Really cool little spot with excellent food, drinks and decent beer selection. They had a nice Italian craft IPA on draft which made me happy. There is seating inside for maybe a dozen people but we chose to sit at one of the 3 small tables outside to enjoy the nice weather. Draft beer was $6 euro and the mixed drinks varied from $8-12 euro. We met Alycia who is one of the owners. She was very pleasant and friendly. We stopped for a drink and stayed for 3 hours. We also stopped for a 2nd happy hour on our last day in Florence. Worth checking out if you happen to be in town and want a quieter spot. We loved it. read more

This small wine bar was by far one of my favorite places we visited while we were visiting Florence. The owner and staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The wine bar itself is a small quaint little place. Probably seats about 12 to 15 people total and has plenty of windows so you can see passersby and people watch. The cheeseboard? Get the cheeseboard. They do a fantastic job of pairing everything together to really bring so many flavors to your tastebuds. Their house wine is phenomenal and they take great pride in finding the grapes/different varietals to make it come to life. They have a both a red and a white house wine option. The second time we went - and yes, we went more than once in the four days we were there - we enjoyed one of the sandwiches and it was absolutely amazing. The bread, I can't even explain, the bread it's so flavorful and so good and so light. That paired with the delicious meats and cheeses were 100% worth it. I definitely recommend this location to anybody who is visiting Florence regularly or for their first time. read more

It is small with intimate and close seating with companions and others from adjacent tables but also warm and inviting. The artwork is modern and contemporary. Another plus - they remember you and your order/preferences. This hidden gem is only a couple of blocks from the Arno River and far enough away from the Ponte Vecchio so as not to be a tourist trap as also reflected by their prices and warm genuine hospitality. It is nearby the Piazza Santa Maria Novella and located only a few steps from the intersection of Via Palazzuolo and Via del Porcellana. I would recommend the house red (chianti) and a caffee latte if that's your jam. Coffee is smooth and not acidic - SO good! read more

This small sandwich shop just a few steps from the grand Hotel Baglioni has a great selection of wine and spirits to go along with the sandwiches. It only has a couple of tables and the stools are not extremely comfortable, but the sandwiches are good. The bread is like a focaccia, but I cannot pronounce the name. And they have an excellent charcuterie plate that you can order as well. read more

Our server here was just lovely! The bartender was cute and friendly. They accept credit card. We paid separately every time we ordered something. I have so many transactions on my card from this place lol. The house wine is only 3 euros for a glass, and I love it. If you order a double shot of whiskey, it's only 5 euros. A friend found this place on Google, and we lucked out. They were so attentive with our empty glasses. That's probably why we kept ordering more drinks! I studied abroad in the summer of 2022, and my friends and I stumbled upon this gem. We went multiple times a week. Everything about La Boite is perfect. For the morning: cute ambiance, I would go many mornings to get a really tasty cappuccino. For evenings: This is where La Boite really shines. Their drinks are cheap (6 euros for cocktails), strong (but you don't taste the alcohol), and tasty. Unlike lots of other places, their Hugo's are refreshing but not too sweet, and their Moscow mules have a lovely bite. Their cheese boards are INCREDIBLE - huge servings of creative, tasty, and ever-changing combos of cheeses, tomatoes, meats, and sauces. At 18 euros for a large one (the perfect size for my group of 7 friends to share before dinner) l, they're an absolute steal. The music changes every night but always adds to the cozy, warm ambiance. And last but not least, the staff is truly special. Their energy, helpfulness, and contagious smiles made us come some nights just to see the bartender. I cannot recommend this place more - going to La Boite will be a wonderful part of your trip to Florence! read more

La Boite is such a hidden gem. It's cozy -- there are probably only 5 or 6 tables in the whole space and only one staff member working behind the bar. It's the perfect spot to grab a late afternoon aperitivo, especially if you have a very late dinner reservation and want a snack! Glasses of wine are super reasonable and filled to the brim. The star of the show is most definitely the meat and cheese board. You can order a small or large, and a small is plenty of food for two. Our board came with two plump balls of mutz, brie and manchego plus lots of prosciutto, salami and bread. The ambiance is very relaxing and they had a wonderful rock playlist on. I accidentally found this small intimate neighborhood restaurant on my first night here in Florence. Their menu is very simple. I ended up having a small platter of various cold cut, cheeses and bread with a glass of Prosecco. It was delicious. The service was fantastic and the prices were very inexpensive. We stumbled in here one night after walking the streets back to our hotel. Open air, small, a real locals kind of place. We came for a couple glasses of wine and loved it! In fact, we came back every single day! The wine is good and quite inexpensive. Just a great place to hang out to absorb some local culture. We got to be friends with Julia who was pouring our wine every time we were in. She was full of energy, great recommendations, and fun to be around. She had great playlists going all the time. I asked if she had any aglianico and she said yes, but it was in the back. She said she'd be happy to open a bottle for me! The best no-frills lunch spot. It's open during the area's usual shut down between 3-7 so we made the hike after an afternoon tour with hunger pains. Their house white wine La Boite is wonderful and their beer selection unique! We tried two different paninis and fell in love with the Gunther (definitely helped that it matches my name!) I'm not a giant fan of traditional Italian meats so it was nice to have a few options outside of the expected offerings. Absolutely incredible place. It was entirely due to the wonderful attitude and attention to detail of our server, who put together our sample plate of meats and cheeses that both looked and tasted amazing (that's the attached picture). The hospitality was second to none, as foreigners we really could not have felt more welcome. One that note we also saw a dozen or more locals come and go through the shop, so we figure they must like it too.... which makes perfect sense, because our amazing meal including wine, sandwich, cappuccino and beautiful (and I do mean BEAUTIFUL) meat and cheese platter set us back less than 30 euro. A Boite was a great experience that I would happily have again and would recommend to any of my family or friends. While staying in Florence, my boyfriend and I passed by La Boite since it was right near our B&B. We are so lucky to have found it! We came 2 times in a 2-day stay! Once we came for aperitivo in the late afternoon. We ordered the House bottle of red wine and we asked the waiter to make a charcuterie board for us. He did a beautiful job and it was so fresh, delicious and affordable! The toast with the Brie, walnuts and local honey was AMAZING! All together, I want to say the bill was around €15! The next morning we came for a quick breakfast. We got a cappuccino & caffe latte with two pastries which were also fresh, delicious & affordable (around €5 all together!). The bar/caffe is small and intimate. They keep the doors and windows wide open so you get nice fresh air and a view. Have been dropping by here throughout my stay in Florence, and have only had great experiences. They have a lovely selection of pastries, nice and hardworking staff, and amazing cheese and charcuterie plates. Recommended experiences: A cappuccino and pastry (loved their jam filled croissants!) is the perfect way to start your day. I know it may seem strange to eat such a small breakfast, but it's how the locals do it, so give it a try! Stop in for a light dinner or late night snack in the form of a cheese/charcuterie plate and a glass of wine. The plate comes with three meats, a sliced hard cheese, brie melted on dark baguette slices with either walnuts and honey or olive oil and pepper, fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and greens, AND a couple large pickled and roasted artichoke hearts. It's a miniature feast, and perfect for splitting with a non-vegetarian companion. You can also ask for an all-cheese one if you want something just for vegetarians. read more

Really enjoyed this spot! Came around 10pm for a late night drink/snack. I don't think they have a huge food menu and it's a small shop with low tables and stools for seating. Felt like you could fit maybe 15-20 people here max. Thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of house wine for 8 euros! and one of the best charcuterie boards we had all trip long. We got the large for 15 euros for 2 people (that didn't have a real dinner). Otherwise a small would suffice for just something to snack on. Every cheese and meat on the platter was delicious. Also comes with Foccacia bread. It looks like they serve coffee in the morning too, but sadly didn't get a chance to make it back a second time during our stay in Florence.
