At first this establishment looks quite homely, spacious with a flair for Cuba, it feels right, I order the Cuban sandwich. IT WILL LEAVE YOU Wanting more. Truly a taste of Cuba. The sandwich was Perfection, tosted like heaven made. There are other cuisine that are offered that Take you there.almost like Mama used to make. The list is Great., come one come All.this place won't disappoint. Try the Aros con Pollo, chicken and rice, the savor will bring back memories of Havana. Fast and Friendly with smiles. All this on Casa View area, must be a God send, also try the Mojito bar, perfection, satisfying, comfort. What more can you ask for. ... you want more, then you better go to Miami and find a Boat ride to Cuba , It doesn't get better than this.

The food here was good, just took a long time to come out. Small cozy place. We came on a Saturday evening and plenty of seatings.

Some of the best Cuban food I've ever had. It was a great vibe, we went in the late afternoon and there was nobody else was there. The server (and only one there) was great, and the place itself was clean. Definitely recommend for some awesome food.

We grabbed takeout from here. While the rice was flavorful, the plantains were sweet and shrimp had a nice savory flavor. On the other hand the black beans, chicken and fish could have used more flavor.

I was the only person waiting for some to-go food while one table was getting their food, and it took 23 minutes to make one cuban sandwich. The waiter/cashier was not very friendly either and did not apologize for the wait. I wish I could say the food made up for it, but it's not anywhere close to as good as it used to be. The fries were overcooked and tasted like they'd been sprinkled with artificial lime flavor. The sandwich was just so-so. Nothing great. The bread was soggy, even though I ate it immediately, and the pickles were cheap and colored with food dye. This place used to be very good. Please fix it. We need good Cuban food.

I used to frequent this cozy little cafe when I lived in Dallas, now living in the suburbs doesn't make it so easy, but decided to revisit this place once again, and it never fails to satisfy my craving for tropical Cuban cuisine. We started out with appetizers, ordering the Yucca Frita, Cuban Empanadas, and Bolitas de Bacalao. All of the sharable plates came out hot and fresh. My dining partner tried the Ropa Vieja (my all time favorite Cuban dish) and I decided to try the Arroz Con Pollo. Both were exceptional, and both tasted great! The Arroz con Pollo is enough to feed two people! We also had dessert, the bread pudding and the Chocolate Coconut cake and both were the perfect ending to a tasty meal. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a unique dining experience!!

I am going to preface this review by saying that I am born and raised in Miami and spent most of my life there. My ancestry has Cuban in it, I ate it all my life since my family cooks Cuban food. Ever since moving to Ohio, I miss easily buying some by going to a Cuban restaurant. Some things I cannot make, so when I get the chance on trips to eat Cuban, I got for it. Sadly, I was disappointed ordering from Havana Cafe thru Uber Eats. I was tired from two flights to Dallas, I wanted some good comfort food before I turned in for the night Firstly, if someone orders food to a hotel, it would be nice if you include some utensils for them. How exactly do you expect someone in a hotel to eat their food?!?!? Thankfully I was able to find some in the hotel. I ordered the following: 1) two croquetas de jamon (ham croquettes). For those unfamiliar with what these are, they are fried meat logs which when done right are heavenly. It is one of my favorite Cuban foods to eat. 2) Masa de Cerdo (Pork) 3) Arroz con Morros (rice and black beans) 4) Cuban Bread One thing the Uber Eats menu doesnt explain, the food comes with black beans and rice... so I got them in two different ways (arroz con moro). Wish it was clear, I would have saved money. Now for the most part the food was disappointing. Both versions of the rice and black beans were bland. The croquettas, were some of the worst I have ever had. They were inedible and gross. It was like they were old/stale. The pork was delicious, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The cuban bread was good. Still the positives of the meal were outweighed by the bad. Wish It was not the case, as I said I really wanted to have some great Cuban food. Alas, this did not happen!

Cute little place. Food was flavorful and a decent portion. Service was eh. But they were busy tending to a party. Live music was nice for a change.

According to Sarah, this one won a Dallas award for best Cuban. - See photo. I have had more than a few Cuban sandwiches in my life, and this one is absolutely top tier. I found the spot on Yelp and we headed over right after a trip to the DMV. We definitely deserved a treat after that. We ordered two sandwiches to split, the shredded beef and the original Cuban. They offer several variations of Cubans..., including one with mortadella that I am already planning to try next time. I will admit, in the review photos the sandwiches might not look pressed or buttered enough. Trust the process. The bread was perfection. I am very particular about grilled sandwiches being truly grilled and fully heated through, and these ladies know exactly what they are doing. The original Cuban was perfectly balanced and a rock solid classic. The shredded beef was - (Meat prep courtesy of Sarah) a delightful surprise, slightly sweet and savory and incredibly flavorful and texture. Just really, really good. We also got a bag of plantain chips, and I respect that those are the only chips they offer. No generic bagged Lays here. Plantain chips or nothin' - I like it!!! There is also a display case full of beautiful baked treats made by Rita. After sandwiches at that level, there was no way we were leaving without dessert. We took three to go: a meringue filled with dulce de leche, which was a total sleeper hit, a guava and cheese pastry, and a dulce Napoleon. Every bite felt special. The inside is authentic and charming, though the tables are a bit tight. I cannot wait to go back.

I was trying to save room for the main course, but there was something so delicious about those unassuming little bites. They were warm, slightly crisp, and completely addictive. We came specifically for the lunch specials, and they did not disappoint. I had my eye on the Piccadilly, a flavorful mix of ground meat with spices, potatoes, and what I believe were raisins and olives. It comes with white rice and black beans, but you can have them mixed together, which is absolutely the way to go. The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors was fantastic. My only small wish is that it came with a few more sweet plantains on the side. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich, which comes with a side. We chose fries and iced tea, and they generously brought us BOTH large iced teas. The sandwich itself was huge, easily big enough to take half home. It was perfectly grilled, warm, and melty. If I could change one thing, it would be to make the bread a bit smaller while keeping all that delicious filling. This place is also a great value. Definitely worth stopping by and checking out.

This place absolutely ranks near the top, and honestly brings more to the table than I expected. The Cuban itself is fantastic. Perfectly pressed, packed with flavor, and everything you want when that craving hits. But what really sets it apart is the vinegar dip it comes with. I was not prepared for how good that would be. It completely elevates the sandwich and had me going back for one more dip every single bite. And then there are the plantain strips. Freshly fried, hot, crisp, and just on another level. I do not think I have ever had plantain chips like this before. Usually it is the bagged kind, which are fine, but these are something else entirely. Honestly, they are worth the trip all on their own. Do not even think about leaving without trying the pastries. I happened to get a warm cream cheese one that I cannot stop thinking about. It was one of those bites where you immediately regret not ordering more. To top it all off, the woman running the place is as kind as can be and genuinely helps guide you through the menu like you are a regular, even on your first visit. I will absolutely be back, especially because I need to try their Cuban take on a burger. If it is anything like the rest of the menu, I already know it is going to be incredible.

First time ordered light to go: congri (cuban rice mixed with black beans) and patacones (smashed up double fried green plantains). My expectations were low. The congri was a religious experience. I've only had congri this good another time in my life and that was home cooked by a Cuban friend. This congri is better than anything in Miami. It's better than Versailles and it's probably the best congri in the world . I come from Ecuador and plaintain runs thru my veins. That I know of Cuba is not known for excellent patacones. But these were up there with the best I've ever had. And trust me that's high praise coming from an Ecuadorian. Second time we came we ate light at the restaurant: 2 cheese empanadas, a cuban coffee (that espresso thimble thing) and a mojito cocktail. The cuban coffee was the best I've ever had but I'm biased bc he put a little sugar in it and it was deep and perfect. My wife who is half Cuban likes it straight (no sugar). The mojito was good but it needs a little work. For the best mojito ever go to Miami's Cafe Versailles. The lovely waitress who waited on us was attentive and even offered to take a picture of us. Met the owner/chef and he shared some of his incredible life story. I'll respect his privacy but he had to go to epic lengths to achieve his American dream. We ordered $100 of food to go. The pork cuban tamal was infused with pork flavor to the max. The sanduche Cubano would be something that fit right in Miami. His Ropa Vieja is right on par with my wife's ropa vieja which I consider better than any I've had in ANY restaurant including Versailles and La Carreta. These guys are so lovely and authentic that I don't think they even speak English. But don't fret, bring your Google Translate and be treated to some of the best Cuban food anywhere. I really loved this place and I really love these guys. Like the owner said: "trato de dar lo mejor de mi" = I give the best of myself from the heart . That's my kind of place. Can't wait to go back
