The food was great but the service WAS TERRIBLE, the servers were all very SLOW AND UNCOORDINATED. The took 15+ minutes to get our drink order, another 20 minutes to make the drinks and get the food order. When we got our food they forgot my meal so by the time I ate everyone I was with was done eating. The place only had 4 small tables there so they weren't busy. Never brought us waters or napkins. The pictures on the menu is not the food they have. I ordered a $50 steak and they didn't have any of the vegetables or the picture or the potatoes. Wouldn't recommend going here unless your getting pizza and ice cream. It's more of a quick spot and less of a restaurant atmosphere. read more

I'm sitting at the restaurant writing this. We came for brunch. Food is ok. Not horrible, not great. The place looks amazing, and is on a prime location... Now, the service, OMG! These people have no idea what they are doing... Our waitress was so slow that it was hurtful to watch her trying to put our order together. And of course, order came out wrong. This was a one time visit. I can't stop thinking of a business owner to invest all the money to open this business and then have a staff unable to do their job. I came in to La Griglia the other day because it was right next to school and I wanted to grab a bite to eat before class. I was literally the ONLY person in there. Not a single person stepped into the restaurant the entire time I was there...which was kind of nice, but kind of weird at the same time. How does a place like this stay open with no customers. I asked the bartender/waitress and she said that it gets pretty busy for lunch...I sure hope so because I would hate to see this nice place close down. I ordered the steak sandwich that they had made with flank steak and it was delicious. It was perfectly cooked and accompanied with some delicious fries. It was a little pricey for a steak sandwich but it very good and fresh so I didn't mind paying the premium. I plan on coming back here from time to time before class...I just hope they have enough business to stay open. read more

I love this place, specially their Hamburger. It is, in my burger minded opinion, the best burger in Miami. The meat is tender and well seasoned, their blue cheese sauce has the right kick to it, the buns are fresh, the fries are crispy and delicious. Their other Italian plates are good as well and their week lunch special with an appetizer, main and desert is unbeatable in quality to value in the area for under $15. I do not know how this place stays in business? The $11 lunch special is out of this world. I love the vegetable squash soup appetizer. The pasta for lunch was unique and delicious. The portions are just right so you don't feel like you have a food baby going back to work. The Passion fruit tiramisu for desert was outstanding. They also make a mean espresso. I met five friends for lunch and they all were extremely impressed. Go for lunch, but come back for dinner! The dinning room is beautiful with opulent tables and comfortable chairs. I went with a large party and tried a little bit off everyones plate. Food was impeccable. For appetizers i tried the grilled octopus and the tuna tartare, both flawless. The soup of the day was a lentil soup which was one of the best I've ever had. For the main course they had a special which was fresh lobster just brought in from key west that was incredibly big and delicious. The chicken marsala was fabulous, the frutti di mare was amazing, so much seafood in it. I ordered the lamb and it was cooked to perfection and it came with a risotto that was simply delicious. Not impressed at all, at best it tasted like hospital food - flavorless. Service and decor was good so there is potential. They rave everything is home cooked and handmade...well, maybe so for their sister pizza joint which shares their space. However, we ordered their version of chicken marsala and it left a lot to be desired-the mashed potatoes that my wife cooks out of a box is 50x better. By the way, they first brought us the chicken parmigiana in error and that didn't look any better-the spaghetti was dried up and the chicken was super thin. Although the food was decent, the service was incredibly unsatisfying in this establishment. We had a party of 10 and was never asked of several things that you would expect from a professional restaurant. Our server never asked if the food was okay, if we needed any more refills for our beverages, if we would like to order anything else, or most importantly, if the check was going to be separated or paid in full. Once we got the check and asked if the check could still be split, the waiter mentioned how that was impossible. We then decided to individually write down which food items would be charged to each individual. After doing this for the waiter, he then mentions how he will just separate the check to avoid confusion. We were all confused at our table and frustrated, so we requested to see the manager. The waiter says that there is no manager available, which was a complete lie cause at the end of the dinner, we were confronted by this so-called, "nonexistent" manager. The whole night we were given false information. The food was a bit over priced but I would have definitely recommended the location to my peers. After this experience, I will definitely avoid this restaurant and warn others. Customer service really does make or break a restaurant. read more

After calling 3 times and asking where is the order as 2 hours had past the woman on the phone finally admitted they never got it and didn't know how to cancel it. She was unhelpful.
