Everything! The service is friendly, quick, and helpful. The food (sandwiches and charcuterie) was fresh , filling, and tasty. The atmosphere feel authentic for a locals hangout. It is small with intimate and close seating with companions and others from adjacent tables but also warm and inviting. The artwork is modern and contemporary. Another plus - they remember you and your order/preferences. This hidden gem is only a couple of blocks from the Arno River and far enough away from the Ponte Vecchio so as not to be a tourist trap as also reflected by their prices and warm genuine hospitality. It is nearby the Piazza Santa Maria Novella and located only a few steps from the intersection of Via Palazzuolo and Via del Porcellana. I would recommend the house red (chianti) and a caffee latte if that's your jam. Coffee is smooth and not acidic - SO good!

The ambiance was a woody dim light cozy intimate environment. The food was INCREDIBLE and left me full but wanting more! And the drinks were such a great price. The service was friendly and inviting- Well worth the stop in Florence!

Found this beautiful little gem yesterday. The food, wine and service were wonderful! Can't wait to return

We stopped by for a quick glass of wine and some charcuterie in this cute little spot. The menu was fun with a friends theme. Seemed to be more of a local spot with a sprinkle of a tourist here and there.

Wonderful gem on a backstreet near Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Cross streets are Via Palazzuolo/Via del Porcellana. Such welcoming people who work there and a delightful artsy indoor/outdoor atmosphere - truly a must visit. Service is quick, even when busy with take away orders and the food is delicious and fresh. Over the course of. A few days in Florence we stopped in for wine, coffee and snacks as if was close to our accommodation. They even remembered us and our preferences!

I studied abroad in the summer of 2022, and my friends and I stumbled upon this gem. We went multiple times a week. Everything about La Boite is perfect. For the morning: cute ambiance, I would go many mornings to get a really tasty cappuccino. For evenings: This is where La Boite really shines. Their drinks are cheap (6 euros for cocktails), strong (but you don't taste the alcohol), and tasty. Unlike lots of other places, their Hugo's are refreshing but not too sweet, and their Moscow mules have a lovely bite. Their cheese boards are INCREDIBLE - huge servings of creative, tasty, and ever-changing combos of cheeses, tomatoes, meats, and sauces. At 18 euros for a large one (the perfect size for my group of 7 friends to share before dinner) l, they're an absolute steal. The music changes every night but always adds to the cozy, warm ambiance. And last but not least, the staff is truly special. Their energy, helpfulness, and contagious smiles made us come some nights just to see the bartender. I cannot recommend this place more - going to La Boite will be a wonderful part of your trip to Florence!

Absolutely recommend!! I ordered the large cheese platter, peach juice, and house wine. The wine was fantastic! The large platter was the best one I've had during my stay in Florence. The service was excellent. Both of the guys behind the counter were very welcoming and so funny. It's a smaller shop, but there weren't very many people. If was a very chill and cozy spot to relax after a long day of walking the streets. If you are nearby or happen to see this place, go in for a drink and a bite!

La Boite is such a hidden gem. It's cozy -- there are probably only 5 or 6 tables in the whole space and only one staff member working behind the bar. It's the perfect spot to grab a late afternoon aperitivo, especially if you have a very late dinner reservation and want a snack! Glasses of wine are super reasonable and filled to the brim. The star of the show is most definitely the meat and cheese board. You can order a small or large, and a small is plenty of food for two. Our board came with two plump balls of mutz, brie and manchego plus lots of prosciutto, salami and bread. The ambiance is very relaxing and they had a wonderful rock playlist on. I loved how unpretentious this spot felt, and I'd be sure to revisit if I found myself in Florence again. Plus, with cheap and delicious wine, cheeses and meats what could really go wrong?

House wine and complimentary peanuts. They're tasty.

Amazing whole on the wall. The house wine is great. The charcuterie board is the best I've ever had. The service was very good too. The gentleman and lady who work there are welcoming. I can't wait to go back. Thank you.

I am studying abroad this summer in Florence and this place is so cute. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced and the sandwiches are quite large (I even had leftovers). I absolutely love "Friends" so the sandwich names were so cute and the food was delicious. It is definitely worth a visit!

None of my group was actually into that either but they didn't want to wait to sit at the place we meant to go and this place had availability at that moment. We sat at the large wine barrel table at the front door because there were 4 of us and I felt a way since I was told to make sure not to block other guests. Then why put us here? I'm getting even more mad. Thankfully, I was completely wrong. Once we sat and one of the lovely sisters came to speak with us, I knew this was going to be a good time. They both were so gracious and knowledgeable, but also friendly and super funny. We didn't get the wine tasting but I heard them giving the people behind us one and I actually think I would have enjoyed it as well. The cocktails we did get were strong and delicious. With hosts like these, I'd come back here all the time.

We grabbed a bottle of wine on a warmer June afternoon after a day of exploring, which was definitely refreshing. The location isn't much as it overlooks a pretty bare piazza. The service can be a bit on the slower side, especially when I walked in and tried to get the bill. But still if you're able to get a table it's a pretty quaint wine bar. It seemed like they had some flights/tastings, which would have been an interesting option.

Title: Great wine selection, but disappointing service from our server Noemi…read moreWe visited Enoteca Pitti Gola because it was recommended by Wine Spectator, and the wine list truly is impressive -- an extensive and well-curated selection of Italian wines. We were two couples and went for some wine and light snacks. When we arrived, there wasn't a table available for four, so we had to sit separately. Once a table behind our friends became available, we asked to move so we could sit closer together, but our server, Noemi, wasn't very accommodating and seemed somewhat annoyed by the request. We mentioned that we wanted to share a few dishes and asked about portion sizes, but Noemi didn't explain things clearly and wasn't very friendly. She insisted the plates weren't meant for sharing, which turned out not to be true. The wine itself was excellent, and the snacks were good -- but the overall service from Noemi felt unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. I'd still recommend the place if you're interested in trying great Italian wines, but be aware that the service experience may not match the quality of the wine.

We looked at the menu and decided on a couple of things...the Burrata with Truffles, Eggplant Parmigiana, Cacio e Pepe, and a side of Tuscan White Beans. We ordered food and drinks. Drinks arrived within 2 minutes and lo and behold our Burrata Salad arrived Two minutes later...and yes I timed it. I asked that our food be slowed down and also asked that it not be cooked and served cold. We finished our Burrata with a Truffles which I might add was delicious. And within a reasonable few minutes our food arrived. The Cacio e Pepe was delightful but could have had a bit more Pepe. The Tuscan White Beans were perfect with a hint of spice which made them special. I wish I could say the Eggplant Parmigiana was equally as good as the rest of the meal. It was not. It was way over cooked - almost burned. Guess it just stayed in the oven while we slowed down our meal. We managed to delay our meal enough that we were actually in the restaurant a bit over an hour. I can't say service was lacking I would describe it as more overwhelming...almost uncomfortable. Atmosphere - 4 Food - 3 Service - 2 Price - 4 Overall Rating - 3.25

If I get this right, they offer a different "theme" of dishes on different days of the week (closed on Tuesday), from pasta to fish to a foreign country theme (in my case it was the latter, the country being Morocco). So you order an aperitivo and dishes from the special menu. Each dish is only €3 (!!) but then they seem to add a surcharge of €3 per drink during aperitivo hour. Slightly strange concept and very penalising for a committing alcoholic like myself ;-) The Moroccan aperitivo menu consisted of an antipasto option (mixed starter), a primo (cous cous) and a secondo (some meat dish). I had a big lunch so only had the starter (see picture - quite tasty) and took the remaining calorie balance in liquid form. Speaking of which - the cocktail menu offers some interesting options (not all of the classics are listed, but these guys seem to know their stuff, just ask for what you want) and compared to the Rivalta Caffé, the drinks are balanced less sweet here. They have an interesting selection of vermouth, with some labels that are hard to come by outside of Italy. They also understand their bitters, with the likes of Bittermen's, Fee Brothers, Bitter Truth, Booker's and others present. There is also a comprehensive wine list and a menu with some other food options. I will certainly be back!
