It's a perfect little spot to catch lunch outside or have a bottle of wine to people watch. There were only two tings that I didn't like; one of which I don't think the restaurant has much control over. That being said, the first thing was the service. It's rather slow. I don't know if it's slow to me because crazy Americans think everything should be faster than not. So I wish I could give half stars. They are super nice ..,it just took a while to get my order in. The second thing that I don't think they can control is the people who walk around trying to sell you something. They're a bit aggressive. With me looking like them, they beelined for me the two times we sat there near the entrance. So I suggest sitting inside away from that because they can't come in. There is this little cute table that we sat at that is on the edge of the inside but the window is a roll up window giving you access to the outside patio. That is where the can still get to you but can't come all the way in....except this one lady. She stepped all the way in....i was shocked. And got aggressive with me when I told her no thank you. The trick?...they told me "I'm beautiful" "like your natural hair..." and since they liked me, they said "I give to you..." and handed me two bracelets and a fan. I said no thank you and she kept shouting "excuse me...I give to you..." I set them on the table and she gave me the son story of being pregnant and since she give to me, I should give to her for the gift. I said no one final time and she snatched everything off the table and left...FINALLY. Ugh. So not sure if the restaurant can do more but they need to. read more

A store that looks like its to sell wines, and it has lots of collection of wines. There are some food available. The food doesn't seem appealing tho... This wine store not only has a big selection of bottled wines and spirits, it also has a restaurant with THE Absolute best views in Florence. They serve wine, cocktails, and food, so have a seat and enjoy a nice glass of wine over looking the Ponte Vecchio. Take full advantage of the great photo ops! I stopped here everyday for afternoon drinks and the view. On my last day I ordered lunch. Seafood salad - a selection of octopus, squid, mixed salad, fresh tomatoes, sweet and sour red onions, chickpeas and olives. Cheese board - A nice selection of cubed Parmigiano Reggiano, Asiago cheese, a goat cheese with a pistachio crust, a sweet gorgonzola, and a small cup of plum jam. No complaints on the food or wine. Service was Ok. The girl that served us lunch was not as nice as some of the other servers we had but it was lunch time and they were busy. Not sure why, but on this visit for lunch, I was charged an additional 5 euros per person. Menu says 2.50 per person. I didn't catch it until I was a few blocks away so it's on me. We walked in on a whim hoping to get a table in the terrace and of course that didn't happen... however we got a table inside with a view nonetheless. We agree that this can feel like a tourist trap and the service is spotty (sometimes good sometimes bad) but the wine and food is fab!! We were glad to grab some wine and champagne we had to not tasted before and really enjoyed all the charcuterie we ordered. It's pricey so definitely visit if you are ok splurging. read more

I love this place. The prosciutto and burrata was amazing. It was cold so we sat inside in the evening and there were people outside with the great view of the river. We were able to buy a bottle from the store and drink it with our food, no upcharge. Our hotel recommended this place after we missed our planned wine tasting outside the city and we were looking for wine tasting. Instead of tastings we ended up with a bottle. A wine store pretending to be a restaurant, or a restaurant coasting on the profits of being a wine store. Hard to say either way. They don't succeed at one or the other, and only seem to prop themselves up as a combination of both. With an incredible location near spitting distance of the Ponte Vechio, they have all the bones of a corporate backed Total Wine. But... with a cook. A mediocre one it seems. I would give them a middling range for quality that doesn't quite match the price except for the fact that these people serve what must be the worst tiramisu in all of Italy, if not the world. Take ONE lady finger, break it in half, dip them in a sour alcohol of no decernanable origin, drop them in a Mason jar, fill it with cream, not whipped cream mind you, like actual watery cream, dash some cacao powder on top, seal the jar and call it a dessert. This isn't layers of flavor. This is a jar of goop. I love tiramisu. These people made me want to chuck a jar of lies at the one who served it to me. But I'm not a monster, and everyone else ate the damn thing because no one would believe how bad it was until they tasted it. Still, no one stood to defend it. Your meals were fine. Fix this. Do better. Don't be known for the worst tiramisu in the world. read more

Rude staff. We made a reservation for a table for 2 way in advance and we showed up 10 minutes early. We were first in line and we were there mostly for the view. There were many tables for 2 available in better spot, but our server gave us the table with the view blocked by a wall. When we asked for a better table, he said those were for people with reservations; we explained we had reservations as well and we showed up early (before they opened) he replied maybe they booked it earlier... clear lie!!! Finally, when we asked for a few minutes to review the dessert menu, our waiter never bothered to come back. We took about 20 minutes to finish our wine and never saw our waiter again. Between the consistently rude wait staff, not getting the view we wanted, and the mediocre food, this lunch simply wasn't worth the time or money. We ordered a bottle of wine and shared some small plates. Everything was just perfect. The wine, the food, the friendly service, and most of all, the atmosphere. The view was gorgeous. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed for 4 hours! Luckily, no one asked us to give up our table. We made friends at nearby tables too. During our time in Florence we tried to explore as many different places as possible. This wine bar was right next to where we were staying. They have a great selection of wine but not very welcoming if you are not having full meals. This is a huge wine shop and restaurant. I came here twice on my weekend visit. The first time we had 5 star service and the second was average. First visit was for wine tasting and they let us choose our own flight. We asked for reds and got to sample 5 plus one white. The server was informative and friendly. We loved most of the wines. Affordable prices too. Second time was with a group of 4. We chose two bottles to share and stayed a long time. Initially we were seated upstairs until that section closed then moved downstairs to the main area. There is a wine shop inside which has excellent deals. Two bottles for €20! The food was very good, but don't expect fast service - it's Italy , so relax. They are extremely rude. We were waiting for a patio table, so they put us at a high top to wait, but then people walked in after that and they sat them immediately when a table opened on the patio. We asked and they said 'well they are ordering dinner'. The guy never even asked us if we were eating dinner and he knew we already ordered an entire bottle of wine so they had a sale from us. They are money hungry, not customer satisfaction focused. We've been in Florence 5 nights and everyone has been amazingly generous and kind. Stay away from this place. read more

I came here on the Saturday before Easter with two of my friends. I was visiting my friends and they said they loved this place so we decided to come here to get a drink and snack. We were seated right away and the service was okay at first. The waitress did not acknowledge me and my friends for almost 20 minutes, even though we tried to get her attention many times to order, but that was okay. After the waitress finally came to our table and took our order, we ordered three glasses of wine and the cheese plate that COSTS 5 EUROS, NOT 15 EUROS!!!! The wine and cheese were great. However, when we we were done eating, our check said the cheese plate was 15 euros, not 5. When we asked the waitress about this, she was SO RUDE!!!! The waitress yelled at us saying "Your plate had 5 cheeses on it, so why would you ever think that cheese platter would only cost 5 euros??????" The waitress then gave us a nasty look and walked away. I have never been treated so poorly by a waitress. The employees here are so rude and you should NEVER come here. read more

What an unexpected surprise! We walked in after the Boboli Gardens and were delighted by the quality of the food. It is an enoteca, a combination wine shop and restaurant. My husband had a gorgeous seafood pasta, one of our friends had a shrimp risotto with saffron, and another a lamb ravioli. I had a cheese platter and bruschetta that was served with three jars of spreads; artichoke, parsley pesto, and sweet onion grilled bread. For dessert we shared a panna cotta with strawberries and a balsamic reduction. And on top of all of this, the view out the window is the Arno, the Uffizi, and the Ponte Veccio! read more

Great location! This restaurant is right on the Arno and does have balcony seating. We didn't have a reservation so we didn't get a balcony spot, but we could still see out and it was lovely. The food was delicious, and the tiramisu especially was fantastic. The only negative was the chaotic atmosphere, but we came right in the dinner rush. Overall great! read more
