Absolutely excellent experience. We were greeted at the door and led to one of the booths in the main dining area. The space is ample and well organized. We had the Diavola pizza, a couple of sangrias and our favorites, the caipirinhas. The pizza was perfectly made and absolutely delicious. The caipirinhas were the best that I've had outside of São Paulo, Brazil. In my three years of living in Florida This has gotta be the worst food i've eaten . I ordered the bolognese with papardalle and the side of meatballs. Food arrived on time and was more. The meatballs reminded me of something you would get in a school cafeteria. The sauce tastes like the can was open, and the tomatoes were never cooked. The pasta had a weird texture. I decided to give this restaurant a try the other day since I have driven by it numerous times and it always seems busy with customers. Overall, it is a good family restaurant with friendly serving staff and a clean restaurant environment. Ordered -- *Garlic Knots served with marinara sauce. I'm not a fan of garlic rolls so I'm not a connoisseur but I can tell you that I've had better elsewhere. The bread was not doughy enough but more on the hard side. Marinara sauce - on the watery and insipid side. *Lentil soup -- Huge fan of this type of soup and this one didn't disappoint. It had a good consistency, flavorful and a bit spicy without being to unpleasant to the palate. *Chicken Caesar Salad -- Big enough to share and good enough to order. The grilled chicken was nicely flavored. Simply made salad but tasty. *Meat Lovers Pizza -- Nicely proportioned tomato sauce and mozzarella. The ham, sausage, spicy salami and bacon were delicious. But -- the meats were not evenly proportioned on the pizza; so presentation-wise, it looked a bit sloppy so not everyone got the same amount of meats on their slice. *Chocolate Pizza -- Nutella spread with strawberries and powdered sugar. if you like Nutella, you'll find this concoction delicious. While dining at this restaurant, I witnessed a very rude interaction with another guest. The guest had ordered a beer while waiting for his to go pizza. When the pizza arrived before he finished his beer, he had a bite of one of the slices. The manager approached him and said it was company policy that to go orders couldn't be eaten on-site, essentially telling him to leave. The guest reacted way nicer than I would have in that situation. Despite mentioning that he even tipped because he was having a beer, the manager simply replied, "Sorry, it's company policy." This is a ok pizza/Italian place in the Doral area. It wasn't busy the time we went which was early evening in the middle of the week. The customer service was a little sub par with being ignored at first while the workers were texting or scrolling on their phones. They were friendly when we finally were acknowledged . We just had a simple order of a pizza & pasta dish. Food service in the kitchen was slow especially when it wasn't that busy. Pizza was ok with a burnt bottom but still edible since as you can tell from the picture the top looked great. Pasta was decent but sauce was lacking some flavor to it. Awful First off I'll telll you about the pizza- oddly cut into 4 large slices like as if it was a personal pizza but it wasn't. It was basic and I've had better frozen pizzas. We got pepperoni and it was just ok. Since we were expecting much I could have moved on without the need to write a bad review. But the pizza arrived cold which means ofcourse it was hard and chewy. I called them to let them know and a simple apology and suggestion for resolution could have worked but they were like yea well it's not our fault we didn't deliver it- they took too long to pick up so it arrived cold. Which I said was a poor excuse. But they passed me off to the manager who said they were too busy to deal with this and that it's not their fault the pizza was cold. We visited Piola on a gorgeous Florida Friday evening. This was our first time having dinner at Piola. We really enjoyed our experience. We sat outside in their cozy terrace and felt Berry safe. The young lady that took care of us was very attentive. We went with some of our best friends and enjoyed our time at Piola's very much. For dinner we had the garlic knots and the burrata with prosciutto both were delicious, our waitress gave us a recommendation for her favorite pizzas and we went ahead and ordered them. The place is really nicely decorated. When I opened the door feel in love with the decorations. I really like how the restaurant has special promotions and it's very easy to sign up for them with a quick QR code. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the food which a great plus. You can definitely tell people who live by this area really like the pizza here. We went to celebrate a friend's bday and it was my first time coming to this place. The adults had the pasta and the kids had the pizza. To be honest the pasta wasn't my favorite. I tried my friend's pasta wasn't any better. Our server recommended the Rio de Janeiro pizza, it had like a cream cheese on top, shredded chicken and parsley... I had never tried something like that and it was so so so good !! Came here for dinner when I was looking for a meatless option and of course, I opted for Pizza. They had live music by the entrance which was nice. It was an acoustic singer with a guitar. He sang both Spanish and english songs. They had a lot of seating options inside which included booths. They had outdoor seating and a pretty good sized bar too. We started off with a bruschetta. I wouldn't recommend ordering it. It was 4 pieces and the tomato has little basil. The bread wasn't toasted. There is other starter options that sound better. For entrees, I ordered the imperia pizza. It was delicious. My husband had chicken with spaghetti. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the chicken. Our server was very friendly and was available through out our dinner. The only downside I had with this location was that they only have one restroom for female and one restroom for males. They should have tried to plan for more restrooms. The occupancy for this location is up to 156 or somewhere around that, they'd benefit from more restrooms. read more

CityPlace Doral was packed, so my boyfriend and I left to find food. We originally were thinking about going to Flanigan's, but then we were driving around and I saw this place. I looked up the hours and saw they were open until midnight, and so, the decision was made: Piola it was! Located in the same shopping center as a Chipotle that I had recently reviewed, we were surprised to see this not only open but buzzing with people. Spacious parking, funky décor, and more options for pizza than I thought possible, my boyfriend and I had quite a conversation as to what to order. We ended up ordering beer and a strawberry caipiroska for drinks, as well as avocado dip, a Rio de Janeiro pizza, and what is so fondly referred to as a fresa y chocolate pizza but really should just be called a Nutella pizza. I imagine the beer was fine as my boyfriend said nothing about it, but I must say that the strawberry caipiroska which was supposed to be vodka, strawberries, and sugar was more vodka than anything else. Someone else would be happy, but I wasn't as I for once actually wanted something fruity and this drink was simply not fruity enough. Pure vodka overdose. I desperately needed water, and well, we had to ask three times to get water. That aside, service was honestly on point. The food was brought out quickly, our server, Maria, was very sweet, and heck, we even had a man come from the kitchens named Jason, making sure everything was going well. It was, you know, aside from the water situation. Piola provides you with complimentary bread, and well, we had that as well as avocado dip with focaccia bread, and goodness gracious, where has this avocado dip been all my life? I would go back to this place for that alone! Yes, I recognize I sound old and I am salivating like a dog, but seriously, that avocado dip is addicting. In terms of the pizza, I think that there are way too many options, and well, that can be intimidating. That, and admittedly, a lot of these pizzas aren't your traditional pies. I'm certain that there is a Brazilian influence to some of these pies, especially considering that my boyfriend and I ordered a Rio de Janeiro pizza, consisting of pulled chicken breast, catupiry cheese, and a dash of parsley. The pizza wasn't bad; it was fresh and big enough for two, but I do have to say that the catupiry cheese is an acquired taste. I liked it, but my boyfriend didn't, and well, it's a good thing that the placement of the cheese makes it rather easy to remove. They have the cheese all over the pizza in blotches, and well, it looks a bit like cream cheese, so there is that. We opted to take some of this pizza to go, so that we would have room for dessert. The dessert pizza we ordered was full of strawberries, powdered sugar, and the delicacy known as Nutella. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. We also ended up taking some of this home, and well, that's saying something as we both love Nutella and the dessert was scrumptious. Friendliest staff I've run across in a long time! I mean absolutely everyone is beaming with sunshine... it really helped underscore a delightful dinner and experience. They had a live band playing Latin and pop standards. I don't know if that is normal or just a Gnocchi night thing... a bit loud, but we got as far away as possible and could hold a conversation. On the food front, the day we were here was Gnocchi day. For about $15 you get all you can eat Gnocchi. This is offered with ten different varieties of sauce: salmon, garlic, fettuccini, pink, tomato, meat, mushroom cream, prosciutto, four cheese, marinara and fresh mozzarella. We initially were going to get a meat ball appetizer, having had incredibly delicious meat balls at the location in Pinecrest recently, and we're going to share a pizza and a Cesar salad. We got the meat balls... they were OK, but very firm and dense and a totally different flavor than what we had at the other location. While deciding on our pizza we were drawn to the Gnocchi night special, and decided to get that instead. The Gnocchi varieties are presented in roving bowls carried by the cheerful staff. The Gnocchi is perfectly made. Every variety was delicious. And very rich. We tried to pace ourselves, resisted seconds, and yet by variety 7 it was starting to feel like a bit of a marathon. By the time we rolled out of our booth and tried to get home before food comas set in, we were quite certain that it will be a very long time before we touch Gnocchi again. I usually resist "all you can eat" offers, and really have no idea why this one seemed like a good idea... it must have been that we succumbed to the intense cheerfulness of the staff in their suggestions to "go for it... it's great". Don't get me wrong- it was all great. But next time I'll probably have a pizza and a Caesar. I might even get a chance to try a cannoli. read more

I was driving down 87 Ave and saw the sign and didn't see a lot of cars so stopped in to try it for the first time. The menu has an extensive options for pizzas plus you can add any toppings or even build your own. Their pizza is a 12 inch thin crust pizza. I got the Capricciosa which has ham, sauteed mushrooms, and artichokes. The pizza came out pretty quick and baked to perfection. The thin crust made it easy to fold and eat with your hands but I started with a knife and fork because it was very hot. The pizza is enough if you are very hungry and you may share if you are not too hungry. Dining area - The inside sitting area is large and can accommodate a lot of people. If you are tall avoid the booths because they have a raised floor and it is not comfortable sitting with your knees so close to the table. There is also seating by the bar.
