Great hostess she knew her wines, service was a 10 the cheese and meat plate were full and great little spot in the middle of all the chaos!

The first round of wine (good pours) and the snack. Soooo good

Yes yes yes! I read Google reviews (which were nearly all 5 stars) and then came here and found they were not on here... So now they are. (As I use this more than Google) We walked in and we were quickly greeted by two amazing women who educated us on our options for wine tasting. We took the 5 wine option with snack. She came over after we sat and asked if anyone was a vegetarian, thankfully, as my fiance is. The "snack": look at my pictures. Great meat and cheese plate. Came with White bread and oil and balsamic vinegar. Amazing. The salami and the Gorgonzola cheese was delicious! Had bruschetta, 2 meats and 2 cheeses total. So good. The wines: All of the wines are very good. What was amazing was the description that she gave for each of the wines. She went in great detail with the region that each one came from and how they were made, aged and certified. The atmosphere: Stellar!!! Feels like you are in a little wine celler full of bricks and stone. Small enough to feel very personal but big enough to fit maybe 6 or 7 couples. Would come here again!

This is one of the best experiences we had in Florence. My husband and I were looking for wine tasting, and the owners went above and beyond. We did a 4 wine tasting with a snack for $25 bucks, which is a steal based off how knowledgeable the owner was. We really liked how the owners were so warm and welcoming. They did a great job in explaining where each wine is from and how to properly taste wine. I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone!

The snack

AMAZING! My husband and I walked passed the sign saying "wine tasting" and we figured why not. I didn't know if I ever would've found a red wine I loved if it wasn't for them. They also educate you on the wine flavor, where in Italy is it from, what to look for when shopping for wine. Best part, they ship to America! We did the three tastings each, and we told them what we typically drink and they were able to provide a tasting to match our pallet to what we described. If I could, I would go in nightly for a glass of Brunello di Montalcino. The "snack" charcuterie board was very tasty and fresh as well!

Extremely rude to English speaking customers. Treated us poorly when compared to Italian speaking customers that were served.

We grabbed a bottle of wine on a warmer June afternoon after a day of exploring, which was definitely refreshing. The location isn't much as it overlooks a pretty bare piazza. The service can be a bit on the slower side, especially when I walked in and tried to get the bill. But still if you're able to get a table it's a pretty quaint wine bar. It seemed like they had some flights/tastings, which would have been an interesting option.

We were two couples and went for some wine and light snacks. When we arrived, there wasn't a table available for four, so we had to sit separately. Once a table behind our friends became available, we asked to move so we could sit closer together, but our server, Noemi, wasn't very accommodating and seemed somewhat annoyed by the request. We mentioned that we wanted to share a few dishes and asked about portion sizes, but Noemi didn't explain things clearly and wasn't very friendly. She insisted the plates weren't meant for sharing, which turned out not to be true. The wine itself was excellent, and the snacks were good -- but the overall service from Noemi felt unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. I'd still recommend the place if you're interested in trying great Italian wines, but be aware that the service experience may not match the quality of the wine.

Best culinary experience of my life!…read more I don't take this review lightly and I mean every word of this title. I first met Paulo in Oct 2021. My wife and I were looking for an 'authentic' wine tasting experience near Florence (something close enough for my wife and I to ride a moped through Florence). Paulo didn't have the most reviews online but every review I saw was 5 stars. This piqued my interest..."there's something here". We find ourselves walking in the front door of an old mom and pop shop bodega/general store. Paulo greets us warmly and we walk down some stairs to his basement. We're greeted by a pre set up tasting table that just looks fantastic. Paulo goes on to teach us about the components of the tongue and how the various fruit, nut, cheese, combinations hit the senses that just so happen to pair perfectly with his Rose wine--and that was just the beginning. To this day we continue to recommend him without reservation to all of our friends (with 10+ friends being able to experience his tasting, and each agreeing this was one of their best memories in Italy). We also continue to order his wine and olive oil direct to the US and his wine currently occupies the top shelf on our wine rack. Paulo, you're awesome!!

The tasting ( in my experience) was much more than wine tasting but a combination of cheeses, jams, mortadella, prosciutto, and of course wines which he makes. The first course included a rosé style wine and a few different cheese all of which were different ages, topped with different jams including a truffle blackberry jam and cashews which were absolutely incredible! I will not spoil the rest of the experience but if you're looking to go wine tasting in true Tuscany with generations of experience look no further. I can't wait to go back

After a few…read moreother popular places being booked out 3 months in advance, I put in my calendar to make reservations the day it opened up. It was crazy how fast the day was greyed out! I reached out to the restaurant and they were so accommodating to fit us into the only day we could visit. They send you a text the day of to reconfirm your reservations. The vineyard looks amazing at first glance! You walk up their famous spiral staircase to get to the restaurant. Too bad it was raining the morning before we visited because outdoor seating would have been nice in the tented area. There were still covered outside seating but we opted to dine in. They gave us an amazing table facing the vineyard so we could appreciate the scenery. Weather worked for us because we got to enjoy our entire lunch without any rain. We looked at the menu and Mink ordered their Maccheroncelli al sugo di anatra and I ordered Tagliata di manzo alla griglia e patate arrosto medium rare. They came out with complimentary bread and poured some of their current EVOO on suggesting we add a little salt. EVOO in Italy is amazing! It was a good snack while I was going through three wines by the glass list. The food came out after 10-15 minutes and we dug in. Mink enjoyed her order but is at the point of the trip where she's had too much pasta. She did really like my potatoes though. My dish was prepared perfectly and was a good compliment to all the wine I was drinking. After we finished eating, we were offered dessert but declined. They brought out some complimentary dessert for us anyways which was very nice. This is absolutely something you should do when in Tuscany. The taxi ride was a little pricey at €140 round trip (about 16 minute each way). It was still a lot cheaper than Uber though. If Mink drank, I would have loved to have done the wine tasting but the compromise was dining at Rinuccio 1180. Good food, beautiful view and exceptional service. Ecstatic that I got to visit Antinori nel Chianti Classico winery (2022 best winery in the world).

Our friend realized he messed up our reservation day on the drive over and thank god the staff graciously allowed us to dine with them for lunch anyway. We started with a beautiful cheese and spread selection, a white fish puttanesca salad that was fresh and crisp. The mushroom soup unfortunately was a huge flop comparably to the tier of the other appetizers. Everything about it was not good (texture, flavor), presentation- they emulsified it so no physical mushrooms were present. Though the (small serving) of pasta, fish and lamb rack (served medium rare, more rare than medium) did not disappoint! We finished with this lemon passion fruit meringue pie which was one of the best things I've ever had in my life. The apple tart and complimentary sweets were also great. But all in all, while some dishes had took for opportunity, you're coming here for the views and experience. It feels like you're sitting on a movie set. So not skip this when in Tuscany!

The owner and staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The wine bar itself is a small quaint little place. Probably seats about 12 to 15 people total and has plenty of windows so you can see passersby and people watch. The cheeseboard? Get the cheeseboard. They do a fantastic job of pairing everything together to really bring so many flavors to your tastebuds. Their house wine is phenomenal and they take great pride in finding the grapes/different varietals to make it come to life. They have a both a red and a white house wine option. The second time we went - and yes, we went more than once in the four days we were there - we enjoyed one of the sandwiches and it was absolutely amazing. The bread, I can't even explain, the bread it's so flavorful and so good and so light. That paired with the delicious meats and cheeses were 100% worth it. I definitely recommend this location to anybody who is visiting Florence regularly or for their first time.
