This is the policy they always have per the rep that I spoke to. I have NO reason to lie about this. Every mover I talk to had availability but not the right price. I did NOT call too late to book movers. Also, I just saw this reply as the owner waited 3-4 months later to sneak a dishonest reply. I dodged a bullet not working with this company. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I just called for a quote. I felt that the quote was reasonable for 3 movers. Unfortunately, the company was simply inflexible about the move time. They refused to accommodate a 2 hour window. I live in an apartment and we have to reserve the freight elevator. We can only book it for 2 hours. 150 movers will do 8am-10am moves or 11-3p. They will not do 2 hour increments after 10am which obviously would not work for me. It is a shame because. Most people moving from apartments, need to book a freight elevator. The person that I spoke to was courteous and professional. I just wish the company was more collaborative. Ah well, there are other companies.

When they arrived, they got straight to work. We were surprised by how fast they were able to move everything! They each were professional, polite and efficient. We have a tight spiral staircase in our new house, which is a pain to get furniture up. They kindly moved a whole office up the stairs without hesitation or complaints! We appreciated this because we know how much of a hassle it is to move up those stairs. They also were very careful with our items, they wrapped all the items that needed wrapping and carefully loaded and unloaded our stuff. Nothing was broken or damaged during the move. They were able to move 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office and a kitchen in 3 hours (including a 20min drive to our new house). We were impressed by how quickly they got this done! The pricing is extremely reasonable. I feel that the quality of service was worth even more than they charged! This was such a positive experience and I highly recommend this company to anyone needing moving services! We will definitely be using them again!

Everything was already packed and most items were disassembled, with the exception of one bed and an entertainment center. All belongings were staged in one easily accessible area, ready to be loaded. My new home is only 11 minutes away, yet it took a team of three movers over 5 hours, nearly 6, to complete the move. To put that into perspective, I've used movers before with fewer people and a much longer drive of about 45 minutes, and they still completed the entire move in under 3 hours. There was nothing efficient or "graceful" about this experience. The excessive amount of time it took is completely unacceptable, especially given how prepared everything was. To make matters worse, I still have to reassemble my furniture myself. At the pace they were moving, I can only imagine how much longer it would have taken if they had done it. Overall, I feel taken advantage of and would not use or recommend this company.

I called them right up, spoke with Mike, and he told me he could fit me in that evening as his last move. Sa-weet! Mike and his partner had me packed up and moved into my new place in about 2 hours, including driving time. His partner was like superman, a fellow just a little taller than me, carrying every piece of furniture but my mattress and every box up 3 flights of stairs. Yeah, i was amazed. One hour on the phone, fifteen calls to movers and fifteen rejections, the light bulb in my head went off. I remembered reading my cousin Juv C.'s review for M&J's Moving Company. I gave M&J's a call and what do you know? They were available on my move date!! Mike was very friendly on the phone and in person and he was so easy to work with. Fast forward to moving day and Mike and his partner show up and get to work. Mike covered all the paperwork, insurance and stuff like that while his partner starting moving boxes downstairs. I felt bad because we had a bunch of smaller stuff that should have been packed into big boxes, but they didn't complain once. Door to door, the move was 5 hours and they even gave us a 15% discount on top of their already low price. When I handed Mike an envelope with a generous tip, he refused, but I told him that they earned it and they deserved it. He took the tip with a smile and thanked me generously. I thought I was helping, but got fucked in the end. Things were so crazy they had to come back to finish with the move. The house that I was moving my belongings too, was last minute because, I had just been approved last minute.Upon them moving my belongings in, they mest up the door, chipped certain areas of the doorway. When my belongings were placed in the home. My children and I were living in a hotel do to Harvey. The house was just a storage until all the paperwork was finalized. But I had access to the home. I would go there and unpack a little at a time. Remind you, My belongings was moved in on the Dec 4, I wasn't able to move in the home until Christmas Eve. When I finally moved in, that's when I noticed I was missing my toaster, my glass cake plate that was still in the box, I only used once. A wagon wheel that sat on my dinette table. 1 curtain panel. I am missing a whole box of glasses that belonged to my late mother. I tried reaching out to the owner about this. I did agree that he give me $300 for refrigerator and he also agreed to replace my canopy but when I brought it to his attention again, he. Tells me. He would give me $100 for everything. All of this was before I actually moved in to realize items were missing, and a whole box of my belongings is missing.
