Burned crepe

The crepe was burnt and the coffee they gave me was cold. When I commented on the coffee to the server told me she made it correctly. I explained that I've ordered it in the past and it was always hot so they remade it. The coconut cake made up for it though; it tasted lovely.

What a cute place - but, disappointing. 1. It had a strange cafeteria feeling grabbing a tray and pulling it down the line. The menu was small but all looked good. Coffee was fresh and hot. The also had a table of complementary bread. All was self serve. It took the better part of 45 minutes for our breakfast (an eggs/bacon plate and croque madam)...which were ok. Not overly hot, or noteworthy. The most disappointing was the potato galette we waited an additional 15 minutes for, that was only warm, chewy, and not worth waiting for. The staff was friendly. Seemed clean enough. But it was not busy (maybe 6 tables total), and was surprising how the morning there unfolded.

The customer service at la Madeline is top notch! I'm always greeted with a smile and a "bonjour". Billy is an employee that truly stood out to me. He is so attentive, respectful, and kind. The food is wonderful too! Always is hot and fresh (my fav is the Caesar salad!) and the coffee is always delicious. I really love coming here to study because it's peaceful, quiet, and cozy. You will be taken care of at la Madeline, I couldn't recommend it more!

YUM! I've been going to La Madeline since I was a child and have always enjoyed their staple items. They do soups and salads very well in addition to the sandwiches I've tried. On this visit, I got the salad trio and a cup of soup and everything was very good. Typically when I get strawberries romanoff, the cream is served on the side. At this location they put it over the strawberries, which turned out to be very yummy. If you're looking for a quick and light meal, I'd recommended visiting La Madeline's.

Valentines breakfast at la Madeleine's. Yes please.

What a wonderful concept. Walk in to see the pastry case with all its beautiful yummies on display. Grab a menu right there if you're dining on a full meal. Walk down the buffet line to get your pastries, salad made, and order at the register. Self serve drink station. Seat yourself and the food comes to you. Breakfast bacon is perfectly cooked. The croissants and just as you'd find in Europe. This is a nice twist to the Waco breakfast scene.

We couldn't find a breakfast/cafe/coffee place to eat at on a Sunday. This happened to be one of the only places open. The breakfast was really good, very cute inside with a fireplace and the workers were very friendly. We took home a baguette for dinner and my family loved it.

Food here is amazing! Their tomato basil soup that you see is delicious

Magnolia Press is their house coffee shop serving up all the coffee house classic beverages and snacks. Beverages were all the basics with a few specialty drinks, both hot and cold. The food was standard breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Prices for everything were moderate, but expected. I went with an iced mocha and chocolate croissant, while my partner went with a breakfast croissant. The food came out a few minutes before the drink, so we munched on the goods while we waited for the coffee. The food was good and the drink was tasty. It hit the spot for sure! The flow can get a bit backed up depending on how busy the baristas are...and they were busy! We waited a longer time after ordering than we did in line to order, but neither wait was egregiously long. Once we got the coffee, we made our way outside to the courtyard. We passed the small, but cute dining room. The space is gorgeous, perfect coffee house and Magnolia vibes. Overall, great entry point to the market. Lovely vibes and decent coffee!

The iced marshmallow latte!! It's got vanilla and caramel in it too. Holy caffeine, I love me some Magnolia Press. They have a nice selection of pastries as well.

It was decent. Four…read moreof us, on our way to Galveston, stopped at Kim's in Waco for lunch. The place is decorated in fun 50s - 80s decor. It's very much a diner. We got seated right away around 1:30 pm on a Friday. There appeared to be only two servers covering the entire room but they did a pretty good job of it. Our waiter, a young man was quite pleasant and knowledgeable. He used an electronic order taking device and was able to customize anything we asked for, right in the device. Three of us ordered shakes. My friend loves Coconut Cream Pie, which they have and she was considering a shake. I suggested she ask our server if he could make her a Coconut Cream Pie shake with vanilla ice cream. Sure enough, he did it and it was quite tasty. For lunch, we ordered as follows: - Patty Melt with Tots (shared by my wife and I) - Kids Finger Basket with 1 Chicken and 1 Steak finger and tots - Steak Finger Basket with Tots The food was very diner diner-like (fried or flat top grilled) and it was tasty. This was a decent and fun lunch and we'd stop here again.

For dessert, Apple pie with ice cream -- good and reliable. Lemon meringue pie -- disappointing despite a well-executed meringue; crust crumbly; texture and taste didn't quite align, with a subtle metallic lemon note. After two bites, not appealing enough to finish. If you're after traditional diner food, Kim's delivers on core items. Dessert may be hit-or-miss.
