Definitely one of the best Italian restaurant in Doral. The food is very authentic with local touches that make each dish special and delicious. There are several spaghetti dishes and they are all superb. The veal is tender and very flavorful. The ravioli is out of this world. The service is exactly what you'd expect from a fine cuisine restaurant; very friendly, knowledgeable and extraordinary helpful. Mariana, our server, and Luisa, the hostess, are the best in the business. They know their menu items very well and will offer the best selection for your specific likes and tastes. The desserts are amazing and each is delicious in its own right. If you're looking for awesome Italian food, great service, enjoyable music and an overall great dinning experience, this is the place. This has been my best meal in Florida for this trip. We have been here a week, this was the best. I split a Cesar salad with the hubby and the salad is often an indicator of the food quality to me, I was not disappointed. I ordered the saffron Risotto with lobster and asparagus and I was so impressed. The picture doesn't do justice since I already removed the shell before I remembered to get a picture. Presentation was very nice. Lobster was cooked perfectly! Risotto was very tasty with tender asparagus. Portions were perfect as well. The Apple strudel was the perfect finish in a nice compact serving. Julio provided wonderful and attentive service along with the rest of the supporting staff. Located in the City Plaza this place didn't stick out, kind of hidden and subtle, could use more signage. White table clothes, nice wine selection, nice outside seating. We went today with our 2 kids (2-4 years old). It was our first time here, we really like the options for the kids (they loved the food and my 4 years old is a picky eater). I didn't know what to order bc everything looked so good but I went with the four cheese ravioli and it was delicious, my husband has a salmon and it was pretty good and we had the bruschettas for appetizer and they were delicious. Also, the waitress was super sweet and attentive, actually all of the staff was amazing with us even when my 2 year old broke a glass (which it was pretty embarrassing but they were very sweet about it). The only thing I personally didn't like was the Parmesan cheese, which it was the shredded one instead of the grated. We will be back as soon as we can. We live a little far away but we will definitely come back. read more

Most interesting restaurant experience to date. Came in on a Friday night at 715 and we were the only people there for the entirety of our dinner experience. To start off, the service was awful. I don't know if our server was new or what, but he didn't know or understand anything. We asked multiple questions and he couldn't give us a straight answer about anything. We also had to ask for napkins because none were given, even when we had food on the table. Also for being the only table in the entire restaurant, he was no where near attentive. Took quite a long time in the beginning for him to even come over and greet our table. Even then, he barely came over to check on things. Now the only saving grace of this place was the food. The food was pretty decent considering the place was completely empty. The caprese and Caesar were good and the arancini weren't bad, but different than any I've ever had. Moving on to entrees, the chicken parm, vodka pasta and the squid ink pasta were all pretty good, however the carbonara was way too salty and I had to add oil to calm the taste. Overall, I don't really understand how this place is still open. The service definitely needs to be improved because we would never come back. It's a shame because the food was pretty decent, but it can't make up for the lack of service. read more

I must unfortunately back off from my prior effusive review. I now attribute it to beginner's luck. Our group waited over two hours for our meals. When they finally arrived, in batches, they were inedibly cold. They served one person a full half hour before the others, as our hungry table Saturday salivating. They admitted they had problems in the kitchen, and had to divide my meal with one of my table-mate's. Seriously? That didn't explain why it was cold, or why they made the previously delicious chicken differently. I had high hopes for this place. Like the good service, it's now vanished. read more

As a regular here, the lunch menu is optimal and so worth it! For 22 bucks, you can a four course meal, warm bread rolls with butter, choice of soda or wine, appetizer, lunch entree, dessert, coffee! I came here with my wife and had a wonderful dinning experience. Firstly, as we entered, we were graciously greeted with a welcoming and warm disposition from the ladies at the front. Furthermore, the staff, including our server, Antonio, were very efficient and responsive to our ever changing cutlery needs as dishes were served. We ordered the Osobucco with risotto, which was absolutely delicious and we ordered the grilled Mahi Mahi, which was prepared perfectly. Overall our experience was delightful and delicious. The place is nice, but the food and service were horrible. We went on a Thursday a slow day and still couldn't get water to the table. My father in law had to go to the bar to get water. The bartender couldn't even make a good margarita, and when asked to replace for a mojito, he said he didn't have the stuff make it. The food is not authentic Italian. The pizza tastes like frozen pizza, and so did the lasagña. I felt so bad for my husband since this was his birthday dinner. We will not come back to this place ever. I've been to Italy, I've been to soooo many different Italian restaurants, ranging from the truly authentic Italian to the Italian-American restaurants all over the country. And this has probably been one of the most disappointing to date, minus the service. The service of the waitress and other waiters was great, even after recognizing that they messed up on something. So obviously the restaurant isn't looking to strive on being authentic Italian. I knew that from the get go. But flavor is an important aspect of the food and is pretty hard to miss. The app we ordered, the bruschetta, was probably the tastiest dish my husband and I shared. It was different from other restaurants that simply serve up toast with diced/marinated tomatoes and chopped basil/olive oil on top. These were exploding with flavor since two had the classic bruschetta while the other slices had different toppings ranging from artichoke & cheese to prosciutto and arugula. The pasta dishes per se...my husband did not enjoy his lasagna. I ordered a seafood pasta plate with a white wine type of sauce instead of the marinara. The pasta had an okay taste to it, the noodles were over cooked (not al dente) and when a waiter offered to bring us cheese, the Parmesan cheese was not fresh (literally and physically). The Parmesan was exactly the same you'd buy in Costco, the shredded type. It didn't feel freshly shredded, and the cheese was moldy. It had literal mold, and I had sprinkled moldy cheese all over my plate. When I realized the green mold, I immediately freaked out. I was starving...I was debating whether to just send the plate back and not eat/ask for a refund but my husband kept my sanity in check and told me to try to ask for a new plate minus the cheese since it looked properly cooked beforehand. I did that instead. The taste was still pretty much the same in terms of the sauce...not terrible, but not something to "wow" me especially with good pieces of seafood. I think their service all in all was great considering the circumstances and one of the waiters offered a free dessert to us on the house for the inconvenience so we chose a tiramisu. The tiramisu was fabulous. But unfortunately, we just won't be coming back -- not because of their service, but because of the underwhelming Italian. Pretty soon another Italian place will open up close to them and I wonder how they'll be able to compete. read more

My wife took me to Coppola's Bistró Ristorante in Doral for my birthday, and it was our first experience. The service and ambience are outstanding. We started off with the happy hour Carpaccio for two that was fresh and delicious. It was a good deal, because it included two glasses of wine. We selected the Pinot Grigio, and it was an excellent choice for a house wine. My wife ordered the meat ravioli, and said it was ok but found they were more like gnocchi due to their small size. She also felt the ravioli was overpriced for the average taste and the small portions. I ordered the salmon with a Mediterranean sauce and a pasta alioli. The salmon with the Mediterranean sauce was delicious, but I found the pasta alioli would have been better with an Angel Hair pasta rather than spaghetti, penne, or fettuccini pasta options. The salmon portion was decent but a tad overpriced. We had the tiramisu which was superb, and the portion was pretty decent. Since it was my birthday, they came in a group and sang Happy Birthday and gave us two complimentary glasses of Prosecco. Our favorite part of the experience at Coppola was the service, ambience, and location. They also validate your parking if you park in the same building of the restaurant. On Fridays through Sundays they have a violinist that starts at 7pm. Although we missed the violinist due to an early dinner, Coppola's played some soft Italian music in the background that contributed to the great ambience. Coppola's has a lot of potential, but they need to either lower some of their prices or improve their serving portions to be more competitive and attract the Doral residents. They have some very stiff competition in Doral with Divieto's, Casa Mariano, and Moderatos who serve italian dishes that are as good or better at a better value. read more

I had a reservation done at 7pm and i got a call at 6:40pm from the manager saying that they had an event of 120 people taking over the whole place and what they could offer me in going to their location in kendall or seating me outside (mind you the weather is horrible and its been pouring all day) so i said no and their resolution was to give 15% off and to go to the other location. The absolute worst service I've ever experienced. Came on Valentine's for a 10 PM reservation. I waited for over TWO hours for our food. Throughout the entire time, the waiter at no point came by to offer us something while we waited, even if it was just some additional bread or water. He just completely ignored us the entire time!! Not even the manager went by to explain what was happening or try to keep the customers happy/informed. I completely understand the fact that it gets busy on Valentines, however the restaurant by the time we ordered food was not even full. Would not recommend this restaurant at all!! read more

I do not know if they are new but, they are not running the place properly, service was horrible, manager with an attitude that ruined our dinner. Probably worst pizza ive ever had. We placed the order and in under 5min they brought the pasta; then after 10min they brought our drink; 10min later they brought the other entrees for the table. if I could given a negative zero I would have- from the moment we got there the service was horrible. not only did we wait 40 minutes to sit after having a reservation - but our food took an hour and half and after taking a few bites realized it was raw chicken. the manager never even came to our table to apologize and see if there was anything else they could do. my first and last visit to this restaurant. read more
