Ordered to take out a few times and this was my first time actually visiting the store. Not so much seating but the skate park seating was pretty trendy and cute. Very close to FIU and easy enough to find. The pizza itself is super tasty, the bottom has a nice crunch, and the cheese is just enough where it's not thick and gross. The perfect slice and two, in my opinion, is plenty. Not pictured, is some cinnamon rolls that were not my favorite as the were just a little to tough to eat. The food was terrible. I mean total dog shit. I parked there and went across the street to get something at the pharmacy. I thought I'd kill to birds with one stone. Eat and go to the pharmacy. The owners of that business called the tow truck company and ordered my car stoled by them. The left me stranded there. I was gone for 3 minutes. Thats just inhumane. The owners of that business are heartless and clearly just bad people. Not caring whose sick in the hospital and not caring. I ordered on the store's website and chose to have the food delivered. I received a text saying my order had been delivered. However it was left at a wrong address. When I called the store explaining I had been charged but didn't get the order, I was told "we can't do anything about that". They would not credit my account nor send a replacement order. Sooooo good! We saw it on instagram and knew we had to try it ASAP. Golden Lizzard did not disappoint one bit. The pizza was delicious, not crazy huge slices so you can try a few different types without feeling stuffed. Great space and layout; trendy, clean, open kitchen. Staff was welcoming and friendly! They've been open since late April 2024 and I hope they will be around for a long time because I definitely plan to be back many more times, and hope to try some other toppings. I had the Margherita which is my go to. Crust had a good undercarriage and light crunch, sauce was packed with flavors. Needless to say, my mouth was very happy! My boyfriend had the cheese and pepperoni with hot honey. He enjoyed them both, and wasn't sure which one he liked more. I had a bite of the cheese and it was great. I was hopeful that this pizza would be great based on the reviews, but it did not love up to expectations. My family and I got 5 slices because we wanted to try a couple of types. My kids' cheese pizza looked way better than ours. The Hawaiian slice we got tasted like it had been sitting for a long while before it was reheated. The Buffalo chicken slices were slightly better but they were like warm. The place itself is very cool with a skate park type seating area. More tables would probably be beneficial though. read more

It's a simple place, a few tables, limited menu (which is nice) and you have the ability to try different kinds of pizza without ordering a whole pie! Can't ask for anything more. We ordered the cheese, mushroom, vodka pesto and margherita slices along with 2 drinks. Each slice is about $5 which is comparable to slices elsewhere. I will say, the slices were slightly overcooked, pretty brown bottoms, so overly crispy. I didnt mind, but I can see how some people would. The I highly recommend the mushroom and margherita, the vodka pesto was also very flavorful. The pizza was not at all greasy, I didn't feel heavy or gross after eating. They sell by the slice or the whole pie, and their slices are generous in size. They have a great selection of slices, from the classics like Margherita and Pepperoni to Buffalo Chicken and Chicken Bacon Tomato (cbt). On this visit, I tried their Margherita Stracciatella, Pepperoni w/ Hot Honey, Buffalo Chicken, and Chicken Bacon Tomato. All the slices were great, but my favorites were the Pepperoni with/ Hot Honey, Buffalo Chicken, and Margherita Stracciatella. To drink, I had a Boylan Black Cherry Soda that I loved. I'm extremely disappointed, what I received was super doughy, dry and not good. This tasted like a Dominoes pizza NY style right across the street. Honestly, there was no difference at all. I can forgive that mistake but the pizza itself was lacking flavor in the sauce and was very greasy. Out of the three pizzas, my girlfriend and I agree the Hawaiian was the best. The hot honey pizza was honestly better the next morning out of the fridge, you could taste the honey when it was cold compared to hot and fresh when it was dripping grease.
