    Menu 5/31/23

We called and made reservations at a place called Risorante la Posta. Turns out it's real name is La Petite. That felt like a bait n' switch. The menu and cost was different than expected but the staff was very kind and helpful explaining the change. Simone should shut off the other website. So we stayed and had a nice meal, just not what we planned on.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a good friend that just happened to find it. It's top of the Italian charts with prices like your local place. I can only say good things about it! I had a tomato, basil, mozzarella salad (caprise) and mussels. The hit of the show in the salad was the mozzarella- no, wait the wonderfully ripe tomatoes - no wait, it was the basaltic dressing. Ok, maybe it all of that put together! Then those mussels came out. Hot, sweet, in a delicate and I do mean delicate sauce that I was just forced to sop up with that delicious Italian bread that came with it! Oooooooo....., My wife had the monkfish with salmon in a champagne sauce and she said it was wonderful, I tried it and I completely agree with her assessment! At the end it they gave us limoncello on the house. What a nice touch! We're big fans of this place, we will be back!

Great for drinks before dinner. Unlike a lot of the places in Florence, they have an extensive cocktail menu. If you're looking to grab some drinks before or after dinner, this is the spot! They have a very romantic outdoor seating area with lights, plants, hearers. Really a great spot

This spot was recommended to us my our tour guide who is a local. I can't speak for the food, but the cocktails were great and we were able to sit outside and listen to dance/lounge music, which added to the atmosphere.

My husband and I were going to the other restaurant but we changed our mind coz it's a bit too secluded. And we found this restaurant along the way. The ambience was wonderful, service was superb and the food was excellent! We had Bruschetta for appetizer, the Ravioli with cream and nuts and Tagliatale with Puccini mushrooms and Cream for first course, Bistecka Florentina and Veal with Butter & Sage, with Zucchini Flower Blosssom. Everything tasted great, and so was the house red wine! 06/13/16: Our second time here and all the food that we ordered went beyond our expectations! The owner's son, Tomas, is very hands on and our waiter Simone' was excellent!

We had a pleasant lunch here. As usual, my family had a wide variety of food. Gnocchi, asparagus risotto, grilled salmon, and pasta with tomatoes and cheese. It was very good solid Italian meal. Nothing too over the top, but a good choice if you're in the area.

Service here is good. Food is pretty good. We had the clams to start, the the spaghetti frutti de mar, and finally veal saltimbocca with ham. Not a ton of seafood in the frutti de mar and the saltumbocca was a bit salty but it was all tasty.

Outdoor dining area - very romantic

We received excellent service and excellent food here! The waiters were extremely attentive, which I haven't found many others in Florence to be. The atmosphere was romantic, the patio was warm under the heat lamps and I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience with them. We had the mussels in white wine, ravioli rosa, steak and osso bucco. Everything was wonderful. The mussels had great flavor and consistency. I asked for my steak medium rare, but they brought it rare. Because I love steak, it wasn't a big deal with me. Osso bucco had great flavor as well. For dessert we had tiramisu. It was good- nothing exceptional. Overall great experience.

Nicely set back a block from the bustling Piazza Della Republica. Standard Tuscan fare with excellent Gnocchi.

The owner and staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The wine bar itself is a small quaint little place. Probably seats about 12 to 15 people total and has plenty of windows so you can see passersby and people watch. The cheeseboard? Get the cheeseboard. They do a fantastic job of pairing everything together to really bring so many flavors to your tastebuds. Their house wine is phenomenal and they take great pride in finding the grapes/different varietals to make it come to life. They have a both a red and a white house wine option. The second time we went - and yes, we went more than once in the four days we were there - we enjoyed one of the sandwiches and it was absolutely amazing. The bread, I can't even explain, the bread it's so flavorful and so good and so light. That paired with the delicious meats and cheeses were 100% worth it. I definitely recommend this location to anybody who is visiting Florence regularly or for their first time.

November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. Watch out for the pigeons getting ready to take your crumbs too, you can see them on the ledge of the building getting ready to attack. A must visit for Florence.
