Steve was late due to tire issue we have reserved the service elevator to our new place due to his lateness we were over the window of time to use the service elevator Steven begin to yell and shout at mother demanding 2 more hours to unload to truck he refused to compromise due to his delay and only charge an hour be became ruder and aggressive to my elderly mother where I had to suggest she contact the police. I tried to reason with Steve he yelled cussed me amd continously hung up on me. He is extremely unprofessional and States he's the manager. I will continue and report to BBB and all other social media platforms my experience with this company. Because I refused to pay for the additional time he stated they would need and that my dad and brother would take the items upstairs he locked the property in the truck and wants to force us to pay the additional time. We are currently waiting on POLICE will update my review once resolved Update police came say it's a civil matter he wants to take all property to his storage to force payment however since my dad and brother are present he is charging $60 for his guys to take the items off the truck since WE WILL NOT CONTINUE to pay him to RIDE THE CLOCK and overcharge my elderly mother. Awful! Stole supplies out of my home and then got upset with me. Attempted to belittle me by saying I was being kicked out of my home which was so far from the truth. He also said black women don't have money; all of this because I brought to his attention, his workers had taken something that did not belong to them. Please Read This was deeply disturbing when "Texas Best Movers" canceled my move and they offered no help as I texted them and "pleated" with them to "Please come as I had scheduled them 3 weeks in advance.. 2. When they abruptly canceled : * I Lost all my groceries that was already boxed up. * I was not able to release the apartment * I lost money on the cleaning service to clean the apartment * I had to struggle to "Find another moving service to move me with a close dead line to move out of my apartment. 1. On the first week of June, I made reservation with "Texas Best Movers, I sent pictures of my furniture and Steve w/ Texas Best Movers booked my appointment for the move and gave me an estimate for the cost of the move. 2.The week of the move "Texas Best Movers" texted me one day before the move to confirm the move. It was critical that the movers be a my location as scheduled to move me as I expressed to them "Steve with Texas Best Movers" that everything was ready and boxed up including my food.. Everything was ready to be moved on June 29th. 3.Less than 8 hours prior to my move, Texas Best Movers cancelled my move saying their "Truck Broke Down" This was clearly a "lie" they gave me in order to cancel my move because they had a "Bigger Move" that would pay more. This was wrong and I will "Never" use this moving company again. read more

We used Texas Best Movers at the end of February and they were amazing. We were the first on the schedule for the day so they were supposed to be there at 7am. Best believe they were there at 6:55am and super polite. Steve, the owner, comes in and explains what is going to happen. You go room to room with him to verify what they are going to be taking and what needs to be thrown away (they were nice enough to throw the furniture we were getting rid of away in the dumpster for us). The 3 guys had shrink wrap and very carefully moved all of the stuff for us. The contract is 285 for 3 hours and a prorated rate for each hour after that. I believe the guys finished unpacking the truck around 11:30 am. It went pretty quick and only took them 4.5 hours to move a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment into a 2 story house, with the travel time included. Also, there was no deposit needed or asked for, which was great. This is truly a small business which is why, in my opinion, the cost is lower. Please don't think that the lower cost means lower quality. This was the first time we had utilized movers and I am sold on them! They take the craziness out of the move and got it done way quicker than if we had used family/friends and rented a moving truck. Side note: I had gotten quotes from other companies and it seemed like all of those companies charged around $150 per hour, 3 hours minimum plus some sort of deposit or gas charge. read more

They handled my antiques with care. I own several heavy pieces and nothing was a challenge for them. He moved me from one home to a storage unit then when my house was built he moved my storage units to my new home. He moved one of my cousin's in the same way. I personally used Texas Best Movers once, when I moved from the Memorial Area out to Richmond/Katy. They were phenomenal! I learned about them from the Front Desk lady at my daughters old school. When we went to inquire about transferring schools because we were moving, she recommended them to us because it's her husband's company. I couldn't find anything about them online, but figured I would give it a shot. I am sure glad I did! Not only did they quote lower than anyone else, but they were very fast, efficient, and very nice during the whole process. On moving day, they showed up with a 3 man crew. Within an hour, they had the whole place packed up and loaded- and that was moving from an upstairs apartment with taking the time to carefully wrap dressers and drawers in shrink wrap. They were just as fast to unpack. All I had to do was direct them to which room the furniture went, and they worked fast to unload everything. With the drive, the whole process took about 4 hours. Since using them to move back in 2014, I have recommended them 3 times. All three times, they came in with the lowest bids, and my friends and family were incredibly happy with the service. My in-laws used them to move houses from Richmond to Rosenburg, my cousins used them to move from the Heights to Cypress, and one of my best friends used them to move from an apartment to a house in Pasadena. I came across the receipt from our moving day today, and I decided that I had to post them on here. It seems like they get business by just word of mouth because I can't find them online or on any websites. Hopefully this review helps spread the word, and helps them pick up more business. We have used several moving companies over the last few years. This was our worst experience. Steve, initially booked the appointment for us and was very thorough and professional. However 15 mins before the arrival time of Movers, he calls us saying their truck broke down and they can't come. And that's it. No referrals for another company, no help offered. When I told him to please either send another truck if even later that day as we had to vacate our home before midnight and we had a little baby or give us a referral for another company that would help us out. He yelled at me and hung up the phone on me. I usually don't like to write bad reviews that's why I am careful explaining the situation as accurately as I can. But this happened and I don't want another customer to go through the hell we went through because of this company's unprofessionalism. read more

My daughter was working from PA to TX. She drove her belongings in a penske truck. We organized with Texas Best Mivers to help us when we arrived at her apartment. Everyone I spoke with were fantastic to deal with and helpful. The crew was flexible, since we arrived a bit late, professional and extremely pleasant. The evening was quite warm but they took the time and moved everything into her apartment in a organized manner. If my daughter has to move again, she definitely plans to use them again. This is the worst experince anyone can imagine and have. This ppl are inhuman and should not exit. I am yet to find a group this mean,wicked and rootless. I must say the men who came to move me had no bad intentions but the supervisor,the guy who had drove the car was the most wicked man alife. Here is my story.. My uncle got this ppl to move me from one apt unit to another. My met them at my place and paid in full. So the main pack all I had ready to go to the new apartments. They had a big truck. Why the way moving my bed the bed frame the guys misplace some food which was needed to set up my my bed in the new apartment. 4 close to 45 minutes to an hour we were searching every container they had moved to find this three pieces of wood so they can set it up. The manager who kept saying they had another place to be and needed to leave was so inconsiderate. He kept saying the wood were somewhere , nobody took it and it is not in my truck . He said the men don't have them,they must to be somewhere in your belongings somewhere. The mover/ guy who actually saw them and placed them somewhere was unsure of actual place he kept them.The men were good and kept searching the boxes, the containers, the drawers to find the woods for the bed but could not because he didn't know exactly where he kept them . There was no sympathy or concern from this man who claimed to be the supervisor driving the big truck. All he kept saying was we don't have them,they are not in my truck but will be somewhere around here ( my new place, the movers and I kept looking without success) To my greatest shock, I asked them to go back to the old apartment and pick up the remaining things that I had while we continue to search for the pieces of wood to set up the bed and the supervisor agreed but instead he took the men and left. Even though the paid 3 hours I had was not completely finished. This man left all the furniture's including my bedroom set in my living room, my bed chest was still outside my bedroom, nothing was put in the right place, all the furniture's will left laying all over my living room all because the company double booked . This was just what they did, left everything and left. I was shocked that anyone doing business could treat a customer like this.I was completely disappointed, no sympathy, no apologies . I called their phone number multiple times but no one answered,nobody return my call till today. they took the money and the left just because they had to be somewhere else. After paying $245 for 3 hours, my entire apartment had everything everywhere with heavy funitures . It is very sad and this hopeless company should not be allowed to exist . They are mean, the supervisor is wicked like nothing I've ever seen. I don't think they should be dealing with human beings. I contacted the bureaus and file a complaint. I would never recommend this man driving this truck for anything not even to pick up trash because he was mean and wicked. read more

Steve , the owner, was very rude, ignorant and non compliant when asked to wear a mask inside of my home. During the first occasion, he ignorantly went on and on about how he was vaccinated and therefore did not have to wear a mask. During the second move, he showed up without a mask again and proceeded to tell my family member to quit talking to him and to leave him alone because he is vaccinated (all while being a guest in someone's home). He didn't even show up with masks and was completely unprepared while in the middle of a pandemic. He was very obnoxious and made everyone feel very uneasy. Not the stress you need while moving! Had it not been for having to move twice, we definitely would not have used them. Just spend the extra money and get good quality customer service cause you will not get it with Steve! read more

I wish I didn't have to write this review. I wish I never tried to work with this company. It was truly a too good to be true experience. This company came recommended by a friend. The value seemed excellent for the services they promised to provide. We were set up weeks in advance. We confirmed a few days in advance and again that morning of our move. However then an hour later I get a call saying they don't have a truck. They claim their truck broke down the night before. Which may have been the case but they failed to mention that to me in the morning when they confirmed the move. They said they had planned to rent a truck but when they got to the rental place they had no trucks. The entire thing was very sketchy. And even if all true, which very well could have been- they were so insensitive to how disruptive and stressful this was for us. They were defensive and unapologetic. Truly worst customer service I've ever experienced. I am so grateful we had already spoken with three men movers beforehand. Luckily we moved on a weekday so we were able to secure a legit moving company. I really urge you to think twice before using Texas "best". We all hope to find honest, professional businesses that we can refer others but unfortunately, this is not a referral, it is a complaint. I used their services back in September of 2019 and below are a few highlights of my experience. 1. After my move, I called for clarification regarding my bill and Steve started yelling at me. (Please be advised if you question anything that Steve, the owner, doesn't like, he becomes a crazy person and starts yelling at you. I started texting him and he became a bully who lied and tried to intimidate me via text images. 2. Steve told me that I had 90 days to notify him of any damages. I personally delivered an envelope with pictures and the cost of replacing items damaged to his suite on his address before the 90 days. His suite is a cardboard or plastic box sitting on the counter of a grocery store. I had one of the ladies who worked at the grocery store sign and date the acceptance of my envelope. Note: The total value I noted for all broken/damaged or lost was under $200.00, not including damaged clothes or scratched furniture. He said that one box wasn't packed properly, even though these items were each wrapped extremely well in newspaper and the box labeled 'FRAGILE." 3. I sent him a text about a week later and he hadn't checked his box in his suite (grocery store.) He only asked why I waited 90 days to inform him. He told me he had 15 days after the 90 to respond to me. After texting me that he was going to mail me a response around 1/22/20 which was well after 12/22/19. When his letter arrived, he had dated it for 12/22/19 so be careful as he lies on his correspondence to cover himself. Needless to say he will not honor the contents of my envelope and photos that I hand carried to his "office." I can't refer Texas Best Movers because of what I've experienced. Steve's lack of integrity, honesty and professionalism are acceptable, especially after having used him in the past, in other moves, I honestly feel that Texas Best Movers doesn't care about the condition of your items when they are delivered; only that they are delivered. Then the fun begins when you have to hassle it out with Steve to get reimbursement on a claim, large or small. read more

I made an appointment with Steve, calling on phone and they were just in Time, the workers (labors) were hard worker and was doing everything pretty swiftly , we made a contact for 3 hours and I felt like it would be less then that , cause we already moved out some stuff before . So he told me they would charge me 3 hours and if we need any extra hour they would charge me $79 extra . At the meantime Steve he came to my dad and be like to make the payment now ( it was after 2 hours later and they were almost done ) he gave my dad a paper where he charged for 4 hours , my dad was asking why they need. 4 hours since they seem almost done . He said ,nope it won't be done before 4 hours and if we completed it before that time we will give u money back . I will be in downstairs . So my dad trust him and gave him the money for 4 hours .exactly 2 hours and 56 minuets they were done with the whole thing but didn't even told us . We were in third floor when I notice that they start their truck and was leaving our place without informing us . What kind of robbery is that ???? They are liar and don't believe that fucking ass Steve guy . He is fucking lie and unprofessional this company will be kicked out soon because of their fraudness . I scheduled a move on Tuesday after another moving company scheduled me for the wrong date. I stressed to Steve that I had to be out by Saturday. We spoke Friday evening to confirm everything with my move and moved forward for my move Saturday at 2 PM. He called me Saturday afternoon at 1:09 to inform that my SCHEDULED MOVE had to be pushed back to 5 pm because the move he was on was taking forever because "the clients were being picky with their things and how they are being handled". This was not going to work for me because my storage unit closed at 5 pm! He offered NOTHING, but to move the next day ( Sunday) which I could not do because I was scheduled to be out of my storage unit that day! When I asked him if I rented a truck and moved everything to one location could they just unload the truck. Steve told me sure, but you still have to pay the same price. The only discount he was able to give was for moving the next day. He told me that he could not take a loss from the move he schedule with me today, even if I just needed them to unload the truck I RENTED! This is not how you conduct business. This was the worst moving experience I have ever endured and would NOT recommend this company to anyone! They mad my weekend HORRIBLE scrambling to figure out a last minute move with about 4 hours to spare! read more
