They moved me 1-2-2019. They showed up about 15 minutes late to the location, but Houston traffic can be unpredictable - not worth dinging them for that. They were to pick up a bedroom set, shop-desk, a standing tool box, and some medium and large moving boxes from the upstairs of a residential house, and then pick up the brunt of the items from a storage unit a mile away. The storage items had a dining room table, a leather sectional, ~ 20 medium to large moving boxes, a 5' safe weighing about 600 lbs, a mountain bike, a real wood TV entertainment center, and a real wood shelf. There was also a fee for the moving of the safe (seems to be standard for all moving companies). Saying all this, the guys did great! Every thing that could be scratched or scuffed was very well wrapped and protected, even the safe. They did a meticulous job of protecting my property. They were professional, hospitable, friendly, safety-minded, and very efficient. I'd highly recommend these guys and would use them again. We moved down the street so we hired a local company. It was recommended by a friend. We paid for 3 guys. One of the guys (older gentleman) did almost everything while the other two just watched. He disassembled, wrapped all the furniture while the other two just watched. They went room by room. I understand it's a process but it seemed very dishonest. They spent over 8 hours. I got so frustrated that I started helping move the furniture around hour 2. But the two guys didn't help. They avoided eye contact. I wouldn't have written a review BUT we had just gotten the new home painted and unfortunately it has to be done again. Scuff marks everywhere, scratches on the walls, broken mirrors and light bulbs, scratched up dented furniture. And our old home floors were completely destroyed. They were new floors we put in. It kind of felt intentional. I hope this isn't anyone else's experience but our experience was awful. read more

These guys worked their butts off. I have a lot of heavy wood furniture. They made it look easy. I was impressed. I noticed the damaged pics on their previous reviews however my belief is sometimes things get broken when moving. It's not like they are throwing stuff around. My tv leg did get broken and the owner immediately offered to pay for new legs immediately. I told him not to worry. It is all good. They moved a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo upstairs to a manufactured home Montgomery County and did it in less than 4 hours including the hour drive time. Well with in budget. In fact I gave them the money I saved as a big tip. I hope that made them happy. :) Last time I moved it took them 6 hours to move me like 10 miles and they took a lunch break. I had a decent amount furniture moved to a 2 story condo -most of the things went upstairs. The guys were very professional, knew what they were doing, efficient and thorough. All the furniture was wrapped in drop clothes and/or shrink wrapped. After delivery everything was assembled back as it was before and they were very cautious not to knick any of the walls. I was very unhappy. Nine o'clock turn to 10 o'clock. I was quoted 294 which I felt that was a lot for my small duplex apartment. I had already started moving boxes prior to hiring them. I had 10 boxes maybe 12 I queen bed one table four chair and a small sectional. Small tv stand and tv . After packing up they took a hour lunch break. There wasn't a distance my move was less than a mile. So tell me why did I pay over 400.00 almost 5. I will never hired them again. My apartment could of taken less than two hours if your body move as fast your mouth . Then the hidden fees I wasn't told about. If the girl on the phone would of explain in details. I am writing this review while I've been waiting for them on this Sunday morning for over an 1 1/2 . They called me this morning to say they are running late. Rudely talking to me like they are doing me a favor by them coming out on a Sunday. Ummmmm, they are charging me a premium 130 bucks and hour and a huge trip charge. They charge on the weekend 30% more then a week day for any one wanting to know. During the conversation he hangs up on me and calls me 10 mins later and says, " I hung up because I was entering your GPS information in." These are the most unprofessional people that I ever hired in my life. When they did come, they said there is an extra fee for the tv on top of the extra fee for the weekend and trip charge. I am here to write a review on Los Flores Movers. I hadn't moved in 5 years, and I do understand NOW that prices have skyrocketed. The guys were NICE; however, they moved entirely slow and on purpose. They moved slow because the price was 150.00 an hour. When I called to get a price, the lady told me $130.00 an hour on Friday and $150.00 an hour on Saturday. I chose Friday. When Sergio arrived, the $130.00 was scratched out and I was told $150.00 an hour. I had no choice because I had to be out of the apartment, and it was too late to find anyone else. Sergio did a good job, but Robin and Rodrigo were lazy as hell. They knew it was by the hour and I had to tell the other men to grab items, move faster. It's sad. I ended up paying 759.00 for a 1-bedroom apartment. I moved my own TV's because they did not do it. They charged $35-$45 for those. SMH These people are a scam. I wish I had a man there to force them to move faster. I had maybe 6-7 boxes. I moved my own clothes, and they did not even put my bed together after the move. I strongly debated between 3 and 4 stars. Los Flores completed a move for us on 3/13. I initially contacted them on Yelp while I was still shopping around and they were the least expensive option. I have to note that when I reached back out to book them, via Yelp, they did not respond (and actually still haven't responded on Yelp...). I had to actually call them to book. I'd given complete information, including an inventory on Yelp, so this was annoying because in two subsequent calls they asked what I had / where I was moving. I was scheduled between 9-10am and the movers arrived on time at about 9:30. For the most part, the move went well. I do have to say this was the longest move I've ever paid for (I've always moved from 2 or 3br THs to SFHs or other THs, so there was nothing different about this TH to TH move than others). I will say that they wrapped my belongings (we were allowed to sign the waiver for our TVs, the charge to move them otherwise is $1 per inch) more carefully than any other mover I've ever hired and that was what took up a lot of the additional time at Location #1. At location #2 they were just a little slow. Nice men, but slow and I eventually started to feel like they were doing it on purpose. ***In between locations, they decided to take a lunch break. We were not informed that this would occur at any point during or after booking the move. They told us after finishing Location #1 prior to heading to Location 2. We really didn't appreciate this because we expected our move to be completed earlier in the day and their choice to do this caused an obvious delay when we had other things to do. We also had to reconfirm that we was not being charged for the time that they'd taken. I called the office to complain and I don't think they understood the issue was that they should've told me in advance so that I could plan -- not when they were doing it.*** The other reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is that we had to assist the movers with getting our belongings out of the truck because as I stated, they were taking a very long time and we had other things to do. The move was completed around 4:30 and the tip was decreased accordingly. I am writing this review to formally express my utmost disgust and disappointment in your services (or lack there of) regarding a scheduled move for my parents that was scheduled for a window of 1:00pm-5:00pm on Friday, June 8, 2018. This move was scheduled more than a week in advance. It was again confirmed a day in advance, as well, by my father. On the day of the move, my father also phoned you all around 12:30pm to get a better idea of what time during the window of the move that he should expect the movers to arrive. Your office specifically updated him that the movers would arrive between 4:00pm-5:00pm. At 4:20pm, when no calls from the movers had been received or any communication made, my father and I (separately) began calling your office. No one answered the phone at all (or returned any calls) between 4:20pm and 5:00pm. Your office is listed at closing at 5:00pm. Multiple voicemails were left for you all by my father and myself, as well. I also emailed the office requesting a phone call back immediately. Still no reply or call back. My parents had to be completely moved out of their storage unit by 6:00pm that evening, June 8, 2018 - this was made very clear when scheduling this move and reiterated on the day before and the day of the move. My parents (retired and in their mid 60's) were forced at the last minute to move everything themselves in 98 degree weather. You all NO-SHOWED, NO-CALLED. This is inexcusable. I have used you all for 3-4 moves over the past 7 years and referred dozens of people to use your services. I will NEVER, EVER use you again, nor ever refer a single person to you again. P.S. Around 7:45pm on June 8th, the movers (the actual moving crew) called my father and said they were around an hour away. Needless to say, my father filled them in on what happened and told them not to even bother coming out; and OH BY THE WAY, there was an aloof comment made by the movers that the office staff messes these things up (frequently). Sad. You may want to rethink your office staffing choices. You all should employ a 24/7 live answering service to receive any calls that come in during office hours AND for any after hours calls that you all choose not to answer. It would roughly cost you less than $100/month to do so and maybe, just MAYBE resolve these botched moves. Highly disappointed. read more

So far, not off to a good start. Confirmed a start time of 9am today. Received a call today at 9:09am with the driver apologizing for being late. Their office is closed today and someone forgot to leave the keys to the truck. Driver said he will be at my pick up address in 30 min. I called back the driver at 10:12am to ask for the status. He said someone will be at their office in 5 min to give them keys and he should be here in 20 min. So we start the day being 1.5 to 2 hour delay. Moving into a high-rise, I have a schedule time allowed to use the freight elevator and that time is gone so that's great. This company was referred to me by my wife's colleague so this is disappointing to say the least. We will when they arrive and will update this post. Update: arrived 1:45 min late. 2 men instead of the confirmed 3. Was told to move my tv it will be $1 per inch for insurance. Was never informed that on the phone but agreed anyway bc I don't have a choice and need to get this move done. So it's taking a longer time of 2 men instead of three. I look forward to a call from the owner or management about this asap. I will say that Ricardo is very polite and is a positive part of this move. Wow, I can't say enough about this team of movers. I have a 3 story home that was being designated to 3 different locations (two separate storage units and to my current home). They moved it all to where it was supposed to be, efficiently and carefully. The 3 movers i worked with, were so kind and helpful. They asked me questions rather than just assuming that they knew what should go where. They were careful with all my breakables, wrapped and taped items i hadn't had a chance to pack yet, and even took my curtains and rods down. I don't know how i would have gotten out without them. This would have been 5 stars except... we had them move us from an apartment to a house and they did a great job. We loved the crew so a few weeks later we booked them again just to unload another truck we drove in from Arizona. We requested the exact same crew. They were supposed to call the day before, which they didn't do. They were supposed to be there at 9:00 am. They showed up at 8:00, upset that they had to wait until 9. I have now used Los Flores for 3 moves, two personal residence and one office move. Each time they have provided exceptional service and work harder than any moving crew I have ever hired previously. They charge a very honest and competitive hourly rate with a more than reasonable one time trip charge. With a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath two story house, they were able to complete the entire move to the new location (10 minutes away) in 4 hours and I never worried about anything being damaged. Small freezer dented, rolling cart missing a wheel, still can't find my laptop that I told them to put int the library, but my favorite? 60" tv cracked in at least 4 places. Sorry for the bad review, but my move today did not go well. I moved into a new house with my fiancé and our move took 5 hours. I've used this company before, and in the past they've been efficient, but today to they we're incredibly slow. They promised 3 people, but instead showed up with 2 ( one guy called in sick according to the business manager). Now let's be clear, my move consisted of about 15 boxes, 2 chairs, a bed, and two dressers. This took over two hours to get on the truck. Two hours... Then we went to a storage unit to load stuff that was already prepared for a move (from the last time my fiancé moved. That was another hour (not including extra time they took to actually get to the locker, about 20 minutes after I did). Loading the items in the locker took another hour. We finally get to our destination and was so fed up that we just told them to leave everything in the living room. Also, they charge $40 of "insurance" for moving TVs. That's unheard of in my opinion. If you're a professional mover, insurance should be built into the hourly fee and you should probably offer a guarantee that you're not going to break all my stuff... I ended up moving my huge tv myself in the back of my sedan... So now I'm exhausted, out $500+, and have a living room full of boxes, tables, and everything else we got moved. The guys were nice, though. I hope the owners see this review and use it to do better. They've lost one customer, but perhaps can get their service back up to historic levels. We moved into our new place between Christmas and New Year's. Moving is never fun. No one has ever questioned this to be true. "Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to take all of my things that I've spent years collecting and months/years organizing, and dump them into boxes so that I can start the whole process over! Yay" That sentence has literally never been uttered or typed before. So with the unfunness of moving firmly established, let's talk about ways to make it more bearable. Step 1: Hire Los Flore movers. (Note: There is only 1 step). These guys are great. They are as cheap as anyone in town, incredibly fast and efficient, and all friendly and nice. I saw a guy wrap an entire couch in their special saran wrap, throw it on his shoulder (we're talking full-sized couch) and walk it to the elevator in a matter of about 2 minutes. It was really quite impressive. They were so great, I gave the movers each a bottle of champagne from our New Year's festivity repository as a gift to say thanks. Are there really any perfect moving companies? I will say this, Oscar and his guys worked hard for the 9 hours it took them to move me from a 3-story townhome to a 5th floor interior apartment. Some setbacks for them were taking my bed apart (it took them an hour, not to mention how long it took them to put it back together - it's a regular Queen size bed, btw), and the fact that the freight elevator in my apartment building only goes to the 4th floor parking garage so they had to go up a parking garage ramp to gain entry to my floor. So, okay, 9 hours ... I guess. Still, at $119/hr my furniture should have zero new scratches; some of my dining room chairs were unwrapped and got scratched. (They had some minor scratches before the move that I acknowledged to the guys, but not enough for me to be all over them with a wood color stain like I was yesterday.) My safe was scratched also. Further, I don't think a trip charge and charge for moving the television should be added. I also didn't appreciate the fact that it wasn't until I pressed them that they admitted that the TV payment is not mandatory, just insurance, but then they scare you into taking it. To summarize: okay job, but for the price I expected more. read more

I've used these guys twice. Both times, they've moved me from a 3rd floor to a 3rd floor, one location with an elevator and one without. Both times, they arrived on time, took great care of my belongings, worked efficiently (much appreciated since they charge by the hour), and were incredibly cheerful throughout the process. They didn't seem to mind having to move my stuff up all those flights of stairs! My HOA also gave me some problems when the movers' truck was trying to get out of my old apartment complex (I didn't inform the HOA that I had movers that day so to get their petty revenge they dragged their feet in opening the side gate). That added about 20 minutes to the move, and they didn't charge me for that wasted time. Don't be off-put if you don't speak Spanish--in my experience the leader of the crew is always fluent in English, even if some of the other movers might not be. Highly recommend, and even though I hope I don't move again soon--I'll be using these guys next time! Note: I was fully packed, and they moved me from a 3rd floor 1-bedroom to a 3rd floor 1-bedroom in just over 3 hours. Would have been less if the HOA was cooperating. read more

Moving is stressful, and my last move was the beyond stressful. It was supposed to be easy, from a one bedroom in the same complex to a big two bedroom. Nope. The two bedroom smelled like William Morris himself lived there for the last 56 years. There was NO WAY I was living in that place, no matter what kind of cleaning they tried to do. Los Flores moved me, not once but twice. I had zero problems scheduling, and the prices were MUCH better than other companies I have used in the past. The 3 men arrived EARLY, and worked with a smile. On the second move, it was a bit more tricky, but again, they showed up early ready to work. They were everything I could ask for, making sure they wrapped all furniture, and were careful with our valuables. You also get a 3% discount for cash payment vs credit card. It's amazing the amount of things I was able to fit on my one-bedroom apartment. So when it came time to move to my new house I decided to go with professionals. You can schedule them over the phone. If you pay cash it's better, they add a fee for using credit cards. No checks allowed. They give a 5 hour window which kinda blows but fortunately they showed up around 1pm (they had quoted 12-5pm). The team of three movers was polite and efficient. I did find them to be a tad slower than I expected when they were wrapping my belongings in plastic ( to avoid scratching or damaging). They will also alert you if they see any damage prior to wrapping up the pieces. It took about 4 hours to move my things which wasn't too shabby considering my apartment was on a second floor and they were moving me to a 3-story house Minus one star because I was charged $60 to move my big ole DLP TV (yea, haven't upgrade to them fancy slim LEDs. I was very impressed by these guys. They were reasonably priced, fast, and careful with my stuff. I don't think you can ask for more from a local moving company or any moving company for that matter. I liked that when I called to ask questions I got a live person immediately. The person I spoke with was able to explain their moving process clearly so that there weren't any surprises on moving day. I was able to schedule a specific time for my move (although they were a little late in arriving). I liked that they charged the same hourly rate regardless of the day or time you were moving. I received some other quotes that charged more for moving on the weekends or during the end or begining of the month. All their standard moves come with a 3 man crew and 24 foot truck. When they arrived they took an overview of what I had, and then they started to move. The movers were friendly and professional. They wrapped my large pieces in blankets and shrink wrap. I was shocked by how fast they were able to move me out. I moved from The Woodlands to the Heights. I was worried that they might take their time during the drive down, but they kept pretty good pace with me. My only negative thing to say would be that I noticed a few minor nicks and scratches as I was unpacking my stuff, but I figure this was pretty typical when moving. Would I use them again? I've never really had to move myself before, so when I leased an apartment and had to move my bedroom stuff out of my parents' house, I was pretty nervous. These guys had some good reviews and they quoted me a decent price, so I went ahead and scheduled them for a Saturday morning. Being Houston, of course it was pouring rain the morning of the move. These guys didn't even seem to notice. The three of them showed up right on schedule and had smiles on their faces the whole time, even though they were getting soaked. They put quilts down on the hardwood floor, "So we don't mess up your beautiful house." Granted, I only had one bedroom's worth of furniture to move--a queen size bed, dresser, desk, bookshelf, nightstand, and office chair; I'm not sure how it would have gone if I'd have to move a whole apartment or house. But for the few items of they did move, they were simply amazing. They were super fast and yet very careful with my stuff. They wrapped everything in plastic and then in quilts, so nothing was damaged or scratched. The best part was, they got to my house at 8 AM to pack everything up, and left my apartment at 9 AM having finished the whole job. They disassembled everything themselves and then reassembled it all on the other end, in one hour. They do charge for a minimum of two hours, but I really didn't mind paying for the extra hour because it was such a hassle-free process. Also note that paying in cash is better because they charge a small fee for credit card payments. Hopefully I don't have to go through the moving process again anytime soon, but if and when I do, I will be using these guys. read more
