I haven't been to a sizzler in like 20 + years. Mainly after some locations closed over the years I just assumed sizzler was like the other stuck in the past, fast casual dining places with similar generic food. I was sorely mistaking, sizzler won't ever be confused with a top notch steak house, but what they do have is great quality food at a really affordable price. They're a little different from most dine in restaurants, when you come here you order first at the front, then pick your seat and your server will find you and bring out your meal. After so many years of this chain kind of being a forgotten restaurant from my childhood I can honestly say if I'm somewhere with a few friends and we're trying to settle on a place to eat, if there's a sizzler in the area they'll be amount my top choices to go. read more

First time in a million years. Place is spacious and clean. Friendly cashier Haily, as well as the food server was. Steaks were good a little grizzle wasn't surprising, potato's very good as was the garlic bread. I didn't observe the salad bar but it seemed quite popular though a bit messy, according to my dining partner. I'm glad they are weathering the storm that has stricken the restaurant business since Covid. I believe we would return especially for their Senior citizen discont of 15%. Glad we visited. On a Sunday afternoon in June, my family arrived at 11am. There was lots of people already eating. It's nice that they opened at 10:30am. The server was nice and good at cleaning plates from tables. Nice ambiance with TVs and people watching. There was wings which was crispy and taste good. The taco filling and shells were good too. Then the tuna salad which is my favorite taste so good. Lots of people so it was hard to take photo of the food. The restaurant is clean and I see staff refilling the food several times while I was eating. The place got busier at 11:30am to 12 noon. I've been to Sizzler multiple times and it has become a bit of a family tradition to go the night before my sister leaves town. This visit, though, left a bad taste in my mouth. My wife ordered the steak and grilled shrimp, but the person at the counter rang it up as fried shrimp. Mistakes happen and we did not think it was a big deal. But when the food came out and my wife mentioned that she had ordered grilled shrimp, not fried, they charged us an additional $2.74 to correct the order. That is where the experience fell apart for me. When a restaurant makes the mistake, the right thing to do is usually to absorb the small cost, apologize and move on. I work in customer experience and a $3 loss is the kind of thing that can turn a frustrating moment into a positive one. Instead, I felt like I was paying for their mistake. This Sizzler provided the most EXEMPLARY customer service for us today. Me and my best friend of seven years love dining at Sizzler and this location truly went above and beyond. The manager, Julian, took our orders and he made us feel valued and appreciated as guests. Our server, Angelica, was also amazing. Almost immediately after we sat down, she brought us our Ribby's Sizzin' steak sauce, toast, and the rest of our entrees. 10/10 would dine here again! I went to Sizzler and i ordered the Salad Bar for dinner which as a senior includes a nonalcoholic beverage. The salad bar was well stocked and continually restocked.. I started with a bowl of the menudo salad which was very tasty. I also served myself a plate of pasta with meatballs, a taco, and chicken wings for my second plate and I enjoyed each of my selections. On the third plate I made myself a green salad from the large selection of salad bar items finally topping the salad with crumbled blue cheese and olive oil and vinegar which I enjoyed. The all you can eat salad buffet is reasonably priced for the amount of food selections, wings, spaghetti, tacos, soups and more. This location has a clean dining room, and typically very fresh food. The food stations are well stocked and maintained. The staff removes plates quickly and does a good job checking on the customers. Have not been here for a over a decade. I am happy I found a Sizzler location because there are a lot less now. Los Feliz location has about 40 tiny parking spots and rest are street parking (some are metered and some residential). This location opens at 10am Saturday morning. Service is pretty wonderful. I can still remember the toasted tasty cheese bread they always served. I opted for my fav the salad bar, $17.49 weekend price. Everything seems similar except missing mashed potatoes and gravy but replaced with other new items possibly the yams. Salad bar is still exactly the same. Tasty and lots to choose from. I like the spinach and adding my own twist to it. I loved the chicken noodle soup but the quality was not as I can remember. The little fried chickens are good. Clam chowder was worth while and don't forget t dip that cheese toast in the chowder too. Ice cream and banana pudding is exactly what I remembered. I remember going to Sizzler as a kid and really enjoying it. Unfortunately there aren't many sizzlers left around. I was drive in Atwater village and past by this one so I decided to check it out. Menu is classic as always. We orders the steak and lobster and steak and shrimp. For drinks we got mango lemonade and strawberry lemonade. They gave us complimentary cheese bread, which I absolutely love! I've loved their bread since I was a kid. It's literally the best. Then our dinner came out fairly quick. I had the lobster and steak. I am going to say this knowing that Sizzler is not a high end steak house, but there was a good portion of the lobster that was inedible. It had some weird black stuff on it, so I only ate a portion of it. The steak and mashed potatoes were decent as expected. The funny part is the cashier was asking if wanted the steak well done or medium well.. yikes. Medium is the most coked a steak should be lol so I stuck with medium. Service was good. The cashier and server were very kind. This is a cool sport o go to every now and then. Don't have high expectations. This is not some high end steak house. It's a normal dining restaurant that serves steak and some seafood. Overall, recommend. read more

We were a large group, 6 adults, two children under 3 and a 6 month old. We were there to celebrate my son's graduation. The salad bar was not attended to by the employees. There multiple empty tables that were filled with stacked dirty dishes waiting to be cleared by the employees. The rushed servers who were there were running around attending to their sections frantically. I have never been to a restaurant that was so short staff that it was that obvious to the customers. Our food was ok until my son's meal came out. He ordered an all you eat shrimp and steak ( rare) with mashed potatoes. The first time the server arrived the shrimp was incorrect and it was sent back. The second time the meal came the shrimp was correct but the steak was overcooked with a side of baked potato. This was sent back for a third time. Steak rare, with mashed potatoes, and the correct shrimp. What could be wrong you ask, Everything dealing with the food temperatures. The steak was cold and the potatoes were ice cold. My son asked me to feel his food as I am a certified served safe manager. This was unacceptable and potential food poisoning. I brought it up to the manger and he made excuses that he was short staffed as he was unaware of the local graduation. How is this my problem i thought. This is your restaurant and your responsibility to ensure the food handling is done properly. I asked the manager, does you cook not have a probe thermometer to test the temperatures of the hot holding food? He said he (meaning himself was not trained to be in the kitchen but was back there assisting.) People with no food handlers card nor serve safe should be handling food. Sizzler corporation what are you doing by allowing this to occur? You are setting yourself up for a lawsuit if someone gets deathly sick because of your protocols. The manager never answered me if the cook took temperatures of the food. I was refunded that meal and the manager said HE would make my son another meal. It never came and we left. This is the first and last time I am going to this particular sizzler on Los Feliz blvd. People save your money and go else where. read more

My wife ordered Malibu chicken and rice pilaf. The chicken and cheese was cold to the touch. The chicken is previously frozen and under cooked(reheated). I order ribs and chicken. My bbq slathered chicken was previously frozen and under cooked(pre-heated). My ribs should have been called "riblets". I was served 3 each. No larger than 3 inches. My plate came with a baked potato, I asked for it to be loaded. It looked like a flat tire. Loaded meant it received a spoon of butter and a spoon of sour cream. Our waitress was the best thing about the list experience. Honestly, the salad bar would have been the better choice for both of us. I won't be visiting this Sizzler again. Just saying. My friend loves Sizzler, so I wanted to treat her to a meal at her favorite place. Mind you I haven't been in years, and the last time I went, it wasn't my favorite. But I was happy to give it a shot for her. When we got there we were greeted by Anthony who was so friendly and helpful from the moment we walked up. He told us about the deals and specials for lunch. Then we both chose a meal with the unlimited salad bar add on. We got 2 drinks, and our meals all for $65 with the tip included. What a deal. We were told that there was no time limit to be there which was good because we don't get to hang out regularly, so we were planning chilling for a while. I won't tell you how long we were there, just know that we took him up on his offer. : ) There were plenty of tables and the place never got full. The parking lot is small, but with metered street parking you'll probably be ok. The food was decent. No it wasn't some great quality of course, especially for the price. But it was good enough that we felt like we got our money's worth. The food was replenished regularly and most of it was fresh. They kept it clean too. You can do a meal or enjoy all the thrills of their salad bar, which also includes the hot bar and dessert! They have great signature lemonades and beverages for days, including beer and wine, by a favorite Line 39! Meeting up with a few friends old and new for a social community hang we got easy parking, though filling up fast even on a weekday night. And had virtually no wait in line. The had all registers open and going to get the party ahead of us and or mix of 20+ in, accommodate and seated. A few of the people in my group are regulars, but even for a newbie to this location (I grew up going to every sizzler from Carson, Los Angeles, California to this one)... Every one of us had service that was beyond amazing from start to finish. Unlimited for $15.99 and all you eat buffet feast that includes everything is a win to me! All the veggie options made for me and some good options for fellow vegans and a vegetarian in the mix as well as the pescatarians and our mostly full group of omnivores. Options for all! I do wish they had some tofu in the salad bar mix, but hey I had plenty, including fresh fruit so I'll take all I can get! I didn't know the buffet would be super labeled with dairy free, egg free, gluten free and so many clearly marked things above the glass guards for all the food. That was tres cool! We had mountains of bread, napkins and all things we need and pulled cash to leave a nice tip for the gentlemen attending to our massive party! Seems like early dinner to close is their busiest. They don't take reservations, but they have so much space! Definitely recommend arriving early for large groups just to see. For me, their steak and lobster tail are a treat! I have always had a properly cooked steak and all edible - no gristle. The salad bar no longer has ambrosia but that's ok. I enjoy the jell-O and ice cream and fresh fruit. No more orange Fanta. Oh well. I take what I like and eat what I take ... no need to pile on because going back for seconds or thirds is part of the fun. I like a neat plate when I eat. So happy with the staff - and Hugo is a fav. It has been over 21 years since we stepped foot into Sizzler. we were taken back in time as all the Old Time favorites can be found on their menu. what we like about Sizzler is the Salad Bar featuring hot and cold selections. We ordered two 6 oz. Surloin steaks that included a side plus a trip to the World Famous Salad Bar. While my companions had that I enoued the 12 oz New York Strip, plus a side. For $5 I was able to enjoy the Salad Bar. I made myself 3 Beef tacos with cheese and Guacamolé. I enjoyed selecting from eight pre made salads and sweet Pineapple chunks. The establishment offers NFL football (Mondat Night Football) on at least two 50 inch flat screens. Our server was kind and efficient, keeping our drinks filled. My Medium rare steak was excellent. Ok I'll be honest.....I forgot Sizzler was still around, sorry Sizzler! My friend suggested it so let's see how Sizzler is making out these days. It's a Sunday afternoon and the parking lot is packed! That's a good sign i suppose, if it was empty, I'd be worried! I went with Steak, chicken and rice pilaf. The steak was just ok, not juicy and tender, just ok. I wasn't crazy about the chicken either but they were both serviceable. The rice pilaf was the best part of the meal which isn't exactly saying something but it is what it is. My friend got the unlimited salad bar which I should have gone for but I know for next time. It seemed popular and my friend went back three times! I saw spaghetti and meatballs, salad, pasta, tacos and more in there and people were all over it. If you want to try a bunch of foods, I recommend the salad bar! Oh and I can't forget the garlic bread, THAT was the best part of the meal and it was as good as I remember! The cost of our meals was very reasonable, about $38 for the both of us and the only real issue I had was the parking. It was so bad that my friend had to park across the street by Best Buy. All in all, it was a good experience, not great but not bad either. The prices are very low, the food is decent and there's a huge selection of foods. Service was extremely friendly and you get self-service fountain drinks, so that was nice. Food: very average. Steak had a lot of salt and pepper, but I prefer that to a bland steak. Malibu chicken was also ok. Salad bar had a bunch of pretty fresh looking salad, and I got a small bowl of clam chowder just for giggles. This location had a ton of seating and was probably quite busy in its heyday. If you're feeling nostalgic, sure go ahead and sit down but I've spent $30 and been a lot happier. STAY AWAY!!!!! My friends and I went here for a friends birthday, and there were BUGS IN OUR FOOD, staff and management was incredibly rude, and about half of the salad bar was missing. We arrived and ordered, and the staff were dismissive and kept staring at us. We suspect that this was because we're young adults, but there was NO REASON for us to be constantly watched, as we were not causing any disturbances. My friend soon found that the Caesar salad had ladybugs in it, and asked the manager for a refund, as we didn't want to eat it anymore. The manager then tried placing the blame on us (for finding bugs) , and we had to fight for a refund. We had to talk to the rude manager for about half an hour to convince him to give us a refund, and he kept interrupting us. I do not remember his name but he was an older black man. We finally got our refunds, and he had the nerve to tell us that he hoped we would come back. WE WILL NOT! I only had the watermelon, pineapple, and honeydew melon, and right after we left, it made me very sick. Melon that is cut and sitting out for too long can harbor very dangerous bacteria!
