On a recent trip to Florida, my wife and I had one last night to stay in Miami at the Hilton Airport Hotel. We wanted to get something to eat and close by, so we found this little pizza place which was across the street. We walked over and the staff was quite accommodating and very courteous. The pizza was excellent, and service was very good. If I were to go back I would definitely go there again. Keep in mind It's a very small place and has only two tables, but the pizza is outstanding. read more

But this time I wanted to try something new and since the menu was different, I decided to try the pasta Alfredo on the recommendation of the manager because I was thinking either pizza or I really love Alfredo sauce. The manager also suggested that I add some bacon to my pasta Alfredo, which I had never had it that way and oh my God it was freaking delicious. I added some garlic bread just to be able to eat and dip in some of the Alfredo sauce. This is a small hole in the wall type Italian restaurant. I really didn't expect much tbh. I've come here twice now for lunch. Both times I got the mushroom pasta. First time I did with ravioli, second time with gnocchi. The mushroom cream sauce is really yummy, but a bit in the salty side. I found that both the ravioli and gnocchi were under cooked a bit too. The ravioli had hard dry edges and the gnocchi were still too doughy for my taste. My brother, who I came with, got the gnocchi both times. He likes them doughy. My biggest reason for dropping a star though is due to the wait. They are very slow. And not due to being short staffed as you can see several staff members standing around the kitchen. The first time it took almost 30 minutes just to get our food! Second time we ordered ahead on Yelp and still waited 10/15 minutes after the order pickup time. We ended up also ordering a Nutella pizza when we were there. We used the tablet for easy ordering, however the order never even went through. So when we finished eating we asked about the pizza and they didn't have any clue since the order didn't process. So the staff put the order through and we waited for the pizza for at least another 30 minutes! I would come again, but only if I have plenty of time to spare. read more

I honestly like this place because it's open until 12 am, which ultimately makes it the best 11 pm meal option ( as opposed to fast food chains) It's a small little pizza place with a few tables outside for seating but it's best for take out, which is what I did. I got the Caesar salad and the Nonna's Garden pizza. (They had the 12" and the 16") I got the 12", it's not very filling without the salad. The pizza was absolutely incredible!! The veggies on it were fried before used as pizza toppings and it made the pizza taste even better! The crust is super thin and the pizza is perfectly crispy and delicious! I loved it! The salad was good but wayyy too salty. I actually couldn't get through a bite without drinking water afterwards. I think what happened was the Caesar sauce had salt, the vegetables had salt and they put salt on top of that! So it was too salty to handle. Even my mom who puts an absurd amount of salt on absolutely everything tried it and her first comment was "it's so salty!" I didn't finish the salad, but the pizza I devoured! So maybe if you decide to get the Caesar salad, make sure to look out for that or tell them to hold back on salting it. If you like salt, trust me, salt it on your own! They had a little fridge with desserts and I saw a ricotta pistachio cheesecake that looked too good to not get. Oh my, it was absolutely delicious!! Definitelyyy going to be coming back here!! The food here is amazing! Made with love and the best ingredients. I got the chance to meet the chef and it was so wonderful to feel his passion for food, cooking, and his restaurant! We tried the Chef Gianca Pizza, the Pizzillo Pizza with burrata, and the Italiano Vero Panini, which won an Italian sandwich award at a pizza expo in Las Vegas. The Chef Gianca pizza was my favorite only because arugula is not my favorite, but even the pizza & the panini covered with arugula I loved because they add lemon & balsamic to make the arugula taste great! We also had the home made panna cotta with Passionfruit for dessert which was absolutely delicious! We heard that the two most popular options were the Pizzolla and the Gianca so we had to get half and half of both. The pizzolla has cured meat, arugula, and shaved farm for a fresh bite (and a good way to sneak in your greens). The gianca is their white sauce pizza and I would recommend it if you're a cheese lover (you're getting pizza, of course you are). I'm also personally a thin crust lover so I loved the thinner crust that didn't break upon holding a good amount of topping. I love this is a casual eatery with plenty of parking but with elevated options. Food - got a 1/2 Nonna's Garden, 1/2 caprese 16" and a 12" pizzillo pizza for 3 people and had plenty of leftovers. I really enjoyed the caprese. The Nonna's Garden had a little too much corn for my taste, and in comparison to the caprese, was less flavorful. My friends really enjoyed the pizzillo and were happy by the plentiful prosciutto. Service - the woman working the counter/serving was helpful and friendly. Atmosphere - only 2 or 3 tables inside and a couple outside. Definitely more of a pick up and take out kinda place. Also there was a local drunk/homeless vagabond type guy who kept coming up to us and another set of customers dining outside. The workers and owner and another security type guard for the building complex kept shooing him away but he came back several times. Had a lovely experience at Pizzillo last night! The place was busy when we got there which was good to see, always happy to see a restaurant doing well. We loved the market style, fast casual environment - you pick your items and pay at the front then they will bring it to you. The decor on the walls was very cute, Italian signs and quotes. The menu is very diverse and has a variety of items. Chef Giancarlo gave us some background on the place and the ingredients. He's very passionate about using high quality, fresh ingredients and it's great to see that! We went with the Burrata E Proscuitto Salad, Carbonara Pizza and Cannolis for dessert. As we waited there were more and more people coming in and ordering. The salad came out quickly and we dove in! Omgggg the presentation and taste was beautiful! The pesto on top of the burrata along with the balsamic just gave a burst of flavor when eating the burrata! I'm still thinking about that salad lol. We moved into Miami springs a few months ago and want to find our Go to places We wanted delivery so we chose this place because it had a great menu. We ordered a small ham and pepperoni pizza, small margarita pizza and a caprese panini.the small pizzas were about $8 and to add an ingredient was another $1.50-$2.50. The panini was $10.50. Both pizzas were meh. The margarita was just a cheese pizza. No basil. They were like every other large chain place. We were not impressed. The panini was good. The mozzarella and tomato slices were proportioned nicely. The pesto sauce and arugula was a nice touch. Overall though, not impressed. read more

Having just moved to the Miami area, my wife and I were in the mood for pizza. Pizzillo's had good reviews and was labeled as a "local favorite". So, naturally, we decided to give it a try. It's a small, yet quaint, establishment with some charm. The initial greeting and order experience with the young lady behind the counter was fine. The prices on the menu in the restaurant were higher than on the restaurant's website, which is grossly deceptive. We ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza, 12" caprese, and a piece of the passion fruit tiramisu. The wait time was fairly accurate as stated; 15-20 mins, which was perfectly fine. After receiving the food, this is where the problems began...1) The passion fruit tiramisu was inside of a tiny plastic cup, which was a first for both of us, and was $8. Grossly over priced. It was not enjoyable to eat at all. Tart and sour mostly. I could not eat it. The clash of flavors just does not work. 2) When we checked the pizzas after receiving them, my wife immediately noticed that the caprese pizza was missing the fresh basil; one of three main ingredients that make a caprese a caprese. When I asked the young lady, who took our order, about the missing basil, she stated that they ran out of fresh basil. This should have been disclosed at the time of ordering. It is dishonest. If it had been disclosed before hand, my wife and I would have ordered another pizza. I'm kicking myself for not speaking up at that time. I should have. 3) Overall taste of the pizzas was "meh". We have had pizza all over the US and in many places around the world, particularly in Europe, and this pizza is low on ones we enjoy and would want again. Again, the pizza is not bad tasting, but is nothing to "write home" about. We're very disappointed, and sadly so. (Sorry, we did not take pics of the pizzas, unfortunately) read more

I recently discovered this place and I went twice in one week. The pizzas are DELICIOUS! But everything it's way too pricey. Besides the prices, I don't think I'll ever go back due to service. Unfortunately, the two times I've gone the cashier/server Karle was there. She had no customer service skills and she gets bothered when you ask her questions. You can tell that she does not want to be there. Last time I went , she was too busy eating the salad toppings in the corner instead of helping me.
