There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big; however, the lot is often full very quickly. Each parking spot size varies. Some are smaller than others, so be careful where you park. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, organized, and tidy. I highly recommend booking an appointment online and submitting your insurance stuff online. Then check in via the tablets in the waiting area or via your cellphone. Otherwise, you will have to submit all your insurance stuff on the day of your appointment and it can be kinda annoying. Just an FYI, Do NOT do walk ins. My phlebotomist told me that some people who walked in there without an appointment at 6AM are still there waiting to be called because they prioritize people who made appointments first. My appointment was scheduled for 10:40AM. So people who walked in at 6AM had been waiting for 4 hours already. That's crazy! Btw, even with my 10:40AM appointment time, I still waited an extra 20 minutes before being seen. That is how busy they are. Staff: The staff here are very kind, friendly, professional, and compassionate. I witnessed a little boy being very scared, and his phlebotomist was so caring, gentle, kind, understanding, and compassionate towards him. How cute! My phlebotomist was very chill, funny, and great at her job. I barely felt the needle going in. Bathrooms are pretty clean. They clean and disinfect the bathroom very often. read more

First time at this location, typical horrible experience with the Quest appointment/walk-in system. Seems like this might be their new location since the Huntington one closed (think they merged the Yelp accounts, which is why two reviews are showing up here for different places). Multiple people in the waiting room were complaining about how long they were waiting, how the Arcadia Quest used to be much faster, etc. After waiting in stand-by for an hour, I and another person were told that we would not be able to come in as standby, without an appointment. With only 10 minutes left to the day, staff stated that there were still two appointments they were waiting on and wouldn't take us, even though those people were not present. Since COVID, Quest has used this online appointment system which makes things so difficult for multiple patients and seems inefficient to the actual work of getting blood tests done during the work window. This facility is terrible. Made a reservation weeks in advance. When I arrived there was absolutely NO human employee in the lobby. There are two tablets to use to check in (see picture). You are forced to scan your driver's license and your insurance card. When I was called in 20 minutes late the woman was blunt and rude. No polite or welcoming "bedside" manner. Even though insurance cards were scanned at the tablet in the lobby, the woman asked (demanded) the cards and said they weren't in the system. Took another 15 minutes to rescan the cards and enter codes from dr's orders. This was one of the worse blood draws I've ever experienced - rooted the needle around in my arm after shoving it in all the way to the hilt. Fasted all day to get routine bloodwork but just got a sign the the Quest on Huntington, Arcadia that says that they are permanently closed. States to go to the Quest on Duarte rd, Aracdia nearby. Since I got there early , I went to Huntington and there is no appointment found, I went on standby waitlist just see to see after 2 hours, no movement. Everyone in the lobby were super upset and it felt very uncomfortable with so many frustrated, upset, vocal people. It felt like DMV, where the workers are indifferent and not trying to help. The lady indicated that corporate knows about the permanent closure of their facility and still books patients. I suggested they notify corporate again to fix that to avoid hundreds of people scheduling appointments unaware they're booking for a closed facility. read more

I made an appointment over a week in advance and arrived 20 minutes early. I wasn't seen until nearly an hour after my scheduled time, which I can accept. What I cannot accept is what came next. When I was finally called in, the staff member told me my doctor's order wasn't in the system and asked me to call my doctor's office myself. I called and got no answer, so I left to head to my car assuming I'd have to reschedule. On my way out, my doctor's office called me back and told me they were faxing the order over right away. I turned around and went back inside, but the front doors at this location are locked with no window or intercom. The only way to get someone's attention is to wait for a staff member to open the door. After waiting for someone to come out, I explained that I had just been seen, my doctor had called back, and the fax was on its way. I was then told I had to sign in again and go to the back of a waitlist of over 20 people, despite having had an appointment and already waiting an hour. When I pushed back, I was repeatedly told "all I did was ask you to sign in," with zero acknowledgment of how long I had already been there. No manager was available and staff refused to provide a contact number. I was told it takes 30 minutes to receive a fax, and almost as an aside, that my appointment slot was only valid for 10 minutes. That detail alone says everything about how this location treats patients. To make matters worse, I watched an elderly couple who had difficulty with English try to check in. The staff member's response was "I don't understand you, you need to check in," and walked away. Another patient in the waiting room had to step in and help them. This location is understaffed, poorly managed, and the staff showed no compassion toward patients who had already gone out of their way to follow the proper process. I got taken at 8:15, did the tests my doctor had ordered, and was out the door by 8:35. Super easy and quick! The tester didn't really say much to me, they could definitely work on communication care, but overall that was not a big deal. I came here for my annual bloodwork. I had scheduled my appointment through their online portal and it was very easy and quick. Luckily, I was able to put my appointment within a few days out right before the Thanksgiving holiday too! When I arrive, they have a kiosk to check-in. It scans your ID and your Insurance card very quickly. Within 1-2 minutes I was checked-in and I only waited 5 minutes before I was called in. The nurse that helped me was very nice, and she took my blood right away. I think I was in-n-out of Quest in like 10-15 minutes. For someone who doesn't like going to the doctors, let along getting my blood drawn, this was amazing. I've gone to Quest before, and have waited a bit longer when there were more people in the waiting area. But overall, the nurses have always been very kind and understanding of my fear of needles. I also love the self-check-in with option to call/text if I wanted to wait in my car instead. In addition to Quest's convenient check-ins and scheduling, they are also located within a plaza making parking very easy. The lady told them she had an appt and the blood needed to be taken by 8 am due to the medication . The two ladies were so rude to her . I couldn't believe how careless they were . You will need to sign in either if you have an appt or walk-in at the kiosk they have in the front. So, there was no customer service in the front. They were definitely short staffed. There were only two nurses routining and taking all the patients. So, they weren't really having it. I'm sure they were tired, but I think they should still put more care on the patients because patients aren't the tools they should put their anger and frustration on. Let's just say this was the most painful blood draw I have had. It was ok when she put it in. It hurt but is acceptable, but I know some nurses do such a great job that it has absolutely no pain. I wonder how they do that because you're still getting poked by a needle. Anyway, it was when she took it out that hurt like crap. It felt like she didn't do it at the angle she put it in, so I felt like she had just forced it out. Picture for reference and heads up. The nice thing is they show the people that has an appt vs stand by aka walk-ins on the TV. It doesn't show your full name but you can tell it's your name and your place in line. I got lucky that 3 walk-ins in front of me didn't show up, possibly got tired of waiting, so I didn't wait for 5 hours like one of the nurses said, walk-in could be 5mins to 5 hours wait. I am surprised this Quest location has bad ratings. I loved that they are open on Saturdays from 8 am - 12 pm. Walked in around 9 am as a walk in appt and was seen within 30 minutes. The workers are quick here to get people in and out. They are also friendly and attentive. I am terrified of needles so I asked for the butterfly and the lady said absolutely she will use one. Lol the first thing they did when I tried to check in for a walk-in visit was encourage me to leave and make an appointment. They said it would be a "very very long wait" due to "a lot of appointments" but I told them I had time (I brought a book). All in all, I waited for about 30 minutes (not bad!) The lady that helped me with my blood test was the fastest, most efficient person ever. I was literally called in and done within 5 minutes. She was calm, collected, and conversational. My Pasadena location that I usually go to for my morning blood work were booked and so, I decided to go to this Arcadia location since my brother goes here to get his blood work done. Overall, I am pleased with the service provided here. Reservations: Definitely book ahead online! If you come here as a walk-in, expect to wait anywhere from 2 to 3 hours (I heard the receptionists say that to walk-ins). After getting checked in, my insurance card copied and body temperature checked, Bayani, my Phlebotomist (friendly and efficient) was ready for me. However, before I got to sitting down, Bayani quickly disinfected the chair first. We then proceeded with my blood drawing. He checked both of my arms and mentioned that my veins were small (yup!). He then checked the veins above my wrists and drew from my left side. With the butterfly needle, he nailed it on the first shot, and it was quick (blood quickly flowing) and painless, yay! Afterwards, he cleaned up and bandaged my punctured area (no bruises, double yay!!!). The whole procedure with Bayani lasted less than 10mins. Overall, my entire visit lasted 45mins and I was very pleased. Again, major kudos to Bayani as well as the kind receptionists working there that day. I have been going to this location for 3 years. I'm giving this location 3 stars because Bayani (retired now), Bania, and the older Filipina lady were great! Never had an issue with them drawing my blood. So seamless and painless! Blood flow was excellent every time they drew blood. Recently, I have had a HORRIBLE experience. The woman in room 6 is rude, not compassionate, and moody AF. She blamed me for having small veins and not drinking enough water. The first time I saw her, she poked me twice and gave me the biggest bruise. Second time, she called my name, but I lucked out and requested someone else (Bania-who was amazing). Third time (short staffed), she drew my blood and poked me twice again and gave me bruises. She was horrible. Good luck to you if you get the woman in room 6. After inquiring, she just showing no emotion told me that I may not get service today. Why didn't she tell me at beginning. I feel totally no one care the customers. Labs are a necessary part of life and unfortunately, Quest has cornered the market. Your doctor has minimal options to refer you. Ive been to so many quest locations with my family members I had to acknowledge this one. Making an appointment is key as I have always been taken in on time. I witnessed amazing customer service by the short haired lady with salt and pepper greys at the front. she is like the expediter and helps patients check in. she epitomized customer service when an elderly lady came in demanding an appointment . She quickly defused the problem and promptly began assisting her. above and beyond her duties as it is not their job to make patient appointments . nonetheless , i've been to other quests and the staff try not to make eye contact with you when they call a patient back hoping to avoid any questions. ( try the bellafontaine location in Pasadena and you will know what I mean!) . Just because Quest has the corner on the market doesn't mean they should treat patients poorly . this quest is an exception. thank you to the staff. read more

I've been here for the past 5 years and only early mornings WITH an appointment so no complaints! You can even enter your insurance information when you make your appointment online. I was able to get my test results online as well a few days later. Very convenient! Customer service is always friendly and I am out of there in less than 10-15 minutes after my appointment time. l was told by my doctor to go to another lab recently because Quest will only do a certain test with specimen and not blood drawn. While I was at the other lab, I was crying inside the whole time because it was an awful experience and I will write a separate review there. read more

The most DISRESPECTFUL, LAZY and COMPASSIONLESS people I have ever been treated by. I arrived for my appointment on time, no receptionist at the front so I didn't know I needed to sign in even with an appointment, with specimen in hand and they waited until after the timeframe of my room temperature specimen drop off and continued to help other people with zero regard for my appointment of my waiting time. These people are the reason why this world is so cold, in a health care setting you expect warm hearted people to understand what you may be going through medically and these witches had zero compassion. OVERBOOKED - Avoid this place like the plague or COVID. You would think with COVID, they would minimize the amount of ppl in the lobby and their waiting room. They have so many people booked that the patients spilled into the building's main lobby, if you are sick, chances are, you will infect the entire building. I am surprised that building management allow for this. We made an appointment figuring that we can minimize and help with congestion, but with their OVERBOOKINGS, we became the problem. Quest, stop putting your patients in jeopardy and be a good neighbor to the rest of the building. Unless you want to wait for 2 hours while fasting, go somewhere else.....I am hungry and pissed.... Quest Management, if you really care about your patients, look at all the negative Yelp reviews for the past 2 years, it's all about your failed appointment system. Get it together Quest!
