10/10 recommend! Beautiful small restaurant. Went with my partner in our last night in Florence. Bummed we didn't find it earlier because we want to go again already. The fettunta was so good that we wanted seconds. The tenderloin was amazing! Desserts were delicious! Amazing meal! The waiter was so kind and his wife is the chef! So worth it!!

It was a very long and cold day in Florence and we just needed a spot to have some dinner and get back to our warm comfy bed. Cacio Vino Trallalla was like a warm hug that we needed. The ambiance and service just went above and beyond that the food's mediocrity didn't bother me (there were some standouts). I will be back again if ever we get a chance to visit. L O C A T I O N After being thwarted by other spots being non-existent or just closed, we could Cacio Vino Trallalla. It's a fairly narrow spot which seems to be a trend in Italy where it feels like they were building between buildings. I N T E R I O R The smell of a warm home...that's all I can say about the interior. From the wines on the wall to the felt handmade menu covers. I appreciated all the tiny details they had that just added to this special spot. By all means you get very cozy as there isn't much space. Tables are close together and walk ways are not very wide. M E N U Truffles...truffles on everything. So expect having truffles. They have a fairly small menu which is good cause I don't like too many choices! ~ Tonno toscano su insalata con crema balsamico e pepe rosa ~ Basically a pork salad and when you say salad in Italy, expect radicchio. The balsamic dressing was a nice tang and simple as I like my salads pretty simple and not drenched in dressing. The pork is cooked so well and looks like tuna (thus why they call it tonno). The rose peppers also was a nice little spice and made the dish well rounded. ~ Ravioli di ricotta e spinachi con salsa di pecorino e noci e trufo fresco ~ Pasta is a must in Italy. Now was this the best pasta I've had? No. Was the truffles necessary? Not really. But it was a good pasta. The spot in Pisa we went to had a better pasta dish during our trip. ~ Trio of cakes - chocolate pear tart, blueberry cheesecake, lemon tart ~ We like samplers and this called to us. All homemade desserts of the day. The only thing that didn't have truffles actually...The plating of this was superb. I loved the wood block. Not one really stood out. I think we both liked the chocolate pear tart the best out of the three. But I could've done without the dessert, though....when on vacation, you must at least have a bite! S E R V I C E There were only us and another table in for dinner that night and they were ranting and raving about their food and their trip (yes you can hear everything, it's a small spot). Our server was fantastic. He described each dish and told us a preferred way to eat things. He wasn't pushy and was very informative and warm. He totally reminded me of some laid back folks here in the bay area. O V E R A L L Like I said, this place was a saving grace in the rough day we had standing 2 hours in line at Uffizi. The food was unique though feel like the truffles are a crutch. If you want a small romantic spot with really good service, this is your place. We will definitely be back.

    Inside

If all you get from this review is the first sentence, go try Cacio Vino Trallallà. We were in Florence for 3 nights and got this recommended from a friend. It was so pleasant and delicious that we ended up frequenting it twice! Once for dinner, once for wine and dessert. It is a very traditional Italian Osteria space, from what we gathered, it is owned and run by a married couple who has hired a server, Julia, to help out. Julia was our server and she was so kind and friendly. One thing to note is it seems like they changed the layout since some of the older reviews, I posted an updated photo of the inside. We got the meats and cheese for one to share, the Cacio e Pepe and the Potato Tortellini. Each dish was incredible but I would highlight the Potato Tortellini. I think that this could have been the best dish I had in Italy, could be personal preference, but that's my opinion! Everything else was amazing, the ambiance, wine, value, service, etc. I really can't say enough good things- especially if you like to find places off the beaten path. After dinner, try to go around the corner to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, we saw a great street performance to end the night!

Our delicious lasagna and truffle saffron risotto

Delicious wine and food! Best lasagna of my life, so creamy and delicious! Thomas suggested wonderful wines- the Bolgheri for a full bodied red and the Tufo Bianco for a full bodied white, he also took the time to explain the origins of the wine and seasonal truffles in the saffron and truffle risotto. Thomas explained to me the Tufo Bianco is a combination of Greco, Sauvignon and Trebbiano grapes and I loved the Tufo Bianco so much I took a bottle to bring back home with me. This place is worth a visit for great food and wine!

If you want to have truffle dinner that's not overpriced, come to this restaurant. It's small but cozy. The waiter is knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed my dinner here.

Absolutely truffles heaven, I ordered the pork which is really tender and tasty, very different than other Italian dishes. Definitely save room for dessert, the chocolate pear cake "with truffles" is excellent. On top of all that, they play the most wonderful jazz music all night long!

Warmed goat cheese with blueberries and truffles, and omelette with artichokes and truffles
    Kunhua L.

A restaurant of truffles! I love everything made with truffles, so we ordered the omelette with artichokes and truffles, and the warmed goat cheese with blueberries and truffles. Both were special and delicious! We also had the platter of cheeses and salami. The hostess was warmhearted and helpful, introducing all the cheeses and salami patiently to us. The salami with black truffles was my favorite.

Searched the place, because it was recommended by the Capitool City Guide. It was said to be cheap, and also featured a "chocolate beer" dessert. Well they didn't have the chocolate beer, nor was it cheap. They do know alot about their wines and the staff was really friendly. The food was OK. My beef stew (20€), did not really have a "wow" factor, but tasted exactly like what I also cook at home. The risotto was very nice. Diner for two with 4 wines cost us 60€.

If you crave truffles, this is the place. 4 courses, all with truffles. Very tiny, only 4 tables. Very hard to find. But very worth it. See photos.

This was one of the best meals of my life! I almost never write reviews but I couldn't help myself after tonight's meal. The waiter gently explained our wine options and how they paired with our dinner choice of salumi misti. When the food arrived he kindly asked if he could explain the varieties of meats and cheeses on the board, as well as a suggested order to eat them in. Not only was the food and wine delicious, our waiter made us feel special and the ambience was pure Italy!

I don't know if it's slow to me because crazy Americans think everything should be faster than not. So I wish I could give half stars. They are super nice ..,it just took a while to get my order in. The second thing that I don't think they can control is the people who walk around trying to sell you something. They're a bit aggressive. With me looking like them, they beelined for me the two times we sat there near the entrance. So I suggest sitting inside away from that because they can't come in. There is this little cute table that we sat at that is on the edge of the inside but the window is a roll up window giving you access to the outside patio. That is where the can still get to you but can't come all the way in....except this one lady. She stepped all the way in....i was shocked. And got aggressive with me when I told her no thank you. The trick?...they told me "I'm beautiful" "like your natural hair..." and since they liked me, they said "I give to you..." and handed me two bracelets and a fan. I said no thank you and she kept shouting "excuse me...I give to you..." I set them on the table and she gave me the son story of being pregnant and since she give to me, I should give to her for the gift. I said no one final time and she snatched everything off the table and left...FINALLY. Ugh. So not sure if the restaurant can do more but they need to.

We grabbed a bottle of wine on a warmer June afternoon after a day of exploring, which was definitely refreshing. The location isn't much as it overlooks a pretty bare piazza. The service can be a bit on the slower side, especially when I walked in and tried to get the bill. But still if you're able to get a table it's a pretty quaint wine bar. It seemed like they had some flights/tastings, which would have been an interesting option.

We were two couples and went for some wine and light snacks. When we arrived, there wasn't a table available for four, so we had to sit separately. Once a table behind our friends became available, we asked to move so we could sit closer together, but our server, Noemi, wasn't very accommodating and seemed somewhat annoyed by the request. We mentioned that we wanted to share a few dishes and asked about portion sizes, but Noemi didn't explain things clearly and wasn't very friendly. She insisted the plates weren't meant for sharing, which turned out not to be true. The wine itself was excellent, and the snacks were good -- but the overall service from Noemi felt unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. I'd still recommend the place if you're interested in trying great Italian wines, but be aware that the service experience may not match the quality of the wine.

November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. Watch out for the pigeons getting ready to take your crumbs too, you can see them on the ledge of the building getting ready to attack. A must visit for Florence.

Racist owner randomly took my table and chair while I was eating on it to give to a Caucasian European couple. l'm an Asian female by the way. I showed him that my boyfriend was waiting in line to purchase food and constantly assured him we were using them and that we were buying food. He still took my table and chair and said I'll give you another one- to which it down graded to eating off 3 short chairs. I told the European couple that it wasn't fair that the server took our table to give to them and they just smiled and dismissed me. Racism at its finest. Their sandwich is not good. Actually the sandwich shop across the street I' Grone De Ghiotti is way better with service and sandwich taste. Sadly I don't think this post will change the attitude of the owner.
