Torta milenesa across and fajita up close! Fire !
    Jessica B.

Torta de fajitas and other tortas is Milenesa! So fire! And the fries are delicious too! Green sauce is amazing! We wanted a good torta and definitely found it! It is so gigantic too! Fresh well seasoned meat! Loaded completely with some fries and a cold Mexican Coke! Try this place and let me know because this is a hidden gem and the people are very friendly and helpful!

The best beef street tacos I've ever had. They are soooo good! And the guy that runs the place is super nice and friendly. They are consistent and still fairly priced. Check them out!

Pretty big tacos for street tacod. Had two for lunch but could have done three. Lovely small place . -update Been coming back after the initial time. The tortas are huge and really good. Their chicken tacos are great too.

Warm welcoming staff! I had the taco special fajita on corn with lime Jarritos! It was delicious as usual, I have been coming to this place for years! I always recommend this place when it comes to street tacos. You can tell the quality of meat is better than most places

Chicken, Barbacoa, anddddd.....carni asada? I forget.

Late lunch for 2. Corner location. Parking in the back. Outdoor seating. We got 3 tacos each with different meats. I love that we could choose different taco shells. The flavors were amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed each bite! It was simple, but done right and made the way I would have made my tacos at home. The prices were very reasonable as well. Wish I lived closer. I was surprised this place wasn't busier.

This is the real deal. Authentic street style tacos made fresh and flavorful. You won't be able to stop at just three. The menu is limited to tacos and tortas which is just enough for the maestro to get them right.

The tacos were excellent! I got two steak fajita tacos and one chicken taco. The meat was very well seasoned. I also got their rice and beans which was pretty good! The only con to my order was that I got the chips and queso as well, and I was expecting authentic queso but the queso tasted like the cheese you get at the concession stand with your nachos. I still ate it though but I was kind of disappointed. It wasn't terrible but for a place like this, I would hope that they change their queso and make authentic queso from scratch and not go the easy route. Other than that the tacos were fantastic! Price of everything was reasonable!

Oooooo the chichen chicken! Super friendly spot behind the 7-11 on Greenville. Been there seemingly forever. Large dining room, friendly counter staff and quality food. Huge tortas, and the tacos aren't too shabby for $2.50 a piece. They even offer the choice of flour or corn tortillas for those of us who are not really into corn tortillas. The chicken was cooked well and of good quality. Tacos come with onions, cilantro, and lime wedges, as well as two types of salsa. Couldn't figure out which salsa was spicier, but both had nice authentic flavor. One was green, one red. Their to-go containers make it easy to split up an order between friends to eat at a bar down the block, or you can dine in. Food comes out super fast as well, so if you've just robbed a bank or something you can probably get in and out before the cops show up.

The location is super cute and always packed. You definitely need a reservation or have to go super early to get a spot. There is valet parking as well as street parking, which can get a bit crowded. I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

I wished it came with more than 3 tortillas or at least 4 since I don't put too much meat in my fajitas. I also tried the hickory grilled ribs. It was kinda salty, but the barbecue sauce was ok. The meat was very tender & falls off the bone. The fries that it comes with were alright. There was a little of wait, but I didn't mind since the food was good. Our food did take a while. Our waitress was very attentive & filled our water. There was seating inside & outside on the patio. I was glad that we were sat outside since it was a beautiful day today. Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

I'll admit I was very skeptical about The Chicharrónes because they're either cooked right or they're not. They got it down here. Everything was cooked exceptionally well and delicious. 10/10 recommend. Food and drinks are great!

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
