Waited 1.5 hours after checking in. Saw two lobbies of people go and still didn't get called. Asked how much longer and told 10 mins. Care from male lab tech was friendly, but subsequent female techs were cold. Had bloodwork done, came to find out the machines are not calibrated enough or well enough resulting in a catastrophic misdiagnosis that I dealt with for 9 months. Went to a different lab to find out I was completely fine. Pretty horrifying experience. read more

They don't do appointments. I came here on a Saturday morning at 7:29am (they open at 7:30) and there was already a huge line. They opened the doors and gave a number to each person in line. I was number 34. When they call your number you give your ID and Insurance card. They give you a cup and you do your urine sample in the public restroom outside the clinic and you HOLD ON TO IT. Then they call your name to go in for your blood to be drawn. Start to finish, I was there for exactly 2 hours. They were organized in the way they handled the huge amount of people. They had 2 nurses inside taking blood. One nurse handling the intake. And another doing Misc organizing/managing. I have gone here in the afternoon once before and it was very quick and everything was done inside the clinic. I just think Saturday mornings are just extremely busy for them. Having appointments would be helpful, but they do things smoothly for the amount of people they're seeing in a day. read more

I would put -5 stars if I could! Extremely disappointing experience at this lab. During my recent visit, I was treated with open disrespect by staff. Because I was unfamiliar with the process and moved a little slower, an employee actually said "OMG" to me in front of others. This is unacceptable behavior for any customer-facing role. Patients deserve respect and professionalism regardless of the staff's mood or workload. Management needs to address this issue immediately, provide proper customer service training, and ensure this kind of incident never happens again! read more

This location is very disorganized and unprofessional. Their intake system is awful. You're given a number just to sit down and wait to turn in your paperwork. Once the paperwork is taken , you sit and wait again to be called for blood draws. They are overcrowded with not enough seats for patients, so overflow patients must stand outside. When your number is called, they don't ensure that the patient 'heard' them because we're Outside and they don't bother to come outside to call the number. How can a lab like this exists?? The owner(s) should be fined for operating a lab such as this. I'm sure they charge the lowest fees to the insurance /HMO companies, that's why they have so many client referrals! A majority of the clients seem to be Chinese immigrants who may not be willing to voice their displeasure, or who are used to this type of "cattle call" service. The workers seem harried, cranky and overworked. I wouldn't blame them because of such high daily volume they have to handle. The facility is old, cramped, and not "medical grade" standard. Yes the wait is long but it's pretty organized. The staff is efficient and polite. I didn't experience rudeness at all. Some tips! - As soon as you walk in grab a number. - when they call your number have your paper, ID and insurance card ready. - I came in at around 9:45am and got my blood drawn around 11:45am. - The blood draw itself took literally 3 minutes. - they break for lunch at 12:30 Just don't expect to be in and out. So I've been coming to this location for about six years or so now, and I've always thought that the techs here were as friendly as they could be, considering they serve a great population of our Northern San Gabriel valley. From previous reviews I've read, most people complain that the staff is rude, or that they're disorganized, but that's not always the case. Since the pandemic a lot of these places have taken quite a hit, and like the restaurants I frequent they too will often be short staffed. Each time I've come here, I've arrived early, prepared, and ready to listen for my name or in this case, the number I'm given at the queue. The folks who've posted about this particular location are probably right, that they received rudeness or whatever from the staff--honestly I've witnessed the staff being practically harassed by some of the patients who come in and that sucks! Most times the staff are yelled at by folks, and it's also the most racist stuff, so to that I say, wow! People need to chill! When you visit any of their locations, I've noticed they post signs on their door to indicate what you should have ready when you arrive. I usually have all those in hand, and when I haven't, I've just asked them what I need to do and they're pretty cool about what your next steps are. The phlebotomy techs are very nice. Once you're in the back of the clinic for blood draws, they are quite gracious. I mean, they do this ALL day! And they're so very patient with the older patients and it warms my cockles! Tip #1: if you're coming in on the weekend for blood draws, come a smidge early--there's usually a line. And when you do, make sure you have your referral , medical card/insurance card and your ID--this makes the front window clerk's job a lot easier. Tip #2: Doing urinalysis test? Make sure you drink lots of water, they'll send you to the restroom (which btw is locked, and much nicer than it used to be--locked because Arcadia too, has a large homeless population), and once you're done you can drop off your specimen at the clinic and get your day done. Why isn't my review a 5-star review, it's the small waiting area, and the outdoor space that could use a massive overhaul. Literally is either over watered bushes or too many mosquitoes and flies because of said overwatering. So kinda dank. Anyway, this place isn't that bad, so if you happen to come to this location, be cool, the medical profession has already taken quite a beating from the pandemic, let's not be nasty to their techs just coz we can--that's just not cool. read more

There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are also sanitizing in between patients. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is a bit small. I always find myself circling the parking lot for like 5 to 10 minutes before finding a parking spot. Each parking spot is a bit small and tight. So be careful where you park. Staff: The staff here are very rude, unprofessional, and uncaring. The facilities is very dirty and unkempt. If you need to use the bathroom for a urine or stool specimen collection, you'll have to use the public bathroom that everyone else in the small plaza uses. They do not have their own bathroom in the establishment for patients to use. You also have to ask for a key to use the bathroom. They accept both cash and credit cards. When I went to the window to check in the man sitting behind the desk yelled at me to get a number. He was rude when my number did get called and it seemed he was very angry. The condition of the office can be called dirty. Ripped chairs, dirty walls and a dirty window at the desk were not just grossed but un sanitary. I am so pleased with my experience from this afternoon! I was really hesitant to come here because I saw one of the employee's photo on Yelp and she was terrible to me at a different location. I am really glad I went in today because she wasn't there! I didn't realize I arrived at 1pm and that's when they close for lunch (1-2pm). The nice women opened the doors and took our temperatures. They led us where to go, where to sit and where to stand. This makes me feel very comfortable due to COVID. Although there were only 2 women working today and 6+ people waiting, I felt very safe here. The nice lady changed her gloves in front of me and proceeded to take my blood work. I have always stressed to everyone else who had taken my blood to please do it on my left arm! I am right handed and feel completely useless after getting this done. This employee was the ONLY ONE who listened to me and was able to find a good vein on my left arm. I get incredible anxious and nervous when it comes to sticking needles. She made me feel very comfortable and it was swift and easy!! What's the best part of this? I AM NOT BRUISED! Each and every time I get blood work done, I come out with a nice big bruise and sore arm. This was not the case at all. This is my go to for blood work from now on!!! read more

After waiting for an hour for someone to call back, I called them again. I just wanted some basic info, like if I need an appointment (fyi its walk in only). This place deserves no stars. Brought my baby here to get a blood test. We checked in and the front desk lady had my husband sign some forms. There's a page he wasn't sure if he needed to fill in his name or the baby's name. He asked the lady, " Do I fill in my name or her name?" She did not respond. She was having a conversation with another lady about how many hours they each work during that certain week and how much they made. Hello?!?!?!?!?! We just wanted to ask a simple question. Can't you just answer him and continue you're "so important" conversation?! Finally my husband had to ask again and she answered, "JUST SIGN YOUR NAME." Well rude as fuck lady. Could've save us some time if you were to answer that earlier. You should understand that well since you were sooooo busy gossiping about the hours you had to work and how less you made that week. We got called in inside the room. The first chinese lady told me to hold my baby's legs between my legs. Okay I did that. Then she checked her left arm and said no let's do the right. Okay we did the right. SHE PUT IN THE NEEDLE. TAKE IT BACK OUT. PUT IT IN AGAIN. WIGGLE IT LEFT AND RIGHT. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING ?!?!?!??! One star for the overall experience, however, I can see that front desk receptionists and 2 staffs drawing the blood are working non-stop and they are trying to be pleasant to us. Just the overall operation is poorly arranged. I came on a Tuesday morning to draw blood for the annual blood test. One lady said she came right before the lab opening time @7:30 am, there were already 14 people before her waiting at the door so she got #15, and she was called to draw blood around 9 am, 1.5 hours wait time. I arrived around 8 am, got #25 and was done @ 9:45, almost 2 hours wait time. The whole thing was just unacceptable. Was told that we were sent to this lab because family doctor has contract with the lab but both the doctor and lab management should consider their patients should be treated with reasonable services, especially most people had been fasting since the night before are really hungry with low blood sugar. This can not be an actual lab. Stunned at how trashy the place and experience was. Called the day before to make an appointment- they don't take appointments. Was told they open at 8am. Figured I get there right when they opened and maybe be on time for work - NOPE. They open at 730am and it was already a madhouse. It's completely unclear how you check in - some nice lady in line who had been there before (how they have repeat customers is a mystery) explained you grab a number out of a basket and wait to be called. Except no one ever actually calls the numbers or if done it's at a volume only someone standing within 6 inches of the receptionist could hear. So the lobby is a sea of confused people constantly interrupting, butting in line, etc trying to figure out if their number has been called. So you hover, in the way, hawking every person that approaches the counter so you can guess at when you'll be called. Finally you get called. That's just to checkin your paperwork (oh by the way there's a $1 surcharge if you use a credit card for your co-pay. They do not disclose this up front or have signage telling you this. You get to find out after the fact). Then the hour plus wait begins for you to be called back to have your blood taken. Now god help you if your doctor has requested they collect a urine sample. This will be announced to the room of people (apparently private medical things are discussed at top volume but god forbid the numbers be shouted at the same level). You'll be handed a cup. When you ask where the bathroom is you'll get the vague "down! Go down!" instructions. You will not actually be told you need a key to get in, given instructions or shown where to go. Hopefully some nice lady standing outside, seeing you hold your pee cup, will explain the restrooms are the next building over. So you'll trot 1/2 a block, find the doors locked, circle the building, find a back way in and finally find a restroom. You'll enter the filthy bathroom and try to hold your purse, find wipes in your purse since none were provided, hover over the toilet and collect your sample. You'll then navigate your way through the courtyard, holding your now full cup of hot piss, and proudly march through dozens of onlookers. Hardly humiliating at all How do you feel about social distancing or privacy? Fan of it are you? Then this is not the place for you. Prepare to share a n 8x8 room with another patient, both having blood drawn at the same time. Hygienic! Gross, disgusting, disorganized experience. I'm a senior and go lab every sixth month per doctor's requirement, the nurses blood draw skill is professional , accurate shot and Good job every time that make me comfortable stay with clinic. The unhappiness things happen on site which I observed that caused by customers insurance info pop-out error in computer system, there is miscommunication between each other. Suggestions frequently maintenance and review personal insurance programs to get better health service as well. read more

I was forced to go this lab because my regular lab next door will only do a certain test by specimen and not blood drawn. To save myself some time I reluctantly came here. They do not take appointments here, so you will have to get in line and like everyone else before it opens. Yes, they are efficient in checking you in by order/# for your paperwork, because they wanna get your ass outta there not because they love their job. I was very surprise for urine sample, you go to a bathroom outside down a long hallway. Hello?? So you mean I can have someone else do this job for me then? What happens when someone cheats on their drug test? Who knows. When it was finally my turn, the tech gave me disappointed look when she found out I did not speak Mandarin. And that was important because? You know how other labs gives you a stress ball to pump up your veins? This place rubber band 2 GLASS test tube together and just dumped it in your hand. WTF? I could had break the test tubs and bleed all over my hands! You might as well given me a ROCK to squeeze. While she was talking to another lady, she just stab my arm OUCH! This place is totally unprofessional. My mom was told to get a blood test right away by an urgent care doctor. She arrived here 20 minutes before closing and was ignored. All the workers were either playing with their mobiles or chit chatting. When she told them she needed an urgent test they said they had put everything away and didn't want to clean up again. My mom called another branch and told them of her urgency and the other branch said they would wait for her. Another time everyone here wanted to take lunch at the same time. I've been coming here for YEARS and have never had a problem with the staff or cleanliness. Sure they can be pretty direct and unfriendly but as long as they take my blood, and get the correct results to my physician in a timely manner then why focus on the negative and forget what really matters?! They've always been kind and helpful to me. Today I had issues with my insurance, and knowing I was fasting and not as sharp, she kindly took the time to explain the problem to me, and wrote down how to fix it. Yes there is a line even before they open in the morning, on a weekday. So you can imagine what Saturdays look like. Closed Sundays. Heed the reviews. There was a line 8 people long when I got here at 7:50AM. So everyone lines up and you go inside and get a number and wait for your number to be called. The whole process didn't take more than 35 minutes, which I was grateful for. The lab gets the job done and it's close to where I live. So I don't mind THAT much coming here for annual blood tests done or what not. But if I had to getting regular testing done, I would go elsewhere definitely. Front reception is very curt and always looks mad, but patients are mostly non English speaking older folk so it's a little understandable. read more

I recently switched insurance providers and now I have to go here instead of Quest. I went in on a weekday before lunch. There's one nice thing about this place -- it's fast; I didn't have to wait AT ALL, and I had no appointment. The receptionist was nice. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. That's where the niceties end... I came here to provide blood and urine samples for a general checkup. The lab office does NOT have a bathroom. Instead, you are handed the urine sample jar and directed to take it with a bathroom key outside and down the hall. The bathroom is on the other side of the building. It wasn't at a high level of maintenance but it wasn't unclean. No sanitizing wipe was provided to clean yourself before peeing, so there's no guarantee the sample is not contaminated by skin bacteria. Likewise, how often is the bathroom key sanitized?? There are sick people carrying it to and from the bathroom with a jar of pee. The key went right back up on the wall after I used it. I wonder if it is ever sanitized at all. Of course I suspected this and was as careful as possible, but this shouldn't even be a concern. The person who drew my blood did not ask me to verify the containers when she was done. They always asked me to visually verify my name on the samples at Quest. They were not very thorough in sanitizing the needle entry point before drawing my blood. I couldn't even tell that the swab had any liquid on it. read more
