointment, the reality is you won't be seen until at least 12:15 or later. The place seems understaffed and the receptionist(s) are stressed out due to the overbooking of appointments. This LabCorp would be much better off if they refused all walk-ins and only served people with appointments. On the plus side, the facility is always clean and once you do finally get called to the back, they're quick. read more

I had to make my appointment almost two months in advance, but that's not LabCorp's fault. So I can't ding them for that. Check in process can be done either in person at the front desk, or using one of two check-in kiosks, or even by your phone. If you go with the kiosk or your phone, they will text you when they're ready for you. I did the kiosk check-in, and it took all of 30-seconds. The kiosk scans the front and back of your drivers license, and then you answer maybe three questions and your done. My appt was at 9:45am, and I checked-in at 9:30am. I was in the lab chair at 9:50am, and I was walking out to my car at 10am. The tech was a Jedi, because I swear, I honestly never felt a thing. Not even a slight prick. Nothing. I will never forget what they did to me. I had bloody urine, pointed it out to the nurse, or whatever she was, and told her to notate it for my doctor at that time. Well guess what? My test results came out NORMAL, as in ERROR, ERROR, ERROR. No mention of my bloody urine whatsoever. That was my last time there, and I was forced to switch doctors due to gross INCOMPETENCE of both her, and her lousy front desk staff. Now, Sun Labority in Arcadia is finding blood both in my urine, and stool samples, and things are looking quite negative scary for me, but at least it is the TRUTH. Went there for a pregnancy glucose test as ordered by my doctor. The test last for 2 hours, and you are not allow to leave the premises as too much movement will affect the glucose level and test results. I was so worried that it will take forever to past the 2 hours, but was pleasantly surprised that they had free internet access for guest, so I was able to stream on my laptop. The girls that work there are very friendly and always smiling, and was quick and efficient at drawing blood. For this glucose test, I had to draw blood 3 times. Once before I drank the super sweet gatorade mixture, one hour after, and two hours after. I sat in the waiting room and brought a comfy pillow to lay my head. In my 2 hours there, I saw that they had many, many customers come in and they were in and out in 15 minutes or so, so this particular office is very well-run. The lady at the front desk was sweet and courteous, so luckily I did not have the bad receptionist other people have experienced. Sandy said that she loves her job, and I'm sure that makes all the difference. She gave me a good tip to drink warm water, not cold, before my blood draws.
