There is always great service here. Many of the employees as well as the Managers have been with the company for many years. The space has a nice patio and great WiFi that is very easy, and not arduous to access every time I come. I went with my family for the first time today on Mother's Day and we thought it was decent at best. My dad had ordered a croissant sandwich with an order of classic waffle and fruits on the side and the food was cold and he also ordered a tea in which they didn't even use your typical hot water for it. My mom had ordered a classic waffle with a quiche and again the food was cold. I ordered myself a French toast with berries with a side of bacon and a chai latte and here's the catch I've ordered the French country breakfast with a drink and his food was only thing that was warm. I woke up early and wanted to run some errands. However, nothing was open except this place. Boy, was I glad I gave it a try. Do you like French everything? This hidden gem is the place for you! When you walk up to the front door, french music starts to play. You walk in, the ambiance, the friendly staff, and the beautiful display of the bakery selection. It's like you're walking into an actual bakery store. I ordered the Florentine Quiche, a cup of cream of mushroom, a chai latte, and yogurt parfait. Wow this place brings back memories. I remember eating here over 10 years ago (maybe not the same location) and I'm so happy to see it's still around. It was extremely busy when I came in on a weekday for lunch. The staff were so nice and friendly! Service was great and it seemed like they really enjoyed working there. I ordered the tomato soup (their signature!) and a half turkey cheese sandwich. It's the perfect combo. The soup is classic and tastes so fresh. The sandwich was piping hot and very filling. I know I lived in Atlanta for 10 years. And I never visited this franchise restaurant. I always try to eat at small independent French bakeries! But driving around endlessly looking for a French only Bakery Google Map ended me here. And in my 10 years of living in Atlanta I never visited Duluth or John's Creek area. Otherwise people clamor towards the middle of the restaurant near the fire pit. And while waiting on all my pastries to be bagged I stood over there by the fire pit as well. Y'all have got to stop being cheap with the heat! So this franchised food... surprise surprise surprise! That coconut cake made me think of being in the Deep South on Sundays after somebody's Big Mama's funeral. Oh yes that cake was rich and delicious! Had more of a cream or maybe even custard type versus coconut milk or cream of coconut milk. Either way it was worth waiting for them to cut me a slice! And the pastries were delicious. It has been a long time since I ate here. From the outside it looked quiet and I wasn't sure how they faired with Covid. But I opened the door and the place was busy with customers. They are still short staffed but I enjoyed my food. Just a hint, order the cafe sampler which is half quiche, small salads, cup of soup. You'll get your food on the spot because the cashier is the one who pulls this plate together. I had the cream of mushroom soup, Caesar salad, flirting quiche. They now pour the dressing on top instead of tossing together, and the free jam is in a dispenser not in little containers any more. It was not as busy possibly due to Covid but there were a steady flow of customers. I opted to dine in . Found a quiet cozy spot near the patio exit. During the Fall/Winter months the fire place is lit. Enjoyed the food and ambiance. Friendly staff as well. The only thing that I was disappointed in is they were out of the sliced bread to go along with the delicious berry spread. There was 1 slice not enough for a baby to eat . I reserve the space for 15 people and upon arrival I was greeted by the supervisor named Shallet who escorted me to the reserve space. The room design mimics something you would see from ancient times which was fitting for a small party or group to enjoy. It was quaint and quiet and allowed for privacy. The staff assisted my party with the most pleasant attitude and continued to check on us throughout our entire time there. Decided to meet up with a friend for a quick brunch and came across La Madeleine. Usually I would pass by the restaurant all the time because it's off in the cut, but after a quick Google search, I realized where it was and decided to get it a try. First off, once you walk in, the restaurant is super spacious, with plenty of room to social distance if you like. They provide outdoor/indoor seating, and even have a small room in the back for private events (on the day I went, someone was having a small birthday brunch). The set up is kind of cafeteria style, so you have to look over the menu and decide what you want before you get in line to order. They will bring the food to your table, but as you go down the line, they have fresh items that aren't on the menu, all of which looked delicious! So you'll have plenty of items to choose from. I decided to play it safe and go with a breakfast croissant sandwich and my friend got Country French Breakfast. The food was amazing! Super fresh, hot, and delicious! My croissant was so buttery and flaky that it paired perfectly with my eggs and sausage. The portion size seemed a bit small at first glance, but after I finished i was perfectly full. It was just enough so that I wasn't hungry anymore but also not too much that I was blotted. Overall the food and the atmosphere was pretty good and chill. Would definitely come back another time! My first time here did not disappoint! Upon walking in, you'll get in line and see all the items of food before ordering at the register. You will see an active fireplace in the middle of their restaurant with plenty of seating throughout, and alongside the windows. The tables, decor and smell of coffee is authentic to their story/history. It felt like I was in a French cottage house somewhere in the countryside of France somewhere ordering food I loved it. For what it is, the prices are a tad much imo. I've been here loads of time, but I guess it's mostly visiting their bakery. And this 1st time experience with their restaurant food in awhile wasn't what I imagined. For instance, yesterday's BOGO (2/13/19) reward was just terrible for the staff and customers: the app malfunctioned, the phone lines had a wait time of over 5 minutes, and the wait time in the store was ridiculous. I estimate my time from stepping into the store to getting my food to be about 45 minutes to an hour. The gal before me said it was well over one hour for her. A lady who dined in didn't even get her food when the rest of her group had already finished eating, and she just wanted a refund. One word: disaster. The food wasn't even superb, average at most. The chicken crepe riviera was pretty decent. At the full price of $12.29, I'd think again about ordering it. Though it was good with minimal flavors, the slivers of chicken and broccoli pieces seemed like it was gone in minutes with the crepe being so thin. If you want something light (and somewhat less filling), this is the way to go. The seasonal beef and parmesan potatoes were a super disappointment bc they were the reason I wanted to visit. At their full price of $12.99, the portion size was okay, but the dish I received didn't look like what was advertised. It looked like a bunch of beef was thrown atop boring mashed potatoes. My sister and I got Quiche Loraine's and they were so delicious. We topped them off with Strawberrys Romanoff. It was to die for. The strawberries were so sweet by themselves.
