Garlic Beef, Picanha (Top Sirloin Cap) with sides
    Jodie F.

Meat was dry. It looked tender roasting over the fire pit but seems like they gave us meat that was old / overcooked. I liked the sides. Lots to choose from. We got a little bit of everything & they were all nicely seasoned except the garlic spaghetti which was too soft & bland. My favorites were the potato croquettes, collard greens & plantains. Ceviche & salsa was decent too but it was on the warmer side so I was kind of worried I'd get an upset stomach. It's overpriced for a food court restaurant but if you want variety of sides & are ok with tough meat, this is a decent choice. Our total came out to $70. For what we paid, I wish we weren't disappointed with the meat as I did enjoy the sides.

Picanha steak meal with rice, pickled jalapeño onions and coleslaw
    Jackson H.

I had the picanha steak. The outside sear was a little too salty, and some bits were a bjt tough. It wasn't bad but not as tender or rare as I would have wanted. The sides (pickled jalapeño onions and coleslaw) were tasty though and went well with the meal. Honestly, compared to the other food I've had at the Galleria food court, this place was probably the tastiest - but not fantastic.

This restaurant has a wide variety of options, so I can choose only the foods I like, which is why I go there often. The meat is very tender and delicious, and the hot sauce here is truly addictive.

It's one of those places where you want to add everything to your plate. Birthday well spent 10/10.

Been coming to this location for years whenever I need my Brazilian BBQ fix. Today's meal was as delicious as ever! The salad bar is always fresh and the meat is seasoned well and it can be ordered just the way you want it - I like mine medium but with charred fat! Don't forget to get a scoop of farofa for extra crunchy texture for your meat. It's found in the condiment jars next to hot peppers/paste. The employees are always friendly and they makes sure I get my pao de queijo (cheese bread) hot and steaming. Thank you, La Vaca for a great meal. I will be back soon!

Good thing we could be seated immediately at the bar area, which also has tables and chairs and has the full menu and full service. The inside decor is tiki themed which is fun. Although they were busy and the bar was packed, our server was very attentive and friendly. I'm glad we stayed to eat at the bar because food and drinks were delicious and service was great. Food: - Side: famous garlic bread - it was a lot bigger than we expected! It's a full thick loaf and could have been shared with 4-5 people. The topping is unique and tasty. - Appetizer (dinner special): mussels in garlic wine sauce. The sauce was so delicious that we dipped our garlic bread in it. Definitely recommend. It was a great starter that didn't make us overly full. - Entree (dinner special): I had the sea bass with a mushroom cream sauce. This was the only dish that wasn't that great. The fish was dry and hard and the sauce was okay. I chose the side of snap peas and that was delicious! - Entree: my husband had the 16 oz ribeye steak. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. He chose spinach as a side and it was so good. Drinks: - Macademia nut chi chi - so delicious! The macademia nut liqueur was tasty and fragrant. Loved this tropical drink and would get it again for sure. - my husband got a Diet Coke and it was watery the first time. I think their soda machine wasn't working well. Our server brought us another one, which was better but still slightly off.

The ambiance is great--I have no complaints about that--but the most important part is the food. The steak and salmon were overcooked, so we did not enjoy them. We also ordered edamame, and they served us pale green beans. We tasted them just to make sure it wasn't only the appearance, but they were sour. Why would they even attempt to serve this? The servers were attentive, so no issues there. However, I'm not sure if I would come back. Prices have gone up, but the food quality has gone down.

Just found this place through Instagram ads and decided to give it a try. Just for information,…read moretheir working hours are 9 AM-9 PM, 7 days a week. I mentioned this because we missed it on one of our attempts. Finally, on Sunday evening, my husband and I had a chance to visit Butcher and Booze. Very interesting store, with a delicious smell. There is a huge section of drinks where you can find very unique wines and alcoholic beverages. They also have a section of Japanese drinks, and in another corner, different kinds of unique seasonings, BBQ charcoal, and other BBQ supplies. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Next to the drinks section, there are several tables available indoors and two tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining to enjoy your meals. Their food menu is very interesting, and we tried the Philly cheesesteak and pastrami sandwiches (which they prepare completely in-house from A to Z). The sandwiches were super delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. One thing that surprised me was the amount of salt they used -- it was exactly the right amount, and we didn't get thirsty after eating them. These sandwiches are some of the best we've tried so far, and I highly recommend giving them a try. I noticed a huge samovar (large kettle) and another kettle in the corner of the open kitchen, and I asked about them. Argisht, who noticed my interest and who I believe is behind the kitchen and the delicious food success there, started a very warm and helpful conversation with us and surprised us by serving cups of tea. The tea tasted super soft and delicious. If you have ever tried Middle Eastern tea, you will love this tea. Luckily, they are selling it in the store, if I am not wrong it was Sri Lanka tea, which I have never seen in any store around Glendale or Burbank. Thank you for the great food, awesome store, and very positive and friendly service. With just one visit, Butcher and Booze will become one of your usual spots, so don't miss it!

We decided to try buy some wagyu burger patties for the white elephant (we ended up winning these back during our white elephant - they were excellent!). The patties were juicy, rich, and so tasty! Can't wait to try other cuts! When we checked out, they offered us two small complimentary bottles of champagne and some produce from their refrigerated area. this was so kind of them to do so. This place is like your one stop shop - hot food, butcher, alcoholic drinks, liquor, and other cooking goods like seasonings, caviar, butter etc. Unfortunately they were not serving sandwhiches that day so we didn't get to try but we will definitely be coming back to try! Thanks so much to the staff and Butcher and Booze for treating us like fam.

This is the only steakhouse or restaurant I've found in LA County, that does a true prime-rib dip sandwich, their "Beefeater Dip". Not those things with paper thin slices of overcooked beef, although tasty not a true prime-rib sandwich. I went to college in San Francisco where Haufbrau's were a thing, sadly no more (No German food in sight other than chubby knackwurst) with rather a short selection of quality food served sort of buffet style. There was at least a half a dozen Haufbrau's serving roast turkey, prime rib, corned beef, ham, spaghetti etc. and a selection of sides, mashed and boiled potatoes, turkey dressing, veggie, etc. and great SF sourdough bread. They all had great "French Dip" sandwich's their signature dish, (because of the competition to outcompete) on amazing SF sourdough baguette with true Au Jus. They always had lines around the block particularly at lunch time. In 1971 you could get a hefty French dip, with two sides, mashed potatoes and turkey dressing with gravy and a Coke for 90 cents. Today $30.00 bucks at Tommy's Joynt 55 years later. . Now have lived long enough to tell my story, nothing changes. I can remember my mom telling me when she was high school in 1941, you could buy a hot dog, chips and a coke and entrance to a movie for .25 cents on Fridays, $13.25 without the movie today at Pinks, 84 years later. Just a side note Pink's makes one of the best hamburgers in LA. Go finger, indeed. . The point is, I'm spoiled. A French Dip isn't truly a French Dip unless the beef is thick sliced off a rib roast. Taylors French Dip is the real thing. If anyone knows of a good or better one please let me know. There are somewhat of, not too close, two second places, Tam O'shanters Atwater Village and at Chris & Pits, of the famous bbq sauce, in Downey and Bellflower, but not on par with Taylor's. Checkout Tommy's Joynt on Yelp in San Francisco for the feel of a Frisco Haufbrau, one of the last ones standing. It looks a mess, but in spite of that the food was great. Don't ever get the "Beefeater Dip," if you are not prepared to be unhappy with having anything less, which I guarantee will be your fate. The only thing I don't like about the restaurant is the awful lighting. I feel like I'm in a dungeon, everything feels like a shade of gray and dingy . A hang out for zombies, not flattering to the decor or skin. The place would look a whole nicer if they hired a quality professional lighting designer. It would really bring out the charm of the bygone era design. Plus it would increase their revenue. It's the one thing so many restaurants fail at, and they have no concept of what I'm talking about. But if hey could only see the difference, they'd understand. Wish I had taken a picture, next time.
