Amazing hole in the wall place for tortas. 1 torta and and a medium sized drinks feeds 2 people easily. They also give you a noodle soup to complement the sandwich. The coca-cola decorations at the back really give the place a local diner feel. Will definitely want to go back :) read more

I want nothing but the best for these people. I almost asked if I needed to order more than one because my mind went straight to what a normal corn tortilla looks like but I figured the size of it in the picture was as big as the plate so I'll just order. Let me tell you, this was the BEST quesadilla I'd ever had! It was a homemade tortilla with a delicious cheese, cream, and lettuce. I would have preferred a diff type of lettuce or even a heavy load of cilantro but overall I ate this entire thing. Very small place, parking can be tricky during rush hour. They give you free sopa de fideo when you dine in. I ordered the quesadilla de maiz which was very good but the fajita had a weird taste to it, I think it was the seasoning they used. The horchata was decent. Overall it was an average spot. The inside is quaint and there is a bean bar where you can get all the beans you want. I got a to-go ordered and it took about 10 minutes. The quesadillas had a crunchy shell and were a good size. I also had chicken inside and there was a good amount of meat. The enchilada plate I ordered was a lot of food as well and wasn't too greasy. The torta has HUGE pieces of chicken, ham, breaded steak, avocado, beans, cheese, tomatoes, onions and jalapenos. There is so much going on with this torta that its amazing. Neighborhood wise its not the easiest on the eyes but please dont let that stop you. My only complaint is that I have to drive 20-30 minutes to get here but its well worth it. The chicken is tender. The bread is standard for a torta and thick so it soaks up the moisture from the lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and any hot sauce you throw on. This place belongs on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives because it is a hole in the wall that serves amazing food. You are first given complimentary cups of soup. While not the best soup you've ever tasted, it was pretty good and it's free. We ordered the 5 al pastor tacos for $5 and added pineapple to them. The addition of pineapple cost us $0.50 while it's cost triple that elsewhere. The tacos were FULL, overflowing with delicious meat, fresh toppings, a good amount of grilled pineapple, and a ton of fresh cilantro. I would have preferred flour tortillas to corn but that is a personal preference. They were delicious. We also ordered the #1 torta combo (with fries and a drink). The sandwich was fucking enormous. It was filled with delicious breaded steak, grilled chicken, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato on a fresh roll. They also gave us a generous portion of fries. It was great and wayyyy too much food! We love horchata, so we ordered 2 horchatas as well. Not only was it some of the best horchata we've had... again, it came in GIGANTIC cups. Probably double or triple the amount other restaurants give you for the same price ($2.50). Try this place and you won't regret it.
