11/5 They still have not finished the fixes and the fixes done were so shoddy they have to be redone. They left the trailer dirty when I picked it up. Still waiting on parts months later. Still don't think they have actually ordered them. Going to go nuclear on them. read more

Went there to get educated about motor coaches. Good and bad, was given an introductory your, then left on my own to wander the yard. When I happened upon someone looking they were given a lot more info about the coaches. I have lots of questions about use and maintenance. Wish I had a better experience. Service dept reviews make me nervous about this place. read more

Bought a 2020 American Eagle from LaMesa RV..... Ian the sales guy was super helpful( as much as he could be) but good god is the service department a bunch of ree rees!! We took our new coach on 1.... just 1 short weekend trip to flagstaff and it has now been in the shop for almost 3 weeks.... the inside of the coach now looks like a garage,( I'm hoping they clean this, but I'm doubtful) and they cannot seem to get the right number for my husband even though he tells them every time to call him personally, not the other guy in TX. I get it, it's a house on wheels, but the service department cannot seem to give clear answers on very simple questions on how to do something, or how something functions. After reading all the shorty reviews on LaMesa, we will definitely NOT be bringing it here for service again. Service guy told us the generator needed to be serviced every 100 hours.... are you kidding me??? That's a service basically every single trip!! I also have to say, while the bus looks nice in appearance, you can tell it's cheaply made.... flimsy drawers, crappy hardware, cheap countertops, and when we went to pick it up it was full of black dust that they of course didn't clean.... and when my husband had to slap o the breaks in traffic the vanity mirror in the bathroom completely shattered into a million pieces!! He doesn't even know what hit it, he was just driving, so now we have to clean up all the microscopic glass on top of the mess the mechanics left for us!!! Thank you so so much for the mess!!! Things are still not fixed and there are more things that need to get fixed now!! Avoid LaMesa RV at all costs!!!!we paid top dollar for this thing ( over 500k) and this is how we are treated!!! I have yet to be impressed with it at all.... Buyers beware!!! read more

LaMesa in a nutshell. 1) Anything the Service Dept tells you is a lie. 2) Don't buy the overpriced seal coat because it won't be done properly. 3) If they steer you towards Bank of the West, run the other way unless you want an overpriced lawn ornament you can't legally take out on the road. The details: If this were based on sales, it would be 4 stars. If it were based on their service department, I'd have to figure out a way to give them minus stars. We bought a brand new Vilano from LaMesa. They had over a month to go through it and make sure everything was ok. We had an 8:30 AM appointment for our walk through and to transfer stuff from our old RV into our new RV. We arrived and were met with blank stares. Our new rig wasn't ready. We were told to drop the old one and go get some breakfast and they'd be ready for us in two hours. They couldn't check everything out in 40+ days so why did they think they could do it in two hours? We finally started the walk through at 1:00 PM. It was a disaster. He couldn't even show us how to use the oven because they hadn't filled the propane tanks. Halfway through, he gave up. We never did get our walk through so it was up to us to figure out how our new RV works. From there it went completely downhill. My husband and are are both two time cancer survivors and he's had a liver transplant plus open heart surgery. Dealing with their service department was actually worse than breast cancer and liver cancer combined. Hard to imagine but true. I've NEVER seen such incompetence in my life. Every single day was a new lesson in broken promises and ineptitude. We thought it was because we 'only' bought a high end fifth-wheel and not a half million dollar motor home but after six days of talking to our fellow service department 'refugees' it didn't seem to matter. They were just as dissatisfied and frustrated as we were. When signing your paperwork, DO NOT buy the high dollar special sealant coat. They suckered us into that then sprayed it over a dirty unwashed rig. They knew they did a crappy job and even offered to reimburse us but I'm afraid that we're going to end up with finish problems down the road so have to keep it. They also did a horrible job detailing our rig. It took us a while to figure out what the sticky stuff that was sprayed all over our TV screen, walls and cabinets. I'm guessing one of their employees exploded a soda inside and didn't clean it up. It's taken two months but I'm finally getting the last of it cleaned off. Fortunately Vanleigh (Tiffin) has been great to deal with and we LOVE our new fifth-wheel or this would be one of the worst experiences of our lives. The other horrible experience? We took possession on March 20. It's now October and we still have an RV that is unregistered in our state because their recommended lender, Bank of the West, hasn't bothered to submit the title and registration papers to our state. I've spent HOURS on the phone with them since we got home and each time I finally track someone down who even knows what I'm talking about I'm promised that it will be 'expedited'. Apparently my idea of 'expedited' and theirs is vastly different. We are now making payments faithfully every month on an RV that can't leave our driveway because it isn't licensed or registered. Reply to Rand at La Mesa - we heard a lot of that from your Mesa store too but frankly, I'm not buying it. When we finally escaped your torture chamber and got back to the RV Resort we were staying in, we heard the exact same complaints from others who had dealt with LaMesa stores in other locations and in previous years. Your money is in selling them - not getting them ready to go out the door. Your people KNEW that they were applying an expensive seal coat over a dirty rig and didn't care. Now I'm stuck with an expensive shoddy job that has zero chance of being effective in protecting our investment because it was applied over the top of that pernicious Arizona black dust layer. Thanks so much for screwing us out all that money. We may as well have thrown it out the window for all the good it will do us. And speaking of black dust, your detailers can't even wash the floors before the rigs go out the door. Our socks were black and ruined because the floors weren't mopped. I was told they were but 'they just can't get that dirt off'. Your 'professional detailers' couldn't do the job but I could? After we got back to the RV park, I was able to get the floors clean in one try. No more black feet and socks. Funny what a Swiffer and a couple of Huggies wipes will do. You're counting on people just giving up and going back to their homes in the North after they've bought the RV. Four months later, I stand by my review. Your service department is a pathetic joke. read more

Five months ago I purchased an RV from CAMPING WORLD. I have never had such a bad experience in my LIFE, from sales, to finance "YES finance", then to service. So I gave up. I wanted to go camping this year "the one thing I love doing in life", so I wanted to leave all the bad behind, and move forward. On to the good review: LaMesa RV. "Mesa location" I called LaMesa RV in Mesa, and I talked to Karl Gwinn "sales" I told him the RV I was looking at. He said it was there, and he would hold it till I could come in the following day. So I went there the following day. Karl greeted me at the door, showed me the RV with NO pressure. I told him I wanted to think about it. He said I would have to leave a $500.00 deposit so I did "100% refundable". I came back today 9-1-18, and I asked him if I could view it alone. Karl said sure, so I did. It was the best experience EVER! I have never felt so relaxed in a purchase. I walked back in to the showroom, Karl was busy. So Ian the store manager took over. I never had to wait! Ian answered all my questions, and gave me assurance that my experience would not be like my last one at Camping world. Then they sent me to the finance office, and I met Lori. She also was not pushy, nor tried to sell me anything I did not want. With in moments she shook my hand, and said I was an owner of a new RV. If I would not have asked questions, and viewed the RV I bet I could have walked in, and walked out with an RV in thirty minutes. Unlike Camping World, and the BS they put you through with all there gimmicks. Five hours at Camping world. I will be picking up my RV next week, or the following. I hope the experience keeps going like this. I will update this review after I receive the RV. Thank you, Karl, Ian, and Lori. Seriously this purchase was the most amazing experience I ever had. read more

We have purchased a new Fleetwood Bounder motor coach from La Mesa RV in Mesa Arizona and are trilled with the size, style, and color, of our new coach. The real reason for this review is to commend La Mesa RV for putting together an organization thats makes it an enjoyable experience in shopping for a motor coach. For example: our sales advisor was Don Pickering who provided all the information we needed. He made us feel very comfortable; he was honest in his approach to financial limitations and worked hours and days (even on his day off) to help us reach our goal. Few employees make the effort that Don made to assure us of complete satisfaction. All of the La Mesa staff were very courteous and friendly, which speaks volumes for La Mesa's business philosophy. Mr. Pickering introduced us to Larry Irvin, who acted as our financial advisor. Larry worked tirelessly to obtain the best interest rate he could for us. After several attempts he was successful in getting us a great interest rate. There were so many staff members who helped during our visit, it would be difficult to mention them all, but Don Pickering is one we want to highlight as one of the most outstanding sales advisors we have met. What a marvelous group of people working at La Mesa RV. From the time we entered the front door until we left in our new purchase, we were treated with exceptional courtesy and respect. read more

We purchased our new travel trailer from them back in the spring this year and they've been there from set-up and delivery, to a couple of issues (as expected with new) and they were eager to resolve the problems in a timely manner. I got called by LA Mesa RV last week saying they were closing the Mesa location, they have had my trailer since July of last year, no communication from Larry who was my service advisor none!!!! There were a couple of employees who were helpful, I have been paying for a trailer that I have had used 3 times, bought it brand new. I had to call the manufacturer who made it to get on LA mesa rv to give ok to fix, they wanted me to be the middle man to call people. As a customer I have been left in the dark about what's going on with my trailer, like I said now I had a guy named Scott calling me saying mesa location is shutting down, I need to get my trailer and get it out of there, as they should take it to the Phoenix location not me. Oh but wait!! I have to wait for a guy name Mike to call me to get me in to have it worked on, I've been dealing with this since July of 2022, paying on a trailer and insurance, to have just sit there with not a care about how they treat people who bought trash trailers they sell and expect you just to be ok with the outcome of the service you are giving. I can't even tell you who I am dealing with or supposed to talk to who is going to be advising me with this situation. Horrible horrible horrible horrible service! read more

I purchased a new Grand Design travel trailer in Sanford Florida and the slide out stopped working properly after about 9 months. When I called for a service appointment it took 3 months to get in. By that time they told me that it was out of warranty and expected payment. After finally agreeing that it was their delay that caused the expiration of warranty they said the repair was done. I took the rv back and the next time at the campground it was the same problem. After many YouTube videos and searching online I found out that all they did was "synch" the motors by running the slide in and out. Finally I located the slide controller and found out their is a short in the motor. When contacting LaMesa I was spoken to extremely rudely and told I could bring it back but it would cost me. Their service dept. in Sanford Fl is inept and if I'm going to have to pay anyway I will take it to someone I have confidence in. They love to sell you something and then hope they never see you again. I would give zero stars if possible. Never going there again! read more

Stay as far away as possible. Low price is not worth dealing with them. Plus they are not as competitive as they think.

My wife and I want to express our gratitude for the team members that worked with us through the shopping and delivery process. They were patient and supportive when we had to rethink a decision. Initially, we planned to finance an older RV, but changed our minds when we realized it was not cost effective and asked them to help us find a new RV, which we are very pleased with, and had it not been for their patience, we would have switched dealerships. We are so glad we didn't. This is the second time we have purchased an RV from LaMesa RV, and have not regretted our decisions. We would like to recognize Brandon Sorbel in Sales, Michelle Rice, in finance, and Ron Verdino in Delivery and Service. You were an amazing team to work with, thanks so much! read more

We chose La Mesa Rv because of their large inventory and competitive pricing. But the unexpected bonus was the personal service and attention to detail received from our sales rep Scott Woobank. Gable Knight and his son were amazing in helping find our dream travel trailer- that fit our needs and our budget. They listened attentively and provided very useful advice. Compared to La Mesa's local competitors (Camping World etc.) - we felt comfortable. Picking up the trailer was super amazing, will update on service department - as some items for it were on order read more

Awful experience that never ends with service. It has been 4 months, and i am still trying to get my RV warranty repairs done. Terrible communications. You will always need to call in if you want to know something. And good luck getting that call back when you leave a message. They are completely disorganized and not customer focused. Sad that I am actually looking forward to getting out of warranty for the small repairs. It's just not worth the hassle. LaMesa RV does a nice job on the sales end. The problem is that they sell 3-5 times as many RV's than they can service. With most motorhomes you have about a one year warranty and need to take it back to LaMesa for resolution. LaMesa service department is the worst is have seen. Took over 2 months for 10 routine items to be fixed. They lied about where they were at in the repair process and never communicated with me unless I called them. Brandon Ivan was THE best salesman ever. We totally rate him 5+ for his manners and how he went out of his way for us. Every one at the dealership was outstanding. Mickey and Angela did super jobs with finance. Only reason I didn't score a 5 for la Mesa RV was an incident in service. We waited 2.5 hours for a trailer hitch part that turned out to have been there all along. Otherwise... I'll totally recommend you, but with that warning. read more

Drove in to likely purchase an RV I had seen on the internet and talked to them about. A salesman walked up to my open car window without a mask. When I told him I was handicapped and would need to take my car over to the RV, he abruptly said cars were not allowed and that I would have to walk. He never offered a ride in a golf cart or anything. He never offered to bring the RV out to me. My driver and I left disappointed and shocked that we had been treated so rudely. read more

Worst RV dealer for communications. I recently sold my RV. During the process, several dealers reached out to me based on my rvtrader post. LA Mesa was one of them. The first buyer from LA Mesa called and asked a bunch of questions and asked for pictures. I responded and sent all he needed. I was assured an offer was coming. After several email and phone follow ups I gave up. I got a second call from a different buyer, more of the same. A bunch of wasted time in discussions and pictures sent. I asked him to use the file the first buyer had, but he couldn't. Still not offer even though one was promised. The third buyer was the same. I now realize that this is just the way LA Mesa works. No communication at all. If you don't want the RV, that's fine, just tell me. Don't promise an offer and never send it. For reference, Kelly, Chase, and John were the 3 buyers who I worked with, and wouldn't recommend. read more

We purchased a 2020 Winnebago 22R from La Mesa RV in Phoenix and took delivery Friday, March 6. On our 2 hour drive home, we stopped for fuel and heard what sounded like a tire puncture. Instead it was a leak from the propane tank. All I knew to do was to get the RV out of the gas station. I do not want to tell the entire ordeal but we learned a few things about propane. The key point of this is as follows: IF YOU CANNOT STOP A PROPANE LEAK WITH A SHUTOFF VALVE, CALL THE FIRE DEPARTENT. La Mesa sent a mobile tech but they could not fix the problem and did not get back to La Mesa. The next day, Saturday, Richard Toth from sales and the delivery manager, James Lemaster, called me before La Mesa opened, to find out about our situation. They asked if I could bring the RV today, Saturday, and assured me that they would resolve the problem. Normally, service is light on Saturday if at all for RV's. I took the RV and they found the problem to be faulty O-ring. To repair the tank would of taken a long time, so La Mesa replaced the tank with a new one. I was driving home in 3 hours. In addition, they paid for a full tank of gas and gave us a starter box of hoses. We are extremely pleased with service at La Mesa. read more

We purchased a used Class B camper van from La Mesa. Though the financing process was easy, the pick-up revealed some shady swap-outs, including an oil change performed incorrectly by their own service garage (the warranty insists it be done at a Sprinter service dealership) that ultimately caused a problem we needed to pay a Sprinter dealership to correct. La Mesa did not accept responsibility for the error, even though they admitted they did the oil change themselves. Additionally, we began to have problems with the batteries that run the camper shortly after purchase. This was surprising, given that La Mesa told us the batteries were "updated." After several camping trips with battery issues, we took the batteries in to a shop, where we discovered the batteries were actually older than the camper itself. So yes, La Mesa put different batteries in - older batteries that had very low voltage (2 Volts in what should be 6 volt batteries). I wish we could say we were shocked, but at this point, we kind of expect this from La Mesa. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION/HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have grown up camping, and my family has owned trailers or Coaches my entire life. My husband and I were so excited at the reality we could purchase our own. The young salesman was nice and had no complaints when we brought back our kids to ensure everyone would have plenty of room. In August 2018, we traded in our toyhauler and ended up purchasing a Winnebego 31G. Upon delivery, several cosmetic items that were suppose to be corrected in the coach were not, so they scheduled an appointment for us to come back. That weekend we took our first trip, and discovered several items were not right. The fridge latch was warped and opened while driving. On the way home, the generator would not run under load, and the refrigerator kept shutting off. Luckily, we bought the magical extended warranty were they "would always treat us like family if something went wrong". When we called to add these items on to our schedule appointment for the other issues, the appointment was pushed back due to parts. It was then moved back once again because there was time (we were told if we brought it in, it would just sit there for a month). After an eight week delay, we brought it in, just to be told it would be a while as they had too many new coaches to get ready for delivery.....So at this point I am upset. During camping season, we go about every six weeks. The weekend in October I brought it in was suppose to be our second trip. My coach has been in the shop for FIVE WEEKS, and we just missed our Labor Day trip to the dunes. The repair technicians communication was very poor, and sales does not want to take any accountability for us paying for a coach for three months that we have been unable to use. Moral of the story, these is a horrible dealership and service department. So sad that they are willing to take advantage of people who save and work to be able to afford and RV, only to sell you something broken and let you pay for it while it is unusable. read more

Shady salesman alert! We went to the Westworld RV show in Scottsdale last weekend. My family wants to upgrade our trailer and wanted to start looking at our options. We were met at the show entrance by a salesman. We started chatting. We told him what we're looking for and he took us to see some trailers on the show floor. After a bit, we found one we liked. We weren't ready to buy that day, but we liked the guy enough to get his card and to continue to work with him once we do decide to pull the trigger. He offered to get us a brochure. We said yes. He told us to go back and sit in the trailer we liked and that he'd be right back. So we did. And we waited and waited and waited... Needless to say, he never intended to come back. It was just his sleazy way of dumping us because he wasnt going to get a sale from us that day. And on our way out, there he was again, talking with another family. Why would we ever do business with a company that hire sales people that are so disrespectful of a potential future client? The answer is we would not. When we got home, the business card went straight into the trash. read more

More of the story. They gave us a walk through on Thursday, despite the fifth wheel not being read:y. We were PROMISED a delivery Saturday morning, this was on us leaving the check .
