    Seafood Salad

This wine store not only has a big selection of bottled wines and spirits, it also has a restaurant with THE Absolute best views in Florence. They serve wine, cocktails, and food, so have a seat and enjoy a nice glass of wine over looking the Ponte Vecchio. Take full advantage of the great photo ops! I stopped here everyday for afternoon drinks and the view. On my last day I ordered lunch. Seafood salad - a selection of octopus, squid, mixed salad, fresh tomatoes, sweet and sour red onions, chickpeas and olives. Cheese board - A nice selection of cubed Parmigiano Reggiano, Asiago cheese, a goat cheese with a pistachio crust, a sweet gorgonzola, and a small cup of plum jam. No complaints on the food or wine. Service was Ok. The girl that served us lunch was not as nice as some of the other servers we had but it was lunch time and they were busy. Not sure why, but on this visit for lunch, I was charged an additional 5 euros per person. Menu says 2.50 per person. I didn't catch it until I was a few blocks away so it's on me. As a note... just watch your bill.

Great food. Pasta with truffle oil was excellent. Service great . Wine shop in front and restaurant in back. Bathrooms very clean. Not happy there was a 5 Euro charge per person.

We came for lunch on Easter Sunday. Greeted and sat immediately. The staff was attentive and friendly. We sat outside. The weather was beautiful. The food was great!

Prosciutto and burrata. It was delicious!

I love this place. The prosciutto and burrata was amazing. It was cold so we sat inside in the evening and there were people outside with the great view of the river. We were able to buy a bottle from the store and drink it with our food, no upcharge. Our hotel recommended this place after we missed our planned wine tasting outside the city and we were looking for wine tasting. Instead of tastings we ended up with a bottle. But all good :)

Tagliere Magnum was AMAZING. The best thing we've eaten in Italy so far!

This has been our favorite place in Florence! There is a gorgeous view of the river and the charcuterie was AMAZING.

    Awful pasta with rabbit.

Great view but it ends there. Tourist trap but they do not treat travelers well. Some staff were very rude.

We grabbed a bottle of wine on a warmer June afternoon after a day of exploring, which was definitely refreshing. The location isn't much as it overlooks a pretty bare piazza. The service can be a bit on the slower side, especially when I walked in and tried to get the bill. But still if you're able to get a table it's a pretty quaint wine bar. It seemed like they had some flights/tastings, which would have been an interesting option.

Title: Great wine selection, but disappointing service from our server Noemi…read moreWe visited Enoteca Pitti Gola because it was recommended by Wine Spectator, and the wine list truly is impressive -- an extensive and well-curated selection of Italian wines. We were two couples and went for some wine and light snacks. When we arrived, there wasn't a table available for four, so we had to sit separately. Once a table behind our friends became available, we asked to move so we could sit closer together, but our server, Noemi, wasn't very accommodating and seemed somewhat annoyed by the request. We mentioned that we wanted to share a few dishes and asked about portion sizes, but Noemi didn't explain things clearly and wasn't very friendly. She insisted the plates weren't meant for sharing, which turned out not to be true. The wine itself was excellent, and the snacks were good -- but the overall service from Noemi felt unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. I'd still recommend the place if you're interested in trying great Italian wines, but be aware that the service experience may not match the quality of the wine.

The charcuterie board was big enough to share with 3 but also depends of how much you eat. lol portions tend to be smaller in Italy. However, the sandwich was a nice size. The staff was knowledgeable on all the different meats and cheeses available and were able to make recommendations based on what you prefer. We ordered a beautiful looking cheeseboard that had a variety of different hard cheeses along with different meats. The presentation was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the entire thing. It is very cool to see the different meat hanging from the ceiling in addition to the wine bottles and the cool ambience that they created in the small location. There are a handful of seats available and then there's even a back room with a few more tables to accommodate a few more people. From a price point perspective, it wasn't too bad, especially if you're swinging in for a snack and a quick glass of wine or a beer.

November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. Watch out for the pigeons getting ready to take your crumbs too, you can see them on the ledge of the building getting ready to attack. A must visit for Florence.

The roasted ham is tasty and the truffle cream adds a lovely flavor and ties the dish together. Finocchiona E Crema De Formaggio- Can't sing enough of their bread's praises! The tuscan salami is spicy and flavorful. The fennel is slightly sweet and the cream cheese is smooth and light. Great experience overall!
