Excellent place to have a business meeting on the patio and enjoy a good latte and great chicken Caesar salad!!! Waitstaff is very attentive!

Food - First and foremost a third wave coffee shop. Lovely coffee choices, beans, and flavors. I had their breakfast and it was good! Service - service was great. Ambiance - this is where they separate themselves from others. Loved the vibe. Verdict - visit different places of this brand. I have visited White Rock, Addison, Crescent, etc. All good.

Food is always on point, use to be a lowkey spot but feel like word has got out and they stay busy. The people there are always ready to cater to you and the vibes is always great

This place is so lovely! It's a beautiful exterior and interior! I was better at the door and asked to sit where I would like. This is a coffee shop where they serve/wait on you. My server was amazing, she was so chill and kind. I got a dirty chai and a blueberry muffin. The chai was with oat milk so it was smooth and creamy but still spicy with the chai. What I love about muffins is that the outside muffin too is crunchy and the inside is soft! My favorite combo! Parking is free and typically plentiful. I haven't had issues parking in the front. WiFi is free and you can take your laptop in to do work, despite it looking like a restaurant. I had such a great experience I will be back here again!

We enjoyed brunch on the patio as the weather was beautiful that day. We started with a drink from the coffee bar and waited almost an hour to be sat. There were several open places inside and outside. Service was a bit slow as the crowd was not that large. Food was good, but my omelette was overdone a bit and presentation was not that great. We were never asked if we needed anything additional with meal like sauce or any kind. Our water canteen was never refilled and had to ask if we could have ice. We ate and left. We went to see what the hype was about, but plan to check other places out in the area to compare.

I came here with family of 5 on a Saturday morning and it was busy but not too bad. We were told to stand by the door to wait for a table. Then we saw a big empty table and asked if it would be ours and if we could be seated. The hostess kept telling us to wait by the door. We had 2 seniors and a small child so I didn't think asking to be seated at the table we would get anyways is too much to ask, even if they didn't have the servers yet. Food was good but the service really killed the vibe for us. The restaurant itself is really pretty but we unfortunately won't be back anytime soon.

Ascension coffee is one of the few places that opens up at 6:30 am for Brunch. Delicious menu items and a sweet patio where you can bring your pets! Service is fast and friendly. Vibe is chill. Oh and you'll get rewards (local by toast)!

One of my favorite coffee shops in east Dallas. Their San Isidro blend of whole beans makes the best cup of coffee.

Delicious coffee and food. Got the Mediterranean bowl with grilled chicken, super yummy. Service was quick and attentive. We sat outside under their big umbrellas!

Blueberry Pancakes, Aussie Sandwich I love this place! Can't believe it's taken me so long to try it given how many of them are scattered around DFW. Interior is bright and happy, we bad a reservation for our group of 8 on the weekend. Lots of parking around, this one is right next to an apartment complex. The Blueberry pancakes were ginormous and so fluffy and wonderful and chock full of fresh sweet blueberries. The aussie sandwich was perfectly simple and delightful, love the runny Yolk of the egg and the great sauce they used in this sandwich!

Love love love the ambiance here! Ascension resides in the restored old White Rock community chapel with a huge vaulted ceiling and warm geometric chandeliers. The outdoor patio has a fire pit and fireplace for those cool evenings. I'm been here a few times for coffee and cocktails. I still haven't tried the food but the brunch menu looks delicious. They have a golden happy hour with $5 cocktails. The espresso martini and frozen Vietnamese iced coffee were both okay but neither had the intense coffee flavor I was craving. They tasted more like cold brew in strength. The gin and lemon cocktail was excellent though. Hot coffee drinks are great here as you would expect and they have lots of interesting spins on the classics.

How's the patio? Is the place child friendly?

It's shaded and the space is pretty spacious for kids to play around. There's always families there with their little ones.

We had breakfast in the hotel and our server was helpful, friendly and had a sense of humor. We visited the pool and were surprised that it was not heated. The hotel gym was decent, could use a better (newer) bench but it had the basics. Our room had everything we needed (the bed was quite soft) and a great view of the eye across the street. My first shower would only get warm and not hot so maintenance had to come up and show me a safely button to push which allows the water to get hot. This was after texting with hotel staff (a very helpful option) but surprising that they didn't just tell me about the button and chose to send maintenance. We were in room 852 on the North side of the hotel and overlooking the eye. We came back from dinner around 10 on Saturday night and were kept awake until about 1:30am. I guess Main St is where people choose to drive their cars with the music so loud it feels as though it's in your hotel room. The motorcycles and cars also like to rev their engines.... A LOT. The windows appear to be single pane and they don't keep any noise out at all. Due to the noise level, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.  Being on the 8th floor and feeling like I was in the cars that were driving on main st and blaring music 2 nights in a row was incredibly disappointing.  If this was a 2 star hotel, okay.  That is not the case.  Upgrade the windows to double or triple pane.  Your location is great, service was friendly and efficient, but one generally wants to sleep at night and that is not possible at your hotel. We even asked the front desk on our second morning if we should change rooms and were told Sunday nights were quiet. I should have listened to my gut as our Sunday night was not quiet. Although the amount of cars & motorcycles wasn't as much as on Saturday, we still heard several cars with music blaring or motorcycles reviving their engines until around 1am. This was the beginning of a long overdue vacation and birthday celebration and it did not get started on the right foot unfortunately.

Best decision ever From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with so much enthusiasm and seated right away by the window --although I was a little unsure about staying there since it was already cold outside . While we were deciding, someone immediately checked in to make sure we were okay (love that ). That's when the very kind gentleman--who we later learned was Victor Hugo--let us know another table would be clearing shortly so we could move. Top-tier service already For appetizers, we went with the brisket balls, duck taquitos, and a pitcher of pineapple mimosas . Let me tell you... those duck taquitos were SO good That crema?? EVERYTHING. The brisket balls instantly took us back to Turks & Caicos --IFYKYK We also tried the quesadilla, and once again--another hit . So good that we ended up ordering another round of the brisket balls because why not? Shoutout to Sayde and Maria, who were absolutely amazing . Tequila shots were flowing , and we were convinced to order pecan pie with ice cream for dessert . I do wish the dessert had been complimentary, and the pie would've been a solid 10/10 if it were warm--but still appreciated. We started off with a pitcher of mimosa and the duck taquitos. I'm usually not a fan duck however I was told to give it a try. If you hadn't told me it was duck, I probably would have thought it was chicken. The mimosa was a build your own, it came with 3 juices - orange, pineapple and cranberry - and you got to pour as much or as little juice as you wanted. Between the two of us, we each got about 3 glasses. I got the French toast, which tasted like a deep fried donut, in a good way. The outside was crunchy, the inside still had the pillow custard texture. However in my opinion it needed more of the apple pecan slaw especially if you weren't trying to drown them in syrup. My friend had the chilequillas which she really enjoyed but did mention a few times that it was a little spicy. We ended the meal with dessert which was rich and luscious but oh so delicious. It was a cholesterol mouse that was covered in a hazelnut chocolate shell with a raspberry sauce. Overall a great time was had & I'd gladly go back to try more.
